Loved it. Beautiful quiet and quaint

Beds very hard, drainage smell around pool

This resort is located on a lovely beach. The food was excellent. The yoga classes were also great. The fitness room is terrible and needs a renovation. There are many stairs on the property, so good mobility is important.

Our family highly enjoyed ourselves at this gorgeous, clean, hospitality-focused, resort. You can tell they have a lot of pride in the resort and they aim to please their guests. The outdoor pool is enormous and beautiful, and the beach front is picturesque.

We chose this property to beat the crowds and enjoy small and cozy feel of villa style living. We We booked two rooms for our family and then we upgraded by paying a bit extra to a Andaman pool villa. I have stayed in big resorts but this gives you a small cozy and yet personal feel. The room interiors are great and bathrooms have wooden furniture that makes you feel so close to the nature and Thai culture. It is very opposite to the big hotels but I was looking for this experience. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The daily breakfast was more than ordinary. Every day they had different Thai varieties and other international cuisine of foods. Some family said that the staff packed breakfast for them As they had excursions. I got sick and they sent meds right away. We had our flight at 6 pm and they provided us day use room after check out so we could take shower and my kid could rest. The hotel is away from crazy crowds and is a small and yet veery personal and comforting to be. I’d love to come back again.

Truely a luxurious experience. Every detail was taken care of from the basket of fruit at arrival to umbrellas and beach bags for use in the room. Spacious bathroom with a luxury tub . A personal porch for lounging amongst the tropical vegetation. The pool area was wonderful and the dining room was next to the beach. We had a private beach that was perfect for enjoying sunsets. Pictures do not do it justice. Only drawback it that there are lots of stairs.

Perfect and beautiful place to stay with excellent staff!

Nakamanda is an established resort, probably around 20 years old but well maintained and consisting of separate houses, with upstairs and downstairs rooms (42 in total). This gives each room a lot of privacy and I definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet in this resort. It has a pool and direct access to the beach opposite a small island which can be access at low tide. The staff are particularly helpful, polite and friendly, with highly personal service due to the small size and it feels like a family run business, more so than the neighbours: Beyond Resort, Varana and Dilusit Thani (a bit further). It has a spa, with reasonable prices compared to the neighbouring hotels, but best value is always in massage parlours around the hotels. The Naga restaurant was excellent for dinner on the beach. I would stay again!

I would like to thank the staff for their exceptional service. My son fell sick during our stay and the staff quickly helped to arrange a doctor very early in the morning. They are extremely professional and diligent especially when it came to arranging activities as well. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Absolute paradise. Amazing hotel in an amazing quite fairly deserted beach. This part of Krabi is just bliss - very quiet with a few very good restaurants but what more do you need? The hotel is totally beautiful, room is wonderful and staff are amazing. What more can I say - I extended my stay for the longest that I could before I had to get a flight to Kathmandu. If not - I am not sure I would ever have left.

Paradise!

Everything about Nakamanda is amazing. The location makes it a little piece of paradise - it’s so calm and relaxing and the views are just stunning. The staff are all so nice and kind. There are so many little thoughtful gestures, like the constant supply of free ice-cold water at the pool and meals, and the use of a day room if you have an afternoon or evening flight. It’s by far the nicest hotel in the area (which is a very nice area!) We would love to come back.

This is a nice resort really far from the maddening crowd and is a great place for people who likes a private beach and a need to chill. Service by staff is good but the main issue for me is the uncomfortable hard mattress and poor pillows... I had to buy a pillow in order to sleep well

5 star marvellous resort

This resort is pretty amazing , 5 star resort by a semi private beach . The tide makes a very interesting point of view throughout the day and at night it’s right at the hotel restaurant area . The pool is huge and very clean . We had breakfast which changed everyday and dinner which was very good and reasonably priced . The only suggestion I would make is to get someone to clean up at low tide the garbage around the hotel and the staff although very helpful were distracted as many would be looking at their phones . We had to wave to get their attention and the resort had few clients, missing the special attention expected at this type of hotel . We had a great massage at the spa . All in all I highly recommend this beautiful establishment for a romantic getaway or peaceful stay .

Common areas were all facing the beach, staff were attentive and food was great quality as was the spa treatments.

