This is not a 5 star hotel

Awful stay, k will not be staying here again. Took about 2 hours to check in due to a mistake on their end, I had an email confirmation with a price for another booking from their admin team they wouldn't honour, even though I had paid a deposit. Furthermore, the front desk would not take my dollars because they looked 'old'. Hotel was dated and food wasn't very good at all, more 3 star than 5 star. Half board did not include any soft drinks during meal times. Beach felt more like mud than sand. Staff walk around trying to sell you packages.

Stunning views and weather in November

Amazing location, with stunning views, issue with noise as they decided to build every other day a stage for weddings which makes it noisy to build and dismantle for each wedding on top of the wedding noise. Having said that, I complained to the hotel and to hotels.com, the general manager offered us compensation and another room for the last night away from the wedding noise, though hotels.com did not do anything rather than log a ticket

Beautiful hotel, many possibilities for relaxing and enjoying, nice food and we love that the scuba diving center is there as well. This means one can really relax as everything is taken care of.

Lovely resort with mostly very friendly and helpful staff. Weird experience whereby the reception person seemed very confused by our request to arrange an airport transfer in the morning, sending us to several different people before we found one who managed to organise it. Otherwise extremely helpful staff, interiors are a bit dated, and the food at the dinner buffet was not nearly as good as I've had at other Movenpick locations. Would stay here again, however.

Everything was fine with my family’s stay at the hotel except for the receptionists, they were extremely rude!

Service staff were the best feature, namly, Ragy and Mohammed at the beach bar, Hussein and Abdel Hamid at the beach service, great room service by Omar. Also, we needed medical attention, and received great, great care from Dr. Hany 🙏🙏

Nice hotel with a private beach, very close to everything. The front door service and employees are very professional and polite. However, the front office was not as impressive, which proved to me that the special discount and room upgrade I was supposed to receive were just gimmicks. I never argue about my benefits; I usually say thanks and learn my lesson about whether I want to return to that hotel or look for something better. They should educate their service staff about the facilities and what is available there. I asked an attendant at the pool bar if they had coffee shops around the pool to order sandwiches or snacks, and he assured me they did not, and that I needed to go back to the main restaurant area. Later, I found out that they actually have two places at the pool where you can sit down and order snacks and sandwiches. LOL

Amazing service staff, very distinguished friendly service. Namely, Raggy and Mohammed at the pool bar, Hussein and Abdel Hamid at the beach service, Mahmoud and Gamil at the restaurant, all the staff was amazing.

I loved it there, even though it was a short stay, reception and staff were friendly amd the room was always clean and tidy. The private beach was wonderful as well.

The visit was nice in general, the place is nice, services is nice it could be better like the bathroom wasn't wiped once in 3 nights, it was clean not wiped unless ask. Dinner doesnt have much of variety, ywt they responded to do a request for dessert which we appreciate. Generally they miss small things like some food was leftover and lemon was not covered. Just small things that makes them better. Over all it was nicem

Big facility with multiple options enjoying swimming activities between different pools, lagoons, etc… loved the gym as well for a good start to the day

The property and the rooms were absolutely beautiful. I wish the pool would have stayed open later as it always closed around 5pm. We arrived on the evening of my daughter's birthday and the manager at the restaurant through together a beautiful cake. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay great!!!

Gute Lage, Hotel in die Jahre gekommen

Great hotel for families with young kids. Quite and safe. We were upgraded to a sea view room. The food in the buffet was excellent and varied each night. The staff from the reception to the gardeners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. We will definitely be back to El Gouna and Movenpick.

Room is good, well furnished food is good the view is amazing hotel is so quiet no activities to do at the hotel, you have to rent a boat for snorkeling or diving or book safari, this is the only activity you can do. number of staff is too little to serve too many guests.

We both got sick from this filthy dirty hotel that should get - star. Food is reheated from previous days, dirty hotel unsafe to be inhibited by humans. They should clean disinfect and learn their dummies how to handle food.

The property itself is great but the staff is unfriendly and clearly differentiate between how they treat foreigners vs. Egyptians. We paid for our room in full yet somehow we had the impression of being treated as second-class citizens. Also the housekeeping team talks to you in a way that screams "tip me, tip me". We were not impressed. Probably the only ones who smile at you in this place are *some* of the cooks who serve you food at the open buffet and one of the waitresses. The rest are either too robotic or have an attitude - we never knew why.

