Location good. Quiet. Our apartment

We enjoyed one night stay as a family. The dishwasher didn't work and the bathroom started smelling bad after the jet bath. It's probably a sewage issue. Other than that we enjoyed walking to the snorkeling spot and Sunday market across the street.

A nice tidy spot only a short drive from central Nelson bay. Pool was great for kids.

Comfortable apartment but a few negative details

The apartment was spacious and there was a good range of appliances and equipment. There was some evidence of wear, eg some taps were difficult to completely turn off and the spa bath nozzles needed replacing although this is scheduled to be addressed in 2025. Also there was no means of locking the sliding door onto the balcony. Checking in was easy but the WiFi code was not provided and it took over 2 hours before this could be sorted as reception was not staffed. Despite this our overall stay was relaxing and the apartment was comfortable.

Aircon didn't work and receptionist pretty much dismissed us when we notified her.

We were there for a night, room was nice and clean 10 on 10.

The apartment we were allocated was clean but it desperately needs a renovation as it was really showing its age. The main bed was not very good. The pool was good however.

Short visit over long weekend

We were a group of 13 people visited over the Australia Day long weekend. It was an excellent experience staying at this property. Bathrooms were very clean. The swimming pool was very nice. It was heated pool and kids enjoyed it for long hours.

We had a wonderful stay recently at Nelson Bay Breeze holiday apartments. The 2 bedroom superior apartment was very nice albeit the downstairs toilet needs an upgrade. It was very spacious and very clean. The heated pool is fantastic and the grounds are kept in immaculate condition. The onsite restaurant Nostimo is absolutely delicious, friendly staff and the serving size is very very generous.

Nelson Bay Holiday is a-Ok

Kids loved the pool and the proximity to Nelson Bay Beach. Plenty to do in and around Nelson Bay. Location of property is perfect. Property itself not too shabby. Mum loved the laundry facilities. Perfect for getting beach towels and swimmers washed and dried ready for action the next day. Highly recommend this property. Definitely staying there again.

Clean and Spacious apartment

Clean and spacious apartment near the beach. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

Booked at short notice due. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make aure we had everything we needed. Close enoigh to the cebtre of town without being in the hustle and bustle. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Excellent set up.

It is a good location and lovely property but not cheap. We have stayed for several days at his location before and likely to stay again.

The aircon didn’t work and the swimming pool was not heated. Otherwise, the property was refurbished and presentable. My friend came the same weekend and she was given very old place and not clean. Be aware not all apartments are nice there.

Lovely place to stay, walking distance to beach, shops and the centre of everything. Lovely pool. Restaurant was fabulous along with great food and staff. Would stay there again. A few minor things with accommodation and this was addressed to staff but this did not affect our stay. Highly recommend.

Good price and roomy space. No views at all.

Staff, Maria was the best!!! Maria cared to change rooms for a more appropriate room. Shower the flooding floor in the disabled unit created a large problem for all of us. We couldn’t get the air conditioner working to keep us warm. We used our overcoats to wear to bed. Very awkward when I sit up every night with medical issues. The teacups were disgraceful I cleaned then using my fingernails to get the grot off to be able to use. Apart from that the location and personal service from Maria is fabulous.

What a great place to stay. So central and organised. Everything perfect!

Great accommodation in a lood location

Large townhouse with views.

We stayed in the Townhouse apartment. Large sitting/dining area which was great. It was on the second floor, so lucky we didn’t have any knee issues! There seems to be lots of rules too, but overall, a good place to stay. The Westies club was close by, and had great cheap meals.

Lovely quiet clean apartments which have everything you need. Very professional from start to finish. Would definitely stay there again.

Great spot to stay with a family. A 10-15 minute walk to the local cafes and Marina. The only thing that was not provided that I wish was available was some milk( UHT milk) for the tea and coffee which I found strange. We only stayed 2 nights so not worth buying a full milk for such a short time.

Clean and close to town center and bay.