Fantastic property , Very nicely appointed rooms, quite and relaxing, great access to semi private beach, beautiful and clean pool , Perfect place for couples not a lot to do for Kids. Be warned the resort is built on terraces and requires a lot of climbing or descending steps and stairs , not for those with difficulty walking or negotiating steps and stairs. We Loved the place must go back again.

The great restaurant sits right on the little bay with the small island across the way and the islands out in the distance was great. Sometimes fisherman passing through to test their luck. When the tide is out, the small island can be walked too. The atmosphere created by all the separated rooms on the sloping hill side was great. The room was quality and had all the features for comfort. Food was fantastic. Above all was the fantastic staff helping out all around.

Amazing!

Exceptionally Clean and the service was amazing. The staff could not do enough for you without being over the top. Beautiful place, the beach, the sea, the room was all very tranquil. We will definitely be returning when we are back in Thailand. Love love love this little gem

The property is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The beachfront property sometimes sits right on the water as twice a day (10am-3pm) and evening/night high tide brings water to the steps of the hotel which is a stunning sight, allowing for even closer swimming and kayaking around island that forms in front. Most impressive is how attentive the staff are, keeping tabs on when we leave, what trips we did (we booked our own but they can help), when we leave. If arriving early or leaving late, they give personal guest rooms for with a lock to rest and leave things in which was certainly a helpful perk.

Beautiful beachfront hotel, super nice staff

We stayed for nine nights in Nakamanda and loved it. On the beach, great pool, super helpful friendly staff. Decent breakfast, lots of restaurants close by. 39 villa style rooms in beautifully maintained grounds. Highly recommend

Excellent accommodation and service. Nice room and pool. On the beach with free use of kayaks. Many steps in the resort so challenge for non mobile. Lovely, friendly staff. Would return.

Great place to relax

Really great room. Really great bed. Very very lovely hotel. Good breakfast -the Asian selections were not that tasty but the western offerings were great. Great location for peaceful relaxation. No night life around there which is a plus for me! Great big pool. All of it was great. The service options are too expensive which is true at all resorts. But you can negotiate your own services yourself. Overall, great place. Will stay again.

5star hotel at idyllic location on quiet beach,consisting of about 20 bungalows built in hill landscape with each one having seaview,restaurant placed a few steps from beach,big pool with deckchairs,professional spa facilities- all conditions are fulfilled to spend a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful hotel in an idyllic setting

Beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting - everything about this place was perfect. A little distant from Krabi town but there is plenty to do and a number of good restaurants within very easy walking distance. Good breakfast and great service.

Beautiful hotel, stunning views, many restaurants by the beach you could just walk to. The room size was big with his and her sections and a huge bath tub. Was also provided with a beach bag. Staff were very helpful and always smiling. Only downfall was their brochure said there would be a shuttle provided for the Aonang beach and Krabi Town but they stopped that service.

Very nice big pool, peaceful by the ocean and great staff, who were always very attentive. Breakfast was good, and generally I would say this was good value for what we paid for it. Plenty of nice options for lunch / dinner (great value) along the beach by the hotel. There is a lot of steps going down to the pools and dining from the rooms, so if you're elderly or not comfortable with that, this wouldn't be a suitable place for you. The gym is very basic and has equipment, but quite crammed together. Some areas of the hotel feel a little worn/ tired and could do with a slight spruce and refurb in places. We stopped over at the Sofitel and Ritz Carlton up the road for dinner, and those are what you would expect for a 5* rated hotel. I would say by other hotels I've stayed in the region, this is more of a 4*

Good for couples-not so much for families

The resort itself if very nice. We have a 5 yr old son and although the pool and beach kept him entertained, I wouldn't necessarily say this is a resort for families. This is more for couples. It was very quiet (good for parents) but our child was bored. And it's a bit disappointing to spend so much money for your child to be bored.

Amazing room, Huge swimming pool. Beautiful location. Beach from photographs doesn't do it justice! Row of cheap beach restaurants on the doorstep. Staff very warm and friendly. Meals in the hotel restaurant were a little on the expensive side for what you got, however that's a minor mark on an otherwise spectacular stay. I would say also that there are a lot of stairs if you get a room towards the top of the hotel. Nevertheless the exercise probably did us both good!

