Rooms are terribly small. No fridge, microwave, or coffee maker.
Last minute booking and it was great for us.
Very loud, no soundproofing. Awful breakfast. Definitely would not stay again.
Loved it!
We really enjoyed our stay! Super cool vibe, fun bar and perfect location. Service was friendly. Would stay there again no doubt about it! The rooms are small, but we were not there to stay in the room so it didn't impact us. We stayed for two nights...much longer than that would be tough as far as space goes. Bed was a bit hard for my taste, but overall comfortable. The bar on the rooftop is loud so I recommend asking for a lower floor room if that will bother you. Our room had a white noise machine that helped alot.

Loved it all!!!
Hotel gave us a room on the 9th floor which is right below Mandrake the rooftop bar. It was terrible and no one would be able to sleep with sound blasting from the bar until 2 am! The rooms/ hotel poorly designed for noise/ sound control. If you want to party, this is the place to be, but if you are looking for a hotel, don’t ever book a stay here! The hotel staff was also not apologetic at all or did not even offer to move us to a different room on lower floors. Marriott Bonvoy should drop this hotel chain as it is shameful this is even on their network!
The room was very small. I enjoyed the balcony. Staff was GREAT! I loved the atmosphere.
1.The security in the elevators. Having a key card that allows exclusive access to upper floors is nice. 2.The breakfast was subpar. Bagels, melon bites and hard boiled eggs isn't much to choose from. It would be nice to have more vareity.
This was a beautiful property. I had a balcony room and it was a gorgeous view. I love the decor of the hotel and it's unique spin on the traditional hotel stay.
Extremely loud DJ in bar which was not needed as there were multiple night clubs all around. Just craved a quiet atmosphere. Had to raise voices in order to hear one another
I enjoyed my stay at Moxy. The facility was clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are so cute!!! I can't wait to plan another trip so I can stay there again!!!!
Great addition to the Short North
Nice, stylish and smartly designed new hotel. I love the check in at the bar, the free drink token and how quickly we were checked in. The rooms are small but well designed and equipped. Only negative is that I was there on a Thursday night and I could hear music from a nearby club in my room while I was trying to sleep. They do have white noise makers in the rooms, though. I would stay again
Conveniently comfortable
Very convenient, very clean, right in the middle of a busy area so plenty of dining and shopping options Rooms are compact but very cute and comfortable
Loved it loved the bar area check in
Great location and easily accessible to lots of restaurants. Parking not the best though.
A great place to stay in Columbus' Short North
This was our first stay at a Moxy brand hotel and we absolutely loved it. Our room (Queen suite) was spacious with a big balcony and a very well-designed and well-equipped bathroom. Service throughout the hotel was great, from housekeeping to the front desk (part of the bar area, nice touch) to the valet. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Columbus. Give this Marriott brand a try if you haven’t yet…
Excellent location
Great location, in the middle of everything.
Property was modern and very clean . Convenient indoor parking for a few bucks across the street. Only negative was the fact that at check in the staff member charged my room again on my card plus incidentals. Total of 190. I purchased through expedia, he was suppose to charge the expedia card on file not my personal card. Money cleared back into my account a few days later. Other than that it was a good time.
The hotel was excellent, quite a bit of homeless people in the vicinity, some were a bit aggressive.
Staff let someone into my room where a lot of my items were stolen
We had a problem with our tv, but when we called the desk, the gentleman couldn’t leave because he was all alone. The check in desk was also the bar, so we had to wait for the employee to make drinks for a group of 8 people before he could even get to us.
Rude
There was no Men and Womens bathroom made my wife and me very very uncomfortable. This is very rude. They should accommodate for everyone especially victims of sexual assault!
First time at Moxy’s and we are very happy with everything here at the hotel.
I like it’s so close to the event I attend to Because it’s Pride weekend the music is so loud and ice machine is not there
Great stay
Great.
The Moxy was beautiful but the rooms were significantly smaller than I expected. They also didn’t have a fridge or microwave in them, which is on me for not paying attention, but something worth noting if you’re looking to book! Beds were comfortable tho and room was very clean
Check- In process is not clear. I had a late flight, called the hotel during normal business hours to inform them of my late arrival. Upon my arrival the team member on shift was asleep on the couch in the bar area. I called several times to gain access to the building, but the team member was asleep - valet parking attendant gave me the run down on checking in.
