Absolutely loved staying at Nicky's place. I felt like family there - and Nicky went out of his way to be a fantastic host. Breakfast each day was outstanding. The room was somehow very quiet seeing as how the busy streets of Patong were a mere feet away. Bed was comfortable and bottled water was provided every day. Would absolutely come back and stay even longer than the week I was there. Only constructive feedback I would give is they need to be more responsive via their website form/Travelocity. I never got a reply from my two queries. Other than that, perfect.

Hands down best hotel ive ever stayed at! Owner Nicky is the most genuine nice guy and makes you feel at home and goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Left early morning, no lighting at all on the property and it was very dark outside. My partner fell on the step down from our room. Very hazardous. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay.

A Must to Stay Place for a Motorcycle Enthusiast

The theme of the hotel and attention to details in implementing the theme can’t be described. Most of all Nicky, the owner, is a people’s person. He likes to talk to everyone and his conversations have class. You can also get to see lots of antique bikes, huge statues of Buddha, and all kinds of artifacts. Many of the antique Buddha statues brought from India are claimed to be 50% gold, and they were so heavy that I couldn’t even move them, let alone list. I don’t know what the value all his collection would be, but guessing that they would be several hundreds millions of dollars. Despite being extraordinarily impressive establishment, my room lacked some functionality - there’re no hooks or towel bars in the shower fo towel. Same thing goes about the lack of anything to hang towel next to the sink. The property doesn’t have elevators. The check in girl partially helped me when I had to get my luggage to the second floor, but while checking pout l hauled my luggage myself. These things explain why it lost a star.

At this price range maybe one of the best hotels you can find.. it is decent place to stay..

Love the Handlebar!

Always a great stay. The best beds and sleep in Patong, so quiet and peaceful. Love the handlebar! Pool has been refurbished and is lovely.

Nice but would not stay again.

Very good concept which is very well thought through, however there are no chairs or tables outside of the rooms, we had to search for some plastic chairs & the pool is in a very poor state And requires some money spent on it quickly before someone is hurt on the missing tiles. As the rooms are positioned near some waste land mosquitoes are everywhere with no evidence of trying to control them, eg smoke coils or in room killers, add to this that the doors of the rooms are wide open when cleaning the rooms there are always mozzies in the room. Take fly spray, we did and still had many bites each.

So much fun and a fantastic place to stay! My husband and I want to come back!

Sports, Rock and Bikers bar/ hotel. Really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Friendly and helpfull staff. Went with friends and going back next week.

I love nicky's the staff is great you wont find more friendly anywhere especially nicky himself. All I could say is it'd be nice if the pool was renovated its seen better days and the sink in my room had a slow leak in the counter other than that though the place is great. Food a bit pricey and not a fan of breaded chicken but most is good

Beautiful & Relaxing

Beautiful, quiet hotel. Rooms are big and completely quiet. Pool is also great for relaxing. Love this place.

Nice motel.. bike tours never happen..

The bar, restaurant and cleaners were great. The themed accomodation was good. The rooms had little security, a chain and lock on the outside was difficult to use, and inside only a chain that could be easily opened from outside. The room fans were like sleeping under a helicopter rotor with no slow settings. The main reason for my holiday was to take multiple motorcycle tours.. this did not happen, Kai the manager was full of excuses for reasons to not run the tours including, bike maintenance issues too the weather.. it was truely bike riding weather.. upon being challenged about the tours Kai became confrontational and made the stay uncomfortable. If you are looking for a themed motel, this is it.. if you want to ride or hire motorcycles.. go somewhere else.

Ok location but quite a few faults.

Location was good for me. Staff are friendly but check out wasn’t efficient and had to ask twice for my deposit back. The room is a good size but has a few issues. The door is secured by a chain only and leaves a gap where someone could lift the chain when you’re in the room!! The TV gets interference on all channels so is impossible to watch. The over-bed fan is great for quickly cooling the room but even on the lowest settting is too strong to have on more than 5 minutes. Overall the hotel concept is quirky and different (in a nice way) but the poor door security needs to be looked into.

A really unique place to stay! Good food and an awesome bar, the rooms are nice and quiet so u can get a good night's rest or sleep in! Its also not to far from bangla rd if u want to have a night out.

Great atmosphere budget accomodation

The staff are great. We stayed for 5 nights so got to know all the staff. We ate at the bar the majority of meals as the food is good and convenient. Be aware the bar does get rowdy and is open to the road so is loud all the time. The rooms and pool area is surprisingly quiet set behind the bar. Don't expect 5 star but it offers you everything you need. We left feeling like part of the family with hugs all round when we checked out. Don't say good bye say see you next time.

