With a stay at Moxy Brooklyn Willamsburg in Brooklyn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of New York University and Barclays Center Brooklyn. This upscale hotel is 3.4 mi (5.5 km) from 5th Avenue and 3.5 mi (5.7 km) from Wall Street. Stay in one of 216 guestrooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms feature showers with rainfall showerheads and complimentary toiletries. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events.
On check out day, I was knocked twice by housekeeping. I hope they have accurate information so that I don’t have to explain to them twice.
Had a little staycation with my daughters, First time at the Moxy and will definitely be returning. Staff was friendly and room was beautiful and beds comfortable.
Near subway station, very friendly staff, clean room, big enough room and bed for me and my teenage kid. Not big enough for more than 2 people. Loved the area as I could do my laundry, get water, and eat around the place. Very clean and modern design and feel. They give you allowances for free food and laundering!
Although the property was nicely decorated and beds were comfortable for the price the amenities veered sparse. 2 paper cups in the room. One very small metal chair. Nothing available to warm up some food. The nose relaxing indoor space was constantly unavailable to guests and the upholstered couches and chairs were so stained! Lobby/bar area was small, crowded and loud. Would not recommend unless that’s what you’re looking for at $650/night!
Convenient to the venue we were attending
I liked the hotel, and for the most part, everything was fine. The property was nice, and the staff were wonderful! Everyone was friendly and helpful. This part of Brooklyn is very safe and easy to walk to shopping and dinning. We did have a few issues. There’s no place to unpack your bags - no closet, drawers, etc. The shower is very small, the outlet by the sink didn’t work, and the toilet ran the entire week. Honestly, none of these items was a big deal and we enjoyed our trip and would stay here again.
Honestly, Underwhelming…
From my perspective, if you want to spend a trillion dollars on overpriced drinks and mediocre food, spend time downstairs at the Bar Bedford. The rooftop bar which is hardly open is underwhelming as well. The staff seems apathetic at best, and ill equipped. For being in the hospitality industry, they seem to know very little about hospitality, nor do they execute it well. Drinks cost at least $20 which is a comparable price to the best bars in all of New York and in the world, and yet the drinks are hardly special or that good. A simple one and one (gin and tonic) costing $20 is extremely absurd, even for New York, even for it being a hotel. There was never a trashcan in our room which made keeping the space tidy, really difficult. The space is also incredibly small with little room for storage or organizing. I enjoyed that the toilet is separate from the shower and the sink but there isnt really a bathmat or a place to reasonably hang the towels. Nothing is complimentary in this hotel, for this price, which is crazy. Not breakfast or laundry or any of the overpriced food. The coffee was complimentary. It is a place of smoke and mirrors, that looks fairly gorgeous in the photos, but cheap and plastic-y as well as a bit kitschy and tacky in real life. They lure you in by a seemingly hipster hotel in Williamsburg and then immediately piss you off when you realize how mediocre everything is and at a ridiculous price point.
Amazing staff
Good: Convenience of bar/restaurant at hotel lobby, somewhat near subway line (need to take bus or walk 10-15 mins), a lot of food options if walk down Broadway. Needs improvement: Cleanliness (pillows and towels had stains), need better sound proofing (heard very intimate couple next door), destination fees should be optional. Also, I get that breakfast bar can be busy in the morning but we had to wait 10 minutes before servers even acknowledged ylus and took our order, and the macchiato I ordered was only half full- definitely did not make my morning....
Great stay!
Small guest room room but very thoughtfully laid out in a compact “tiny house” way. Multi purpose Lobby and public spaces nicely designed with clean modern “green” aesthetic.
Noisy, lack of cleanliness, expensive
Very good overall, small room, very noisy overall. Lack of cleanliness
Hotel was unique, clean and very comfortable
Great view! Central to food and night life.
Excellent
Excellent hotel. Clean, staff was very accommodating. The rooms are small but you’re out and about so it’s very manageable. Rooftop was closed when we were there. Closed to train, restaurants and food shopping. Great location!
I didn’t like they had no microwave or fridge
I had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again!
Hotel staff was quick and very easy
The moxy is a nice spot
Excellent location and vibe, very friendly staff and comfortable lobby.