Convenient
It’s very trendy and for the young crowd. Restaurant on the roof top hosting parties can be noisy to the upper floors. However from my personal experience I lost my wallet and was able to retrieve it in the morning on the 2nd floor. Some very honest people turned it in. Thank you to the incredible staff at the Moxy Hotel.
The only place to stay in the short north
Overpriced/ judgy
My boyfriend and I stayed here for sonic temple 2024.Wasn’t allowed to go to the rooftop bar because my shorts had rips and I had a band T-shirt on and fishnets! Which the only clothes I pretty much wear is band tshirts🙄 made me feel like I was trash and wasn’t good enough for their bar/ hotel. Also had to pay 25 a night for parking no fridge or microwave either! I think it was way to overpriced in my opinion we won’t be staying here again.
The property was small. It is deaigned to be like this. I would not return.
It said it hard parking but it was not reserved only for hotel guests, so it was completely full when we arrived. We had to park 1/2 a mile away.
Awesome property and convenient to everything. Rooms are fantastic as well.
Tiny rooms. No amenities not even a glass for water in your room. Bed was horrible. Won't go back.
Lights please
Have stayed here many times and it has always been easy. My main callout is that the rooms could use more lighting.
Location Location Location
Convenient Location
Had an awesome stay, everything was up to par. Staff was amazing, and check in was fast and easy. Really enjoyed the hangout area. Walls are a bit more thin, but it wasn't a huge deal for us. Space is small but convenient/nice. You're paying for the location mostly (not the usual hotel amenities like coffee/microwave/free breakfast) in my opinion because it's in the middle of everything which was awesome. Definitely would stay again. Only complaint is I wish there was a bit more communication about valet in general. It was just a bit confusing dealing with valet as valet isn't technically part of the hotel but not a huge deal. Overall, it's definitely aimed for a younger crowd, but it felt very welcoming overall and safe!
At your own cost if you like the bare needs
Well, there was no one at the desk at 230 am, me and my wife had to almost wait an hour to get in because the front door was locked and the valet is seperate from the hotel. The hotel room was so small that the dresser was the bed frame, no microwaves in the room and i mean small room.
Will Never Stay Here Again
The lighting was so dark. The bathroom was not cleaned when we arrived. The cleaning staff acted as if they couldn’t speak English when we just asked for more towels. And we never received any extra towels.
There's a nightclub on the upper floor and restaurant on the lower floor which both blast music fairly late at night, at least on the weekends. The walls are also fairly thin as I could hear loud conversations by my neighbors pretty clearly, and there was some weird sound from upstairs that sounded like someone was rolling a bowling ball on a hardwood floor or in a bathtub. The descriptions on the website portray the hotel as being modern but I should've done more research to know it would be more like a youth hostel with ties to a restaurant, workspace and nightlife.
Smallest nearly $300 room ever
cleaning our room was skipped on first day
Staff and service was great! I was in a handicap room the nightstands were about 1 foot tall. It would have been great to have a small desk in the room. I understand the room is handicap but the shower setup is very poor it's very narrow there is no room to take a relaxing shower.
Husband and I had a great one noght stay at The Moxy.
I have never been to a hotel with staff as friendly as here. The location is the best for walking to many food and drink options. The common areas inside were a great addition and my group spent 4 hours hanging out playing pool by the bar. The room as immaculately clean. I love every Moxy location I've stayed at and this hotel line is my favorite out of all the Westin properties. Very kid-friendly; would recommend and stay here again if I visit Columbus again.
The staff is always willing to help and friendly. Hotel and restaurants are clean. We always enjoy our time here!
Love the atmosphere and vibe of the hotel.
Great
Nice and clean spot . Only thing it needed was a mini fridge and microwave in the room .
Great room, great amenities
The decor was amazing. Staff were very friendly.
It was my first stay at Moxy in Short North. I liked the check in process at the second floor bar. They give you a token for a drink. It’s hip and cool. We dined on the 10th floor restaurant Mandrake which I loved, but that wasn’t part of the hotel. The decor is cool and vibrant. The elevator is a huge challenge with picking your floor and getting it assigned. I didn’t love how long it took or that your had to go to floor 1 from Mandrake then get off and back on to get to your floor. Kind of ridiculous. Rooms are very small but efficient. I opted for one with a balcony and that was a nice feature. On the 6th floor. I like the high ceilings and the style. The negatives: horrible shower head and pressure. It was hard to get the soap out. The mattress was so bad. Not a Pillow top of even a little fluffy, not a chance. It felt like an inexpensive mattress. The blanket is colorful but not soft and very flat along with the pillows. Rule 101….the bed is everything. You have got to improve the quality of that bed! That was shocking. The heat was set on 70 then 71 and yet it was freezing. I had to turn it to 74 to be warm so i think the thermostat was inaccurate. I’d love to stay there again because of the amazing location but the quality of sleep i got was sub par. Hoped for more.
