Great experience and great staff, special thanks to Ghufran from reception for her professional work, she was very helpful and assistive
Room had insects, amenities were very poor , and when you order anything it takes a long time,
Bathroom was a little dirty. No towels, no bathrobs, no iron, no slipers in the room.
Hotel rooms in bad condition and need upgrades (rooms are more like 2 star motel not a 5 star hotel). We booked two rooms: first room there was dry urine on the toilet seat and bed sheet had a big coffee/beverage stain and two towels were dirty. Second room had no towels. We had to wait an hour to get our room cleaned and serviced before we could check in. Wet towels handed to us at reception smelled horrible. Food service below average: One restaurant for breakfast buffet and was crowded and service was very slow - if you are a family with kids breakfast will take a good hour or more. Dinner at same restaurant was for extra charge (about 80JOD for two adults and two kids) but food selection was horrible. I booked this hotel several times over the years since 2018 and this will be my last time at Movenpick the place is a run down. Staff are kind and helpful but the hotel is obviously understaffed and needs major facelift. Until that happens I am not staying here again.
Great place for family with many pools and great food and beach front.
The worst services ever I see
Excellent choice of pools especially the adult kids free pool. Friendly and attentive staff all over the property.
Very pretty and private beach. Staff really nice and helpful. Free shuttle to town. Very nice landscaping. Separate pool for adults. Sinai Dive Shop on premises.
I stay at this place everytime I go to Aqaba
Probably our favorite resort ANYWHERE. Just a fantastic place...location, rooms, amenities, food, staff...just incredible. I truly can't recommend it enough.
Overall is great
The overall all experience was great, just needs little maintenance updates such as AC units due to the heat in the summer, not saying it was not working but needs a little more power. Will go again and again no issues.
Worst experience ever , we arrived at 2 am after a long trip , the main lobby full of flies , hot like crazy , but that's not the issue, the issue we had is that their credit card machine is down and no one can fix if,, The make us stay in the lobby for about 2 hours waiting not allow us to go to our room than charge us at any time,, we are not going anywhere specially when we travel that long,, I even ask them to allow my wife to go to the room and I stay… the answer no , and the manager not even take a moment to talk to us he staying behind his disk in the back,, so we end up leaving and reserving anther hotel nearby and losing the following day since we slept most of the day to recover ,,we left around 4:45 ,, my conclusion, very bad inexperience staff, dirty place , take my word and doesn’t ever thank to go there,,, specially when you paying that much to have a good time ,,,
Excelkent hotel but they dont give enough food service in diner though people pay forv5 star hotel in diner no beverages Dont let you bring food from outside
Great stay
This is probably one of the prettiest hotels I have ever stayed in. In addition, the staff was amazing.
Fantastic hotel with great pools and views and beachfront location. Staff and food also great.
Beautiful top-end beach beach resort
We had a fun time at Movenpick Tala Bay. Unlike many other top end chain hotels, this one is genuinely welcoming and all staff are so friendly. Facilities are superb. We loved the many beautiful pool areas, the 3 warm jaccuzzis and particularly the giant water slide. ‘Chocolate hour’ is actually not chocolate, not on for an hour - but the free patissery is delicious, anyway. Breakfast buffet is huge and with an impressive range of savoury local dishes, including many vegetarian ones, as well as fruits and international brunch items. Happy hour in the lobby bar is on for 2 hours, and features basic beer, wine, shots of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, though sadly none og the delicious cocktails. Pool bar’s lemon mint drink is the best non-alcoholic cocktail I have ever had! Rooms and bathrooms are huge, and a thoughtful feature for the balcony is a hanging rack for swim wear - such a simple thing, that is so often missing. Diving and snorkelling is good, if a bit pricey. Everywhere is fantastically clean.
It was perfect ! The staff was grate welcoming very good place for kids
Full service resort with friendly, accommodating staff. A dive shop on site completed the features.
i
Great!
Great hotel, with large facilities, a good breakfast, many pools, and a private beach. Free shuttle to Aqaba. The only problem is that the only pool that was heated is too deep for small kids.
The property is beautiful but the customer service is very poor. The food is below average. Tried the international buffet which is overpriced the quality of food extremely limited.
