Everything about this stay was perfect, they definitely accommodated me well. They gave me champagne and balloons and a cute birthday note for my birthday. Definitely will be coming back.

The staff here was such a delight to deal with! It’s a fun concept and I enjoyed using the credits towards the purchases of things there - felt more useful

Amazing Moxy

I cannot rate Robert high enough for his excellent service. He was so attentive, accommodating and helpful every time we walked into the hotel. Being from South Mississippi we had low expectations for hospitality, but he more than exceeded our expectations. I will defintely stay at this hotel again.

I love the Moxy, anytime I stay in NY its at the Moxy. I decided to pay a little extra this time to have a view, I got the back of a brick wall with only 1 window. That window was someone’s bathroom.

The bar and recreation area on the third floor was very convenient! We enjoyed our time here. Thanks Moxy!

Check in and staff were nice but unfortunately our room didn’t have working heat and hot water in mid January so it gets pretty cold at night. Staff tried to fix it but it didn’t work so we were giving extra blankets. We didn’t let it ruin the experience but it would’ve been nice to have a warm room to come in to

Had such a great stay 😄 would certainly come back the only thing I could say that may need improvement is that the shower had black stuff coming up from the floors while showering

Location is fantastic! So close to the OneWorld Trade Center, shops, restaurants , coffee shops and the Brooklyn Bridge. Staff went above and beyond to accomodate our requests, very friendly! Amenities are very family oriented (a plus for us) but work well for adults too, hotel was very clean, we'll definitely return to The Moxy!

Rooms are small but have modest yet clever furnishings and features. These include electric blackout shades and dimmer switches all at bedside. The front desk, however, is placed oddly next to a loud and crowded bar rendering it difficult to communicate in person with the front desk at check in and nearly impossible to get the desk to answer and field calls for routine requests.

Beware of resort fees!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. There was no coffee in the lobby or room. There was a $50/night resort fee which could be applied towards breakfast, which wasn't particularly good and service was slow and terrible. Even getting a coffee was difficult!

Shower water pressure was bad. They need a better reception area. It was cramped and confusing, which was exhausting after battling NYC in itself!

I enjoyed my stay!! Malik was wonderful he told us where to park and also gave us recommendations on places to dine and visit! The Dj was awesome she really knows how to host a party!! I would definitely stay here my next visit to New York!!

I was iffy about this hotel only because it looked pretty small and although the rooms were kind of small, they were perfect for two people. It was super clean & very aesthetically pleasing. It was quick to check in and we got to check in super early! (Join with the Marriott member option so you can do so and not be charged extra) I signed up at the property and my room was ready within 40ish minutes! I also requested for a late checkout and I was able to do so . Overall 10/10, they give you credit for the food and bar as well. I definitely would stay at any of The Moxy locations again.

The room situation was not correct at first but Malik promptly took care of it by giving us an even better option. He was amazing! The stay overall was awesome! My sons had a great time playing basketball and my husband and I loved the overall atmosphere! We will definitely be back 🤗

Room was generally nice but fold up chairs were rickety - someone could fall over and hurt themselves. Restaurant food was limited and mediocre.

I stayed here over the weekend and was so impressed with the over the top friendly service and how beautiful the hotel was. My view was amazing. Justin and Malik were so helpful when I actually lost my phone in a cab with using their phone and accessing the lost my phone app. (I found it!) They were caring and understanding and I couldn’t have asked for nicer staff throughout my stay. I will be back when I visit the city again. Thank you so much!

Think about coffee

Moxy Downtown is the best place for me to stay for business travel. So convenient. Rooms are small but tidy. Wish there was a way to have coffee in the room.

I loved staying at Moxy. It was very quiet throughout the night and the place is squeaky clean. The staff are friendly. The room is well appointed (AC works great, the lights and window blinds works great), but there's no small fridge or microwave. Overall, 9/10, minus the fridge and microwave.

They don’t clean your room every day unless you ask them but I wish they at least come to collect garbage every day. There’s a bar on the 3rd floor and it’s very noisy but you don’t hear the noise once you are in the room

Very poor shower. Customer Service nonexistent in Bar substituted drink without advising, Bat staff to busy chatting to serve customers. Safe faulty in room, overall would not stay again. Shame as location was good.

Amazing property !

Convenient location, walkable, close to transit, lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance. I was not satisfied with the staff and service. I called 3 times and was on hold for 35 minutes just to ask about an iron. And I had to call from my cell phone because the phone in the room would not dial the front desk.

