Superb hotel but very few dinning options although a wonderful town to look round.

Overnight stay en-route to Cascais. We have stayed at this hotel several times before and it has always been excellent

We booked two rooms the rooms were very spacious and clean but the showers was broken in both the bathrooms. They need to fix them. Using the shower was a challenge, the water was going all over the place.

I liked everything about this place except the Wi-Fi was terrible in the room. Lobby and restaurant Wi-Fi was good

I was only here for an evening but the gym was well equipped and rooms were very spacious. All of my needs were met for the afternoon.

Very nice. Great location on the river. The batn towels could be updated -Very thin. I filled out the form for breakfast and left in the door. The breakfast never came. Other than i had a great experience

Outstanding

Really nice hotel, certainly nothing wrong per se. Only a 20min walk to Badajoz centre, and only issue I found was again a lack of kettle in room. Sure there’s a coffee machine, but two capsules and two shot cups isn’t really enough to start the day. Other than that, great hotel, staff fantastic

No one explained anything If I know the place was under construction I would’ve not gone there I thought it was expensive they charge me an extra $44 on top of my room charge which I don’t understand and I would not recommend it to anybody!!!

I was amazed by the rooms, so clean and professional looking. If I ever return to Badajoz, I’ll sign up with this hotel again!

It's disappointing as I consider that by looking at the photos of the room I was expected to be on versus the room I ended up with it was a worse experience. So if you book a superior room and expect a jacuzzi or a nice tub, you won't actually get it. Also in terms of conditions, I've stayed at better hotels that were 2 and 3 stars. The worse part for me was that I had hoped that at least the wifi they got right. Certainly you pay for a 5 Star Hotel and expect there to be at least good speed Internet. Well not only did I get a really slow connection, but I also paid for their premium Internet service and got a really bad connection (even whilst paying for premium) So yeah, definitely won't be back.

Wonderful staff, especially Alicia who always went the extra mile to help and please us. She made our check in super pleasant by allowing us in earlier and always had a smile on her face. The breakfast was more of a 4 star than a five star breakfast. The fruit tray , for instance, should have been refilled all the way till 11am. If breakfast is served till 11am, then guests who arrive at 10:30 am should be honored the same availability in food as those who come at 8am.

This is a 5 star hotel and a great place to stop if driving to or from Madrid to Lisbon. Badajoz not much of a town, but pretty river, plenty of restaurants etc. SUPER affordable for such a lovely room and property. Book it!

No rain in Spain

Hotel is clean and the rooms are large and comfortable and it is a nice 10 minute walk into the old town across the bridge. The hotel itself is a little soulless has no real bar area that you would want to sit in for drinks, perhaps as it also has a large Casino attached so they prefer you spend your time there . Breakfast was first class and the room where it is served looks out over the River and is a pleasant place to start the day.

I loved our stay at this hotel, their staff was friendly and accommodating. They gave us great advice about restaurants and areas to visit so they made our vacation extra special. The hotel location and parking facilities were a plus for us. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Badajoz.

Our stay was good. The parking a bit expensive for such a place. Breakfast was good. The dinner was a little expensive , but there were no places to go for the dinner around the hotel.

The neighbors hood was scary. Beggers are all over the outside preying on the guests. One begger run up to my female companion at full running speed to frighten her.When I told hotel employees at check in they couldn't have cared less. I guess that type of behavior is normal for the area. Also my bed was horribly uncomfortable, One of the double sinks in my room didn't drain.Sauna in the spa didn't work and showers had no shower head and the water dribbled out of pipe. Could not wait for the night and my stay to be over.

A night in Badajoz

One night in Bajoz before flying home. Hotel mostly used as a casino but residential part quiet and clean. A bit complicated getting around the building!

Excellent hotel with spacious clean rooms

Overnight stay enroute to Portugal. The restaurant did not have an English menu but Saul the waiter was extremely helpful in translating the menu, the service and quality of the food was excellent

We went as they advertised Full Spa Service. They just had a whirlpool and a sauna, no massage service etc. Parking was advertised as Free parking they also charged us 18 euros for that

Ok hotel in Badajoz

No pool, no bartender at the bar so could not get a drink, only a small bar in the mini casino, only restaurant full because graduation night, staff not helpful regarding a place for dinner. The room was nice and comfortable. Would not recommend it to a friend. Room service dinner cold.