Great alternative for Eilat
Great hotel and value A lot of pools to choose from. Close to the Marina
Beautiful hotel. Staff not welcoming enough. Can’t bring in food or drinks. Drinks in hotel are very expensive.
All is good, the breakfast is not great though
the facility and the stuff was great ! breakfast was good. the rest of food in the hotel restaurants was ok but not that great.
Beautiful hotel and grounds and very friendly staff
Excellent choice for families. Real oasis in the middle of a desert. Plenty of pools to relax and swim. Very friendly and helpful staff that make sure you enjoy your stay.
Service is very good
Very good service, clean in general, very quiet, family oriented, very friendly staff beside a few ( smile for god sake) Management lacks professionalism dealing with few issues. Expect extra charges from the hotel if you have children 12
Stay away
The hotel misrepresents itself as a 5-star property when it’s in fact somewhat of a motel. Loud, overcrowded, small dirty beach, bad food, outdated rooms. My shower was backing up, a/c was difficult to regulate, elevator wasn’t working. Hands down overpriced. Kempinski was cheaper the weekend I went, I very much regret making this choice because I was under the mistaken impression, the beach was nicer.
Some properties look old and not clean.
Run down and poorly managed. The room was tired with a number or hinges and fixtures not properly attached, this and the dented table gave a generally shoddy impression. I’ve stayed in mövenpick hotels before and I’m aware that they tend to be a bit tired but with great service and fantastic food. This is not the case in their Tala Bay branch. For dinner, we had to wait for half an hour to get a table for two, a frustrated manager directed us to a messy table full of leftovers from the previous guests. A member of staff then directed us to a somewhat cleaner table. We were both in shock as to the messy state of the restaurant. It looked more like a McDonald’s during a kid’s birthday party. At 8pm, most of the food was already finished, with kids running freely and the noise level very high. Options for dinner were ‘buttered vegetables’ and hummus that had already formed a crust. No information was given and staff were literally running back and forth and managers yelling at them, with no chance of ordering anything. My partner who is of African descent was repeatedly challenged if she was actually staying in the hotel. For breakfast, her coffee order was ignored by several waiters and managers. Self service offerings were very limited and service appalling. If you enjoy a mix of macdonalds birthday party and kindergarten without management with a hint of racism, then this is the place for you. If not, I recommend you look for something else.
A fun and relaxing family vacation, but...
As a family, we were looking for a secluded and relaxing stay so the property location was absolutely spot on for our choice, having situated just off city limits at the beautiful Tala Bay overlooking the mountains. The resort is massive with great amenities catering for all the family, including kids (there is a kids pool, adjoining a nice and well stocked kids play room). The staff on ground (Camila, Tiger, Lydia to name some) are amazing in engaging the kids and even the family. There are 3 pools and equal jacuzzies however 2 of the jacuzzies were broken and the one functioning was adult only so was a huge let down. Another issue was the food choices- we opted for breakfast and dinner with our booking however the menu wasn't really 'multi-cuisine' and vegetarian friendly so most of my family members (who are vegetarians) were left with minimal choice of food. A big thank you to the Indian chef (Pawan) who came to our rescue and was very kind to cook us some nice vegetarian meals throughout our stay. Some other minor things include missing route signs across the property as it is easy for the elderly to get lost or take a longer route than usual to reach places. Overall a big thank you to Movenpick team for a pleasant stay. I would rate it 3.5/5 just because of the food and broken amenities, otherwise definitely recommend a go. Another reason for it being one of only 2 resorts on that secluded route :)
Hotel is nice and clean, however reception staff lacked to tell us the full potential of the hotel. There is a free transfer to aquba and happy hour which we found out about on the last night. There was mis-communication on if there are any heated pools. Some staff said the north pool is, according to the manager it’s only the kids pool. The pools are all freezing. The buffet seemed to lacked pace, things ran out and took a while to replenish and if you went too early or late not everything was there. The Shezan lunch staff were very good and extremely good with kids and the kids club at the hotel is also very fun, some of the night activities could have lasted a little longer. Overall the hotel would have exceed expectations if things were communicated better.
