The hotel was very pleasant. Decent sized room, good shower and comfortable bed. Staff always pleasant when spoken with. Location is perfect for exploring the city, with ample options for dining etc nearby.
Stay at this hotel every-time I come to Copenhagen, as it is clean / lovely and perfect location for shopping etc… very reasonable price for such a nice hotel.
It was a nice experience overall. Lucia the bartender downstairs was very nice and kind. She was always welcoming us with a nice smile asking how are we doing and making sure we are having a good time
Great stay, easy check-in. Location was perfect I walked everywhere. I will be staying here again.
The towels were of very poor quality. The room was very small. The check in staff were not particularly helpful.
The tv doesn’t have channels and you have to have chrome cast app and do it that way. Unfortunately our phones didn’t work as the remote (maybe an old phone) so it was a v quiet bedroom!
Lovely hotel beautiful beds
Shower access is difficult, hair dryer is old, elevators were slow. Room was amazing and comfortable, bed was great and the view of city hall was beautiful!! Most of all was the friendly staff and the location (close to metro, tivoli gardens and museums). Thanks for a lovely stay!!!
Gréât location
Very friendly staff. Great location. Yea coffee making facilities or bottle of water missing in the room
Very convenient. Cozy, well designed rooms.
Staff is amazing very ckean greal location
Good quality
Great quality room, approachable and helpful staff, comfortable bed.
Room already occupied by another
Clean large room, just did not feel safe having been given a key card to someone else’s room wen I checked in late that evening and there was someone already in the room sleeping,! As a woman who travels on her own the thought that this could easily happen annoyed and scared me. Due to this when in my room I would block the door with my suitcase and a stool. To be told oops sorry for the mistake not good enough
A great base for exploring the city
We stayed 4 days at the grand Joanna when we first arrived and choose this hotel Motel One to come to for 5 days after traveling around Jutland. It had the same rating and was priced similar $313 USD a night. For that money I do not expect to have to sit with a breakfast plate on my lap in the lobby because the seating is not adequate. The room was not cleaned automatically and getting a new set of towels happened only after multiple requests. This to me is a 3 star hotel not a 4. At the Grand Joanne you could reserve your time for breakfast and could choose an item from the menu beside the breakfast bar. The breakfast bar at Motel One was ok but way too busy. We are an elderly couple and in the end concluded that although the location was very good, the whole experience at the Grand Joanne so far exceeded from Motel One that we will never stay at Motel One again. The staff at the check in was nice but the check in is part of the Lobby Bar. Too me they are cutting corners everywhere. Disappointed for the price they charge.
A nice and clean hotel in a very convenient location based centrally with easy access to bars, restaurants and some key attractions. Room was clean and well maintained. Only missing thing is there were no safety lockers in the room.
Staff wonderful and very helpful. Location good. No washcloths, hair conditioner,or lotion. TV could only be streamed with your phone And you needed to have streaming channel on your phone. Room face the street so very noisy with cars and people talking and church bells ringing every quarter hour.
Amazing hotel! Stylish, spotless and friendly! A wonderful welcome to Copenhagen.
Small room barebones
Perfect location. Easy to walk everywhere we needed and close to the central train station. Nice room with a large bathroom and very friendly staff.
Everyone at reception was friendly and helpful, but that was only positive thing. Got a room facing street with bars downstairs, extremely noisy until early morning, 0 hour of sleep on my first night there. Switched to a different room, where you could hear the nearby bell tower ringing very loud every 15 minutes from 8am to midnight. (Probably a problem for most hotels in the area though) Very soft mattress; almost no storage space in room, no desk, chair, or even a nightstand in my second room. Overall very uncomfortable room and bed, and impossible to sleep outside midnight - 8am.
Loved the location. Walking to tivoli gardens and the zoo
Motel One gets a 10
Excellent location, friendly staff and super helpful when needed.
Good location
Good location
I recommend This hotel good staff
Great place to stay! Complimentary tea and coffee would be nice but it was still wonderful.
Great location, service
Great location for easy access to city centre and train station. The hotel bedroom was very good. Staff were always friendly and helpful.
The staff were the highlight. Professional all the way
Great location in centre of Copenhagen. Small room but very comfortable. 9 Nice areas to wait or relax near reception. No kettle in room but reception can give you a cup of hot water.
