Very helpful staff!
Clean, great service and best location!
The location was very central to the Praça do Comércio and easy walking distance to both a Metro and train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful, with good recommendations for restaurants and getting back to the airport. The surprise was just how small the room was. The 'closet' was two small bars of hangers over a low dresser. This worked but made the room feel even smaller once we unpacked. The ability to open the window was much appreciated and the AC worked well. The bathroom had a good amount of storage which. We had breakfast at the hotel each day that was more than basic and they even packed us a to-go box to take with us to the airport!
City centre stay
Good location, clean, nice bar, great breakfast.
Excellent location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Some of our party had water/custard tarts/robes & slippers but not our room…not a big issue but inconsistent. Overall, perfect accommodation for our time in Lisbon.
Room was a bit hot as air conditioning was not working, otherwise a good stay..great location and would stay again.
Perfect location. Small room.
Great location, friendly staff and a very pleasant stay.
Staff were very kind and pleasant. Our rooms were extremely clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the location as it was safe and quiet for our family. The area around the hotel was walkable and conveniently located to several restaurants, tourist attractions, local transit, and shops. We would select this hotel again.
We loved our stay here. The location is easily accessible by train, bus, or tram. Despite being in a tourist area, when you stay here it blocks all the sound from the street, thanks to the windows and blackout doors. The rooms are neat, comfortable, and clean. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. One of the rooms we booked did not have the air conditioning working and the staff were able to move us to another room to accomodate. I would highly recommend staying here.
I was supposed to be staying at hotel oura but was moved to hotel Augusta. It was supposedly an upgrade but very loud. Also bathroom had a broken handle for the rain shower and not great looking, some sort of concrete flooring that was scratched and dirty looking. The carpet also had stains.
Friendly staff and a clean comfortable room added to the perfect location of the Hotel made our stay effortless.
Good location in general but several derelict buildings awaiting renovation
Great staff, great location
Excellent stay. Lovely staff, i always like being greeted with a welcome and a smile. Fast check in, comfy room, hot shower. Great location, right in centre old town. Nice bar area outside and very nice breakfast.
Service was terrible. The first day there was no hot water. For the next 2 days the AC was making noises that made it impossible to sleep. Once it was fixed, only the front desk was able to control the AC- so I needed to call them every time I wanted it turned on/off. My room was not cleaned, just the bed was made. Used cups and glasses, with my lipstick marks, were simply returned to the table. Used tissues and whatnot in the bathroom were left as is. Toiletries were not replenished. Basics such as water were not provided. Towels left on the floor - per hotel options for washing, were just hung up on the hook rather than replaced. Every time I needed something from the front desk, they had run out. I asked for a band aid- we ran out, go to the pharmacy. I asked for a small creamer for my coffee, we ran out, but you can buy from the kitchen. Overall, terrible experience with the hotel. But it IS centrally located and very easy to navigate in a prime location (and not on a hill)
Relaxing stay. Very clean. Lovely helpful staff.
The hotel stuff are helpful and friendly . It is in a perfect location . Loved the breakfast had a good selection of food. I would definitely recommend this hotel
Great hotel
good hotel great location
Nice value for money and location. Very small rooms.
All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Both day & night hotel managers couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Room was small but efficient. Typical European 3*/4*. Would definitely stay here again.
Great little hotel in a nice location
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is centrally located within walking distance to restaurants and attractions. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was on the small side with no sitting area. Overall, I give it high marks and would stay here again.
Thanks to Thiago Diogo and the night receptionist (sorry didn’t get your name) only down we already mentioned to the night receptionist, rest very nice hotel !
Loved the buffet breakfast! The hotel’s location was perfect for walking tours of the neighborhoods. The 5th floor room faced the street and had low ceiling sections that created a bit of a safety hazard for one’s head if one was not careful. The queen size bed was comfortable. Staff service was excellent and hotel restaurant food was very good.
