Not impressed.

To begin with, beware. This is not a three star hotel as advertised. The sign on the front of the hotel clearly indicates a two star establishment. On arrival we were told by reception that they had no record of our booking. The booking had in fact been made two months in advance of our trip and the hotel had sent several confirmation emails right up to the eve of our stay. It took until the following day to disentangle this particular problem. Not what you need when you are exhausted from travelling. Never mind, how about a relaxing late evening watching TV? Sorry. The TV in our room carried no recognisable entertainment channels, Spanish public broadcasts or otherwise, only a selection of shopping channels, adverts for clairvoyants and similar delights. For British readers, this is like having a TV without BBC, ITV or Channel 4. I am not even sure how this is possible. We changed rooms after one night. The next room was graced with a state of the art monster of a tv. Still no channels however. We ended up using our own Netflix subscription. There were no coffee making facilities in the room. There was no wardrobe for our clothes. There was no table. Three star hotel facilities ? I don’t think so. Every time we left the hotel we were required, and I do mean required, to surrender our room key as if we were staying at a nineteen eighties Clacton boarding house. In 2024 this is not acceptable. We enjoyed our holiday in spite of this hotel, certainly not because of it.

Neighborhood

Mediocre property. They changed the wifi 3-4 times while I was there (I had to ask each time - no one informed me when it suddenly stopped working multiple times). Some of the staff was not particularly courteous. Housekeeping came in one day despite a "do not disturb" sign and acted surprised to see me inside.

Very convenient and simple place to stay in Madrid

It was a really good situated little hotel right by the Gran Via. It is walking distance for quite a few touristic places that surrounds the Gran Via such as Puerta del Sol, San Miguel market, The Royal Palace and so much more! The staff were all very helpful and nice. The room was very clean and had a nice air conditioner. The bathroom was very clean and modern as well. If you're just looking for a nice reliable place to stay for two people and you just need a quiet, calm and simple place to sleep then come to this hotel!

Walking distance from all the main attractions

Definitely I will come back and I would recommend it.

Staff very nice helpful and location great off Gran Via

I liked the location. However, I do not think the price for this hotel reflects the conditions in which it is nor the quality of the rooms they offer.

Staff were very helpful and gave good suggestions. Less than half a block from Gran Via a major street. A bit of a walk to art galleries but bus 001 takes you there for free. Walk out of the hotel and a taxi is more or less there for you. Hit and miss restaurant across the street. Major shopping a block away in either direction. Elevator but a few stairs to get to it. Coffee machine in the lobby.

No water in the room. No ice. Shower was broken. Tiny room. Old and scary elevator. Location was the only positive point for this hotel.

Fantastic location! Safe, clean. Great staff, friendly, kind, and very responsive! I loved this place and will turn into my first option when returning to Madrid downtown.

The hotel is clean and strategically located, but there are a few steps to get to the elevator. There is no ramp, making it difficult for suitcases. It is not ADA compliant. Also, even with three sets of curtains, there was a lot of light coming into the room at night.

The A/C didn’t work. We asked both nights at the front desk for someone to fix it and they said they would but never did. But the location was excellent and the room was comfortable.

Great location, close to everything

Right in the center of Madrid, when it is necesary for business meetings and can reach any site of the city fast in metro. Rooms are confortables and very clean.

Everything was good, the location. Of the hotel is pretty good, just to mention that in the room we stayed you could hear that upper floor/room, and lack of hot water

Walk Score 10/10 you can access just about anywhere in Centro within minutes. Also very close to two different metro stations. There is a free ‘express breakfast’ with a muffin fruit and an espresso you can grab on your way out. However if you’re not a fan of quirky hotels, this would not be the spot for you. It is a bit thrown together. I stayed in two rooms for a total of three nights. The first did not have a safe, and the second had a terribly placed toilet which was impossible to use in a normal position, and the air conditioning didn’t work. I wouldn’t pay more than 75$ a night to stay. It was just not comfortable enough for 3 nights. Would be a good location for a night if you just need a place to crash in Centro

The location is excellent, the staff us friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable. I personally would have liked another pillow, besides that I was happy with everything!

Sentral hotell

The bathroom smelled very bad. The bathroom had no heat and it was freezing in there. The sink was full of silicone glue everywhere. I could not connect to the internet (wifi) after several attempts.

Localização perfeita muito próximo da Gran Via e da Porta do Sol. Hotel confortável, prédio antigo, mas com elevador e um banheiro bom.

