Great Central location
We loved it for our honeymoon! The elevators continually malfunctioned, but other than that, we loved it!
Great gym. Rooms spacious. Awesome location!
Thank you
Very disappointed with having rang before hand to arrange a complementary gift for our friends 50th birthday and spoke 3 times to staff during our visit and was told a gift would be delivered to room has a surprise. Nothing was delivered and we felt very disappointed with this.
Great hotel in a fabulous position
We weren’t sure what it would be like staying in Times Square but it was amazing. And this hotel was fantastic. Loved both restaurants and the views. And the complementary bus tour. Amazing.
Excellent overnight stay.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was super friendly. The times square view was nice.
This place is central to Times Square and accessible to all amenities
Great hotel, great location.
This hotel is very nice and we chose it because it was close to all of the Broadway shows so we could have a safe short walk back at night. The bathrooms were a nice size with an actual door, compared to other hotels in the area with tiny bathrooms and pocket/barn doors for bathrooms. I also especially liked that there were many elevators so the wait was not long for those. My only dislike was the additional $40/day destination fee which seems to be standard for hotels in the area. However, they are very transparent about this additional charge on their site and you do get a $40/day credit if you charge any food or beverages to your room (starting at 11:00 am). Overall I was very pleased with my stay and it is a great choice if you want to stay in the theater district or near Times Square.
The room was larger than expected and very nice!
I love the location and the friendly staff, I don't like the food price is to expensive.
I am a city girl and this was an amazing stay in the city.
Great hotel with lots of amenities provided on site like restaurants and a convenience store. Could be a little hard to leave hotel on adventures because it was crowded but that's expected since it's in the heart of Times Square. Quiet, clean and safe rooms even though you are in the heart of New York City. Would definitely stay again!
Super nice employees who went above and beyond. Convenient location with easy access to transportation, food, shopping , entertainment and everything Times Square has to offer.
Great location, overall staff was great, but I did have one staff member limit complimentary water. To be honest that one staff member is the reason I cannot give the hotel 5 stars.
Wonderful location and lovely amenities
The location was perfect for the purpose of our trip.shows and restaurants right on same street.
The hotel is located in an excellent location. You can walk to the majority of attractions and you are right in the middle of the Time Square. The only thing I wanted to point out was that the beds were full size and not queen so you have less apace for 2 gown ups fitting in the bed.
My family and i stayed here because it was at Times Square. Could not believe how nice the staff was and the surrounding area was so vibrant with activities. The kids were amazed by the atmosphere, billboards and food options. Thank you and i will return and also recommend.
Excellent location!
Everyone on the staff was excellent. The low rating was due to our experiences at checkin. Except for Charlie and the initial person checking us in the staff at front desk were very rude. Even asking for a check out bill to be explained was returned with rudeness. The bell hops and security made up for the rudeness. They were very kind and helpful. But I avoided the front desk as much as possible.
Beautiful property next to Times Square
Beautiful property adjacent to Times Square
Great location, great staff.
This property is great for my plans, to see Broadway plays. The front desk staff, Delois, was very kind.
Very pleased with our stay .
Great location and excellent staff.
This NYC hotel exceeds expectations.
I came into the city for the Cross Country Dance Competition and arrived before 7 am on a Monday. From the moment I arrived until I said goodbye to the parking attendant the next day the team treated me with the highest level of service and professionalism I have experienced in a long time. They guided me to the correct location with ease, always stepped forward to help when I had a question, made check in and check out smooth and quick, and attended to my special dietary needs with the utmost care. The facility is beautiful, clean, and spacious.
Always enjoy this Marriott Marquis . I exemplified NY ... you can get any experience you wan
Great
Not my first time to NYC, but this was my first time staying at this hotel and will now be my go to hotel from now on. Room view was amazing, staff was so nice. It is right in Time Square so there is so much going on outside but the hotel room was so quiet. All subway entrances are super close. The gym was amazing, great view of time square while you work out, towels and water are available.
This location is great if you’re looking to stay in Time Square. In addition to the hotel being super clean. The staff was amazing and very friendly/helpful.
The hotel was great as was the staff.
Excellent hotel with close proximity to Broadway shows.
Great visit to NYC! Hotel was very helpful with our medical needs.
Great place!
The room was spacious and clean. More than enough room for our kids to move around, house keeping came around everyday. Worth the money with the free 40$ a day towards food or drink. Loved that we got a free attraction with the hotel stay. Reception desk was always nice and helpful, clean drinking water by the reception desk. Loved everything about our stay
Great location for tourism
Very good!
Horrible stay! Ruined my mom’s birthday. Bed small, sheet scratchy, room not clean, when they decided to clean the cleaning staff burst into our room at 8:40. Food was cold
The room was spacious and clean
Large room for NYC!! We loved it
The elevator situation is ridiculous. If there were certain elevators assigned to certain floors, and you used one elevator only for the duration of your stay, it would solve a lot of this problem.. I will never stay here again Huge groups of children, most of which are unsupervised or staying in the hotel, pushing and shoving to get in the elevators. If certain elevators only went to certain floors and you had to use a certain elevator for the entire entirety of your stay and we’re assigned an elevator at check-in it would eliminate this issue.
