Good hotel. As in most hotels you can easily hear neighbours and doors are slamming like it’s a bank safe. Clean rooms, good breakfast.

Vacation stay!

Overall hotel is good! Beds were made every day. Towels were changed as per request (we had to go to the front desk every night to make the requested). Very noisy. We could hear people talking, when neighbors were taking showers and using the restroom :( Hotel offers free coffee ! Staffs were helpful and friendly!!

It isn’t close to city center that is the heart of Barcelona. Raquel and Sandra are great help to guide you to your activity and how to get to nice places. They were very professional/kind. Staff at breakfast also very nice. Room was so tiny and quiet till I fell sleep and it was impossible to sleep with every room door banging and also housekeeping starts early and noisy. It was a safe hotel for sure.

Great 24/4 front desk. Great breakfast selection. Spotlessly clean. Mattress could be better. It would immensely help the quality of night rest. Particularly if guests are staying for quite a few days as it was my case. Overall, good experience in NH Eixample.

Good property. Good stay. Nothing amazing but we were only there the one night. The breakfast was good. One thing I hated was they had the smoking area right at the entrance. So every time you would walk in or out you would get a strong smell of smoke.

It’s a nice, older city hotel. Lots of restaurants in the area. Not too close to major attractions.

I travelled solo so expect not to get best room. However the room was basic. The noise in this hotel is a joke. Walls must be paper thin. I could hear someone going to the toilet in room next door. Noise coming from a neighbouring building at 7am on a Sunday morning from someone doing washing. Then half an hour later can hear someone’s personal alarm going off. Followed around 9am by cleaners in corridors. Upon check out I complained to reception. Was told “this is an old hotel”. No service recovery whatsoever. You can not call this a 4* hotel.

Excellent location, easy transportation, nice staff and clean!

Paid hotel prices for a youth hostel quality stay. Not a hotel I would recommend staying for more than 1 night. Incredibly noisy! Every sound echoes throughout the hotel due to the layout and tiled floor. Impossible to sleep. The room is tiny even for a hotel room in the city. Lastly, bathroom was not very clean, dirty shower stall, rusty drop ceiling and the drain did not function properly.

The NH in Eixample is a good value. It is clean with a bright, well-lit entry and friendly staff.

Walks are like paper, you can hear the next room even when they are opening their curtains the sound is terrible. You can hear every toilet flush etc. We were in 515 right next to the escape stairs and was woken up two days 8am by really noisy workmen dragging huge poles up the metal staircase. It was my birthday and i had a cake and a small bottle of fizz in my room which was a lovely touch. The decor needed redoing as wallpaper was chipped/peeling off and could see where holes had been filled mutliple times in the ceiling. Walls ceilings and skirting boards bashed and tired. Bedside lighting only.The bed was very comfortable although there was no iron and you had to request this from the front desk then try and iron on a miniature ironing board on the bed. If you have clothing needing ironing on two sides dont even attempt. ne day someone knocking on the door while i was getting dressed and came in. Went to look who it was and it was construction workers. Don't want random contractors around my belongings when I'm not present. This made me pack and lock my bag and put all my jewellery and makeup in the safe. No mention of planned maintenence from the hotel so wasn't too pleased with them being able to let them selves in. Staff all very pleasant and very willing to help with anything. Free drinks vouchers if you dont have a cleaner each day. Great range of drinks to spend them on. Lobby Comfortable seating area which smelled amazing. Great if waiting for other groupmembers

Location and breakfast is superb. Feels as comfortable as home.

Value for money in a quiet neighbourhood

Front desk staff was friendly and efficient despite being very busy. Very responsive when we needed a heater for the room. The hotel is old but good enough for a stop-over pre or post cruise or short stay. The area is not crowded, thus not noisy but walkable distance to the tourist strip and many restaurants. I would say the hotel is value for money.

Ariea at the front desk was amazingly helpful to help us extend our stay and stay in the same room. The bathroom is an ergonomic nightmare. Toilet crammed into a small space, dangerous tub. Phone in bathroom is in the way, fell on our feet several times

The staff was amazing. Mateo in the front office and the three women who manned the breakfast buffet went above and beyond. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was in a nice location. Everyone was very helpful. We received free drink coupons to use at the bar, but the bar was never open. There were so many cafes and restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel.

Not happy at all

I stayed on 3rd floor and was stinky as you can smell seafood in the corridors. The room had no access to sun light, I could only see sewage pipes (see picture). No sound insulation as I could hear room doors slamming and toilette flush all day and night

We had a pleasant stay at NH Eixample hotel on our short visit to Barcelona. The hotel amenities were great and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We did not experience a lot noises or disturbance at night as we were on the fifth floor as other guest have stated in other reviews, however, there was significant noise during the day which is perfectly normal. The breakfast options were great and we had a good meal every day before we ventured out to see the city. The hotel is located in a nice and safe area next to an abundance of local and tourists restaurants and the burger joint which is at the corner of the block served a great burger if you need a quick bite. Overall an amazing stay and would definitely come back here next time I’m in Barcelona!

Good hotel

Clean and comfortable. The rooms are a little dark but comfortable and cozy. Good places to grab drinks/tapas nearby but a little walk to the main sights.

Great bed and pillows are very comfortable, however I was on the 6th floor And water pressure for the shower was not that good. Other than that no complaints. Breakfast had a lot of healthy options too.