Me gusta mucho la ubicación porque está a unos pasos de la Gran Vía , donde se encuentran muchas tiendas de ropa

Con 2 meses de anticipación hicimos reserva de 1 habitación con 2 camas. Cuando llegamos al check in nos dijeron que no habia habitación con 2 camas y que teniamos que acomodarnos en 1 cama !!. Despues de mucho discutir y exigir que respondieran con la reserva , nos dieron una pieza con 2 camas, no sin antes hacernos esperar 3 horas para la limpieza de la habitacion y amenazarnos con cobrarnos la reserva completa si decidiamos irnos (la reseva estaba pagada por anticipado). Despues de que nos entregaron la habitacion, incluimos el desayuno. Nos dijeron que el valor era Eur 5 (2 pancitos minusculos tipo 1 bocado, 2 galletas diminutas, 2 pastelitos tipo bocado, 1 jugo envasado, 1 fruta, y 1 cafe en vaso papel (siempre frio) que habia que ir a prepararse a la recepcion y subir a la habitacion con la minuscula bandeja con el "desayuno". Cuando hicimos el check out nos cobraron Eur 7.5 por el desayuno y nos dijeron que agradecieramos el precio porque a otros pasajeros le cobraban Eur 15 !!! A nuestra salida dejamos las maletas en recepcion y cuando volvimos a buscarlas, solicitamos baño. Nos responden que el Hotel únicamente tiene baños en las habitaciones y que fueramos a la hamburgueseria del lado a pedir baño. Somos 2 amigas, mujeres adultas y serias. Recibimos un MUY mal trato por parte del personal de recepción del hotel, especialmente una mujer joven que actua como recepcionista en las tardes. PÉSIMO TRATO. SI algo rescato del hotel es su EXCELENTE UBICACION.

Pas de parking de l’hôtel

J’ai parti pour deux jours à Madrid , le problème c’est qu’il y a pas de parking mais ils ont mentionné que il y avait un parking et j’ai galéré. J’ai payé pour les deux jours j’ai payé 60 € pour le parking t’imagines

Lo mejor del Hotel es la excelente hubicacion.

En general bien, lo que esta muy bien es la ubicacion; la habitacion no muy buena no tenia caja fuerte, la cama un pocoi incomoda, el desayuno faltaban complementos, muy contado los alimentos, me parecio ver que no les importaba quedar bien con los huespedes en fin....

El hotel se encuentra a unos pasos de la Gran vía, y de la Puerta del Sol. Ofrecen desayuno que en España no acostumbran. Así que me parece una relación precio y comodidad excelente.

Boa localização, consegue fazer tudo a pé…então se vc quer ficar próximo as lojas e ao centro está otimo

Viaje familiar

El elevador muy pequeño, el desayuno es en una cocina cercana la cual tienen un pésimo servicio. Las vistas de las ventanas eran a un espacio sucio y una pared trasera, el ruido de un cuarto se escuchaba a través de la pared. Utilizan llave la cual hay que dejar cada que uno sale. No dejan botellas de agua de cortesía, ni vasos. La luz de la habitación muy poca.

Equipe da recepção foi educada e a opção de café da manha excelente! O quarto estava limpo e confortável para duas pessoas e oferecem café grátis na recepção. Contudo, o hotel está precisando de manutenção. Havia um pouco de dano de infiltração nos quartos. Ficamos só por uma noite, em casal, apenas com mochilas e foi um excelente custo benefício. A localização é ótima e do lado tem um café bom e o corte inglês, que tem um rooftop bem legal de graça!

Hotel muito bem localizado a meio quarteirão da gran via.pode-se conhecer vários pontos turísticos a pé. O funcionário Enrique sempre muito gentil e atencioso.

Un excelente lugar cerca de Gran Vía, muy limpio, personal amable y servicial y puedes llegar caminando a varios puntos importantes de Madrid, tiendas, linea de metro, bus turísticos , etc.

Fue agradable y dentro de lo que en general bien: El personal muy gentil, social y agradable.

En general era bueno . El personal muy atento y ademas sirven cafe expreso de muy buena calidad en cualquier horario en la recepción. gatis. Lo más dificil fue llegar con el coche que alquilamos hasta el lugar porque es un area restringida. Asi que si van les recomiendo dejarlo antes en un parking cercano

El hostal esta a 20 metros de la gran Via a la altura de Zara y de Primark, y a la vuelta del corte ingles. Nos resulto excelente para salir de compras y volver al hotel para dejar las cosas, para pasear y comer por los alrededores. La zona es increiblemente centrica tenes mil opciones para comer o comprar en pocas cuadras. De lo contrario estas a metros del subte que te lleva a cualquier parte. El personal fue muy atento, recibieron unos paquetes que enviamos unos dias antes de llegar. Siempre bien predispuestos. El hostal no tiene desayuno, casi ningun hotel de ese precio en el centro de Madrid lo incluye, pero tiene una maquina de cafe y te en la recepcion, lo cual esta bueno. Como malo diria la limpieza que esta al limite. En la habitacion habia unas estanterias hasta el techo en al zona del tv y los estantes q estaban por encima del metro 60 estaban sucios con polvo acumulado por mucho tiempo. Apoyamos ropa y quedo muy sucia. Diria que deben ajustar un poco ese tema, lo demas muy bien