Convenient, tidy and helpful
Fantastic location in the heart of everything and just a block from the subway. Nice, clean and safe
Heart of Lisbon
A great find, in the heart of Lisbon. Excellent cystomer service, particularly from Tiago. Nice, comfortable room, very clean
I had a great stay at My Story. The hotel is conveniently located to major attractions and has an excellent restaurant. It is a boutique hotel so you feel really at home and seen by the desk and restaurant staff. I enjoyed my stay there and look forward to staying there again upon my next visit to Lisbon.
Great job.. good staff
Stayed 3 nights. Clean, tidy, small room with high ceilings. Minor issues can easily be rectified… Room Climate control was locked at front desk which had to be unlocked daily by reception staff?! Coffee machine in room was not re-supplied with coffee on the 2nd day. Staff said that was their policy but quickly corrected that when we asked why there was a coffee machine?
Great location, room too small
Great place to stay
Wonderful hotel right in downtown. Great service as well.
Staff ,for the most part were helpful and friendly.
The room was large and comfortable and very quiet. The location was good for theater district but could be more central for sightseeing. Liked to have the restaurant available for breakfast. There are many steps when carrying luggage.
Excellent overall. Very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Very central location. Everything was within walking distance. The rooms were very small but that was expected. Good bar service. A little cramped inside at breakfast but plenty of seating outside.
A very nice stay
The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. The rooms are small but that is expected in most European hotels. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. We had 3 rooms and one didn’t have a coffee maker. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and was told that all rooms should have one and they would address it. The next day still no coffee maker. I went to the front desk and the lady remembered our room number without being prompted. She said she would tell her manager. The next day there was a coffee maker brought to the room and when the front desk lady saw me she asked if it was brought to the room. She exhibited excellent customer service and remembered me among all the guest she had to deal with. The location of the hotel was also convenient to all areas of interest.
The location of the hotel is great however the rooms are much smaller then the photos. Furthermore our check-in process was very disappointing: after 8pm there’s hardly anyone at reception. Despite the fact that we messaged the hotel via hotels.com that we were arriving late, they never responded to messages and we waited 20 minutes at reception for someone to come. When we checked in the room air condition was not working and it took till 11pm to get it to work and the staff never even apologized.
Very well located, out room was small but clean. The hotel staff very friendly
Excelent service, very happy with our stay
Great location. Clean and modern. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.
The hotel is conveniently located at the center of the main attractions. First I reserved a small room for 1 person and unfortunately is was too nosy, I could hear the neighbors. The reception lady was super nice and quickly changed the room for a much better one. Also they offered a late check out. I couldn't ask for more! Very recommended.
The hotel was definitely nice, and conveniently located near a bunch of restaurants and shops. Our room wasn't great, it had odd angles sticking into the room which I hit my head on frequently. The lock on our door and electronic keys continually broke stranding us outside the room. Overall, I would stay there again, but probably make sure to choose a different room.
Great Hotel Good staff and breakfast was great good location just that bathroom is small and there is no tea or coffee machine in the room
An average hotel, felt quite overpriced for what it is
Upon check in, My Story Ouro informed us that our room was not available and that we were transferred to a comparable room at their sister hotel, My Story Augusta (2 min walk). A 183 sq ft room was forfeited for a 96 sq ft room which was too small for 2 adults, not leaving any room for 4 pieces of luggage. The toilet shower and sink was in an area of 36 sq ft.
Alright if you just want a place to sleep
Pros: perfect location to stations, bars and attractions Cons: room was quite different from the photos, it was old, dark and lack maintenance especially for the bathroom. The window is next to a alley and no sunlight can come in. Non stop noise from the water pump that annoy us a bit.
Great few days place to stay
Great location very friendly staff Comfy and fully appointed room a little in the snug side Perfectly clean Close to the metro and main shopping and dining areas No complaints
Fun in Lisbon
Great service. Lovely room. Had a fantastic time.
Great location Breakfast area is very cramped, but reasonably good food choices. Room (411) was fine but our balcony was unusable, looked at the wall next door & had noisy air conditioning unit
Nice place right in the heart of downtown Lisbon
Bad room hotel in a good location.