Value for money

I enjoyed everything about my stay at the NH Barcelona Eixample. No complaints.

I tell that good but I don’t know not free breakfast and don’t tell me about pay breakfast and disappointing.

Considering the price (I paid a little over £200 for four nights, over a weekend) the hotel was in a great location, the room was a decent size, and it had a little bath (too small, I'm very tall! But it's so rare to get one). The shower was super powerful. TV nice and big, although we didn't use it much. Black-out curtains were perfect - it was totally pitch black when the sun rose. My one main complaint, which was as much to do with fellow guests as the hotel itself, was the NOISE from about 7am onwards. Clonking, banging, pipes, boilers, doors banging non-stop, the cleaners outside, guests talking in the corridor, weird popping/banging noises from the window frames, the scraping of shutters from other rooms, and the windows were no way near soundproof enough to block out busy street noise... lots of sirens. It was just extremely noisy, and I'm a very light sleeper! Otherwise all good - and you might get lucky (we were on the fifth floor) and I'd still recommend this hotel if a) you're on a budget and b) can easily sleep through CLONKing!

Mixed Review

Great location. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms. However do note that if you’re in a room attached to the back indoor courtyard, you hear all the water and drainage in the pipes. Plus the marble floors in the corridors amplify all the sounds. The hotel room doors weren’t set to a slow close, and the hotel patrons weren’t considerate about how they’d close their room doors so the doors would slam shut. As a result, it’s impossible to get a decent sleep. I was told that the whole hotel is being upgraded in late 2020 so hopefully that issue will be addressed.

The location is excellent. It sits in the middle of the city, so the major attractions are very close on the metro or by taxi. The airport is only 15-min away by taxi, or about 35 by metro. The staff was helpful, and the rooms were very good, just as I have experienced in other NH locations.

It was a pleasant stay. We did not use the facilities of the hotel much as we were mostly exploring the beautiful city of Barcelona.

Very clean. Very poor sound proofing. Not only can you hear everything going on in the street (even with a non street facing room) you can also hear ALL the noises in the hallway and the doors slam so hard that anytime another guests enters or leaves their room, you hear it.

We have come to rely on NH hotels. They are always excellent.

Overall a great choice, only problem is the noise factor, noise carries in the hallways easily and can be heard all hours of the night, door slamming people talking.

People at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and smooth. Check out was easy and smooth too. Breakfast was excellent, from the coffee, to orange juice, to the selection of food, just fantastic.

Great place to stay if you’ve been to Barcelona

Excellent overall service. Bit far from the beach but for the price you’re paying it’s a trade-off you have to make. On the plus it’s really close to Sants station. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel though. Was in a superior room so I had a super comfy king sized bed which I loved, large room for BCN standards with enough natural lighting. If you’ve been to Barcelona before it’s actually great because you have a real neighborhood feel at the location without it being too far from points of interest.

The room was very small, dark. A window with no view , or more exactly on the other room windows 3 meters from you in all directions...Poor TV programs . No movie channel.

Good located NH Hotel

Hotel's location is very good. It was 15-20 min. walk to La Ramblas. Check-in and check-out was very quick and staff were were friendly. Wi-fi, air condition, water presure, bathroom equipments, cleanless of the room and the hotel was perfect. Thank you.

This is a disaster hotel, you cant rest in this hotel.I changed rooms 2 times because of the noise , and their was no progress at all. You where sleeping in your room and you could hear everything going on your floor, and the doors they close very very loud. They also had contruction going on in the whole building. Worst experience ever

Location and staff service was very kind! We love did that as soon as we got in they had freshwater and candy to receive us, also the staff was very helpful to Carles over the phone when the check-in was ready and a taxi whenever we need it.

Friendly staff, at times not enough people working to handle those checking in vs those guest who need help. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices to select from. The room was a nice size and the hotel is close to the metro station.

Liked: Central location. Easy to and from airport. Metros and markets very close. Close to gay area. Didn’t like: we were given a hot room even though it was cool outside. Hotel said that they switch between AC and heater units depending on the season. We never saw that in any info when booking the room. We said we didn’t like it so there first solution was to give us a fan . We said that wasn’t acceptable so they moved our room. The hotel should notify guests that AC or heater may not be available. We might not have booked it if we knew. But they did resolve it in the end.

Champions League in Barca

Great stay convenient to everything Barcelona has to offer. And the staff was incredible.

The lovation was a little firther out than I expected. We were recommended a restaurant close by that was not very good.

The hotel lobby & entrance way was lovely & clean however if only the room we stayed in could have matched the entrance. Room was disappointing, comparing with the reception area... the 3rd bed we had was bowing in the middle.

The staff were lovely but the room was a bit noisy. Friday night I could here music until 2.30am and all night the fridge in the room kept kicking in and making a noise.

Didn’t not have coffee or tea in room

good location- the room was a bit worn, ( wall paper & flooring ) Check in opened at 3 pm , we arrived at 2pm ( been told room available at 3...) hotel was not busy, it was rather dissapointing we could not go our room at 2 )

it isnt how we expected it. not as on the pictures. Couldnt cancel booking after checking-in woth üay back, as we booked over e bookers. Staff was mostly very kind. We checked out a day earlier than planned and went to a 5 star hotel in the centre