Great location
i stayed from 31-1 and i had a great experience. staff was great! Rooftop & Downstairs lounge was a good vibe after we came back from the concert ! i would definitely stay here again. Thank You
Everything
I appreciates the design and decor. I thought the room space was a bit tighter than expected.
Good vibes
Great location and really helpful, friendly staff are the things I liked most about our stay. The place has a nice vibe and the minimalism of the rooms isn't an issue. Less nice was the Halloween parties on both Friday and Saturday nights which they didn't tell us about until we checked in and that featured pounding music and screaming party-goers until 4 am. I would go back but I would make sure they didn't have any events planned ahead of time.
Location
Wonderful hotel with outstanding staff.
Na
Moxy event ruined it for us
It was some what disappointing as they advertised and offered a roof top event for 4th of July and it was terrible. We had paid for 5 people, got to roof early, found out the sitting was all reserved and had to be big spender in drinks, but no tables left. It was geared for a younger scantly clothed clientele and they should have advertised as such. Never fot my $150 back as the only option was to resell my tickets, but I was unable to. The manager at desk tried to make it up with a couple bar tokens, but was a very disappointing stay.
Will stay at Moxy Brooklyn again
Easy check in and check out, lovely staff, eco friendly. Enjoyed the rooftop bar, great evening views, nice staff there too:
It’s a basic,no frills hotel, clean, rooms are small. Staff was not super helpful or enthusiastic
Dissapointed
If you only have a backpack and do not want to sit in your room or hang anything up maybe. The bathroom basin in the hallway? Really? Maybe considered 'current', but we wont be returning.
The beds were heaven! Got some much needed sleep. Loved the staff and the decor.
Stayed here for 4 nights and it was so much fun! I was a little hesitant to book because of some of the negative reviews, but honestly the room size was just fine! It’s true there isn’t a ton of storage space but there was space under the bed to store your luggage and compartments where I stored my shoes and bags. There was a clothing rod which we used to hang our dress clothes as my husband and I were in NY for a wedding. (Added bonus was the steamer included in the room.) There was also enough room to hang some other garments. The room also had lots of hooks which we used to hang our bags, hats, and towels. Honestly, you just have to be organized with your belongings and it works. Also, how much time are you actually spending in your room when you’re visiting New York?! I will say that my husband and I are not shy about bathroom duties, but I can see why it could be uncomfortable for some as the bathroom door won’t cover all the possible sounds that would come from a bathroom. ;) Anyway, the vibe of the hotel was great. All of the staff were super friendly. The $25/day was also a nice excuse to unwind at the bar. Drinks were awesome! Didn’t get around to trying the food. The location is also fantastic. So much to walk to! And, best part is there is a market right downstairs open 24hr with a chopped cheese sandwich that I’m still drooling over now :( Definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a fun spot!
This hotel has a fantastic location and the staff is helpful. Some picky negatives are that the check in process is slow, the hotel has a busy social scene that can be disturbing late at night and one other detail! The pegs in the compact room are very useful, but please add some to the bathroom area! We stay here often and will continue to do so. Thank you, MOXY.
Rooms are small and no place to put your luggage up. Employees all very nice. Woken up in the night by people screaming in the hallway.
Room was very clean, but not very spacious. There was not a working iron. Another thing of note if you get a double room, the shower and bathroom doors are frosted glass, but still very transparent.
The lobby was beautiful and the amenities in the building were nice. The quality of the room did not match the cost though. We also had a sub par experience. The AC unit wasn’t working and wouldn’t get cooler than 71 degrees even when it was set to 65. The worst part was all of a sudden at 4am every single light in our room turned on which obviously woke us up. It was a very unsettling and disturbing way to wake up because our first thought was someone entered the room. It took forever to fall back asleep and for someone who is pregnant, this was just not a good experience. I told the front desk the issues which they took a measly $50 off our $800 bill. Don’t plan to stay here again unfortunately.
An excellent hotel close to WB bridge and Domino park
It's a Great hotel, with a nice Location. A lot of amenities in and around the property. Great rooftop space and Staff with good vibes. Wish the rooms were a bit bigger, but nice & unique in all¡♤🙌🙏
Everything was great
The pics of the scenes of water and other things from rooms is fake I only seen tree’s and another building from my room Was told I could switch tomorrow 3 days in a row then every day they booked and can’t switch my room
Excellent
Great
The property and location are fantastic, but be mindful of the rooftop bar, which can get quite noisy. I stayed on the ninth floor and found the music to be overwhelming, prompting a move to the sixth floor. The music typically quiets down around 10 PM. According to the front desk, it's common for them to relocate guests or offer headphones for this reason. The rooms are lovely and clean, but they are quite small.