An overnight stop en route Algarve. Rooms are excellent but the breakfast is very overpriced.

Businesslike hotel, good position

We spent one night at this hotel, en route from Portugal to northern Spain. We much appreciated the standard, the ease at check-in, the helpfulness of the staff. We had reserved a parking space in the adjoining underground car park. A good recommendation for supper in the old town led to a decent supper and a good walk through picturesque streets, and back over the old bridge. A comfortable night, in excellent beds. Superb bathroom. On check out, we were handed my husband's glasses - he had left them on the roof of the car in the car park... they had checked the cars and found them. Bless them - a great hotel, lovely staff.

Good hotel within walking distance of the cathedral and daytime sights. Restaurant excellent plus we were upgraded to a junior suite

Very noisy hotel- you can hear the street traffic and anyone in the bathroom next door. Very cheaply constructed- I stayed in a suite and it was still a dump.

Good for business visits.

I visit Badajoz quite frequently and almost exclussively stay at yhis hotel. It is a decent business hotel and is the only 5 star hotel in Badajoz. Do not look for anthing fancy, elegant or romantic with this one. It is a straightforward business hotel, with decent rooms and friendly people. What may be a bonus for this hotel, although not for me, is the fact that it has a casino inside it. There is parking underneath the hotel. And although you need to get a ticket to get and, and perhaps pay when leaving out during yhe evening, the parking lot gates are open during the morning hours which makes it unnecessary to pay for it.

Really grand hotel with very attentive staff and fantastic rooms. And if you want something extra, you have a casino and a spa!

Best Hotel in Badajoz

Stay again in this nice and clean hotel, the staff speak english and very service minded. we can highly recommend this hotel, only negative thing to say is the price for Breakfast, but just outside the hotel there are plenty of alternatives.

We found the hotel with no problem, except the sign on the outskirts of the town said 3 minutes to hotel - I´m not sure how they were travelling, perhaps with superman, but it took 15 mins. at least. The reception staff were absolutely delightful. The only complaint was the gin and tonic in the casino - possibly the worst I´ve ever had in Spain - watered down?, surely not!! Overall, fantastic value for money. Thank you Hotels.com.

Extremadura weekend getaway, lacking SPA

The SPA was small and lacking treatments.

Good Location - Nice Facility.

Location was good - about 25 minutes from shopping and eating areas. Facility was very attractive. Front desk staff pleasant. We did not visit the actual casino. Parking was catch as catch can but we did ok.

Good Hotel for business travelers

Hotel has a casino which I did not use, nor did I use the spa and pool facilities. For sleeping and dining it is a very good choice.

Decepcionante: lejos de un verdadero 5 estrelas.

El hotel se promociona como de 5 estrellas, pero en realidad no pasa de 3. El desayuno es muy básico, sin opciones adicionales de la cocina, los huevos revueltos sueltan agua y la reposición es lenta. El personal es educado, pero sin mucha simpatía. Las toallas son ásperas, el papel higiénico de baja calidad y las almohadas bastante limitadas. No ofrecen zapatillas y la única “cortesía” que recibimos fue una nota amable con cuatro dulces, solo porque era nuestro aniversario de boda, sin ningún otro detalle especial. La cortesía de agua se limitó a una sola botella pequeña, aunque éramos dos. El frigobar no informa los precios de los productos, lo que genera incertidumbre. La habitación es amplia, sin balcón, pero con un baño bien distribuido. La recepción es correcta, pero no ayudan con el equipaje. El casino es un extra, aunque nada especial. El acceso al desayuno es incómodo. En general, le falta el nivel de servicio y atención al detalle que se espera de un hotel de 5 estrellas.

Albergo ottimo ma vacchiotto. Ristorante chiuso x restauro bar e altro ristorante associati a Casinò, dove x entrare serve passaporto che io non avevo con me

En general ha sido buena nuestra estancia aunque la temperatura del ha habitación estaba por debajo de lo deseado. La tapa del WC estaba en mal estado de conservación.

