Everything is so efficient at check-in, plus they stored my luggage for me before and after check-in, which was a real help. Room was tidy and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Barebones basic hotel with a terrible breakfast. Staff is efficient though. I'm surprised it's considered a good option in Nikko, but I guess that reflects more the dearth of quality hotels there than the quality of this particular place.

Super small room, and the room has a bad odor. Free breakfast is no longer buffet style. One hard boiled egg, one slice of bread, one roll, watery coffee, and small salad. Each person is limited to one tray. We didn’t bother to eat their breakfast.

Great location near to the station. Easy walk to restaurants. Room was bigger than expected. Quilt was super soft and fluffy, like sleeping surrounded by a cloud (this offset the firm mattress).

I would stay here again and again. The Lion Supermarket is 2 minutes away walking distance; the station is 5 minutes. Very nice place.

Great location very close to the Nikko station which was important to us so we could catch the World Heritage & Lake Chuzenji busses at the starting point to get seats. Walking distance to many good restaurants and shops. The breakfast was simple (& the same every day) but fine. The front desk provided many amenities free. I subtract a star because the bed was SO hard and the one measly pillow was so flat. My back hurt so much after all the walking all day followed by such an uncomfortable bed. But Nikko was lovely, safe, & a great stop for 1-2 nights.

Great for a short stay.

Breakfast was supplied but is very basic. Staff are friendly. Room was normal Japan size however you could pull the bed out from the wall just enough to step out. Very limited dining options in the area...almost non existent as everything closes between 4 and 6.

Rooms were not quiet. Noises at night very hard to sleep. Multiple beeping can be heard through walls in room 528. View was nice. Not a lot of table space. Carpet feels not clean. more outlets needed.

Good spot. We had an all ages group and the teens loved having their very own rooms for a few days. The organization of the hotel was very thoughtful for both Japanese and English-speaking tourists. Eg long list of stuff you can borrow in case you forgot, tea and coffee always available in lobby, robes and slippers, laundry machines (which we didn’t try). Very convenient to buses and trains. Beautiful views of the mountains surrounding Nikko from our rooms.

Just plain bad. I don't have any words to describe the sadness of the place. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we decided to check out after the First one. If you're in Nikko and have no other options consider it, i mean it is clean and staff is rather nice.

Convenient location

Breakfast was included, but it was very basic, a boiled egg, roll, 1slice of bread and a small salad. The room was decorated with chip board, giving it a cheap, unfinished basement look. Other than this, the service was fine, the location was quiet and had a short 3 minute walk to the train and bus stations. This made it very convenient to visit the heritage shrines and Edo wonderland (note that the free bus to Edo wonderland is a little farther, at a different train station , maybe a 29 minute walk from the hotel.

Great hotel near the train stations in Nikko and walkable around town to restaurants, shops and grocery store. Staff were also very nice.

The rooms are small and very basic. It would be helpful to have some hooks along the wall and in the bathroom. Otherwise, it was great for location as it's close to the bus and train station, and also there is a grocery store just up the street.

Location was great, 5 mins away from Nikko station and ideally placed for exploring. The check in was easy and staff were nice and friendly. Complementary breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Great affordable place to stay if you want to do some sight seeing. This hotel was the perfect location right next to the station. We only stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

So close to the Tobu line Nikko train station! The facility is new and very well equipped. The room was a good size. For only an extra 500 yen you can go to their associated hotel about 7 minutes walk away for public bath/Osen! There's a lot of restaurants in the area but they close early, last resort is the supermarket 5 minutes walk away (opposite to the train station) they have microwave in the hotel so it's a good chance to try Japanese frozen food! (They're so good!) They have a good breakfast which starts very early, which is great because options for food is limited in the morning.

Great Location and a good choice

The location of this hotel is great, being between the two main stations. It appears to be one of the best hotels in the town. The room was interesting, being adapted to fit the curved shape of the building. The staff were excellent and spoke very good English. The free buffet breakfast was basic by Japan standards but still had a good range of options.

Location was very good, close to dining , train station, supermarket and shopping. Kitchen staff were friendly and hard working. I wish there were more electrical outlets in the room, I only found 2 working outlets.

The English speaking staff member was helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The provided breakfast in the morning was very good. Hot food in a seated dining area. It's very close to the train station. My only complaint is there was only 1 pillow provided per person, and the pillows were rather thin. I didn't ask for an additional though because it was late at night.

Nikko experience

I rarely write something bad about hotels.. The location of hotel is GREAT, staff was great and hotel even provides free breakfast. But, the A/C in the room was noisy even when it was on standby and you couldnt turn it of and the A/C was really dirty. The shower head was broken, watter was going everywhere. The toilet didnt really work 100%. Overall for 1 night was ok, to stay more in a room like this? Think not

Hotel was located just a few mins walk from the Tobu-Nikko train station, so it’s a great 1-night transit hotel option. Room, though small (but as to be expected for Japan) was clean and well-maintained. The toilet is rather tiny. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus.

