Excellent staff & hotel with great service and clean room. Very convenient location for shopping.
Excellent place to stay when in Jaipur. Conveniently located with great facilities
Loved the property but its not accessible for disabilities necessarily. Also if the food quality improves it will be amazing. I do look forward to staying there again. Hopefully the in house dining will have improved by then. The property also has some very popular restaurants that you can enjoy. so your evening is sorted.
Overall the hotel is in an old haveli style with beautiful paintings on the walls and ceilings. Great for taking photos! Reasonable customer service. We agree with other recent reviews that if you scratch beneath the surface however are issues with maintenance of the property. We recognise the age of the property and some of these less favourable aspects of our stay can be attributed to the building being older and in a haveli style. However, other aspects were just due to poor maintenance and limited customer service. Overall - staying here is worth £80/night maximum but no more than this. We paid £160, which did not represent value for money considering the overall experience, the maintenance of the property and the alternatives available at this price point. Here are some further points in more detail: 1. Issues with electrical maintenance’s plug sockets not working despite their attempt to fix during stay. 2. Dirty floors in bedrooms 3. Old bathroom suites need replacing 4. Nice aesthetics but needing repainting in areas 5. Towels thin and greying 6. Breakfast nice and great service but quality of ingredient more in keeping with £100/night and not £160/night quality. General poor maintenance - which is essential for a property of age.
This is a gem of a sanctuary in the heart of Jaipur- highly recommend this place to anyone. Quiet, respectful, helpful staff, but not overbearing. Pool and grounds are absolutely beautiful with peacocks walking about. Room was spacious with ample outdoor space which was especially relaxing in December- weather was perfect. The cafe near the entrance is amazing- can get a coffee, tea, beer, or anything you want while reading in comfortable setting or outside. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, and ample restaurants on the compound as well. Taxis can come directly into the fountain area, so you don't have to wander into the city if you don't want in order to get a ride. Highly recommend!
The hotel is indeed a palace, dripping with Old India soul with lots of gardens and greenery to make it an Oasis. Good food in the hotel restaurants but avoid the Italian restaurant Paladio also on hotel grounds but outside- owned with dismal food and pretentious unwelcoming attitude. Overall for the Narain Palace two thumbs up: sweet attentive staff and well maintained digs. I stayed in a garden romm #48 and it was grandly opulent and comfy. Best choice in Jaipur inc,. esp compared to the overpriced Rambaugh Palace
We appreciated the ambiance, friendly staff, buffet breakfast, and restaurant with live entertainment. We found wifi slow, room temp control and comfort, hot water to be just ok, and consistent with age of property. We’d come again though!
A beautiful historic property. No life and the room leaked after the rain. But I still would have stayed. It was lovely my and the staff were wonderful.
Great property to stay. My daughter loved the swing. Pleasant stay. Great stay. Highly recommended
Tranquil destination in Jaipur
Superb setting and great sense of tranquility from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur. Staff went out or their way to make our stay memorable.
run down overpriced terrible breakfast and nescafe instead of coffee