overall is good
the check-in was fast, despite its a late check-in (starts 4 PM which is really late) but they upgraded my room to a better room with a better view, which is great, however, I booked with a half board, and I went for dinner after a couple of hours, the food was cold and with not much of verities, so after we finished I provided feedback about it, just a few minutes after that Chef Mohammad Fathi came to our table to learn more about the feedback, and he apologized and offered to order from the menu but we were done already so he offered anything like ice cream or anything that is not included in the dinner buffet and promised this won't happen again, the next day was much better indeed, the service and the food was much better, he agreed me himself and wanted to make sure am satisfied, once he found I was on diet he offered to make something special for me, it felt I had a special tratement and it was greate, he kept checking on me on every visit, other than that everything was perfect, the room was cleaned really well every day and on time, generally my stay was pleasent and the staff was really freindly and helpful, definitly I recommend it if you're visiting Aqaba except you feel like going out of Tala Bay as its a 20 minutes drive from city center.
The location is beautiful, the staff is lovely and friendly.
מחיר יקר למלון
המחיר לא שווה את השרוצ האוכל ממש גרוע אין מבחר בכלל והצוות בחדר אוכל מגעיל
Strict and below average customer service
Service was very slow. Reason explained was that hotel is fully booked.. i think they should have been more prepared. They force you to check out at 12 noon and they he told me if u check out after 12:30 we will incur you extra charge.. and check in is at 4 PM :)
Wasn’t That clean
The whole experience was amazing, the staff was amazing the food was on point out of all the hotel stays Movenpick is by far the Best!!!
The service of the hotel staff was exceptional
Very big and nice facilities variety in swimming pools but short in restaurants
I think Movenpick Tala Bay beach is the best in Aqaba, it has a large area, so you can walk, kids can play comfortably, there are some fun activities for kids and adults, and there are many pools. It is a good spot for snorkeling, you can go diving as well from the same beach. Also great check-in experience, special thanks to Ibrahim, who make it really easy and fast.
Very professional follow up and service. Loved the stay
I love this hotel
Beautiful landscaping and views everywhere you look
Even though of the pandemic, they managed to serve well and operate smoothly. Excellent staff.
I was denied any VIP access benefits, very delaued and sometimes no response when calling room service , breakfast is good but service is slow
Amenities are closed. Only the beach is open after 12. Sat at a bar for over 30mins with not attendents so i left.
Tala bay beach is amazing, but the hotel is not
Food was terrible. Breakfast was poorly managed. 3 shrimps included in the salad for 12.50 jds. On a positive note the beach is nice and relaxing and the staff is trying. Recommend staying at al manara.
Below expectations and aggressive employees
The hotel, with its current services, does not deserve a 5-star rating The staff are aggressive and rude except for a few of them I don't know why! no salaries ?!! The beach is not suitable for swimming. It is full of stones and rubbish. There are huge rocks inside the water, which are very dangerous and may cause serious injuries. The worst thing is the sea urchins (Abu Al-haylaman) among these rocks! At least clean and prepare the swimming area! No towels at the pool and beach, the employees are lying and pretend that they are few in number, even though there are many of them on the ground and they don't bother collecting and washing them. Some of the furniture is old and broken, as shown in the picture. Internet is slow and coverage is poor. A strong sewage smell from the shower ... maintenance came without any result and the smell remains! Staff justify all of the above on the pretext of Corona virus, although it has nothing to do with this matter. Breakfast is not recommended at the table, and it is a complete mess.
Great customer service from all. Great hospitality and a strong desire to ensure that all have a super holiday and make use of all the facilities. They aspire to provide a five star service and succeed. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
Bad experience, never again
Two nights in a row we were not able to sleep because of the loud live music that was played and continued until midnight. Though we complained nothing was done. We met with the manager upon checkout, but frankly, too little too late. Check in was messy, pool was empty because of maintenance, all in all no reason to ever return.
