Easy, clean and I'd definitely stay again

Good clean rooms with a bit more style than a typical hotel and and easy central location. Like many hotels with smaller rooms, there's no real wardrobe or place to unpack, but a few places to hang things and a stand for one piece of luggage.

Great, centrally-located hotel. I booked as a layover to check out the Christmas markets between two other cities and I wish I had stayed longer! This hotel was cheap and excellent.

Good and bad location

The hotel is in a good and bad location. It’s close to the city by foot. Many shops and restaurants but the noise is bad. All the even rooms (410 was our room) are facing the loudest road. We had to close our window both nights. It is hard to sleep in the room because of this.

Great location. The building AC is either heated or all AC. So on a warmer day when the building is on heat made it very uncomfortable in the room. I talked to the front desk and they had nothing to help us with. We opened the window and listened to the city all night as there was no breeze. Would recommend this place except in spring and fall when the weather changes.

Enjoyed our stay at Motel One. The room was a nive size and staff was overall helpful and attentive.

Centrally located hotel near Hauptbahnhof. My room was quite small! With no mini-fridge. Very "German" breakfast buffet. Warm milk for cereal warm yogurt. Not for North Americans tastes.

The hotel is conveniently located near the central train station, right in the heart of the city. The surrounding area is quite pleasant. The room was tidy and comfortable.

Really great, modern hotel a stone's throw from the Köenigstraße👍. Staff & facilities are very good. But I'm a long trip traveler and even the largest room available was very tight. I'm used to space, mini fridge, and more room amenities. But others with less need for space will love it.

A pleasant interlude.

Very pleasant, central to Stuttgart and the atmosphere is very relaxing. A kettle in the room would be nice but that is because I am British and we love our tea.

Normal todo, good location, good breakfast.

Our room had a single comforter and a single towel. When we asked the guy at the front desk for additional ones, he stated that house keeping must have set it up as a single instead of a double and he would send someone up with extras quickly. They never showed up and the rooms dont have phones to call the front desk to ask about the status of requests. I am striking this chain off of my places I will look at in the future.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the service was fantastic and the hotel is in a great location - very handy to shops and the Christmas markets. Everything was great except the WIFI, which was terrible.

Great hotel and perfect location

Close to main train station.

Overall the hotel was quite nice for our needs, close to the train station and all the sights we were interested in seeing all at an affordable price. For my comforts I wish there would have been an ice machine close to the room. Staff was welcoming and buffet was delicious and we'll worth the price. Room was a little small, but for 1-2 people and a short 1-2 days stay was perfectly fine. Market close by and plenty of dining options

This was a great place to stay. It was close to many things. The rooms were cozy and comfy. The staff were very friendly and courteous.

The location we actually booked was either under renovation or hadn't been finished being built yet, but they didn't tell us until we arrived and gave us a map to our actual hotel. There was only one shower towel in the room, and the blanket was barely big enough for one person (which we didn't notice until late) even though it was a queen size bed. Plus it sounded like the room next to us was running a hair dryer at max all night long.

Great location, close to train station.

Good but….

The pastries and coffee were a delicious and pleasant surprise. We would have had no complaints but….on the Friday, a very large number of athletes checked in. At the same time, the hotel blocked off one of the two elevators due to construction. More than once, we stood in line ten minutes or more to get on the elevator. Very very poor planning on the part of the hotel!

Good but intermittent wi-fi

Excellent location and a nice atmosphere with a large lounge. Good continental breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom were small but ok, and very clean. The only issue was that the wi-fi was very intermittent in my third floor room, which was a nuisance as I needed both to do some work, and to watch some streaming content for entertainment. The management should get this sorted out.

Modern and clean hotel near the main station

Hotel is very convenient to the train station and S-Bahn to the airport is literally right by the hotel. The room was pretty new and nice, Hotel was also very quiet. The lobby is nice to hang out as is the outdoors courtyard. The only thing that would be nice to improve is the internet. The Wi-Fi got disconnected every couple of minutes. That said I would stay here again as the price is reasonable for what you get.

If you are a minority - don’t booked not worth it

Was treated differently as person of colour! Only when I spoke German instead of English, attitude changed. It says there is a in room safe - that wrong. Rooms tinny, desk tinny, no fridge, broken sink - complained and nothing done about it! Blanket - very tun asked for bigger one - didn’t get a reply! very noise when you open the windows, no 2nd curtain, which means once you open the curtains everyone In the office complex across can see you naked! The so called outside space is closed after 10pm and gentlemen at the bar is not the nicest person in that hotel. It took 20mins for the guy at the desk to even take my questions re the save or where I can leave my laptop! As per booking confirmation, he looked at me funny as if am lying and then saying it’s an old hotel and MAYBE the new once have it??!! We arrived after 9pm and left before 7am - couldn’t sleep cause of loud air-con and windows not an open cause what explained before. We booked JAZ hotel, also central, great people and room twice as bit with all extras AND same price!!!!

Functional and souless

Rather a souless place. Typical business in and out stay. Facilities in the room are basic, sterile and functional. Good varied breakfast, but hardly any staff to guest communication. They may as well install robots to replace humans. I 've no actual complaints, I just personally I do not like these simply functional souless establishments.

The property is in a great location, easy walking to everything. However the rooms are small, a/c wasn’t working as they turn it off during winter which means you have to open window to cool off room and it is a very noisy area at night. Also no safe.

Bathroom in the lobby was a mess when we got in. The garbage was overflowing with paper. It wasn’t a pleasant sight for someone who just arrived.

