Excellent service and wonderful staff

Terrible service. I strongly don’t recommend for anyone. From the check-in we had to wait almost 2 hours in the lobby waiting for them to clean the room. Every time I try calling the room service, the line get transferred to reception, the receptionist says he/she will call room service to tell them to call back, this process takes at least 30 mins before they do the call back. Example: I wanted to add some salt and pepper I make the call it gets transferred wait for them to call, I finished eating by then.

Extending our stay!

After several months of travel, how lovely to walk into the Movenpick- it welcoming lobby and staff, beautiful carpets, a room with a deep tub, and super fast room service. The bed was amazing and the area is quiet-- I slept for ten hours.

We hust had a short night stay over. Was good.

This hotel is nicely placed for exploring - a short walk away from both the National Museum of Qatar and the Musuem of Islamic Arts. It’s incredible helpful that the room allows late check in too, as without this I wouldn't have booked the room. I landed at midnight. The breakfast buffet options are also great, plenty of fresh food being made in front of you including pancakes, parathas and eggs, as well as plenty of stuff off the shelf. We rocked up quite late and there was still easily enough food with loads of options. The chef even made a fresh grilled fish as there weren’t any left. My key gripe - the smoke smell - if this bothers you, it’s a deal breaker. I asked for 2 non-smoking rooms, albeit approx 24 hours before arriving to the airport - both had strong smells. Moreover, despite requesting the rooms together, they weren’t quite - but they were on the same floor. This was a mix of poor planning on my part and availability, but I did still expect to have 2 smoke free rooms.

Excellent location, close to everything, would definitely recommend to everyone who is visiting Doha

Amazingly helpful front desk / lobby staff, clean hotel, good location.

Movenpick is not the most modern hotel in Doha, but the rooms are clean and big, service is very friendly and quick, you can walk to the corniche, the Souks, the museums ant ist close to the airport. The cappucino in the lobby is great. Love it

We had a good stay but with some issues. Restaurant staff lovely but food repetitive or not consistent. Seafood buffet for 3 nights ! Had to ask for alternative, same desserts offered every night . Dinner ,no savoury option like cheese instead of repetitive cakes. Room cleaning inconsistent, 2 coffee capsules left each day , no soap replacement had to ask. Top management buzzing around causing issues but only when a Mövenpick visitor was in otherwise never saw them.

The service was brilliant and the team would do anything for you. Really nice place

I love the environment, the staffs are so nice and friendly, their meal is great, it’s very close to the museum of Islamic art etc

The Movenpick Doha Hotel offers comfortable rooms and excellent service in a convenient location. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, a relaxing pool area, and easy access to major attractions.

The room is ok and the hotel is conveniently located near the Corniche and Souq Waqif. However, the bathroom could use some renovation.

The room was specious and clean. The staff were helpful. It was walkable to many atractions.

Every good option for a short stay. Very helpful staff even though we did not arrive until after 1am. Also there was wine on the room service menu!

Hotel is in a great location for walking the old town, the corniche and for getting to the port. One negative is the bathroom/shower door that is too short leading to water ending up all over the floor. Great helpful staff and excellent breakfast facilities

Very friendly staff. Generally the building/ facilities need modernising in comparison to the surrounding hotels. Breakfast buffet needs more variety.

This property was not what we expected at all. The first room we got smelt like mold. It is quite an old hotel. The only positive was the proximity to the Museum and souk waqif.

Good hotel but surrounds basically offices, so little shops only.

Comfortable, polite staff, good location and good food but some facilities were outdated.

Very clean, nice hotel close to the airport and cruise terminal. Excellent breakfast buffet, knowledgeable and helpful staff, close to many dining options. Only thing that they should address are light bulbs needing to be replaced in the rooms.