Beware this hotel is noisy. I paid for a city view room however when I checked in the only room available was on a room immediately above the subway and Williamsburg bridge. It was so noisy. I was moved to room without a view. This time I could hear the roof bar 😬 No effort was made by the staff to compensate me for my financial loss
Staff was ok but rooms too small jot even space to open bags, toilet didn’t work properly
Yes the rooms are tiny and the storage is well creative! Shower and toilet are separate units and the lack of a fridge and a coffee maker is disappointing. We just used it as a place to sleep really as we were out and about all day so it worked for us as the location is really good with so many things to do on Bedford Ave. Subway is 10 mins away. Rooftop bar is LOUD! And the $25 daily charge is just annoying as you can get a credit on some purchases but not all. Overall nice place if you don’t plan on spending much time in the room!
Overbooked hotel.
Love love
This hotel was unique and modern. The rooms are smaller but great for the time we needed and the area we needed to be in. It’s a convenient location with corner stores and restaurants in walking distance. They have a rooftop bar, lounge, lobby bar, restaurant that’s also super convenient and cute !
Love it
Great
Great stay
Great hotel
The property over charged me. Please correct
Nice hotel, loud music coming from outside or in lowered part of building. Unable to relax mid afternoon
Worse room design ever. No place to put toiletries Your partner knows all your business. Toilet and shower in the room, really??? This might be good design for single male but not for couples
Omg it’s amazing! The best moxy ever and I’ve stayed at two. I’m staying an extra day it’s so good!
The hotel staff, service, and our stay was just perfect. Though the rooms are small they are equipped with hooks to hang your bags, coats, backpacks etc, to help make space and it’s very functional and thoughtful in many ways. There is also a simple complimentary breakfast services in the lobby from 7-10am and offers bagels/pastries, juice, bananas and more. There is a parking structure a couple of blocks away, but we lucked out with parking right in front of the hotel. We stood with our 2 boys and they even loved it. Great proximity to dining, bars, local eats and more. Is add free ay again.
Moxy is the best
Moxy is always a good choice - clean, fun, perfect location - rooftop bar lillistar is a must
Bunk beds for the 4 adults worked perfectly. Everything in the room was very well thought out for space saving.Got a credit we used for breakfast and a late check out. Only out of character experience was the availability in the lobby of hot water on coffee bar . but no tea bags When asked was told I had to pay for a tea bag Really?
The staff were wonderful and made for an excellent start to our vacation. The property was well kept and staff were quick to help. The night we stayed there had been a surprise down pour of rain and the staff put out towels for guests arriving back to the hotel, very thoughtful. The rooms are small but the space is well used and all you need for a short stay.
Have stayed here almost 10 times. Love the smell of the lobby. The lobby bar is great, roof top bar is wonderful and the back club late night is a blast. Hotel is always clean and maintained. Well done as always
The staff was fantastic, great area, great amenities
Stay here
Beautiful hotel in the quiter park of Brooklyn. The view of NYC was mesmorizing. Swanky hotel, amazing food, and room credit provided to spend in the restaurant.
Staff great, vey clean overall this hotel is a central location, my room on 9 floor great view of the city and the bridge My only complaint room is to small for 2 people’s
Everything was amazing
We got a great parking space right in front just had to leave at 8:00 am.The staff called a cab for us also. The staff is extremely helpful.
Cutie hotel
Super cute and clean hotel. Lots of fun things to do in the hotel and around the immediate vicinity. Has a lovely bar and good espresso machine for a lovely latte in the morning. Room was very clean and i loved All the hooks to hang things up.
Breakfast buffet could be better. Noisy at night
Hotel was nice
Nice area and cool vibe. A little small and the sink is in the bed area but hey.... it's NYC!
