The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. Was very conveniently located.
Close to the ferries
The service was excellent. The Lady at the desk was very helpful.
we enjoyed our stay. Will be staying again.
While the property was great, the same can't be said for Expedia. Expensive service; when a date change required further costs; overburdened with messages. BOOK directly with Newlands Court, not through Expedia!
great location for our purpose of being there close to and easy to get to wellington and hutt valley
Actually really enjoyed my stay at Newlands Court Motel. The staff were excellent, and very friendly. The room I had was refurbished, was really comfortable and warm, quiet and nice. I'd stay there again.
Cutlery made avaliable. The tv could be made to be able to watch from bed. Otherwise very comfortable an enjoyable Thanks 😊
The motel staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The motel is well placed to get to ferry. Very clean and comfortable. Only negative was slow drainage in hand basin
Easy check in. Neat and tidy room. Close to motorway
Nice room, cafe closed at the time
Overpriced for this property. Convenient for city access. Adequate for one night stay.
The toilet hadn’t been cleaned the extractor fan was dripping grease and dusty. Layout of room was only redeeming feature.
Good location. Cleanliness and service could have been better for the price paid. In some me cases the room was only partially serviced. Bed not made. Towels left on the floor. The floor area was not once vacuumed. It is not what is expected for the room price.
Room was very nice
Overnight Stay
Comfortable for an overnight stay with a kitchen that had all you needed. Close to Johnsonville shops. However, the Internet is not good enough for business purposes - certainly not for a zoom meeting. Staff helpful
Clean rooms, good bathroom, very quiet.
Should come again.
We arrived late, left early. Very pleasant manager made it all okay. Excellent shower, comfortable bed, small room.
Friendly staff, clean, great comfy bed, great bathroom. Close to restaurants 😊

Clean & Safe
Newlands Court Motel was a clean safe place to stay
Had lovely stay here, very tidy and very friendly and helpful to our family thanks again for great stay. Really nice people
Amazing stay, would stay there again. Easy check-in and check-out.
Great location for a weekend stay near Wellington. Motel was clean and bathroom very new. Would stay here again.
My partner and I, as well as my little sister and her partner enjoyed our stay very much. We loved the space in the room, the space in the bathroom. The tidiness of the room and how amazing the shower was. The only thing that i was sad about, was expecting a spa in our room like the picture. I then realized that its in a differrent room which was not shown upon time of booking. Had to find out upon arrival that no spa was there. Also, hearing everything and anything happening from the room next door. Was absolutely disappointed but despite all that, the room was definitely amazing still 👌 & i would definitely stay there again.
Good location and good service from the staff showing us around and telling us about local places eat etc. The room was smaller than expected, but staff were accommodating. Some things were a bit dirty. Room service did make the bed and refresh the towels, but didn't restock the tea/coffee. Thin walls, could hear what the people next door were saying. Good parking.
Manager was very welcoming and friendly. Amazing and clean room. Helpful staff.
Awesome spa bath, friendly staff, uber eats delivers with gas station tight across road.
Comfortable, Clean rooms close to Interislander making peak time travel to the ferry fast and easy
The property is significantly overstated in it’s descriptions and the service needs to be better for the price. The kids playground is actually just a rusty slide and a broken swing. Don’t come with kids if you expect a playground. We were locked out of our room on day 2 at about 11am and had to find someone to reactivate our key card. When challenged on why, the host response was that cards expire after 24h for security reasons. I have never had an electronic key “expire” before the end of my stay before - and further to that it had not been 24h (20.5h), so this was a poor excuse. Room not “serviced” until about 4pm and it wasn’t serviced. We were given fresh towels and that’s it. Bins not emptied, dirty towels left on bathroom floor, and the microwave oven was a biohazard.
Lovely room, really handy to town. Managed to be at my desk in 30 mins
Easy check in. Easy location to the ferry to Picton. Lovely comfortable bed and nice quiet air con unit
Satifactory stay, everything clean & tidy.
Really enjoyed our stay there, great setting and atmosphere. Would come back there again
I took the cheapst basic studio. I found the kitchen a bit small for a multi-day stay. the slightly more expensive Premium Studio is more suitable for a multi-day stay. The room was cleaned and serviced daily (including Christmas Day) The staff were obliging whenever I asked for anything.
Great spacious room with everything you need. Very comfortable and clean.
Good for a night.
Pretty average, but absolutely ok.
highly recommended only 10mins frm CBD, extra modern bathroom, free parking, close to countdown and new world
Short. Too small. P
Average motel - okay if you are just there for a night
Extremely average
Extremely functional .... the curtains didn’t reach across the window so you had a night light coming in. The tv needs to be on a “swing arm so you can watch from your bed
Overpriced
To say that this motel room was overpriced would be to understate the position. The room was barely big enough for the two single beds. This was made even worse by the huge black leather sofa beside one of the beds. I believe that there was a music festival on in Wellington the weekend we were there and the motelier had put the price up. Had we stayed there the next week, the room would have cost about a quarter less and even then would have been overpriced. The TV gave us 11 channels, three of which played the same infocommercials, two played cartoons, one played wrestling, one played Sky Sports and one did not work at all and one played a channel we could not identify. No Freeview. I would not stay here again.
Away from city
The hotel was okay, but too far from the city and no restaurants shops or much of anything in walking distance
Small and cosy
Disappointing was the fridge, the food we put in pretty much was frozen the next day and it wasn't even in the frozen area of the fridge, eg small milk - frozen solid,. Also there needs to be clear guidelines about the parking space because whatever room number you are allocated, that is your carpark space, um hello we arrived at night and there is ample car park space available and only get told to park in the correct space day 2 of our stay.
Good location for exploring Wellington
Close to Motorway and Supermarket, with easy access to city and other areas by car. Rooms are functional and well kept, although storage is limited. More suited to short stays.
Average place, average price.
Ordinary motor court, average location, average amenities, average price. Exactly what you'd expect with a 2-3 star rating. Good enough, safe enough, cheap enough.
Fresh and new. Close commute to the city
What a gem. Only reasonably priced place we could find in Wellington last minute. A close 7 minute drive to the city. 4 adults and we all had a bed to ourselves. Amazing shower. Would recommend!
Less than a week in New Zealand
Let me begin with: This is my first experience traveling outside of the United States and am learning as I go and having fun doing so. I stayed in a ground floor suite and loved every minute of it. The bed was comfortable, there was a full couch, table with chairs, kitchenette (with cookware, dishes, utensils, and supplies to wash them), and walk-in shower with spa tub. Had I asked the gentleman at the desk, I would have discovered how to work the oven. Let me make this clear...if you are having any issues with your room, or something is not working...CALL THE FRONT DESK. The staff are more than happy to help. For people not accustomed to energy saving methods of other countries, New Zealand has toggle switches for every power outlet I have seen, and for large draw appliances. Once you get used to it, the feature can become quite appreciated. The air conditioner was incredibly silent and came with a remote control. The T.V. was of appropriate room size and came with 10 local channels; perfect for getting the lay of the land, although I watched the sports channel most of the time. Not only am I recommending this site to my friends and family, I am planning on returning to Newlands Court Motel for any breaks from University I may need.
Has been renovated
Quite, has been renovated. Rooms are small but layout works. Easy access to go into Wellington or up north.