This property was good for our family of four. Everything we needed. Aircon in the living area and both bedrooms. Great blockout blinds for sleeping in on holiday. Nice neat clean pool. Not much storage space for food in cupboards so I tried to keep them in their grocery bags. We were lucky enough to be in unit 4 and had a little grass area which was perfect fir my boys fishing gear and their fish too. I’d stay there again for sure. 👍

Stayed for six nights. Can't wait to stay there again. No complaints at all. Helen and staff were very helpful and location of Breeze Apartments perfect. We could literally walk to wherever we needed to go.... A special thanks to Les for his helpful bread delivery..🍞. Cheers to all. 😁😁

The accessibility to the beach and shopping centre

Dated and old facilities, in desecrate need of a face lift and paint job. Needs new furniture.

With covid issues time slot difficult to get enough time in pool. Also cooking facilities not good,frypan was disgusting . No dishwasher to clean crockery after last person, which left only few hours before. Specially with covid precautions

The staff were friendly and helpful. The suite was clean and well presented. The location is excellent with easy access by car or walking to Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay and all areas between. My only concern was that the Covid-19 declaration form promised was not emailed to us prior to our arrival despite being promised on the booking sheet and when I emailed and phoned seeking it. However the form was immediately available on arrival and it was very clear that they take Covid regulations very seriously. This is a very good place to stay and we will stay there again on our next visit.

Good location but disappointing

Good location. Property is a bit dated. Our apartment had a combined washer/dryer located in the kitchen. It was impossible to have this going while we were in the apartment as the noise was deafening. We were offered a vacant room to do washing in which was OK. Ensuite had no door and the blind in the bedroom had a gap which meant you could see into the ensuite from outside. We had to jam a stopper in the blind to cover the gap. There was a loud water drip in a drain in the bathroom which was very noticeable at night We were in a ground floor apartment and you could hear the upstairs guests walking around. Would not be keen to stay here again if all the apartments are the same

Staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean.

The apartment was clean , however the decor the cupboards the bed , everything is well worn, the room we stayed in had no electrical safety test tags on appliances, rusted light fittings in the bathroom, along with rotted wood around the bath , broken exposed switch on the kettle PowerPoint , laminating missing off all cupboard doors exposing the rotten timber, aircon remote did not work we had to use the power point to turn it on and off, Also blocked gutters causing them to overflow all night outside the bedroom window all night, Over priced and will never stay there again

Great accommodation for a holiday

Nelson Bay Breeze is indeed a great accommodation for your holiday. It was such a clean and peaceful place to stay.

Positive – friendly staff and central location Negatives – I have no idea where to start. Arrived having booked a 2 bedroom townhouse and I got a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment, so not what I paid for. Considering I paid $1000 for 3 nights I was not impressed to be told that was all that was left. Walked into the room to a revolting, musty, mouldy smelling room. The floor was filthy, dishes looked like they have never been washed (or the drawers), bathrooms were disgusting. They were falling apart mouldy and the spa looked very unhygienic. The kitchen cupboards were falling apart and all the coating flaking off. No dishwasher or stove. Needless to say I did not unpack and looked for somewhere else to stay, however being a busy weekend in Nelson Bay everything was fully booked so I had no other option other than to stay. Off I went to Woolworths to buy Glen 20 and cleaning products. NEVER AGAIN will I stay at this property. Definitely no resort, oh and heated pool, I don’t think so it was freezing!!

Had a hiccup upon arrival into our room as it had not been cleaned, but once done it was fine.It was comfortable, but lacked character as it had no outlook & could do with a refurbishment.Having said that it was reasonable value for money!

Nelson Bay good value apartment.

