Decent room but facilities like the shower head rail need checking as this one had no way of stopping the head slide doen the rail. View was a multistory car park but staff were really helpfull and I felt comfortable

Flexible staff and nice and quiet

Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were awful too. Hardly slept. 2 different thicknesses of pillows might have helped.

The team at checkin and check out were lovely. Closeness to hydro was spot on, and discounted parking was great.

Good clean hotel perfect if you have an event at the hydro and about a 20 minute walk from the main shopping streets in the center

Perfect hotel

We had an absolutely amazing stay. We travelled to Glasgow for a concert at the SEC which was literally a 5 min walk from the hotel. Our room was perfect, so much room and we loved the separate room and our teenage daughter liked this too. We took our pet dog with us and the hotel staff were absolutely fantastic with everything. One staff member even held onto him to allow us to get our breakfast! 100% will book every time we are down again! Well done Moxy!!!

A goid hotel for a few nights

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Moxy, Glasgow. The staff in reception area were super. Friendly and efficient. They dealt really quickly with a long check-in queue. Our room was spacious and very clean. The shower room was immaculate. We were a little surprised when, having been out all day, on our last day, we got vack to our room at around 8.30pm and there had been no room service for us. The room was exactly as we had left it at around 11.00am that morning.

Gig stay

The man doing the check in on Friday evening was really helpful and friendly was a very good 1st impression of the hotel, played the music of the gig we were going to

Staff fantastic , really happy and helpful . We needed directions for station the helped us so much . Room pristine and very comfortable . I don’t usually sleep well in hotels but we slept so well we missed breakfast . We made sure we didn’t the second night and it was excellent so much choice . The location is also great for trains and ovo hydro - thanks for a great stay .

Overnight stay

Room was comfortable but bed was a little too firm for us. There were also only two half used toilet rolls left in the bathroom which wasn’t ideal and was not very hygienic ! Otherwise room, although small, had everything we needed for 1 night !

Great place to stay for the SEC/Hydro/Armadillo. Nice clean comfy room, decent breakfast and food options - no fuss. Except - Didn’t like the “free cocktail included” thing - too specific (even including the non-alcoholic option). It’s gimmicky. A free “baseline” drink would be better, especially given the prices for such drinks.

Attending a concert at the Hydro, The Moxy proved to be the perfect venue. Check in was quick and friendly, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was decent too. Unfortunately 2/3 lifts were out if action.

Great room, lovely staff, very welcoming atmosphere. Only down-side is the immediate surroundings are a bit industrial and grim. The walk into town is short though.

Good hotel with weird things also such as ironing only can be done in a room in each floor. There is no oron in the room. Also no closet.

First time staying at this hotel, and it will not be the last time. Excellent in every way. Cannot fault and it was very near to the venue of my concert. Reccommended.

One night gig visit.

Visited for a nearby gig. Easy to find and a short stroll from nearest train station. Busy but friendly vibe with a lovely bar foyer area with lots going on. Would definitely return.

Nice hotel, let down by some below average food. Staff very friendly and the pool table is cool, if over priced. Free game per stay would bring a good vibe

Absolutely loved it

Good stay but the streets around Glasgow - and especially SEC - are dirty with dropped food etc. Had our 8 month pup with us and continuously pulling him up for trying to eat stuff off the pavements and also the floor of the hotel

Nice hotel & convenient to SSE.

Was ok for a weekend not enough table space to put things.

First time staying, great quick checkin , lovely modern room lots of lighting options comfy beds . Great bar & lounge are had food tasty and reasonable sml menu of pizzas and chips tortillas. Pool table and other things to do , board games books etc. Sml tuck shop available 24 hours and also Dog friendly hotel with treats for dog and other things you may need for them staying over. Definitely be back

Overnight stay

First time visiting the Moxy and surprising how aesthetically different it was to main stream hotels on appearance. That said room was comfortable but missed the complimentary biscuits on tea tray you often get. Room had everything required as did bathroom. Only criticism I left phone charger in room and it wasn’t handed in by cleaning staff presumably as no one contacted to confirm either way. I would have thought items left behind would have been in an area reception staff could check rather than having to contact them by phone when there is a small likelihood they may not work early evening…

I tried to cancel due to a health emergency and could get hold of anyone at the desk

Great location for hydro. view from room was onto a multi story car park, I was aware of location, but it is very close. Other than that I can’t fault hotel and would stay again

Moxy SECC

Excellent, hotel amazing, staff amazing and great location for the Hydro

Good location for hydro bar staff couldn’t speak good English so was difficult to understand bar queue horrendous and not enough of them when hotel busy for concerts.

I liked the main reception, bar area - different to other hotels I have stayed in - a nice change to Premier Inn. I would recommend this hotel for people if you are going to the local Hydro for a concert. Within easy walking distance.

So easy to get to the ovo and great restaurants

Really lovely welcome when we arrived. The man who served us was very friendly and welcoming. It makes a big difference when you arrive to a warm welcome. My bedroom was too warm in the night. Apart from that excellent accommodation. Thank you.

Nice 'quirky' touchs throughout the hotel. A happy welcome in the lobby. An all round pleasent respite from the city.

Well priced bed for the night

Stayed due to visiting a concert at nearby OVO Hydro. Ideal for this. Basic and provided what we needed at a good price. Twin room beds seemed a little bit narrow for male's but fine. Hotels.com doesn't mention that a large carpark discount is available at front desk.