A warm and friendly greeting awaits at this lovely hotel located near downtown Doha, about 15 mins drive from airport. Reception is welcoming, knowledgeable staff and well maintained in all areas including spa, pool and restaurant. The restaurant staff are eager to assist and the quality of food served is excellent in the buffet evening meals. The seafood is exceptional. I would like to say a special thanks for Urmila (“mom”) for taking care me and my son at breakfast, always helping and smiling. The room in the hotel we were allocated faced the port, beautiful view. But I would say rooms need modernising to bring up to current hotel standards, walking showers etc. like the Movenpick we have stayed at Sousse and Marrakech. The bar is fairly busy, due to many guests like us who came to watch the F1 Qatar race, friendly and chatty. The popular area of Souk Waqif is 15 mins walk and the Qatar National Museum about 10 mins. The metro is next to Museum and very easy to use to get by. Taxis are cheap, as is Uber rides. In summary great hotel, in great location, with genuinely friendly atmosphere and service. Would stay here again.

Very nice hotel

Awesome staff, very helpful. Nice room and hot water. Internet wasn’t top notch and the smell of cigarette smoke throughout was the only down side to this beautiful hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

The room wasn’t so big the television was not clear the properties not complete and the clean of plates and glasses not well

short stay

3 night stay in Qatar on return from Far East - interior is great as are the staff. However externally it needs maintenance and this lets the hotel down - pool area particularly needs work

Stayed for 6 nights, great staff all round. Very polite and respectful. Only downside was i wasnt offered my usual room upgrade as a gold member.

The staff is incredible from the ladies at the front desk, ladies in the back office the restaurant, the cleaning staff, The gentleman at the front door ! you could not ask for a nicer group of people they make them stay there worthwhile.

I am happy, but I didn’t like the swimming pool area

Property is near the airport and easy to get Uber when ever and wherever you want to go. Staff are kind and helpful. The hotel is worn out and can do some renovations.

Had a good stay at movenpick. Firstly i will start with the good points Service waa really good especially at brekfast they couldjt do enough. Housekeeping also very friendly and cleans very well. Pool and jacuzzi kept clean. The pool is blocked from the sun due to the high buildings however it is slightly heated and my daughter really enjoyed it. The hotel is in a very good location. Not much within walking distance but we had a rental and everything was nearby and easy to get too and there was a petrol station next to the hotel The not so good bits that id improved can make the stay excellent. Parking is limited so if you get back late you will struggle to find a spot however the hotel does offer valet parking if this is the case We had half board included however the dinner was not to our liking. There was seafood night for 2 nights we are not seafood people so we had to go out and buy our own dinner as they would not give us any other options. The thirs night was a 5 dish buffet again food not to our liking so we had to go make our own arrangements so by the 4th night we had given up and did not dine at the hotel. Breakfast buffet there was plenty of options but the food was always very very cold or lukewarm. The buffet burners seem to be switched off so the food was not kept warm Genenral hotel appearance - the rooms were clean but could do with some new carpet bit of paint and just general maintenance. But was clean. Would i stay again - yes -

I can not fault this hotel at all. I read reviews before going and it was mixed but now being there for 10 days I can truly say they were probably due to the personal characteristics not this hotel because from the staff to the facilities to the area it was outstanding. The staff were so helpful I was travelling with my family , me, husband , baby and child plus grandparent and all our needs were met. My daughter was treated very kindly and she became very fond of the staff (she was quiet upset when we left) the are is wonderful if you have children because so many thing are a walking distance. The metro is a 10min walk from the hotel that is roughly £2 per person for whole day travel and you can travel to all the importance places and beaches not needing a cab at all. The Islamic muslim, national muslim, shops restaurants are all max 10-20min walk from hotel. I could call reception at hotel for anything and it wasn’t a bother. The breakfast was great options and even things that were out in morning when asked was made for us , ranjeet made sure my daughter had something to eat in the morning and would give her options and have it made for her . Definitely enjoyed our stay only negative would be the evening meals wish there was more variety .

The Hotel was in easy reach of the airport and some of the attractions. The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was also very good.

Didn't like this hotel at all.

I like that it was located in the Al Corniche area, central to most tourist attractions and site I visited in Doha. The staff were cordial and professional. They responded quickly to any requests for help - especially Juneda and Nicole at the front desk who always responded with a smile.

A little dated but perfect hotel for a couple nights. Would recommend.

Hotel is old and shabby, it needs proper upgrade, the staff especially at the check in are unnecessarily slow.

