Nice stay short walk to sea front. Only thing lacking for me aircon just a fan available

It was ok - if the weather was warmer would be concerned about no ac. Location though not right in main town was easy to get around and only a short walk (5 minutes) to main area.

The Manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The Motel was in easy walking distance to the Russell shops and wharf so we could just leave our car parked there. My Granddaughter loved the swimming pool. The only minor issue was the wardrobe was quite narrow so the clothes had to go in on an angle, but it wasn't that big of a problem as they could still hang up. We would definitely go back to stay there.

Quite adequate mid-range basic motel, clean and quiet but a bit far from the centre of the town without a car. No info on how to operate TV and no aircon, nor use of pool. Cooking facilities good and comfortable bed.

We stayed for a couple of nights at Russell Motel. The accommodation was small but very cutely furnished with comfy beds and everything else that we needed. The hosts were so friendly and kind. Didnt feel like i met them for the first time. There is a small pool that is realh cute and the girls had a dip, although it was a cold day. The location is very close to everything you need. Would love to go there again considering that my fur baby was also welcome and they kindly offered to sit her while we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant. Thanks fo everything James and family

Swimming pool

Disappointing

Fairly tired old motel with no view and no air-conditioning. Advertised as having Sky but no channels available. Reasonable distance from any restaurants and bars and not particularly good value for money. Only thing that sticks in my mind is reading in the compendium that the room rate doesn't include them doing your dishes?? Not sure how that rates with a covid clean between guests?

Great stay.

We were in Russell for our wedding anniversary and it was our 4th time staying in the Russell Motel. Friendly greeting when we arrived escorted to our room it was just a great experience overall.

Nice tidy spacious room. Nice pool and gardens. Very relaxed accommodation with just a short walk into Russell.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We were in a king studio which was lovely and spacious and clean. Only a few minutes walk into Russell township and was nice to have a swim.

I loved the space. Usually get quite cold but the bedding was cosy enough for me. Also cool that the body wash and shampoo is in the shower.

We had a unit that was downstairs and at the back which gave us privacy and was quiet. This property was in an excellent position for the places we needed to go and is only a short walk into town.

Motel Russell is a friendly, comfortable place. The kitchen is fairly well equipped. It is a short walk into the village.

Close to everything

nice welcome when we arrived, the room was clean and very tidy. Well catered with cooking equipment and cutlery , nice beds & hot showers. Perfect after a long day at the beach. We only stayed one night but would definitely go back and stay again. 2 minutes from the town center thank you for our stay

2 night stay. Good location, walking distance to waterfront. Roomy, clean, well appointed unit. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed just a little too soft for our old backs, but otherwise a fine stay. Excellent value overall.

Fantastic pool

Great location, easy walk to beach and shops. The bed was hard and sagged in the middle so we did not have a good sleep.

Second time we have stayed here. Clean, convenient, quiet, plus it has a nice swimming pool. Pity that there is no frame to dry the wet togs!. And no where to sit outside that wasn't part of a corridor to other units.

Great Holiday in Russell

Great room , near enough to the centre of town to walk . Lovely large bed . We had a great holiday in Russell . I would highly recommend the Motel Russell. A small improvement to our room would have been a small wardrobe . Once again thank you for being a part of a great holiday.

Very small but okay stay

Good hot day, room was clean and basic amenities were there. Very small room with no air conditioning so it was very hot that we couldn’t sit inside and had to open the door right through. Being on main road there were quite a bit traffic noise too. Owner was happy and supportive. Nice town.

Fantastic Motel, comfortable beds crisp linen, very quiet and close to where all the action is, shops and restaurant. Will come again.

Good location for a short stay

Accommodation was ok, but could do with a bit of an update. Tv reception not good, but we weren’t in the room very long at all.

walking distance to Russell wharf and main area

just stayed one night for a sports event. Easy walk to town and facilities. Off street parking out the front of our unit. We had a studio room- which was all we needed. Décor a bit dated but the unit was spotlessly clean.We did not use the pool. Friendly staff .

This motel is great value. The owners were totally lovely. The room was clean but the bathroom was a bit dirty and not cleaned properly. Great stay tho.

Convenient for town centre - easy walk.

Placement

It is a shame that they seemed to want to fill up the part of the Motel closest to the road first which gave us a rather noisy stay.

Close to beaches and restaurants

Overall very nice place to stay. Room were clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was the hot water in the morning. After my wife and kid had shower, hot water stopped and when we checked at the reception, we were told that the tank capacity was limited and we have used the capacity and will take few hours to reheat. So,spent the day without shower. Overall nice play to stay.

Spotless and spacious.

This motel was a real surprise. On checking in we had been upgraded from our original booking. Our unit comprised of a comfortable spacious living and kitchen area equipped with everything one would need. The bathroom also was larger than most and like the rest of the unit was in spotless presentation. The bed was very comfortable and having laundry facilities was a bonus. The hosts were also nice.

The wifi didn't work at night and the tv kept turning off along with the heater

We stayed in unit 1. It has just been renovated nicely and was perfect for our family with young kids. We would definitely recommend this motel.

Relaxing in Russell

Very relaxing stay, hanging around the salt water pool and the room was a well equipped apartment.

Room was very clean & comfortable. A great location for the town of Russell.

Room was small but adequate for two people for a short stay. The shower area is in a very awkward place in the bathroom. It does not have a shower base and shower screen (it has a shower curtain on tiled floor) that faces the entry to the bathroom. Opine that is not the best location for a shower area as the floor gets wet after a shower and we have to walk on the wet floor to get to the toilet and wash basin. Motel location was ideal for us and conveniently located to the Russell Night walk and the local shops and cafe.

We found the hosts very polite and helpful. The Motel was very clean and quiet. Would recommend it too others.

Motel was nice and clean but a little dated, especially the cooker. Unfortunately we could hear the guests in the room above us urinating!

Our motel room had a separate bedroom, large bathroom and large lounge. Very clean and quiet. Excellent value for money!

We booked at the last minute and the studio room proved to be just perfect for a one-night getaway. Bed was comfortable, room was lovely and clean and excellent bathroom space. Only 5 minutes walk to the shops/restaurants of Russell. We would definitely stay here again.