Poor Quality

Hotel is tired, worn and in need of a refurbishment. Breakfast poor quality and limited. This place should never have small luxury hotel of the world status. No where near the quality or standard described. Very disappointed given we are staying here for a special occasion

The resort was beautiful but the staff was exceptional. We loved our stay at the Nakamanda and enjoyed their grill night and happy hour at the pool! The location was a peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed the restaurants and stores nearby.

Beautiful rooms, lovely location on the beach beside a small island, fantastic service - cannot praise the staff highly enough. Good selection of local bars and restaurants nearby although hotel restaurant and bar excellent and reasonably priced. Overall one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in.

Highest of recommendations!

This is an amazing place for those looking to get away from it all. Located in a quiet part of Krabi that nonetheless has numerous restaurants and beaches nearby, it is a perfect place to decompress. The design of the resort—with large villas, each surrounded by plenty of greenery—made us feel like we had the place to ourselves. Service was perfect—warm, friendly, and professional, yet unobtrusive as is befitting of a luxury resort. Although some of the spaces are in need of renovation, the classic and spacious design of our accommodations made this our favorite hotel of our honeymoon. We cannot wait to return!

Good stay.

This resort is ideal for couples who love privacy during vacation. The villa is quite big with his & hers sink, large bath tub, separate bath & toilet. My complain here is the toilet doesn't have a door. If you have mobility issues, this might not a place for you since the resort has a lot of stairs and going from room to restaurant or spa or front of hotel entails a lot of walking and climbing of stairs. They have a very good spa for massages and the restaurant serves very good food as well. Breakfast is typically same everyday but with 2-3 new items changed every day. The pool which is facing the beach is quite nice too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here except on the day prior to our departure, we lost an item inside the room - it wasn't really valuable but somehow it affected our perception of safety in the resort.

Amazing place. Perfect for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Accommodating and sincere staff who truly make you feel at home.

We arrived early in the morning. The hotel checked us into their 'Day use' room while our villa was being prepared. This was a nice touch as we could freshen up and rest. The staff were all very helpful and attentive to our needs. There are free shuttles on Sat and Sun night to Krabi night market which we took on Sat. Unfortunately the driver that picked us up from Krabi back to the hotel put us in danger by his reckless driving. It was unpleasant and very dangerous. I do hope he gets reprimanded for this as no guests should feel in danger of their lives. Overall this resort is a bit of paradise!

A true 5 star hotel. Location is fabulous right on a beautiful quite beach with the villas set back in in lush gardens seperated by elevated walkways. Truely amazing, only caution is for less mobile peoole as there were a quite a lot of steps from the lobby to the beach with the rooms between.

Fantastic resort, truly lovely staff

Previous positive reviews of this resort lived up to expectations when we arrived. Room 802 had a fantastic view and offered a really peaceful stay. One of the most memorable things about our stay was the warmth, helpfulness and attentiveness of staff. The resort offers four complimentary trips a week, two to Ao Nang and two to Krabi town. Great drivers, very courteous and safe. There are plenty of good restaurants in local area and on the beach front. Overall conditions of the resort was great, though we noticed that some rooms/ areas were undergoing refurbishment.

A quiet and unexploited little paradise

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The staffs are very helpful and friendly through and through. We stayed at the sala villa. The room is spacious and clean, two sets of wash basins and closets. And very comfortable bed. The resort is located on the beach, you can easily access the beach at any time. My husband and I took a 5min walk from the beach to a nearby beach restaurant around the corner to dine in sun set. The scenery was romantic and peaceful. The resort has canoes that you can borrow for free. Right at the beach there are private long tail boats you can hire to the islands. So convenient and hassle free. This is the perfect place for couples or a group of friends who enjoy a chill and relax beach life. We very much enjoyed ourselves.

The hotel is located a bit outside of Krabi, to join some tours, need to pay a bit extra transfer fee, however the surroundings are quite nice and quite, also hotel hs free shuttle to downtown(Ao Nang) on Sat & Sun. The hotel staffs are very kind and nice.

Superb!

This is our second visit to Nakamanda. We had an amazing stay! As usual, we got our welcome drinks and checked in smoothly upon arrival. Staffs here was very helpful and friendly!! Thanks to all the staffs in Nakamanda for their great services. We were so thoughtful of the boy who send the birthday cupcakes to our room, thank you so much! Nakamanda was the best hotel so far, never fails to amaze us, never fail to impress us! We would love to return here again! Strongly recommend to those who want to visit Krabi!