Very noisy until 300am. Rooms hot and unable to open window due to noise. $24usd extra for buffet. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms have opening so can hear everything.
The staff at this property is amazing and extremely helpful - they made my stay extra special
Great location!
Very Nice, Central, well-priced option in CPH
Very good and convenient location. Comfortable room and environment. The only small issue was soundproofing to outside. There is an irish bar next to the hotel and I did have trouble sleeping one night because of the outside noise from the smokers. This isn't the fault of the hotel though. Suggest bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me.
Comfortable and good value for money
I just needed a roof over my head but the room was very comfortable. It is a budget hotel so it didn't have everything that more expensive ones do but I didn't want those extras anyway. The staff were very pleasant and all spoke very good English which was good for me because I don't speak Danish.
Just right for us
We were only at the Motel One for1 night, but it was perfect for us. We were in a great location with many restaurants. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a great breakfast too. We look forward to returning to Copenhagen and the Motel One in the future.
Good stay good vibes
Good stay. We got a king bed room but the bed seemed the same size to our friends despite us paying more for a bigger bed. Other than that no complaints friendly staff and good vibes
I arrived late but there was a friendly face to check me in, my room was cosy (normal for Copenhagen) but really nicely decorated. The shower was great, the bed SO comfy, I slept brilliantly. I didn’t have breakfast as there was a Starbucks 5 min walk away. Would definitely go back.
The staff were very accommodating, even when I was only staying one night. I had a smaller room as I booked and it was more than enough. Hair dryers provided and attentive staff. Great hotel.
Great property for exploring Copenhagen.
Clean rooms and friendly service
Extremely clean and room and hotel. Beautiful bar snd lounge area. A couple of hiccups- Gould not get internet on my nap too and they could not resolve it. The bathtub is a little dicey. You have to climb a pretty steep step and then still step over and then down into what becomes a very slippery site. Need a rubber matt and more railings . Worth paying for the breakfast. Great assortment of coffee, yogurt, juices, eggs and even ginger shots .I wish they also offered lunch and dinner but they only have snacks beyond that. All glitches were handled gracefully with friendly customer service. Nice central location.
Fantastic
Wonderful stay at Motel One. The reception desk staff and breakfast room staff are great. Smiling and helpful. Our room was nice with a very comfortable bed and nice shower. The add-on breakfast service is super. A large variety, fresh made entrees, basically everything that you would want. The hotel is in the perfect location in Copenhagen. I highly recommend Motel One.
Absolutely great in every respect.
Good location
Great Location, OK Hotel
The hotel is clean and modern, but the room is not nearly as comfortable as one would like when spending more than a single night. We paid extra for a larger room, but it was still pretty small with a small bathroom and a lot of space lost on a useless entryway. There were no chairs or desk or table. Making working and eating in the room almost impossible.
Staff was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful. Close to the National Museum of Denmark.
Great location, easy walk from central station, close to lots of good eateries, shops, canals etc. However, as booking isn't available until 3pm, there was a long queue and only 2 staff on to checkin, suggest avoid checking in near 3pm!!!! However, there is a secure room where you can store luggage for several hours at no charge. Will definitely stay again, but advise king size bed, as small doubles have the bed against the wall and not as comfortable a room. Has everything you need, very clean.
Great location and efficient hotel. Some minor things could be better but overall great stay - good staff , nice rooms, clean and great locations !!
Hope to return next trip to Copenhagen
This is a really wonderful hotel in a great location. Very clean stylish and friendly!
go
Great property. Very close to Radhuisplatz. There is a bar just down from property that can get a little noisy. But hey, it’s a bar. Staff excellent and very accommodating
Wonderful stay. Amazing location
Very nice place. Clean, employees very helpful and nice. Fan was not working in room.
I've stayed here a few times now, and it's a nice hotel. No frills, but the rooms are always clean, nicely decorated and comfy beds. I really can't fault the place.
Fabulous location
Modern hotel with very friendly staff and in an excellent location.
very friendly staff, excellent location
Excellent hotel very central couldn’t fault it.
I had to change my room thrice because either the heating was not working or the wi-fi was not.. the worst thing was that the rooms don’t have phones so it was a trip down to the reception every time..
Great location and wonderful staff, but felt the room was too small for a couple. Would be good for a solo traveler.
The motel is in a great area with access to Tivoli, museums, and plenty of shopping and dining options.