Good choice of hotel close to the action

Easy and friendly check-in despite arriving in the wee hours of the morning and upgraded - big bonus. Bed really comfortable and choice of pillows. Large room. Excellent buffet. One word of warning - wine is very expensive. Very close to museums and very friendly staff.

Upon arrival the front desk receptionist told me that I had a room with 1 bed and no breakfast included. I became immediately stressed and had to show proof of my booking to confirm that I had actually paid more to have a room with 2 separate beds and breakfast included. She walked away, returned and told me “we have given you a free upgrade”!.. how was this a free upgrade when I had in fact already paid extra for this? Whenever we called the hotel services, (i.e. room service or housekeeping), the phone was never answered. We would then call the front desk, but still nothing was done. Only the cleaning crew and the staff on the doors were actually polite, respectful and extremely helpful. The breakfast menu was extremely disappointing. We had booked Movenpick based on our previous experience at Dubai Movenpick - this was a mistake!! This Movenpick that we stayed at in Corniche Doha did not have Movenpick ice cream!! When we asked the front desk for Movenpick ice cream, he was confused and he asked us what Movenpick ice cream was!!.. he then called through the restaurant and they confirmed they do not serve Movenpick ice cream! When checking out, the man on the front desk asked if we enjoyed our stay.. I didn’t know how to respond, so I stopped to think, in the meantime, he mumbled to front desk woman beside him in Hindi “these are the free upgrade lot yes?”.. to which she then replied in Hindi “yeah it is” this was rude and out of order!! We walked away in disbelief!!!

Any thing is good

A wonderful hotel with excellent staff. The hotel is very well maintained and super clean. The bedroom was huge and again bathroom was immaculate. It is well situated and close to some of Dohas landmarks. The pool is a nice quiet area and has facilities of spa too. I really cannot fault this hotel as it exceeded all the expectations. I must give a mention to housekeeping staff Shifa who was just brilliant!! Overall I would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone thinking about it to not hesitate.

Pleasant and Peaceful

Staff was friendly and helpful from collecting me from the Uber all the way through check-in and up to my very spacious room!

It was an excellent stay. Staff were wonderful and really made things as comfortable as possible. Anything I brought to their attention they fixed and the breakfast was great. If you want access to the sun, make sure you get to the pool early as the tall buildings block the sun at 2pm.

Really nice hotel and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Shiva was really helpful, told us about places to visit and the best way to get there. The food was really nice, alot of variety at breakfast and also the buffet for the Italian night and seafood night was amazing with so much to choose from. The room was very spacious and clean. Excellent location, near the airport about 13 mins drive, would recommend downloading the Karwa taxi app to get around, much cheaper than uber. Souq Waqif and Museum of Islamic Art were about a 15 min walk and National Museum of Qatar was about a 5 min walk from the hotel. Petrol station across the road where you can get snacks, ice cream, drinks etc which was convenient. Highly recommended.

The hotel is near the airport and around the corner from the national museum. So the location is good. However, it appears to be an old hotel and needs renovation. We also checked in late in the early morning hours with a kid and asked for a late checkout. Our request was denied and we were asked to pay a late check out fee to stay until 6pm. I understand the standard check in and check out rules apply. But they could have allowed us an extra hour or two until 7-8pm considering (a) I am a member of Accor; (b) we paid for the late check out until 6pm; (c) we checked in the same day in the morning and didn’t even stay overnight; (d) we were with a 6 year old kid transiting between very long flights; (e) the hotel did not seem to be busy at all. I will not book it again.

Enjoyed our trip, staff were friendly and helpful especially Ryan. Area was convenient to get to different attractions and rooms were good size. Good amenities available also.

Great location and a very reasonable price for the stay. Lovely hotel with a beautiful view from the room.

All was well above average. Location is good, close to Souq, old port etc. Metro stations are at least a 15 minute walk away. Room service was great.

Good location and friendly staff. Hotel could do with updating particularly the bathroom. Had all amenities in the room though no biscuits.

Bathroom water was orange Hinge on bathroom door had no screws Restaurant dinner returned as it was uncooked. Daytime reception staff unhelpful.