Well appointed apartment, close to Diggers Club, but not much else. Kitchen needs a bit of a reno, but bathroom needs a big update. Spa bath old n tired, getting into a spa bath to shower not so easy, too dangerous. Lovely sunny apartment with beautiful views. Staff pleasant. 30 stairs to access apartment then more stairs to access bedroom and bathroom. Good value 😊

Getaway with friends

It was a very spacious 2bedrm apt short drive to the marina and shoal bay . Walking distance to West Club for nice meals . Nice hour Brekki included

Nelson Bay Townhouse

Stayed in 2 bedroom Townhouse apartment. Bedroom and main bathroom are upstairs. Main room with Queen bed was very spacious. The other bedroom was a fair bit smaller, but had two twin beds. Both rooms had air conditioning as I requested which was great. I was advised that most of the apartments do not have air con in the bedrooms so I was very happy that they were able to assign me to the one that did. Lounge / Kitchen area is quite spacious with an extra toilet downstairs. This place is not luxury accommodation but the apartment is clean and the beds were fine and the Staff were very happy and helpful! Easy 5 min walk to Diggers RSL club. There is also a restaurant on accommodation site. There is a breakfast menu available and the scrambled eggs were decent!

Great location close to all amenities. Nice little town with everything close by. The apartment (34) was very clean and friendly staff

Very Good Location

2 bedroom Townhomes. Very close to the Beaches and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Totally self-service including mandatory removal of your own trash upon departure OR a $50 additional charge. Having a Restaurant on site with a Bar is a nice Bonus as are the Happy Hour prices. Very suitable for Families.

The property was set in a good location, close to beaches and the marina. It was an easy walk or drive if you were feeling lazy. Unfortunately room 11 was in need of love and care with broken knobs, tables, and towel racks just to name a few things, and just a need of some general updates. Even a lick of paint would make a massive difference with many unpainted patches as things had been pulled or broken off walls. We were disappointed that our room was so run down, especially as we saw the one next door which was far better. The property wasn’t at full capacity by any means, so we wondered why we were given such a poor room. Surely you would make sure all the better apartments were rented first to ensure customer happiness and the hope of a return visit. Our apartment even had a funky smell as you walked in the door. Having said all this we would be more than happy to return if we were assured of getting a room such as the one next door.

Booked two bedrooms but it was a one bedroom - very old property - dingy stairwell to third floor - no lift

Honestly I didn't expect so much hotel for the price. Had nice and renovated two level room with everything needed. Has nothing to complain about. Will definitely stay there again.

The only issue I had with the accommodation was that the walls (or the ceiling actually) allowed noise to filter quite loudly down to our room.

So homely and clean

Will be going back here again for sure . This place was so much like a home and my kids loved it . Clean and comfy , beds were so comfortable . Great communication and help from staff and very affordable this place is amazing and so close to the beach .

Plenty of room for a family of four close to beaches and restaurants we will stay here again.

Under renovation

Our two bedroom ground floor apartment was spacious and well equipped but very tired. We were disappointed, especially when informed by the manager, that we could have had one of the newly renovated apartments had we booked direct with Bay Breeze instead of online. Not happy Wotif. No undercover car parking also saw our car damaged in a hail storm.

Spacious townhouse.

Townhouse was nice. No milk given on checking in, tea, coffee and sugar in rooms though. Leather lounge quite worn out and looked tacky. Swimming pool and spa were nice. No restaurant or cafe on premises. Close distance to beach.

Excellent location. Close to all facilities

The bed was old and deodorized but smelled the last two nights of a five night stay as the deodorizer wore off. Even though the units were non smoking we could not experience the sea breeze because too many were smoking just outside their units. The staff were friendly and helpful but the units need a better clean. Even so we hope to be back there next year.

Nice hotel close to everything

We liked the townhouse type accommodation. Plenty of room and very comfy king size bed. Conveniently close to the beach and Marina with all restaurants and coffee shops, you can just walk there.

Roomy townhouse style apartment

The accommodation had lots of space but needed upgrading. Had trouble with the shower. thus potential for someone being burned as it was very difficult to adjust temperature. Mentioned this on leaving and lady in reception said she would get the plumber in.Bathroom door did not close fully and lady said they would attend to it. A good clean of furnishings and floors and a coat of paint would raise the overall rating to 5.

Value for money.

Very quiet, clean and comfortable. If I had a complaint it is that we couldnt get a second key (there were 4 of us staying in the apartment). I would stay here again. Value for money.

Found Hotel to very central to walking to beach, cafes,restrautrants. Very quite and rooms were well equipped and spacious.