Private villa with excellent service

Top service provided over my 4 days 3 nights stay at the resort. For the transport to and from the airport, they arranged affordable and hassle free transport. They also have a range of day activities they can arrange for you with their partners. My partner and I chose to do the Krabi 4 island trip. The half day trip was was provided by a safe and trustable vendor. Only disappointment was the poor weather that was beyond our control. There was also a complimentary shuttle on weekends to Krabi Town for guest. The layout of the hotel room was great. Service was excellent. Breakfast was average but the good service from the waiting staff made up for it. Perhaps one inprovement the management can consider is to consider upgrade some of the furnitures because they appear quite worn out. Overall, I am very satisfied with the stay and I would highly recommend it to my family and friends. Thank you Nakamanda!

Worth the stay

This is a great hotel with lovely rooms and bathroom area. Each room has own patio. Lots of steps in hotel so you need to be physically able to stay here. Pool area right on beach and well maintained. Pool will need work at some stage with lots of missing tiles. Great breakfast variety. Quiet. Good variety of restaurants nearby

Good location and nice staff but.

Really nice hotel, well set out and friendly staff, but not 5 star. The room we had had a good view and was air conditioned. however the cleaner never cleaned the bathroom in the full 5 days we were there. They replaced the towels and items we used but didn't take away any of the used items so by the end of our 5 days there were a big collection of toothbrushes conditioner bottles extra. The breakfast room was disgusting only the hot food was covered up. You would think for a so called 5 star hotel they would know better. My wife poured herself some muesli only to see lots of small ants crawling around in her bowl, fruit fruit was available and the jams were in bowls where you had to spoon out how ever much you wanted. None of this was covered over and there were flies and ants all over the uncovered foods. The breakfast staff, although friendly, asked for our room number every morning; in other 5 star hotels we have stopped in, by the 2nd or 3rd day we were greeted by our name and the staff didn't need to ask for the number as they knew it. Beautiful, peaceful location but it does need a revamp. Many tiles chipped in the pool, tiles missing off the accommodation rooves and some dirty towels at the poolside.

Beautiful small hotel in perfect location

Amazing hotel in a great part of Krabi with a beautiful beachfront. We could not fault this hotel at all ... amazing staff so friendly and helpful, good quality food and cocktails, beautiful pool, immaturely clean and comfortable rooms, great location!!! Really five stars all round!!!

Incredible rooms.

Amazing rooms, great staff. The water levels were down, so the beach wasn't as impressive as I had hoped, but overall still a great hotel.

Cosy secluded resort by the beach.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean, with a shower area, bathtub and a toilet. All 3 have no doors as it was open concept. The sleeping area was partitioned from the bath/toilet, which was nice. Only 1 restaurant by the beach with no indoor seating. As the resort is on a small hill, there are stairs everywhere so be prepared for a bit of climbing. Overall no complains about this resort.

Somewhat disappointed. Too much climbing up and down. A bit gloomy. Rooms are nice but needs better maintenance

Great Hotel, Great Staff, Best Experience

The hotel was awesome! Great facilities, great breakfast, great location, absolutely beautiful and lush resort. There were amenities nearby, great restaurants nearby, and lots to do in the ocean steps from the resort. The hotel also helped me schedule tours, schedule transportation, and there were lots of boats for rent nearby which made my trip so exciting and fun. I definitely recommend this hotel and will be back!!! 5 STARS FOR SURE!!!

Nice small luxury hotel with the best service!

The staff were all so nice and friendly which was really delightful. When we arrived, the room was not ready yet and a front desk staff Su gave us a little tour around the resort, it was really nice :) There’s free shuttle bus service to Krabi Town and Ao Nang Beach provided, which helps make up for it being a little far away from the hustle and bustle. That being said, it is definitely a good choice for travelers looking for a nice and quiet trip with all the amenities at your fingertips. Do check out the hidden bars along the beach and the restaurants across the road. The rooms were really clean but the beds are a little hard. Would definitely come back again :) Thank you Nakamanda for the great stay!