Great location, lovely staff. Felt friendly and safe. We only wish they were able to help us with the VAT tax (non- EU resident tax refund).
Good budget hotel
Motel One are generally at the top end of budget hotels, and the Copenhagen branch reflects that. The room we stayed in was clean and modern, the bed was comfortable, and the shower a pleasure to use. Downstairs, the staff were really helpful and friendly and there is a comfortable bar - although the hotel's location right in the heart of Copenhagen means there are plenty of good bars close by. We chose a slightly larger room as we stayed for a week and this was a good choice - a smaller room might have been a bit cramped - but a larger room really should have a desk and chair, which this did not. There were no coffee-making facilities in the room. The most serious problem was that there is no TV service in the room, not even local channels, let alone BBC World or CNN. There is a screen you can use to connect to your smartphone, if you have one, and stream via apps such as Netflix, if you are a subscriber, but the system was difficult to connect and often crashed. Nevertheless, this was the only major annoyance and, in any case, with the whole of Copenhagen outside we did not spend much time watching TV! On balance, then, this is a good budget hotel in an excellent location.
This property was great… definitely recommend. The staff was amazing and friendly! Beautiful cozy courtyard with tables and a bar to relax, tons of games in the lobby to enjoy. Rental bicycle located in the hotel courtyard easy to access through the front desk. Room was clean, recently renovated. No AC in the hotel, but they have a ceiling fan which was a plus. Centrally located close to everything. Nothing but great things to say of this property!
Great hotel location
Our room had a big beautiful bathroom. The king bed was comfortable. The location was good - very walkable to shopping and tourist sites. We bought the buffet breakfast and enjoyed it.
Can be more clean
The hotel is cute and nice but can be use a little more of cleaning. For instance the fan was so dusty that I needed to open the windows and not even thinking on turning it on.
It is very close to Tivoli but not on top so it was quiet. It could do with better lighting in the bathroom which was rather small. Overall service and cleanliness was very good.
Below average hotel wonderful staff
wonderful employees Very nice and friendly location is very good. Hotel outdated. Room very small. No phone in room. Fan does not work when you need it. Wifi very slow. There is a big clock next to the hotel that will ding all day and night every 15 min. Very hard to sleep because of it.
The desk staff especially Mard went the extra mile to help us whatever we needed. Friendly and efficient.
The hotel was super clean, very up to date and very well located BUT if you stay there make sure you get a room facing the court yard!!! NOT the street. Unfortunately we didn’t and there is a bar/tavern below us that was very loud and got really bad around closing time when people carried on on the street for a long time. Also directly across the street there is major renovations going on which was was very loud starting early in the morning. Waking up to concrete sawing was really bad and the street is narrow so it just as well been in our building. Would definitely stay here again but only if I was guaranteed a court yard room
Great property in a location convenient for dining and the sights of Copenhagen. Room spacious and comfortable. Pretty quiet with the windows shut for a busy area of town too. Staff super-helpful. Breakfast was nice, although like everything in Copenhagen a little pricey. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Easy-going
Good location and close to train .(4 min) easy to go to airport.
Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay. It might sound old fashoned but it would have been nice to have written menus for drinks and snacks and also a normal tv in the room. We do not have cromcast and hence we were not able to connect. I had wished to watch a bit of danish tv to practice the language.
Seem less and amazing!
Friendly staff and convenient to everything we wanted to see
Excellent stay!
My family and I stayed for 3 days last week and loved this place. It is centrally located, a walking distance from main attractions such as Tívoli park, Stroget, NvHavn and several museums The customer service is superb. The interior design style of the common areas and rooms is very vibrant and modern. They offer breakfast, which was very good, for an extra fee. Room’ tvs have a feature that allows to use Netflix from your own phone. Great experience!
Really good. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is within walking distance from the station and to central Copenhagen. I’d stay here again.
Great stay - perfect location
Great stay. Very comfortable and well appointed room. Great central location.
Great hotel, amazing staff, perfect location.
Great location, friendly staff, compact room
This was an awesome hotel if you don't mind a very compact room. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and nice linens, but tiny space with just a bed and bathroom (no desk or seating area). There is a big game table in the hotel lobby where guests can do work on their laptops. The hotel reception is the bar so you get checked in by the bartender! The hotel staff are young and super friendly. They really helped me out because I forgot my plug converter for Euro outlets. The receptionist had a brand new one for me to borrow or purchase, which I was so grateful for! Also, the breakfast is amazing with eggs, bacon, pancakes, pastries, bread, cheeses, fruit salad, etc. The room was very quiet but is in a perfect location just a five min walk from City Hall and the City Hall Metro stop. I would definitely stay here again!