Loved having a whole apartment

The apartment was roomy which gave us plenty of space to watch TV or read quietly on the sunny balcony or upstairs . The kitchen was a good size for a holiday apartment and it was quiet and private. Nice walks nearby and only a short drive to shops and restaurants.

Weekend sea breeze getaway

Nice weekend getaway, friendly service, two bedroom townhouse - clean and spacious, our room included washing machine and dryer, close to Nelson Bay marina, town centre shopping and beaches. Would definitely visit again.

A very comfortable and well equipped apartment. It was close to Nelson Bay shops and marina and within walking distance to eateries.

Nice and clean and very comfortable.

I came and stayed here for my birthday with my partner and i had a very enjoyable time. The room was very comfortable and clean and i loved the spa!!!!!! And on our check in the lovely man gave me a complimentary bottle of chardonnay for my birthday.

Cheap and affordable.

If your looking for 5 star comfort and the 1% factor look elsewhere. If you want a quiet pad to sleep and shower you will love it.

Nice place to stay, close to beaches

Staff were fantastic. Our booking hadn't come through due to an internet glitch but the Manager got it all sorted and we ended up with an upgrade to a bigger townhouse. The night manager was also great. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable. We had a lovely stay, rate was reasonable and we will definitely be back again.

Too expensive for what they offer

LIght in one bathroom burnt out, light in living room burnt out. Toilet in one bathroom - had to sit sideways because the Jacuzzi tub seems to be an after fit and you could not sit straight on the toilet as there was no room for your legs. Ensuite walls full of black mould - several cockroaches in the entire apartment. Remote control for TV in master bedroom batteries dead. Advertised as a fully equip 2 bedroom apartment - no toaster just a kettle!!!

Loved it!

It was awesome! 3 cheers to the cafe and their chef. Awesome, relaxed stay and wonderful amenties. A walk away from the beach, RSL, to other tourist spots. Fantastic.

The hotel was lovely. Clean, great kitchen and lounge room. Comfortable bedrooms and the spa was great. Staff v helpful. Great value n location

Showing it's age

Nice hotel, close to amenities, clean and comfortable, but showing it's age. Not so sure if it's worth the price but for cleanliness and locality, it's okay

Convenient location.

Spacious rooms and looked clean however massive infestation of cockroaches in the cutlery drawer! Bed not very comfortable. Noise from adjoining room. Pool area could do with some plant life - too much concrete to be relaxing.

FAMILY GETAWAY

The rooms were nice and had ample space and the loft layout was nice. It also had a washing machine that we used even though we only stayed 2 nights. It is in a good location and only a short stroll to all the restaurants and marina. Has good facilities for young families. Unfortunately there wasn't adequate cooling in the loft area and it was unbearably hot at night our unit also had a faulty air conditioner in the downstairs area. They had a temporary portable unit there but you basically had to sit in front of it to gain any benefit from it. We were travelling with a 7 month old made and it was very hard for her to get any sleep because of the heat. When the fans were on in the loft area they were very loud and it was hard to get any sleep. I didn't mention it to them as I think they were booked out as the car park was full on the 2 nights we stayed there.

Close to the beach but an ordinary experience.

The apartments look very tired and are in dire need of an update. Simple things like there not being enough power points to have the TV, DVD and digital set-top box plugged in at the same time. You would have to keep unplugging one to plug the other in. Also, one remote control didn't work. I was also wondering the last time that the rug in the living area had been vacuumed. I could go on and I don't mean to be picky but at $250 a night in a hotel this old, that has paid itself over a couple of times, you expect simple things to be sorted.

Pleasant surprise

We are quite happy with our stay in a one level apartment. For 3.5 * we couldn't ask for more. Would like to mention a good size of a living room, big clean spa bath and swimming pool with right water temperature - good for toddlers. Close to the beach and the park. Also there is a cafe on site with a decent breakfast. Late check-out was very handy too.

Easy walk to beach and town

Floors were quite dirty and main bedroom bed very hard. Not so child friendly stairs were not safe for small children