Loved our stay at Nakamanda Resort. Service & staff brilliant. Only negative was TV using digital set box,very confusing. TV needs to beupgraded to digital

A lovely hotel with a great location

We stayed in a deluxe room and it was lovely, with a great bathroom area and a huge balcony. Pool was great and service was really warm and friendly. We didn’t try the restaurant apart from breakfast (which was fine, but not brilliant) but it looked pretty quiet in the evening. Not because of the food necessarily, but if you walk out to the beach and turn right, there are loads of beach restaurants and places to chill and have a beer. Although, be prepared to be patient as if they are busy the kitchen usually will struggle to cope and food can often take an hour. The only note of caution I would give people about the hotel is the stairs. The hotel is built on a hill to allow everyone to have great views, but it does mean a lot of climbing. Mainly fine, but some areas are very small pyramid style stairs with no handhold. Not for the faint hearted. Great value for what you get and a fab stay.

Perfection in Krabi

This hotel and resort was truly breathtaking. From the moment they picked us up from the airport with cold towels and bottles of water to the moment we checked out, we were impressed. The amenities were clean, beautiful and so perfect against the incredible natural backdrop of Krabi. We were thankful for the poolside staff who darted over to shift our beach umbrella every 45 minutes, making sure we didn’t get sunburnt! The included breakfast was always interesting and we cannot day enough good things about the coconut sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf! If they have this out for breakfast, grab 6!! We are still having dreams about these. The rooms are lovely and so large. The bathrooms so immense that it felt silly to even leave! Everything was well stocked and the bottled water everywhere was wonderful. I participated in the Tuesday morning yoga class and it ended up being a private session, just me and the teacher. Seriously, take advantage of this! It was so fun! We visited the spa as well which was delightful. The ‘Relaxing Package’ was an aromatherapy oil massage that had us snoozing. It was so refreshing and you even get to choose your own oil! We wanted for nothing at this resort.

Wonderful staff

The hotel staff were very very helpful and try to help us when we have some problem in emergency case they tried to help us a lot we do really appreciated their kindness and will never forget about them without their help we wouldn’t know what to do also the hotel facilities and the atmosphere are very nice decoration that make us feel so relaxing we will definitely recommend this hotel thank you so much kob khun mak mak ka

Great Staff

The resort is located away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang but close enough for short taxi ride. The staff were fantastic and very helpful in making arrangements. Room was very specious and clean.

Paradise

Nakamanda resort is a gem of a place at a great location. Everything from check in till check out was top notch, be it cleanliness, maintenence of the resort, food, quality of service and the free kayaks for guests to use in the sea. Highly recommended!!!

Relaxing Spot on the Beach

The hotel well located with nice view on the beach and amazing landscaping. I felt renovations of rooms is really needed at this time to upgrade the finishing and accommodate a five star title. Although, the rooms are nice and spacey with good light access, but still they can be much better. Adding to that the Gym should be renovated.

Awesome Small Little Luxury Hotel

We booked airport transfer and hotel car transfer a month ago yet the hotel reception keep this in mind and reminded us beforehand. We are welcomed with cold towels and water when the hotel picked us up from the airport. Got a welcome drink and a goodbye drink from the hotel as well. As this resort is built on top of a hill, bellboy helped to carry our baggage to and back from our room. Hotel's restaurant is facing the private beach - awesome view. There's a deck to sit right outside our room for us to enjoy the lovely weather or just to read a book while listening to birds chirping. It has a natural light bath tub which can fit two people and they provided bath sea salt as well (very thoughtful). Thai Massage is great btw, kind of authentic. The only downside is the hard bed, but it is still not very bad as I still managed to sleep soundly due to the serenity of the environment. Breakfast buffet is decent, but there is room for improvement for normal main dishes such as TomYam. Still fine though, as there are some small decent stalls which serves great food right in front of the hotel. Really recommend this hotel to whoever wishes to relax and rejuvenated. You can simply bring a backpack and stay here as hotel provided everything you need. Note that this is definitely not a great hotel for someone who want to go for pub crawling (That will be in Ao nang) but for relaxation purposes, I will definitely come back here.

Everything was perfect with the exception of the incredibly hard beds. Great poolside service & lovely setting.

Very cosy and well maintain hotel.