This place is beautiful and made a really welcome couple of days of rest and relaxation after
Except from the checkin which took more than an hour during which the clerk tried to argue that we need to add a payment although we paid everything
Overall it was a positive experience, hotel and staff was nice. Good breakfast buffet. I asked for a room with garden view and preferably at the ground floor. It was not assigned, I had to ask again upon arrival, the staff was prompt and gave me the one, however to the backside of the hotel. I would understand it, if the hotel is full, but it was not busy at all and we had just 2 nights. I was not mad about it, didn't argue or request a change, since in fact this was what I have paid for. But it would not cost a penny to the hotel and my customer experience would be much better, resulting in a loyalty to Movenpick. As I'm gold member with Marriott and Diamond in Hilton, I can spot differences in attention to details and personal satisfaction. There is perhaps a slight / minor piece missing, and if added to the staff training and resulted attention, the final result would be close to perfect. At the moment, I see it as missed opportunity from the brand to create such extraordinary experience for nil cost.
The property is fine, but a bit outdated and food and beverage are overpriced. Check out was problematic because the woman was distracted by her personal phone constantly ringing and not being well trained in refunding deposits, handling credit cards, etc. my bill had to be done three times and the last time she still didn’t understand that she was giving me a about a $600 refund on food rather than charging me. Finally a more senior member understood the problem and fixed it, but it took forever. I will live in Jordan for three more years and will possibly come back, but will explore other properties first. The property was clean, beds were good, but I am not sure the food and beverage prices are warranted and staff needs training.
Great bedroom suite with sea view, lovely gardens and swimming pools, good snorkelling off the beach, extensive buffet meals, very friendly staff
The beds were very comfortable and the room was kept exceptionally clean. Loved the grounds and associated pools and greenery. Shuttle bus very convenient and easy to use. Breakfast very good with wide range of food and drink.
Best hotel regarding money and value one received
The hotel is perfect location and beach facility. All stuff provide great service beyond belief, to name a few of staff members Amer the head of Rasta our ants and bars and all his colleagues, Ruslan from the reception who cares for every wish you need, Tarek also from the reception desk who Professionally react on any case and also many others people from the staff which names I do not know, but as well were quite professional and very, very kind
It was amazing :)
I've never had such a poor experience at a hotel before, particularly a '5 star' one. Felt like one stressful experience after another, left exhausted/disheartened. It ranged from a lack of class to general incompetence. It began with a miscommunication between this hotel and Movenpick Petra about something I had understood to be arranged. While this was not my fault in anyway, the rudeness and hostility I was met with the first afternoon/eve was awful, particularly from an employee Dariya. It continued: the towel person kept me from catching the last time of sun; a lifeguard whistled abnoxiously for 15 minutes for myself and another person to stop swimming in the enclosed safe swimming area at the beautiful time of sunset which turned out to be for no reason as others got in afterwards, and were in the next eve; the key to my room didn't work the next day, and the front staff kept giving me the key to a different room apparently, but I had to walk back and forth for at least 20 minutes given how far my room was from lobby to find this out each time; at checkin they told me I could use the phone to make calls outside, when I tried and couldn't, operator told me rudely I wasn't authorized to make calls without explaining why and on leaving, the night manager who had previously seemed like one of the few kind people there, also talked to me in an arrogant condescending way to what turned out to be another misunderstanding via front desk staff. Diving centre people were great.
A large and clean beach, several weeiming pools, beautiful gardening, professional personel, lovely location near the beach, well-equpped rooms
Great hotel. Great service. Pools are excelent. Breakfast is not good enough.
Great Resort in Tala Bay
Great resort for family vacation. The pools are amazing, The kids had a great time in the water slide, and swimming around the channels .
Weekend in Aqaba
A weekend with friends. Good hotel lots of families around. Entertaining dance shows at the evening.
Best hotel in aqaba!
Nice family stay in south of Jordan
It was very nice stay for me and my family, the staff is nice and the amenities are very good
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Very nice place
Very nice couple getaway we enjoyed will be. Back
Just fine. Could be much better for a 5*
Just fine
Good hotel but needs updating in places
Lovely hotel but in some areas needs to be updated. The rooms we stayed in very very good except for the air conditioning,in both rooms extremely noisy and we had to switch them off while we slept, not ideal in the heat. The restaurant was very good both breakfast and evening meal food was good. And service excellent. The pool areas were clean and tidy but many of the sunshades were broken or not available again not ideal in the heat. The beach area while clean could have been more inviting and tidier. Overall a good stay and I would recommend the hotel.
It was beautiful. We absolutely loved our stay at the Movenpick!
Beautiful grounds. Beautiful view of Red Sea. Did not have a concierge, which would have been helpful.
