Amazing Stay with Exceptional Service I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Abdihamid, who was especially kind and helpful. His warm hospitality made our stay even more memorable, and he truly exemplified the level of service this hotel strives to provide. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
Great
This property is great, the only reason I’d give it a 4 out of 5 is more for the location. Being in the clock tower and trying to get to your room and out of your room during prayer times or on jummah can take up to 30 minutes or more because of the rush of people. Also the sheer amount of people in and out of the mall when looking for diner or other busy times can become extremely overwhelming. I also think breakfast can be better, but other than that, great hotel, and great staff.
The hotel was great, but room a bit outdated
Too noisy, too cold, too crowded. Our room was bitter cold and there was no way to turn off the AC. Very disappointed. I even asked the staff and were not able to fix it. Toilet bidet was leaking constantly. Breakfast was less then average. Elevators were not all working. Clock tower is not what the hype is all about.
The staff were exceptional, the rooms superb, everything was accessible and would highly recommend.
I like their customer service, very friendly and responsive. I called at 3 am and requested some tea bags ,they delivered it quickly. Cleaning stsff very nice and friendly. Overall very clean and near to haram abd shopping. Will stay again.
Price they charge it’s not worth staying
Great experience.
Amazing
Loved our stay here. Location and view of haram was amazing. The staff were extraordinary.
Overall the hotel was nice, I didn’t like fact that the restaurants don’t consider 11 year old as a child. When we booked the room we included the breakfast for my 2 children 11 and 13 year old, however when we went to the restaurant I ended up paying the breakfast as an adult.
Not well kept hotel. There are no signs posted for hotel and reception is at the 11th floor with horrible elevator. Rooms are stale and dirty. Breakfast is one of the worst. I would recommend to stay at Hilton convention couple of blocks away. 100 times better and nice ambiance.
Everything was great.
Excellent staff and location.
All was perfect
Advertised a 2 people room for 4 people for a very high price. Showers are so tiny that you can't even lift your arm. The rooms don't have a microwave as the hotel only heats up that food for you which you buy from hotel. We bought food from outside, stored the left over in the fridge. Upon asking the hotel staff, they said they can arrange heating if the food was bought from movenpick ( what a joke). We had to chuck away the left overs. If you do a booking via Expedia, hotel offers little to no assistance in case you try to change your reservation. Both parties put it on each other. I or anyone i know will never ever stay at Movenpick Makkah. Plus, uber cars are also not available at Movenpick's pick up area.
I had to change rooms three times because of a mildew smell. The worst part about it was the receptionist acted as if it was my fault and suggested I get a room with 3 twin beds instead of 1 king as I booked.
Very nice hotel walking distance from Haram
We had a great experience with our recent stay. Very convenient location. Highly recommend.
No
Disappointing
Hotel is a bit tired. Food is below average. Does not deserve 5 star rating. Way overpriced for what it is, other than its location.
Good
Good location to Stay
Very close to Kaaba 🕋
Good hotel
The hotel is good the standard rooms are not very good if you want a comfortable stay you need to book a level above i had to change 3 times to get the room i wanted as 1st room was not clean and did not have facilities of a 5star which was disappointing. However staff did their best to recitfy this and moved me to a room that did. Lifts can take time and sometimes very busy. You have quick access to shops food clock tower. Breakfast could be better as not much variety. Staff was helpful
Greatest
It was a good experience. The staff was respectful and efficient
Good Location & Nice Place to Stay
Very nice hotel and good service
Amazing experience
No microwave, upon asking they said for eco-friendly reason can’t be provided. Also had key access issue in between, which required couple times back forth before they could send someone. Overall, great stay!
It’s a very good 5 star hotel. Very comfortable and quiet. Easy access to the food court. Inside the clock tower. Just be prepared to walk a bit and switching elevators, otherwise A hotel.
Shower is small but good
Clean and pleasant stay, service was fast and responsive. Everyone was helpful. Would recommend over other similarly priced hotels in the clock tower.
Breakfast can have room for improvement.
Amazing hotel. Very close to Masjid Al Haram entrance and inside the Clock Tower. Having the mall in the same building was very convenient.
Great hotel and good service
Facilities not of a 5 star hotel
Great Location
Excellent hotel
Excellent service Good location Good breakfast
I liked the fact that this was very close to the Haram BUT if you're coming from the train station then the bus is a very uphill 30-40min walk which is exhausting especially if you plan on doing Umrah straight after (like us). But I don't think there's any route available for a taxi either. We only had small bags so I can imagine this would be difficult for the elderly and those with big luggage. Location wise though once your in you have everything there in terms of dining and shops. The hotel lobby itself has ice cream and cake stalls too! The lift system can be a bit confusing though since there are so many lifts to take to even get in! We requested a part haram view and well all you could see from our room was construction...
Movenpick is the best one
Had a really good time
It is in the premises of Haram. Very convenient to go and say prayers and perform umrah.
Was nice
Amazing customer service
very nice
Excellent
very comfortable near to haram
Our stay was amazing, in the breakfast you can enjoy variety of food and bakery items. Our room on floor # 32 was recently renovated just like new.Staff at reception was very helpful with no language barrier. Speaks english well. Recommended for stay.
Great hotel definitely recommend to anyone, walking distance to gate 79 and in clock tower where you have all food courts and shopping access.
i like the proximity to the haram , and the staff were very friendly.