Nice economy hotel close to the train station and the subway stop. Staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel and room were clean and modern. Room was small but had air conditioning and everything you needed. The hotel has a 24-hour bar with a friendly bartender and decent prices. Definitely, recommend for the price.

Convenient for the railway station. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Beds were comfortable. The shower is efficient. The bathroom is small. Little room to set out toiletries. The only waste bin is in the bathroom. Two short hanging rails,. Small amount of wooden hangers. Reception willl provide extra wire ones.A few shelves. No wardrobe. No bedside tables. One modern chair with a low back. One round furniture item at the small desk. At night cruising cars doing "wheelies" make excessive noise until the early hours. Appears to be designed to get the optimum number of bedrooms into the building. As a couple we felt cramped. An example of design over comfort. We were there for three nights I would not have wished to stay longer..

Economical and convenient by the Bahnhof

The Motel One was my choice for a one-night stay on Stuttgart. I needed to be close to the train station to catch a morning flight, and also wanted to use my limited time to see a few more attractions in the city. What was great about the motel was that the escalator to the underground passage system is right outside the front door - makes it easy if you have luggage as well as to get to the Schlossgarten and other attractions. The room is basic but what it does it does well - comfortable bed, functional climate control, great shower. If I were staying a week, maybe this might not be the right place, but for short stays it was perfect.

Hotel is in a good location with shops, restaurants and transport all within walking distance. The hotel is new and well furnished, although the rooms are fairly small. Breakfast choice is good at and additional charge.

The hotel is centrally located to the main shopping area and close to restaurants. It is also 5min walk to the main train station. Hotel in general is clean and nice but don't expect much from the receptionists when it comes to directions or tourist questions. Receptionists were concentrating on paperwork and others stuff instead to pay attention to guest staying at the hotel. I found very rude to be ignore and told to go to the tourist information point for advise. If the receptionists staff were to pay more attention to guest and perhaps receive a customer service training this place could be much better.

Nice hotel that is close to almost everything

We spent 7 nights at the hotel. It was much better than we had expected. Although the room was small, it was comfortable, clean, quiet and has A/C! It was very hot the week we were there.

Clean, modern hotel

Not the typical "motel" we are used to in the US. This is a first rate hotel near wonderful restaurants & shopping. Great small shops nearby or a brand new huge mall a short walk past the train station. Staff allowed me to store my bags after I checked out so I could sight see with ease. Would stay here again. Also, the breakfast was first rate.

Great location and service. The room AC blows cold! Rooms are small but comfortable and quiet. I was facing the street on the 1st floor and didnt even hear the street at night. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Parking around the corner in a garage for 14euro/day. Also pretty close to train station (5-8 min walk) and main town square and shopping. Great price.

The hotel is literally 5 minutes walking distance from the train station. It is located in a great place and has great restaurants nearby. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is super clean,neat and tidy. The only complaint I have is they do not have phones in their rooms and the bathrooms are cramped up..

The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, making access from and to the airport very easy. The staff is very polite and friendly. The rooms are small, but we only stayed for one night so that didn't bother us. Had we big suitcases with us, there wouldn't be any space to walk around the room though.

cornflakes chaos

Great location for station and short walk to centre. Rooms small but very clean and comfortable. Ideal for short stays as no wardrobe space.There is No safe in the room or no tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast items ok except the ' bio cornflakes.taste like cardboard! no real cornflakes available when I asked. Breakfast is chaos at the weekend , not enough seats and staff struggle to cope replenishing breakfast items so you are hanging around.

Nicely located hotel.

The hotel is at mere walking distance to main train station and right next to the subway station and these two reasons make it perfect choice. The hotel is pretty new and very well maintained. The rooms are average size with basic amenities, no coffee machine or water bottles. Overall I loved the stay and would stay in the same hotel if i m in the area.

Great location, new hotel

Despite it's lame name, the Motel One is a very sleek and modern hotel. Very new, minimalist but comfortable. They had cheap breakfast as well for 7 euro but I didn't partake. Staff spoke english very well and were helpful. Only issue was the Wifi signal dropped quite a bit and a little refrigerator would have been nice. But for the price and being on the doorstep of the Main train station and opposite the galleria mall and other shops; i would definitely return.

Would stay again - perfectly located!

Lovely hotel in a perfect location within sight of the Hauptbahnhof and metres from the main shopping street. We were in Stuttgart for the Christmas markets and it was perfectly located for making use of the city centre, but also for taking the train to the Mercedes and Porsche museums. Modern, clean and very accommodating staff. Cot already art up in the room for us. Only issue was that room wasn't cleaned early enough in the day, so when I took our 1 yr old daughter back for a nap at 4pm the cleaning staff wanted to do the room then so I had to send them away.

What a surprise

I booked this hotel based on its location to the main railway station and the room price. I was totally impressed with the whole experience of my stay there. There was not one thing I could fault maybe if I had to there is a lack storage space but as I travel with a backpack it was of no concern for me. The staff were excellent and compliment this very modern and stylish hotel pity more weren't like this one.

Conveniently located with free wifi

Motel One is very close to Stuttgart Hbf and right next to a SBahn station. This made it extremely convenient for us to get onto trains to the Porsche and Mercedes Museum. Staff were very professional and service oriented. Free wifi with as many accounts as you wish (for as many devices you have) is a great big plus. Only downside is that rooms are rather small. Its probably more suitable for couples and business travelers than families.