The most smallest room I've ever been in. You can not stand by the bad from either sides. Not suitable to be in. The location is great - the best location in lisbon. Breakfast was pleasing not much to ecspect. After being there, i think it was better to locate a little farther from the center, and get a better hotel. It was desapointing...
Everything! It was a wonderful stay. The staff and the management were so accommodating. Thank you
Very pleasant and nice staff, good location . I would stay here again in the future! Thank you 🙂
The service and the attention to the client was super.Very accommodating and pleasant. Will be back again in June for St.Antonio.
Very clean, fabulous location, right in the middle of tourist area. Room was very quiet, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not too many variety but good quality, especially the pastries. Stayed four nights.
Very small room
Staff was very helpful. Night front desk , she went above and beyond to help with transportation. Rooms are very small but clean.
Great stay and location!
Great stay in a great location. Majority of things were within walking distance and although the hotel is in a busy part of Lisbon, we experienced no noise when trying to sleep. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Also great breakfast buffet.
Down Town Lisbon
The shower room could do with an update. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location. Roma’s are small, we booked twin beds…..the room was bigger!
Nice property within walking distance of many attractions and most transportation
Great hotel and great location, highly recommend
The different staff at the front desk were not very friendly. The only friendly ones were a young man who recommended a restaurant for dinner and then made our reservation and the young man at check out. The first day we had breakfast there, we already knew it wasn’t included in our stay and the young girl approached us loudly saying it was not included and if we wanted to pay now or add to room. Other people heard and were staring. She could have approached it differently rather than embarrassing us. Location of hotel is great.
Very small rooms. Good location. Okay for one night.
It is very central and walking distance from a lot of attractions in lisbon.
Spent 8 nights at this hotel for our 30th anniversary. The room was well decorated for our arrival! All of the staff were amazing! A special shout out to Ana, Francesca, Marianne, Tareq, Mazad and Rana for attending to our every dining need. And also to Joanna who made excellent suggestions for things to do and places to go in Lisbon! Tomas and Miguel were always there to assist with our every need. The room was kept well stocked and cleaned. The breakfast buffet was always full with many excellent choices! A very clean hotel in an excellent, safe, tourist area. We highly recommend that you stay there when visiting Lisbon!
Our room was small but had all the modern amenities. The hotel was centrally located, very clean, and the staff was very nice and attentive. Food was just ok, nothing to write home about. Overall great stay. I will return next time I’m in Lisbon.
The hotel is conveniently located right in the center, which is its main advantage. However, the rooms are tiny beyond words! It is impossible to properly unpack your suitcase or even hang your clothes 9there are 2 hooks with 3 hangers). It is basically a bed with a small desk across and no room to move in between. The breakfast is very basic, and the staff is not too excited to address customers needs. If you happen to dare to start breakfast 30-45 min before the official closing, the would not even refill the selection. Not to mention, the pastries are far from being fresh (and this is in Portugal!), the coffee is bad, the eggs are salty and it is all served on a bar counter with multiple people trying to access it and flies hovering above the fruit plates. Not a fun experience to say the least. And definitely disappointing considering the price!
Excelente
Great location. Loved our little balcony
Ive stayed twice now, i love it here
Location of this Hotel is excellent as it has easy walk to all major areas. For those of us who prefer to use the stairs, this hotel has a beautiful wooden staircase with sturdy antique railings. There is large graphics on the staircase walls and the stairs are very well lit up. The Front Desk and Service staff are are very efficient and friendly. You can have your meals indoors or outdoors.
Very nice hotel! However, folks will want to close windows at night. This a rather noisy area of Lisbon.