Excellent
Fabulous
I have booked a king-size bed suite for the family. I’ll cover in this review the location, the check-in process, the room and the facilities. The hotel is located inside the clock tower among many five stars hotel it’s right next to the holy mosque and technically the distance mentioned in the property is the steps you were gonna take inside the clock tower until you leave it and step into the holy mosque outside area The clock tower has so many stores over 600 the third and fourth floor are food courts. You can find any food you want the second floor has daycare they charge 69 Saudi riyal per hour the food court price are reasonable but if you want something cheaper little bit, you can just go to the software Tower, which is right next to Clocktower where you can find cheaper food and the cheaper gifts. The clock tower has brands and more expensive items, though in the fourth floor there is a huge hypermarket that has everything you want from food to gift. I didn’t try the parking, but the hotel access is very difficult. The police are limiting taxis to go into the tunnel. I found it hard to book right chair like Careem or Uber. They don’t pick up from the Clocktower something to keep in mind they would drop you off if you’re coming from outside, but the app will not allow you to book a trip while you are staying in the hotel. The check in process was very quick. I appreciate the efficiency. Also we borrowed a wheelchair to Omar. They gave it to us for free
Excellent stay
It is an excellent experience in everything
Good location but only consider this as 3-4 star hotel. Lower your expectation.
This hotel needs some serious upgrading of the rooms especially for the price they’re charging. I know it’s due to the location but there are other hotels in the same tower that have much better facilities and are far more modern than the Movenpick.
Very nice
Very good
Amazing Could not have picked a better location
Thank you
الفندق جميل والخدمه رائعه ولكن الافطار ينقصه التنوع قليله الانواع
Stayed at the above hotel last week. Brilliant service from check in to check out. Duty manager was extremely helpful. Housekeeping staff were fantastic. Restaurant staff were friendly and attentive- always ready to help. The hotel staff could not do enough to make sure that we were comfortable and well looked after. Best location for Haram access. Would highly recommend and definitely look forward to visiting soon again.
Great location & facilities. Rooms need a light refurb
They should have updated led they still have plasma tv and should add more amenities and more cleaner
you will find all you need when you visit the haram.
Great location near Haram
Great location walking distance from Masjid al-Haram in the clock tower. Entrance is within the clock tower towards the east side, look for the Movenpick signs by the elevators. Hotel itself is very comfortable and included multiple lounge areas for resting, and a great selection for the breakfast buffet. I really appreciated the blackout curtains as well!
Welcome stay
It was amazing and welcoming. The service was phenomenal. I recommend
Very Good
Very Close to Haram.Very good Hotel to stay for Umrah or Haj
Staff is not worth the price
Great
Was pleasant ,very nice cleaning guy he did his job well done
Close to the mosque Walkable distance
The hotel need renovation ASAP
I enjoyed my stay at Movenpick. This is a lovely hotel, with friendly staff, and delicious food, clean rooms, and superb service overall. I had a problem with the wifi service during my stay and as soon as I informed reception, the manager Nawwaf immediately found us a new room, and we were transferred without any hassle. Moreover, even with sometimes belligerent guests, the staff is always calm and patient. I love this hotel and cant wait to stay there during my next trip to Mecca.
Took delivery of the room late. Over all beautiful location but for nothing over the top wow
Make my omrh easy
Very Very Lousy Check In Experiance
Great location, fantastic breakfast and excellent service. Only problem is lot of delay in getting your ride to come to the hotel due to their paperwork.
Thank you
Worst Mövenpick experience
Hotel room is too old, service was bad and slow.
Everything was perfect. Room so comfortable excellent sound isolation even the AC sound is so low. Beds are comfortable . Location is amazing. Breakfast was nice but it should include more options
Well organized
Omra visit
Not 5 star at all
Breakfast was dreadful, it was more for the Asian people with cuisine suited to them.. no toaster or sliced bread. I paid £700 per night and thr overall room and breakfast was well below what was expected.
Great stay
Great stay, but the hotel needs update furniture and bathroom
amazing frindly staff on check in and out
Hotel service was good
I couldn’t believe it’s 5stars hotel
I stayed 9 nights ,free breakfast Three restaurants save same old same old food everyday, the food basically suits Malaysian guest ( Rice and curry for breakfast) may be majority of the guests from that region, docent mean we also eat the same food , never had any choice, all fruits from old can fruits ( 5star hotel?) big disappointment
Very friendly & welcoming staff from the minute you arrive. The staff in the breakfast hall was very friendly. We were very fortunate to have a server by the name of Mujeeb who went above and beyond to meet our needs
The room smelled and we found some cockroaches
I didn’t like the view
It was nice stay but early check in was not allowed, which to be considered especially for senior citizen
A/c problem was not fixed either it get too cold or too hot
Very spacious, clean and well equipped room. We had a twin room, living area and two bathrooms. All very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the housekeeping was excellent and attentive. Very close to the Haram mashalla to do Umrah.
The worst check-in experience and unhelpful staff. We reached the property after a long day of traveling just in time for umrah before isha. The person behind the desk informed me that my reservation has been canceled and asked me to step aside while they help another customer. After standing in line 3 times while on phone with Expedia for more than an hour, no luck. Hotel said Expedia cancelled whereas Expedia said it is still valid and they are trying to reach hotel’s reservation desk to confirm but they are not picking up. After two hours of try, I gave up and walked to another hotel and checked in there. Avoid if possible. One person behind the counter said the staff was being lazy today and do not want to work.
Excellent
It was really amazing all the stuff at front desk are very cooperative in every issue with a smile I ve been upgraded by the deputy manager i dont know his name but all of the them are extremely good Thank you movenpick hager for this comfortable stay
I booked for 3 people the room was for two no bed for 3 one bed for 2 I complained the first night they came knocking on the door 3 am while everyone was asleep I told the manager she told me you didn't call again they expect you to remind them to give you what you payed for

Liked the convenience of the property to Masjid Haram, however the room was really small for 4 beds and the walls were so thin I could hear the next door rooms phone alarm.