Extremely convenient to theaters and restaurants.
Excellent service Well run hotel
Amazing As Always
Amazing, Have Been A Regular Guest For 10 Years. The Staff Is Amazing As Always!!!!!
Wouldn’t change a thing
Loved being in the heart of Times Square
Location
We did have a problem with the shower drain when we checked in. Requested maintenance and they came eventually and couldn’t fix the issue. We finally asked reception to move us to another room, which took sometime, however it was finally resolved.
Great location, clean and larger than most NYC rooms. Loved the attraction perks, discounted rates for others not included in your stay, and proximity to broadway. Dining options were ok.
Nice place. Close to everything.
Super convenient location. Elevators were a bit confusing at first but we got the hang of them. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The meals in the 8th floor restaurant were great. I would stay again!
I loved the Time square view. It was quiet, did not hear much in hallway or other rooms. Very clean.
Perfect location and very clean!! Will stay here again!!!
The elevators
I liked how it looked and that it had a nice gym. I did not like the noise and being woken up at 4 am. I also didn’t like the smell that was in the hallways.
There were issues with the elevators being very slow and not running properly on our ladt day. But otherwise a great hotel
Clean and quiet. Great staff. Perfect location for tourists!
I loved this
My husband and I stayed two nights while in town to see a play. The staff were helpful, the rooms were clean. The Revel and Rye restaurant had good food. We requested a room on a higher floor to cut down on noise and were very comfortable. We would stay again!
Great location!
The property was beautiful and our room overlooked the ball drop pole. However, the only complaint I have is that they charge you $40 per day plus taxes to "use at the hotel" I wish this was included in the initial price, not after you get to the hotel.
My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the Marriott Marquis! It was the perfect location, near just about everything! We will definitely be back!
Great
Very friendly staff!
This property is big. A little too busy for our taste. Waited a long time for elevators since there was a big conference.
Very tourist friendly. Literally a block from Times Square. Surprisingly quiet to be so close to the chaos.
The week long stay was great until the day we left. We asked the concierge to help us with travel to the airport and Dragan pulled out his sheet and gave us a price for the 5 of us to get to hotel. We paid for the reservation and were told we would receive a call 15 min before pick up. No call. Text 3 min before. We were pulled over by the police a couple of blocks from the hotel. The office told us them giving us a ride for money was illegal since their vehicle was not licensed. We were sitting in the side of the road for at least 30 min. The driver was given a ticket and a ticket was given for the owner. The driver got mad and stormed after the officer. We thought he was going to be arrested and we were going to be stranded. It felt very uneasy and awkward and like a drug bust. It felt like a scene from a movie but we were living it. We used this company and the suggestion of the Marriott Marquis in Broadway’s concierge. We then were charged over $30 more than the price we were given. Nothing was said - I saw it on my credit card statement. It feels like shady business and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. When you pay right at $300 for a ride to New Jersey- illegal dealings talk should never come up. I spoke with Dragan and the owner of the Windsor International Limo company and Dragan was mortified and embarrassed & apologized repeatedly & said the company should refund our money. The owner of the company wasn’t phased by this. Disappointing!
Great location, clean hotel, friendly staff.
I booked through Expedia and needed two rooms for me and my daughters. I called both Expedia and the Marriott multiple times to request either adjoining or at least rooms together. They noted the reservation and said it shouldn’t be a problem. Once we checked in the lady tried to upsell us to a suite for an additional $2k and said that may be the option. I said no and we waited another half hour and then she said there were two rooms next to eachother but it was an additional $1k up charge and that was our only option. That’s really frustrating and unfair.
Enjoyed my time. All was good.
Great stay
Our 5th time staying at the Marriott Marquis, always excellent!
Property and rooms are great. Give yourself extra time for the elevators as youll stop at EVERY FLOOR. There are many elevators but the system likes to cram everyone in the same elevator for some reason
Nice!
Really nice hotel and the food in the revolving restaurant was delicious. I would stay there again.
They don’t have water in room
Great location center of everything. Most definitely recommend the hotel to stay for a family.
Me gustó la ubicación ,el hotel está bien.limpio y buena atención.
Excellent location, property and cordial staff
I loved the convince to Broadway and times square
Great stay. Hotel in excellent shape. Friendly staff. Good service. Convenient to everything in Times Square.
Took family here and had a great time. Room overlooked Time Square.
3rd time staying at the Marriot, and we're always impressed. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Staying at the Marriott Marquis made our New York Valentines vacation a five star experience. The room, location, friendly, courteous, and approachable. Staff made our experience delightful. Everyone willing to give suggestions and advice to local eateries Broadway shows tourist attractions, and the ins and outs of getting the best deals. Highly recommended.
Staff not very friendly or helpful. Maybe take a lesson from how we do hospitality in the UK
We visited New York as a bucket list destination for my mother. I had mentioned this when we made reservations for dinner at the hotel and they had a little bucket with NY memorabilia for my mother. I just thought that was a gesture that went above an beyond and made us all feel special
Excellent hotel, great ubication