The staffs are very friendly and attentive. They will try their best to meet your requests. This resort is very well maintain though it’s 17 years old. There are lots of nice restaurants and massage shops opposite the resort.

My experience was wonderful and i love the each part of this stay. The staff is very supportive and they help in all aspects like outdoor activities, city trips and providing transport etc with reasonable price. The room is very spacious , hygienic and build on a very different concept. I like the veranda portion which is a good option for family stay too. This property is having a nice view private beach along with the famous Long-tail boats option. In short, it was just a "wow" in total!!! The only thing which you can think upon is the location of this property which you can take as an advantage too that this property is quite away from city and is a peaceful choice for which you are looking on a holiday!!!

amazing location and friendly staff

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were not disappointed. The location is amazing right on the beech and watching sunrises and sunsets are a must. The hotel is quite far from other main attractions and sites which was what we wanted but if you want hustle and bustle this isn’t the place for you. The staff are very friendly and helpful. At times the language barrier was a bit challenging but the management were very accommodating. One evening they set up a romantic table for us that was apart from the rest of the restaurant that surpassed our expectations. The food in the evening and lunch is very good and we found the set menu and the seafood bbq to be excellent. The breakfast is ok but not really 5* quality. As some others have mentioned the hotel looks a bit tired in places including our room, it could do with a bit of a refurb, I am sure it was 5* facilities when first built but over 10 years has passed and I would consider it more 4* in this aspect now. The gym isn’t a proper gym so don’t expect much from this perspective! Overall it was a wonderful stay and the grounds are beautiful, if you want relaxation and a romantic getaway then this place is great. 5* in many aspects but not all.

Fabulous Hotel with Lovely Beach Setting

The villas are lovely and the setting on the beach couldn’t be better. Not a huge amount near the hotel, just some local restaurants and a few shops, but Ao Nang and Krabi aren’t too far away. If you want somewhere to chill out, you’ll be pushed to improve on this hotel. Would definitely return.

Exceptional service!

Exceptional service! We were truly spoiled :) We arrived before check-in and were given a day use room to relax, change and shower. Then once our real room was ready it was gorgeous! I have an allergy to 1 food item and ALL the staff were informed before I arrived at the restaurant, and the staff checked every dish for me. Trips and transportation were organized by staff with ease and the spa was devine. Lastly, when we had a late flight, we were once again given a Day Use room which allowed us to swim in the warm pool next to the ocean, rest and shower right up until we left paradise.

Good hotel with an unbelievable staff

The hotel is nice, with a good location right on the beach. There are also many really good restaurants nearby, and the one on-site is fine. The staff is remarkable. The best customer service we've ever received, anywhere, and they made the stay amazing. Lik, Berm, Jak, Nui, and so many others always greeted us and made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious. There are some minor signs of wear and tear around the hotel, but it's clean and the grounds are well kept. Overall, we were really happy with our stay at Nakamanda.

Unbelievably beautiful location, perfect hotel

The location n cut to a bend in the lovely beach makes this stretch seem private to the hotel. Super quiet. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are incredible in every department. I extended my stay and cannot wait to come back. Really excellent place

Amazing experience!

They went out of their way to make my friends birthday extra special, when we never even told them it was her birthday! They noticed it when they scanned our passports. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful & the resort was absolutely gorgeous!!! Highly recommend!

QUIET SERENE LUXURY ON BEACH

We were treated with courtesy and subtle friendliness by all the very professional staff who work at Nakamanda Resort. We felt that we were part of a family rather than guests. The gardens are a slice of heaven and have many water features on the stepped terraces that lead around the resort, between the Bungalows and to the beach. It is not a suitable property for those guests unable to walk or navigate lots of steps. The Bungalows have outside Porch seating areas, drying racks and tiled floors. Internally large with comfortable bedding and feather pillows; sofas; tv; tea & coffee facility; bath with separate rainshower; 2 sinks. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Nakamanda Spa is AMAZING and we spent a lot of time in there as the treatments were fabulous! The swimming pool is large and long enough to swim lengths. There is a smaller waterfall pool than guests can sit under or for the use of non-swimmers and children. The Restaurant overlooks the pools and the beach and serves great Thai food, curries & a few sandwiches or burgers. Happy Hour cocktails twice each evening..... hic! The sea comes straight to the resort wall at High Tide. There are Canoes for use by guests and Long Tail Boats for Island trips (charged separately). A 7 minute walk along the beach brings guests to casual beach bars with great food. We had such a great time that my husband has already put aside his dates for returning in 2018.