A beautiful hotel with a great beach, and helpful staff.. An excellent romantic getaway or a place were you can chill and relax.. The only flow, is food; they need to do something about it..

Service was excellent. Staff is very friendly. Food is outstanding. My compliments to the chef Dinner should include water, if anything else is needed will choose to get it. I feel forced to pay for water. Beach is so rocky. Couldn't have the kids play on the the sand bc there isn’t any.

This is my third time stay in this hotel but this time I wasn’t really satisfied since my booking was half board coz no BB reservation was available, my surprise was that I was informed that half board is breakfast and dinner only!!! When it is known world wide that half board means breakfast and lunch or dinner and I wasn’t informed other than that when I made my reservation!! Which was really upsetting on my check in, however I informed them with my complaint, they gave me the option either all days lunch or dinner! Again was chocking! So I had to choose lunch without any satisfaction from this reaction.

The only staff that were giving good service where the chefs in the restuarant and the housekeeper the kids pool was very bad with no filter operating for almost all the days we spent there. The pool wasn't heated as mentioned and no night life options at all nor any activites to make the guests happy

Good resort but not a 5 stars hotel.

Overall it is a good resort but not a five stars hotel. I liked the swimmable lagoons but pool is very small . No night entertainment. Buffet was acceptable but deserts are sooooo bad.

Ovenpick is just OK especially for age group 50+

Overall Movenpick is not my favourite, it would be my last choice. There are some good things about the resort and some bad things, my overall stay wasn't pleasant. The good things: location, kite surfing onsite, the garden, rooms on building 2/3/5, clean. The bad things: Unprofessional reception staff making the checkin painful, the food quality is average not a 5* standard, toiletries is very low quality, the hotel zone around rooms 7xxx is ugly, no soft drinks even water included with lunch and dinner, the resort is too big so sometimes you can't find the service workers when you need them specially around the health club zone, I felt some discrimination so if you are a guest with Arabic background you will get less attention, the service guys are craving for tips. Overall the resort for me is just ok but not looking forward to go back.

The facilities are clean, very spacious bathroom, bed was very comfortable. The location and community was amazingly clean and organized compared with CAIRO. It’s a nice oasis experience. We were disappoint with the food at the pool restaurant, the tasteless pizza and pasta I have ever eaten. Buffett breakfast and dinner were very good. We loved the spa and Asma was fantastic, the best massage ever. We had a couple of issues with our room that we resolved immediately. Very good service.

Very spacious hotel, clean rooms with great views. The room has complimentary coffee & tea but lacks thr basic amenities like cotton pads, ear cotton tips which is weird for a 5 star hotel . The pools are very clean but the swimming & food areas has a weird mosquito issue which is seen in all gouna ?! Staff very friendly & the hotel hosts a show every night!

Hotel is very good but the facilities is not too much

The location was good being in Elgouna. The rooms are scattered and far apart. The pool bathrooms were dirty and premetive. The check in meet and greet had a lot to be desired. The all inclusive would cost an additional wapping $70 per person. The rooms were scenic and comfortable. Breakfast is until 1030 am only and we successfully missed a few. Tang for orange juice in the breakfast buffet but fresh mango juice .

At a magic search

i heard so much about Gouna that i wanted to experience. It’s a very small city recently built with no particular charm but clean, calm, quiet with a lot of trendy restaurants, but for one who knows Saint Tropez, Ibiza, Mykonos, or Bali nothing to compare. Night life is very quite as well as the customers. Very disappointed by the beach which are not beautiful at all, even no sand. Most of the place are empty the night and the few who are there turn around. I really felt weird there and for sure a bit disappointed, I was expected something magic but there is no magic at all. A nice place to relax or for family who want to escape the crowded Hurgada or Sharm Sheik. Know also that here prices are really expensive It’s not the place to be but perhaps the place to see in yu need some days to relax at the sea.

Huge hotel with beautiful landscaping that's well maintained. The staff is welcoming, courteous, and professional. Khaled Abdo Rabou the manager is a true gentleman that took a great care of us to insure our comfort and satisfaction. The nightly entertainment is really good. I would come back and highly recommend this hotel

Great property, very relaxing and quiet! Beautiful view of the red sea with large balconies. The staff are friendly. It sucked not having elevator access with a stroller and baby, but the management tried ti give us another room 2 nights later...