Great groovy spot
Rooms large but not well designed - not enough storage for 2 people, wardrobe space. Lighting options very limited. Ventilation in toilet poor. Bar in lobby area understaffed. No draft beers. Rooftop bar only had 2 poor beers, not all beers listed on menu. Understaffed for happy hour in lobby bar. Staff generally uninterested and too pre-occupied with being cool to take notice of customers. Fire alarms going off early morning and no explanation as to what was going on. A/C control in room 611 not working and had to call maintenance to fix. Elevator and lobby area restroom poorly lit / very dark. Customers expected to use revolving door - difficult for my deaf-blind son. Side door marked do not use. Overall, very disappointing. 5 emails - one per day - leading up to my arrival. Too much over-promising and not enough delivery. Need to get better at the basics - room comfort and service. Won’t be staying again.
great gem in a lovely and vibrant area. Moxy is now my New York hotel.
Thank you to Jack for putting us in a bigger room! Much thanks
Amazing staff and crew - felt welcomed and they gave us great recommendations- would definitely stay again.
Misleading information: 2 free breakfast - NOT
Our stay was ok, the room was super clean and comfy but we would prefer to have our room done every day instead of every other day. There was misleading information in the web page, telling that during July 1 until August, there was 2 breakfast included for free but when we arrived, they did not knew about it and told us that every client had free complementary breakfast, where the options where full of sugar (fruit juice, granola bars, sweet muffins, yogurt) and I was charge for every breakfast (eggs) even though I showed the info on their webpage.
I didn’t like that we didn’t have a refrigerator in our room.
The staff are extremely helpful and so friendly. Had the best time
My husband, 17 (turned 18 there), and I stayed there. Very modern and trendy, however no bathroom privacy. We had a stall for a shower and a stall for a toilet. Both with shower stall type doors. No bathroom to change when you have an older child in the room. The DJ also was extremely loud in the lobby. We tried to have a night cap with friends and we weren’t sure if the crowd was supposed to be dancing as there was no floor set up. So if it was for background music, we had to shout when talking. Very confusing vibe. Great rooftop bar/lounge and fantastic views! Disappointed it was open to the public all the time though. As a family or with my son and his girlfriend to stay with us when we go back, unfortunately, Moxy won’t be our first option.
Great place and the environment is amazing. The area and walking distant to trains/ buses was extremely amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC due to so many restaurants, stores and things to do within walking distance. Will be making more reservations with this hotel in the future.
Really enjoyed staying here over July 4th. Excellent bar, rooftop and restaurant next door, Mesiba. The lounge was clean and felt welcoming. Lobby includes a great bar and interesting installations. Generally the staff at Moxy hotels just have a great vibe and are rarely mopey. My room was wonderful, great shower and floor to ceiling windows. What a view! Slept pretty well even though it was a bit noisy. Besides a few cleanliness nitpicks, it was a great experience, would highly recommend.
Pretty good overall
Very cool vibe in a great location. The rooftop bar is spectacular and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room design though is far from ideal. Tiny bedside tables (even though there is plenty of room on either side), separate toilet closet, shower closet and then the sink in the middle of the room. Hooks fold out of the walls to provide some storage, but it was not an easy room for two people. It's unfortunate because the view was fabulous so it could be a much more enjoyable stay.
Location is very convenient and close to the city as well
Everything........
I had a terrific stay. Staff helpful and friendly!! Loved the area. Easy to get Ubers. Rooftop club so nice, restaurant / bar good food and drinks. Highly recommend!
Staff did a pretty good job. There should be some communication between the hotel and the rooftop. They seem to be one entity but they are separate. Nice trendy hotel but it’s very busy around the area. Very accessible to public transportation and intimate restaurants
Rooms can be better
The location is central to Williamsburg
The hotel is very trendy, but room is very small.
Checked in a couple hours early and they managed to open our room for us. Very efficient.
Room to small
Excellent experience, it presents like a boutique hotel, loved the customer service and the room
Good location in Williamsburg. Clean rooms. Nice staff. Unfortunately, you can barely move around in the room it was SO SMALL with no room for our luggage. The transparent shower and bathroom doors were the worst part though. I’m confused, are you not supposed to travel with anyone else but your partner when you stay here? Why is there no privacy?
Brooklyn stay
Room was very small. We were there for a weekend and all Saturday afternoon and evening we hear electronic music with annoying base in our room. The staff could not move us. The white noise machine they offered sounded like a jet engine. There was no volume control. One positive thing was free water and juice in the lobby as the temperature was 95 ish
Easy & friendly