Um Reveillon fracassado

O Hotel NH Casino Extremadura Badajoz tem um ar exterior moderno bem como uma recepção vistosa. O lobbie é minúsculo para um hotel desta dimensão, talvez porque o principal objectivo é o social do casino. Os quartos são amplos mas com aparente desgaste, porque não a oedir alguns retoques de renovação. A cama é confortável e ampla. Fomos em grupo para o Reveillon. Um pesadelo. Relação custo/qualidade mito baixo. O pequeno almoço pouco variado. O jantar de gala foi ridículo para o que se pagou. A carta parecia convidariva mas o resultado ficou muito aquém do desejável para as expectativas. O maior pesadelo foi o cotillón.. nada mais nada menos que um ambiente de discoteca, com música gravada, até às 7 da manhã, audível em todo o hotel, não deixando pregar olho quem se propusesse deitar a horas decentes, mesmo tratando-se de um Reveillon. Para concluir, hotel de 5 estrelas muito a desejar, ideal para quem vai de copas e de juego, porque o melhor da festa terá sido a barra livre... do resto.. só cheiro a 5 estrelas... coçado.

Una experiencia inolvidable como siempre. Viajo mucho, y, reconozco que es mi hotel preferido, por todo en general. Destaco un personal y una directora, que te hacen sentir como en casa. Muy recomendable!

A hotel to not repeat in Badajoz

Not good! Outside temperature 21 degrees and Air conditioning just doing hot not cold… why?? Where is the individually controlled temperature?? Asking 5 times for help to the reception and everything became the same: all the hotel just programmed for hot air… we open the window and outside a very noisy street even in the late night ( even not soundproof window when it was closed!)… I must close the window (room ok) in the first autobus at 5,30 am… so I simply didn’t had any rest all night. … good breakfast; nice reception!

Estancia en NH Gran Hotel Casino Extremadura

Mi estancia en el NH Gran Hotel Casino Extremadura ha sido óptima. En un primer momento fuimos informados de que nuestra entrada al hotel sería a partir de las 15:00 pm y pudieron realizarnos el check-in a las 11:30 am, lo que pudo facilitarnos nuestro plan en Badajoz y el trato en todo momento fue de gran calidad.

Para ser un hotel 5 estrellas deja mucho que desear, bañera muy pequeña, pocos servicios en la habitación, y mas detalles que no desagradan pero que cuentan...

Una bonita noche

Aunque solo estuvimos una noche, nos gusto muchísimo la habitación, así como los servicios del hotel y por supuesto la atención del personal. Volveremos!

Excelente ao nível da higiene, conceção do espaço e conforto. Um ponto a melhorar, o pequeno almoço, é bom mas não se equipara ao pequeno almoço de um hotel de 5*. O casino é lindo!!

Hotel de 5* que mais parece ser de 4*

A minha 1.ª vez no hotel Casino de Badajoz começou mal! Não havia nenhum porteiro à entrada do hotel para indicar-me onde podia estacionar o carro e nem um funcionário para transportar a bagagem para o quarto! Depois ao chegar ao balcão para fazer o check-in, previamente feito em pr.hoteis.com e integralmente pago, sem direito a reembolso, sou surpreendido pelo recepcionista de que a minha reserva não constava na lista de reservas do hotel??? Uma situação muito desagradável, porque fizeram-me enviar o e-mail que o pt.hoteis.com me tinha enviado com a confirmação da reserva. A situação resolveu-se passado algum tempo de espera. O quarto que me foi atribuído, apesar de dizer PREMIUM, está a precisar urgentemente de algumas remodelações. Tampo da sanita partido, tampo do bidé com marcas de queimado, o poliban deixa sair água para o chão, enfim, coisas que não esperamos ver acontecer num hotel 5*. Contudo, os dois recepcionistas procuraram ser amáveis, assim como o funcionário do restaurante, apesar da sala estar muito fria na hora de servir o pequeno-almoço, pois éramos os únicos ás 10h e até parecíamos ser os primeiros? Para terminar, a minha opinião é que o preço/qualidade está um pouco aquém dum hotel de 5*