We loved our stay at nakamanda. There are more shops and food options in the area around the hotel than I expected from other reviews. The beach area is limited, but the views are still gorgeous. Facilities and hospitality exceeded our expectations!

Quiet and comfort hotel

I spent the holiday with my family here. It's a lovely and quiet resort with nice rooms and friendly staffs. Hotel is a bit far away from the Krabi city center but resort provided the first night free shuttle van to the night market. Overall considerably good with valuable price too.

Heaven in Krabi!

Amazing property right on the beach! Relaxation 100% guaranteed. But very far from Ao Nang beach and the nightlife of Krabi e.g. markets and shopping, clubs (although overall Krabi doesn't have much of a nightlife!) You can take a motorbike right opposite from the resort. But if you're planning to stay in the hotel premises, then this is the best place for you! Hospitality at best!

Nice weekend runaway

I have been there for long weekend in beginning of June, beach was not good enougth for swimming but very easy to grab a long tail to got for a day trip to some magical beaches and islands. This hotel is fantastic if you are looking for disconnect and relaxing. Please note that like most of the hotel in the region they have lots of steep stairs from rooms to beach. Rooms are very nice with a nice private terrace . We were satisfied with our stay.

Great location on the beach.

The initial welcome from the staff was first class - very genuine. Made us feel like royalty! This wonderful customer service continued for our entire 5 night stay. All the staff are extremely polite and well trained. We spent our days sight seeing and ate out for lunches and dinners so our only meals at the resort were breakfast, and the breakfast buffet was first rate. Being low season, there were only a few people staying at the resort so we often had the pool all to ourselves. The beach is OK at low tide but very little sand at high tide. The long tail boats anchored on the far side of the small cove create a fair bit of noise from time to time, which spoils the ambience of the pool area and restaurant area. The scenery around Krabi and Phang Nga Bay is just spectacular. We highly recommend Nakamanda Resort.

Beautiful hotel in a great location

We had a wonderful experience staying at Nakamanda Resort and Spa. The hotel is not too big, which suits us, you do get to know the staff and they are all so friendly and helpful. The view from the pool area is beautiful, being right on the coast is such a treat. The tide does come and go quite a way from the bay, when the water is in you can kayak around the little island that is there or go for a swim in the clean water. When the tide is out you can walk over to the island and see the different varieties of crabs in amongst the rocks. There is an outdoor pool for having a swim and cooling off too. The food is good at the hotel, there is a choice of Thai or 'western' food, everything we ordered was delicious. There are eateries along the beach, or in both directions along the main road when you leave the hotel and there are other hotels along the same strip that are happy to have you join their restaurant for dinner. Thai massage places are dotted all over, and a 'fancy' spa experience is available at the hotel. We had quite a few massages at the local places, they're not so glamorous but we were delighted with the treatments and the price! We found the location to be perfect for us, its not too big and as we went a little off season it wasn't busy, but there are still places to walk to away from the hotel and it is only a short 20 min taxi ride into Ao Nang if you want to experience something a little more lively. Overall we would highly reccomend!

Excellent hotel near the beach

Superb hotel comprising individual villas. Well set out on different levels leading down to the beach and bar/ restaurant. Food was excellent, so nice to enjoy a meal overlooking the sea. Staff were all friendly and very helpful, creating a great relaxing atmosphere.

Nice hotel in great location

Small hotel in a great location. Good size suite rooms with terrace. Large pool. Restaurant at hotel but also a number of beach bars and restaurants nearby. Never seemed busy even when full. Staff are super and genuine. Particularly suitable for couples.

Fantastic staff and beautiful location

This hotel is situated outside all the craziness of Ao Nang. Setting is beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach and enjoy breakfast with a spectacular view. Doesn't come much better. The hotel staff is wonderful and very helpful. It is a quite resort but still ok with kids. Rooms are nice. Go for the rooms on 2nd level because they have more privacy. We stayed in room 1702 and loved it! We highly recommend this resort!