Room was very small, especially the bathroom. We were expecting something a bit more substantial. There were two of us staying but only one chair to relax on, the staff were lovely however there was no one policing the breakfast and a few serving dishes were empty, eg. Bacon and hash browns weren’t topped up regularly otherwise it was fine. Would stay again though but would ask for a bigger room.

A comfortable hotel with parking attached (discounted rate). Worth the buffet breakfast.

The hotel was lovely and modern, breakfast was a little bit sad, next time I probably wouldn’t pay for the breakfast but apart from that it was really good!

I attended an event at the SEC and got to the hotel early requesting if I could leave my bag there. To my surprise the receptionist checked me into my room early! This made things so much easier as I was able to get refreshed after a long journey and an early start to the day. Very friendly and the room and food was very nice. Really recommend this hotel, liked it!

Fabulous lobby and friendly, impressive staff at reception. Room a little smaller than expected and a nicer view than a car park would have been great. However, everything else was spot on

The Moxy is a good boutique hotel, about 1mile from Glasgow centre and for us it was great as it is about 1 mile walk from Ibrox too

Moxy Glasgow

Open spaced with plenty of seating. Hotel and rooms fresh and clean. Staff helpfull and friendly. I had to ask for the room window to be opened, staff reluctant at first but did open it.

Budget hotel, avoid

Check in was sufficient, there wer crisp all over the hallway and no sign of clear up. Service at the bar was terrible, unprofessional and quite frankly unacceptable for a hotel.....the server couldn't even operate the soft drink dispenser. Obvious that they were either not bothered about their jobs, or that they were woefully under prepared for the role.

A nice modern hotel with all amenities - reasonably priced with a good breakfast selection -only downside is parking adjacent to the hotel (for the OVO) - a little pricey even with discount.

Good stay in family room

Good stay. Very helpful staff. Great food and atmosphere. Enjoyed the board games in lobby that kids or adults alike can play. The Air con panel needs some instructions, as its too complicated to figure out. Even when I googled. Great close location to the SEC / Hydro. Only negative is that the Fold out sofa bed, was not particularly comfortable.

Everything you need for stay in Glasgow

Disappointed to say the least

Very surprised at the very small nature of the rooms especially facing a multi story so opening windows or curtains did not help, smallest en-suite I have ever used, couldn’t even dry yourself in the en-suite so as not to wake partner up, ground floor is totally uncomfortable for breakfasts, dining area with either high stools on tall tables or very low box seats at normal height tables does it in my opinion suit diners, very busy period over the weekend at breakfast and only 1 x coffee maker working and very limited choices with irregular top ups on hot food/bread etc Not a great experience in your hotel I’m afraid on what should have been an enjoyable anniversary weekend Sunday evening post hydro show and two bar staff on, neither knew what a shandy was and took over 5 mins to get two drinks, this review is only my opinion but unfortunately this hotel is not for me,

Perfect hotel for Glasgow arena

Hotel was ok rooms on the small side with very small bathrooms - nicely done though. Hotel reception is open loud and more functional than cosy. Perfect for Glasgow arena.

Brilliant location next to OVO Hydro. Lovely room with a nice buzzy bar to come back tomorrow will definitely return.

Not the normal Moxy standard

I’ve stayed in 3 Moxy’s previously and all have been fantastic with really high end rooms for the price and little quirky features. This one feels like a bit of bog standard after thought that’s been built and thrown together quickly. It felt like a generic budget hotel room, very plain, very small and a bit meh overall. Not what I’d expect for over £140 a night. Whilst the staff were friendly enough too, there wasn’t that buzz and atmosphere I’ve experienced in the other Moxy’s. Overall I’m disappointed and if this was my first Moxy experience I wouldn’t stay again - I’d just pay less for a bog standard budget hotel instead.

Moxy ovo hydro

One night stay for a concert so adequate. If you had lots of luggage for a longer stayit would be tight, no wardrobe just few hangers. Room was good though for our needs.

Location was perfect for what we needed. Seeing a show at a close by venue. There was a slight odour in the room, not sure what it was but it wasnt bad enough to put us off

my boyfriend and i stayed here when we came for a concert. it’s such a beautiful hotel. all staff were so friendly and helpful. room was so clean and so lovely. amazing place will definitely come back again

I stayed here with my teenage daughter when we went to a concert. We had a lovely stay, the staff were really nice and helpful. The room was very clean, had a decent shower and breakfast was good. Would definately recommend and will be booking again.

Great place to stay, very convenient for if you are going to a concert as its just round the corner from the ovo, breakfast was good. Had to go out to eat for lunch and eat as not a big choice of food but Brilliant experience

This was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect as we were attending a concert at the Hydro. The staff were all super lovely. The room was really big. There was plenty space, it was clean. We never had any food but I would definitely try it. There was a complementary drink which was very unexpected but appreciated. I would stay again.

Location is in an area where you have to walk a bit or arrange for a taxi. Nice rooms friendly staff.

Stayed at hotel before. Ideal for the OVO Hydro. Room is fine. The drinks are over priced and the bar food is terrible … we had onion rings (6 small ones!) and Mac Bites again 6 small ones! Plus the salad looked limp… seen better food from Iceland. Apart from that… the hotel is fine. Please don’t rip off residents will dreadful expensive “food”