Comfortable and Affordable.

Wonderful place to stay in, with friends ONLY. Polite and helpful staff. Decent breakfast and well located. Not too close and yet not too far from the bustle.

Hotel was central for us, staff were excellent. The theme of the hotel was as advertised (motorcycles) would recommend to others.

Value for money and cool theme

Very clean rooms, cool bike themed decor, the pool was a good size. The breakfast was simple but good. Approx 6 breakfast dishes to order from. 10 min walk to bangla rd, would def stay here. GREAT value and no issues. Very unique too

Harley themed rooms

Great staff and wonderful Harley themed rooms. Located north end of Patong 5 mins walk to beach. Great breakfast. Pool needs some attention with lots of broken/missing tiles. Great value for Patong and would definitely recommend.

Great Stay

It was indeed refreshing to stay at Nicky. Very unique design and setup and staff was great and location was good.

A great place to stay

Nicky’s is a really nice place to stay. Staff all friendly Nicky himself is very friendly and happy to help with anything. We had two rooms and I couldn’t fault the cleaning staff.The rooms,, shower and toilet always clean. The bed was very comfortable and pillows were cleaned and it was made up daily with clean linen. The breakfast U get free is the best variety and tasted yummy. Al meals on the menu are really tasty and the area is clean as are all amenities. The staff in bar and restaurant are friendly speak very well English. We stay in many different accommodations and I would recommend Nicky’s Handlebar to anyone. It’s a feeling of safe and friendly environment along with reasonable rates for all you get and a handy area to stay. We will definitely stay again

Boutique Hotel with lots of interesting details.

Stayed for 3 days. Have stayed before so came back for second experience.

Hotel is close to most facilities

The staff are excellent as are most of the facililities. I found it hard going though taking my heavy suitcase up the stairs which are made of old railway sleepers and my room was on the top floor (second level).They do not have a lift.Everything else was great.

Motorbike Themed Hotel

We thought it would be fun to stay in a motorbike themed hotel as our friend is into Harleys. The restaurant part is fine and the rooms were okay but a bit tired. The most dissapointing thing was the pool which was a disgrace, a lot of tiles were missing and it just didnt seem a very hygenic place to cool down. We were happy to check out.

It's a good place

The place is interesting with almost everything motorcycle-themed. The Internet connection was good and the pool was simple but nice. Breakfast was a choice of set options; I wasn't quite tired of it after four days but I know I'd look elsewhere for food pretty soon. The free beer upon arrival was a nice touch. The room (201) got very hot anytime we were out. AC would only work with the card in the wall slot and, while that's not unusual, you would have to wait about ten minutes before the room was close to comfortable. There is a large, loud fan above the bed which would have been great if quieter and could have the swing function turned off. There is a motorcycle seat as the desk's only chair and it became very uncomfortable; it's a nice touch for the theme but I would have loved a regular chair. Right across the street is a place where you can get an hour-long massage for 200 baht (this was in late April 2016). Hotel-arranged cab rides cost 800 baht but we took the 600 baht offer from a cabbie on the street. The big Jangceylon mall is about 12-15 minutes walk down the street from the hotel and the night dining area is just a minute away, both to the left when exiting. Patong is much more expensive than I remember it being in 2008 but hotels are still oddly very cheap. Nicky's Handlebar is a good hotel for the price.

Pros - Staff was incredibly nice. Very helpful. Food was very good. Nice to have a good bar. On a main road so easy to find places. Cons - bed, pillows were filthy. Some of the wooden stairs were damaged so could see easily someone getting hurt. The way you lock and unlock the doors were very inconvenient. We had to move rooms because the fans did not work. That's not a good thing in Thailand.

Unique biker hotel

We stay forth time here. Have to say that we had some issues of unsafe lighting in the room - got electric shoke by the bed lighting. Pool lost many tiles and now remaining tiles are rasor sharp and cut our feets and hands. Concrete ground arounfd rooms and pool area start to break. I was told that was behalf construction nearby the hotel, but it shall be fixed. Like also that staff clean rooms before early evening ... English speaking staff only available at looby. Joices of breakfast are limited - just a handful choices. Coffee taste could be better. One time the restaurant was closed without information to hotel guest and at night not accessible.

Worst ever

Don't stay here. The bed sheets had not been changed, had blood and other stains on them and at times the staff were rude and completely ignored me.