My Story Doesn’t have a happy ending
I stayed on hotels.com points. I got to the hotel and they tried to make it seem like I made a reservation at a different hotel. When I pressed them on it they told me there was a problem with the floor I was on. They made me move to another hotel up the street. I was traveling for work and had heavy bags, which were sitting right in front of them. They didn’t offer a taxi and I had to ask them then they said they would pay for it but didn’t give me any explanation of how that was going to happen. So I got to the new hotel and paid euros. Long story short, I paid for the cab. Then checking out he tried to charge €3 hotel tax. I live in Portugal and travel often. I know it’s €2. So upon pressing him on that he said NO! €2. Needless to say, I felt sadly tourist scammed at both places. I have never felt that way before. My Story is no longer on my list.
Brilliant location, quiet rooms even though located on a busy street. Bit of a smell of toilet/ bathroom in the rooms though
Great location, friendly staff
Great place to visit Lisbon
Very good overall. They just forgot yo do our room but great hotel. We are pleased. Right in the city centre. Plea tu of restaurants and main sites around.
Great location and very convenience for shopping restaurant and bar .
I liked the location and the staff was very helpful in providing advice on what to see and how to get there. I was reallhy pleased with staff attitude specially the two young men at the reception desk.
excellent
excellent stay great location the only down side is the size of the room its small/ otherwise its fantastic place
Convenient, laid back, pleasant staff, location — within easy walking distance to Metro.
Welcoming, charming and in a great location in Baixa Lisbon.
Great Front Desk
Front desk staff exceptional. Rooms a little small for more than 2 ppl. Coffee maker would have been a nice touch but it got me out of bed each day to.do my.steps,
Excellent hotel, good breakfast and location perfect to visit Lisbon (next to tram, bus and metro stops).
Staff is super friendly and nice. They helped me with an early check-in and dropped my luggage to my room. Interiors in the hotel and in the room are modern and makes you feel good. Room was clean and well equipped. Location is excellent and easily walkable to restaurants, Supermarket, attractions, clubs, transport. Will definitely stay next time here.
Good location. Close to the Metro station and major tourist attractions as well as the shops and restaurants.
OK hotel
Quiet old equipment, old towls, I think you can fond better at this price. The hotel design is OK, the rooms are small.
They changed my property when I arrived so never stayed at this hotel. They were very helpful to get us moved
Great Location
Great hotel with a wonderful location in "old town" Lisbon.
We got moved to Figueroa the day before we checked in. The room they gave us at that location was tiny and we barely had any place to set our luggage. The door to the hotel room at that location also did not latch when pulled closed unless you slammed the door which felt like a security issue especially since they didn’t make us aware of that but they were clearly aware of the issue when we brought it up.
Location was fine, very small double room. Could battery move around, no good spot for suitcases.
Convenient location
The hotel is centrally located in Baixa. Rooms are small but quieter than I expected. Very close to the water. Hotel front desk was okay. They answered my questions.
Enjoyed the stay
Close to the city center and metro helps
Great location (very easy to walk wherever you want to go) great service, great breakfast. Lovely decor. Rooms are very compact so if you have more than one suitcase this can be challenging.
Very convenient location. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
We've found our go-to place for Lisbon
Such a charming hotel, we only stayed for two nights but had a great time. - The rooms are well decorated, clean, and characterful. - The staff were friendly and accomodating - Breakfast was reasonably priced and enjoyable
Will not return to this hotel
Rooms are tiny, bathrooms absurdly cramped. Requested quiet room on high floor and were given noisy room on 1st floor. Spent miserable, sleepless first night. Requested change of rooms for duration of stay and given quieter room on 4th floor but still ridiculously small. Convenient location, decent breakfast. Won’t stay here again.
Good place but small room
Room was a bit too small for 2 people, so not really that comfortable. Service was good, though, and wifi fine.
Unexpected stay that worked out well!!
I unexpectedly had to extend my stay in the Chiado area due to an injury and was concerned that my next hotel would not be as comfortable as my first one. I shouldn't have been concerned at all. I liked the My Story Hotel Ouro location better and it had a restaurant! Definitely quieter. My room was smaller than what I originally had however the trade offs more than made up for it. I ended up being much happier staying there and would book there again. And yes, I am now healed!!
love the location