It was on a back street with very poorly maintained sidewalks that were dangerous at night, obviously not the fault of the hotel. On the other side of the coin, the hotel provided a very nice breakfast.

Comfortable stay at Nikko Station 2 bankan

The room layout was better than others for the same room size type. We left a phone behind and the staff helped to keep for us. The place is close to many footy places and nearby supermarket, has parking for guests.

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is good and convenient. Room is small,not easy to move around in the room.

Nice place to stay in Nikko.

Good location (2 blocks from the train station, 2 blocks off the Main Street). Helpful front desk, free parking across the street. Breakfast is a little basic (miso soup, curry, hard boiled egg, toast and a veggie dish and natto), but it does the job. There’s a bus that runs along the Main Street to the Nikko temples, or you can walk ~20 minutes along the Main Street.

We looked that the property was just a short walk from the main train station, and also very close to a supermarket. Most of the main attractions in the area (river, national park, shrines etc) are also withing walking distance, with plenty of restaurants and cafes lining the main street. The breakfast was also very good, with lots of vegetarian options for my husband. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in for our entire 4 week holiday around South Korea and Japan.

Location 4 mins walk to the tohu station. Room is comfortable and clean. There is a parking right across the hotel, not sure why the description says no parking. available. Strongly recommend

Overall, I had a good stay. It's very close to the station, the staff were friendly and there were a couple of vegetarian options at breakfast. The room was also clean and well presented. The only problem is the air conditioner. It is so loud even when switched off. It makes a low humming sound every 15 minutes that sounds like a vibrating phone pressed to the wall followed by a hissing sound that can last for a few minutes. It also turned itself on automatically in the morning. They are aware of it but it doesn't seem fixable without redoing all of the air conditioning, so definitely bring some ear plugs!

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The beds are a little stiff but that’s typical for Japan. Easy walking distance to plenty of cafes and restaurants. They had a good breakfast selection that was free. Very happy with the service.

The breakfast was really good. Although I am a Muslim but still I could find a lot of things to eat in the breakfast.

Vey good hotel

Simple but comfortable and with a very good location. Close to the bus station, easy to take the explore the city. Two comments: 1- the curtains could be more dark and sometimes you can hear your next door neighbours.

The staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean (though very small and basic), and the air conditioner was nice. However, this was the worst night's sleep I have ever gotten. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable (and I usually prefer a firmer mattress) that I had to sleep on the top comforter. The pillows were uncomfortable as well, and I woke up extremely sore. For that reason, I would not book this hotel again.

Good solid stay in the heart of nikko

Great area right near a supermarket and high street. Even during covid they managed that and gave us all bento so we didn’t have to sit with others. Lovely tv, great view of nikko in all rooms (we have stayed here before). Great bed and tv Also drinks machine with booze.

The hotel is conveniently close to the station and it wasn’t hard to find. However, when I got to the room, it wasn’t properly cleaned.

Very close to the JR station and supermarket is just around the corner. Room comes with a complimentary breakfast which was really yummy and good quality, hotel’s facilities could use some updates but for a budget option in Nikko I’m very happy with my stays.

The property is well located walking distance to bus and train stations. The property is reasonably new and is kept spotless and is quite. To say the room and ensuite bathroom is small is an under statement. With the Queensized bed jammed in the corner and against the wall there is little room left to move. Guess the price compared to other properties in the area it was OK.

Somewhat convenient to train station with pretty good breakfast, decent rooms, and friendly staff. Rooms were fairly modern, but the beds were very firm and pillows very flat, which as a side sleeper, was not great. But location to Nikko's shrines and the train were both pretty good. Not amazing, but could reach the train within 10min and the bus station to get to shrines also within 10. For the price and other available properties in the area, it's a good deal and good place to stay.

Very accessible from the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful in holding luggage, since I arrived before check-in started. Room was comfortable; appreciated they asked at check-in if I needed housekeeping during my stay. Breakfast is basic but not in a bad way. I was perfectly happy with it.

Location is perfect. Free parking provided too if you drive. Very near to the train station and supermarket. The room is kept very clean. The only critics is the pillow which lacks volume to my liking. Lastly, the breakfast is delicious.

Superb location!

I knew the room would be very small and so no complaints there.The design made the best of a small space. However my downgrade on comfort was because they have big windows with transparent curtains that mean the room is flooded with light the moment the sun comes up. Extra marks for providing a very good complimentary breakfast

Basic, but clean.

Pretty minimalistic finishes (exposed pressed wood shelving, a bit of a tacky non functioning lamp, etc.) BUT it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. So it just depends on what the customer is looking for. Compared to similar accomodation, it’s a bit on the pricey side for what it was.