The Moxy is a great location downtown! It’s convenient to bars and restaurants, has guest only elevators, a terrace, a bar and more. Parking is also very easy with garage space and valet, which is rare downtown.
Top Notch
I was here in Columbus for a conference and stayed at the Moxy. I would choose this property over all others in the area! Amazing service and the desk staff were top notch!
Excellent staff. They really made a very positive experience for our stay. This was our first time at the Moxy and certainly not the last!
Awful stay.
The hotel was so loud, music from all directions, unable to sleep. Wall are so thin you can here the people in the next room on the phone, having sex, having a normal conversation. There was a party going in the room next to me till 3:00 am.. I called the front desk and nothing was ever done about it. I would never recommend this hotel.
Great location, nice rooftop bar very modern young cool hotel for party guests they have club if u want go to bed at 10 pm won’t happen. Amazing property love it
Excellent hotel, wonderful service. 10/10
Terrible customer service. No TV remote in room, called front desk several times, never responded. Spent the evening watching movies ON MY PHONE. Called multiple times for a partial refund when I returned home, no response from manager. I didn't mind the pounding beat of house music into the wee hours but the staff response was abysmal.
Noisy, Tiny Rooms
Too noisy. Banging early Saturday morning after a fire alarm went off at 2 AM. The roof is a bar, with partying until 2 AM. Rooms are tiny with no closet. If you want to party and then sleep at the same place then this place might be for you. Otherwise stay at a better place.
Think it was the restaurant downstairs, but couldn't sleep because of music.
Im an experienced international traveler. For America, this hotel, although lovely and lively, is a place for upper-class 20-somethings looking to see and be seen. We were there one night for a concert so it was fine for coming home late. If you're used to non-NYC hotel rooms, choose another place. Otherwise, its a bar/club with a hotel conveniently attached.
Great property. I had a long paragraph explaining why but it got erased. I would stay again.
Exceeded all my expectations. Excellent view of the city and very comfortable beds. Great bathrooms and helpful staff.
Great atmosphere, close to lots, great sound control
The place was fine, but my room felt like a broom closet, the internet speed was terrible, and I could hear the music from the bar from my hotel room on the 6th floor.
The associates just aren’t friendly. Not much else to say
I didn't like having the homeless people at the front of the hotel day & night. Didn't fell too safe.
With the Exception of the Terrible Check in Entrance (Had to walk my luggage up 2 flights of stairs to the check in Lobby) I love my stay
It is a nice hotel, the valet parking was very easy and fast. The worst thing is that is very noisy in the night
Great location, fantastic design elements, and a comfy bed; but little quirky things piled up and became headaches. Our TV remote didn’t work, the steamer in the room didn’t work, the phone in the room didn’t work… None of those things ruined the overall experience but each was a hiccup that took time to address. The room was small (which I expected) but I suspect the size of the room may have become a nuisance had this been a longer stay. The small space meant no closet or dresser. Lots of hooks gave places to hang items but it made for a very cluttered environment once unpacked.
Overall the property was nice. Very clean and very high class. I wish there was a mini refrigerator and a microwave
Amazing location in the heart of the activity area. The facility is very nice and modern with lots of amenities. Just know that the rooms are very small - like European room sized. Still nice but just don't expect a lot of room to move around in or to keep a full size suitcase open during your stay. W didnt mind since our goal was to be out and about.
The staff at the bar/hotel check-in were extremely busy when I checked in. They didn't give me any information about the hotel - I didn't know that there was free coffee, I didn't know the check out time, etc. I felt like I was a burden to the employee because she had drinks to make and I was taking her away from that. The hotel was very loud. I could hear very loud noises on the floor above me all night long which made it very difficult to sleep - the white noise machine was a good addition to the room, but didn't help. The room was fine.