Great hotel with average dinner
PRO: relax & peaceful location, great staff, many pools & Jacuzzi, update decorated design. NEG: 1.You will be charged 25$ for Steam Souna & Indoor pool. 2. Late check in (not before 4pm). On our 2nd day the room was not tide when we arrived back at 2 PM even when they have all morning to do so and we also asked the explicitly at noon! 3. Dinner is only ok. Not 5 stars hotel. Eat in one of the restaurants at Tala Bay Resort nearby (carry your passport in order to enter)
Stunningly beautiful hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Stunning view of the ocean. I had a free upgrade to a Superior Room. I could walk out of my room to the garden & pool area. Several pools to choose from. Flowering bushes in garden with birdies singing. A place to relax. Food superb at the restaurant buffet. My room was lovely. Very comfortable, spacious.
Mövenpick Tala Bay Aqaba great service
Mövenpick Tala Bay has great location and nice beach. Service is beyond believe. People like Amer, Adhony Rashid Darya and all there colleagues may your stay great!!!
Great, but some disastrous service
Excellent except for NYE where we chose al a cartel instead of the family party function. Disastrous choice; service was terrible, food was cold, wine was slow and not what we ordered!! Food and Beverage Manager followed is around for the rest of our stay to ensure that our subsequent dining experiences were fantastic. Italian resatuarant was exceptional!!
Great location and lovely staff. But our room, although clean, was poorly maintained with many defects ranging from poor and noisy ac to unlockable patio doors. Profuse apologies but this is a place reaching the end of its useful life and needing a major refurb.
Beautiful complex, everything for our stay was perfect.
staff were rude (but perhaps justified), hotel was set up to take advantage of tourist's wallets, most people staying at the hotel were extremely rude and treated the staff horribly, staff complained about low wages—hence no version of Swiss hospitality is present here, just tired people being paid next to nothing for 13-hour days that would put the owner of such a business in court in Switzerland. hummus and coffee at the breakfast were good, the water on the beach was nice, but the pools and jacuzzis were unclean and children were in the adults only jacuzzis all the time. the beach was also full of trash
Lovely hotel. Really enjoyed the lush gardens and peaceful location. Excellent staff.
A typical resort hotel, big rooms, wonderful beds, noisy ac, intrusive background music, fantastic water park.
Wonderful hotel with great quality facilities and friendly staff.
This is advertised as a 5 star hotel. It is a low 4star hotel by European standards
A great stay
Fantastic stay at this hotel. In particular the staff stood out as being excellent and very happy to help. Great place for snorkelling and diving too.
We really enjoyed our stay. Service was excellent, very thoughtful for every need.
Great resort with activities
The check in and check out process left little to be desired. The person who checked me in couldn’t be bothered and didn’t explain anything (and there are a ton of amenities!). I was nervous that my rough start would equal a bad experience but everyone else made up for it! We enjoyed the extra activities, the beach and the pool. There were a ton of families when we went with a lot of kids, so beware if that’s not your scene.
We booked the full board service, but then we felt we were cheated. The lunch wasn’t open buffet like the breakfast and dinner, instead, the waitress said it is limited to a single order and that soft drinks, water and desserts were not included. We complained to the supervisor and argued until they waived the charges. This happened again on thr next day and put us in a terrible mood. They said there are two types of full board and we selected the limited one! Although this wasn’t explained or mentioned at the time of check in or booking. The cattering policy is ridiculous. For breakfast: both water and soft drinks are free. For dinner: only water is free, and for lunch they are both not free. The hotel has a play area for kids, but it is for a charge, which is another ridiculous thing. We liked the pools, the room and the environment there. Food was delicious.
Lillian and Victor stood out as exceptional restaurant staff. Overall a pleasant stay
Nice hotel, excellent staff and beautiful facilities.
Excellent place, excellent service, definitely I will back
Nice experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left
Don’t go there
Very old rooms, new staff, pillows in the room was that bad
Nice enough hotel. The food however was terrible.
Heaven
The best hotel i have ever been. Very kind people, large pool, lots of trees and flower. It was wonderful. We will return again very soon
Clean
Amazing. Clean, and delicious food, We will back for sure