Great location for the price! Staff was friendly and attentive. Ex: rooms are not serviced every day, but a quick phone call got our room turned over without issue. They also provide a large number of toiletries that one might need, and were great about storing our bags after check out so we could roam the city for a few hours. I'd love the corners of the shower to get a little attention, but other than than, great property and would recommend! Rooms are very small, so pack light preferably.

Second time I stayed here and as usual, the welcome and service by the Moxy team is superb. Location is amazing connecting you well with the subway, as well as good nearby eateries. I don't like the $25/day tax which you need to spend on in house purchases, kinda blackmails you into buying from them, but for the location, room condition and service, it can be overlooked.

Disappointing stay. So many little details missed. Nice neighborhood, but given the price I'd expect more: room door had to be slammed to close/lock, restaurant couldn't come up with a bowl and spoon to use for early breakfast before the restaurant opened, hot water failed one morning, elevator opened into a janitor's closet (wrong elevator door). Yikes.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Moxy. I brought my friend to NYC for the first time, we were so close to everything either by foot or uber. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Joe's pizza and Stage Door Deli were our go-tos during out stay (check them out). Definitely will be back to stay at the Moxy Downtown.

I always stay at the Moxie downtown when visiting my student at Pace University. It is so convenient and easy to come and go, check in check out. It’s clean and they have a nice little bar, and in the morning great coffee.

My stay was good, check out and. Service from the manager was terrible. I am not one to make a big deal of stuff but I don’t get that when a customer asks you to explain and break down what they believe and have been told by your assistant manager and others to be an incorrect charge. To not try to explain throughly, to be rude and dismissive, and to offer what you feel is a resolution. After calling for months, sending emails with no response. I would recommend you book somewhere else, property is nice need better management.

Never will stay there again.

We never had our room cleaned, even after we asked the front desk. We had dirty towels on 3rd day, and our trash was never taken out. Rooms are small. The air conditioner in our room sounded like a jet engine, a horrible night's sleep.

Decent hotel and amazing location. Amazing service upon checkout. Didn't appreciate the forced use-it-or-lose-it $25 daily fee for snacks and drinks but made use of it as best as I could. Would appreciate getting tid of the plastic smell in the lobbu.

Nice Stay

Our stay was nice. I expect a few more standard amenities when I stay in a hotel (extra towels, body lotion, blankets, etc). I don't think I should have to ask at the front desk. The hotel in general was clean. Our room was very clean. The extremely small lobby was congested at check-in but the process was fairly simple and quick. I wish the front desk person had explained things a little more thoroughly but she was hurrying to accommodate the line of people behind us.

You should definitely start your Bonvoy and travel journeys with the Moxy properties! Every Moxy is different, fun and one of my go to homes away from home when traveling on short 2-3day trips.

I recently stayed at the Moxy Hotel Downtown for our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make it special. Upon arrival, we were surprised with an upgraded room and a thoughtful gift bag, which was such a nice touch. The staff was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay, even offering us a late check-out, which made our experience even more relaxing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place that offers both great service and attention to detail!

Just enough space for 1 not sure about more than that! Elevators are a little slow and rooms include shampoo, conditioner, makeup wipes and hand soap. Thin cottonelle toilet paper and no feminine hygiene products available. i expected a bit more for the NYC experience but the price did not include these qualities. The bar and rec center did not disappoint if you’re looking for action. The sounds did not travel to the rooms and really close to multiple subways. overall happy with my experience and would recommend.

Overall the experience was quite poor. The elevators took forever to get to the lobby, the room was unclean, need to request for your room to be cleaned (which I did) and they still didn't show up. Hidden fees that were not clearly disclosed until I checked in. Won't be returning to this location (the Moxy in Chelsea was way better)

Love this hotel a lot.

We took our daughter to college at PACE University. The Moxy was the perfect location for traveling just one block to her dorm. View was awesome; room nicely appointed to put luggage in corners and clothing in underbed drawers or on hooks; staff was always kind and helpful. We enjoyed to bar and restaurant every night! We would love to come back here every time we come to NY to visit her!

The greetings from staff were incredible! The atmosphere was modern with hospitality that went above and beyond. I was talking with my friend about having to walk the city due to a flight being late at night. Without even asking the front desk extended my check out time to try and help. They give free drink tokens for the bar and the room was very nice and renovated nicely. The only aspect that could have used modifications is the water pressure in the shower. Overall 9/10 stay and now I’m a member I will be back asap

Very small rooms, no refrigerator iron or microwave. Extremely basic. Beds aren’t super comfy like other hotels. Limited elevators with such a high volume of people. Small front desk long check in and check out