The entire place was set up so cool and we just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We got to act like teenagers and just do whatever we wanted thank you
Tiny Rooms, Elevators are so dumb
The rooms are the smallest I’ve ever seen for a modern hotel. No places to store a carry on suitcase or hang clothes. Not even a bottle of water in the room. No housekeeping for multi day stays. Good location depending on what you are into. I’d recommend just using the stairs because it’s tough to figure out how the elevators work. Seriously they outsmarted themself on the elevators. Complimentary bagels and coffee in the morning were awful. Multiple restaurants in the building which was nice. The rooftop bar has a great view. There was a college kid passed out in the lobby chair one morning. I pointed it out to staff and they just laughed and did nothing. I’m guessing it wasn’t the first time. I would say the front desk staff was very friendly. I won’t be returning to the Moxy though.
service was quick and people were friendly. rooftop patio was great. easy to get around and easy to park
It was a very unique hotel the diner downstairs is amazing and they have no gender bathrooms which is awesome!
Check in was at 3:00 but my room wasn’t ready until after 4:00. After driving for hours the last thing I wanted to do was wait for over an hour to get in my room
What an amazing weekend. We came to Columbus for the NCAA tournament. The hotel was clean, staff was so friendly and attentive, perfect location to walk to everything. A lot to do close by and so many places to eat, coffee shops, restaurants, taverns, and bars. The Townhall restaurant/bar in the lobby had an amazing atmosphere, great food and the best coffee. Hotel was unique. We will definitely be back. Go Green!
I needed to change my reservation date due to a concert being postponed. I wasn’t trying to cancel or get a refund…just change the date. I was told “there is nothing we can do.” They were extremely rude and not sympathetic to the situation. I asked to speak to a Manager. I got put through to voicemail and left a detailed message. It’s been a week and still no call back.
Beautiful and modern
I left my necklace in the room and the housekeeping said it wasn’t there. Don’t expect to get your items back if you forget them… even if you leave a tip for the cleaning ladies.
The Moxy has a fun cool vibe and central walkable location to all the shops and restaurants, staff were excellent. That part we liked. But the rooms are very small, with not enough storage. The biggest issue is the loud party scene at the hotel's bar, 6th floor patio, and downstairs restaurant. Many non-hotel guests come in and are excessively loud, rude and destructive until all hours of the night into morning. We left a day early because of being woken up repeatedly between 2-5am. Fire alarm was pulled, and we had to evacuate at 1am the second night of our trip and had police escorting multiple people out of the downstairs lobby. Will likely not stay there again.
The room was tiny, with only one small chair besides the bed to sit on. There was no desk, and only a small round, wobbly folding table to use. So basically no space to do anything but sleep. The towels were low quality, the water pressure weak, and the general feeling of the hotel is that it puts more energy into trying to be retro chic than it puts into providing quality service and accommodations for its guests. The most disturbing fact was that a fire alarm went off and the there was no communication, guidance or direction given by the hotel staff. Guests and nightclub goers continued to use the elevators while the fire fighters were in the building trying to determine what had happened. The staff never signaled to everyone when they could return to their rooms so many guests stood around near the entrance at 2am when they could have be instructed to go up to their rooms. I would never recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel. As a Marriot Bonvoy member, I am shocked that such a poorly run hotel is part of the Marriot chain.
9/10
Overall very nice and clean room and hotel. Modern decor, great views. Felt secure as you need a hotel key to use the elevators and stairwells. Only downside was no free parking. Paid $30 for a nearby garage.
Really surprised nice clean and affordable
Great stay. I enjoy the room as a whole. The staff was helpful and courteous. Loved the gym.
Friendly staff, nice area, elevator only worked half the time.
Strange check in. (OK, I'm 67 years old) Poor signage re parking garage and check-in. Room and Bed were OK. A table in the room would have been nice. We put one suitcase on the little folding table and other suitcase on stool.. Pls provide rck to place suitcases on. Food for breakfast was lousy. Lots of items had expiration dates that had passed. Room was quiet. Mud from construction nearby was a mess and made it difficult to get into the building via garage entrance and from garage across the street
Staff is incredible
You have to go out into the hall to iron clothes. The towels we so thread bare. Not enough pillows and they were too small.
Area
Upscale vibe/feel. Check in was quick and easy. Love the way the elevator setup works.
Excellent service and a beautiful spot to stay.
So easy to stay here right in the heart of Short North. Friendly people!
Great stay