Stylish hotel in great central location
Hotel is a great location - so very central for everything. It doesn’t look much from the outside but actually the interior is much better. The King bed room was a great size for two people so cannot fault that at all, bed really comfortable and good quality bedding and toiletries. Couple of downsides which stop me giving it a 10 - linking phone to TV is a faff if you’re not used to it - I just want to turn on and watch tv or listen to music without having to set it up on my phone. The shower is fantastic but water leaks under the shower door so just make sure the bath mat is there to soak it up. Also central location is fantastic but that does come with a bit of street noise from the nearby bars so if you’re a light sleeper you may want ear plugs. Would definitely recommend this hotel though and I would stay again
Highly recommended!
Great recently renovated hotel (I understood it’s been done during last year), I enjoyed my staying a lot! All staff at reception was extremely friendly and helpful; my room was exactly as on the pictures and super clean; I could only hear the church bell up to midnight but it wasn’t disturbing at all. Rooms don’t have a minibar however downstairs at reception you can get drinks, non and alcoholic. The spaces are rather small but it wasn’t an issue for me as it was very cozy. Also great location, few min away from the city hall. All in all, highly recommended!
Loved the. Bed and bedding! The staff was very friendlee and helpful. Would have been nice to have coffee in room or reception area.
Very impressed, would recommend
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady on the front desk and check in was smooth and efficient. The room itself was compact as we opted for the cheaper standard room but there was enough room for everything we needed, including a TV featuring chrome cast and storage space too. The bathroom had a modern, deluxe feel to it, complete with eco friendly toiletries in big refillable bottles. The room overall I was very impressed with. Being situated close to a church, you hear the bells ring on an hourly basis but these were no bother at all and quite pleasant infact. Complimentary breakfast provided a solid baseline for each day, leaving is full and ready for a full day of exploring the city, anything you would need for a breakfast was there including vegan options. We also tried out the bar on a Monday evening as most local bars seemed to have closed in the evening, plenty of options for a small bar, pricey but you get a decent sized amount of drink for what you pay for. In terms of location, the hotel was perfect, close enough to large attractions such a Tivoli to the left and Nyhavn to the right, passing many restaurants, bars and cafes on the way. An exceptionally lovely hotel I would certainly stay at again given the chance.
Cozy Flat in the heart of Copenhagen
The room was cozy and well kept! Everything was very clean and stylish! Hotel staff is amazing and helped to make sure everything was perfect for my sisters wedding stay! They went above and beyond! The location is perfect! We will be back!
Staff was very friendly, hotel was beautifully decorated and breakfast was delicious!
Room is basically a hovel. Super small and a fake bed that is essentially a futon.
Great friendly staff. Only thing spoiling a good night's sleep was the chiming of the Radhus bells.
Great location and service
The tv didn’t work, no safe and no fridge. They didn’t even offer a discount for breakfast or anything because of the inconvenience. Otherwise great location and I would stay there again. Breakfast area too small to handle all the people at breakfast
Room was very small - admittedly it was a cheap room but had I been Danish-sized I would not fit in the bed, which was wall to wall. The public areas are comfortable and very nicely designed. Staff courteous and helpful. Location is excellent and close to everything. It is undergoing renovations, literally outside my window, which nobody said anything about - I came into the room seeing the scaffolding and a mason working right outside my window - I think this should be pointed out in advance. The hotel in is a loud area with bars - on a Friday night the drunken shouting went on until 5:30am. This is not the hotels fault, but it is the hotels location.
Best location to explore the city. Super central, lots of amenities nearby. The hotel is beautiful on the inside, very stylish we decorated. The beds are incredibly comfortable. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back here and recommend to anybody
Beautiful lobby and rooms. Great location and recommendations from the staff for things to do near by such as restaurants, cafes, entertainment, sightseeing.
Love this hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They let me check in early as my room was already available, which was much appreciated after having to get up at 3 AM to catch my flight. The room I stayed in is stylish and clean, the bed super comfy and there’s pretty much everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. I will definitely come back here the next time I visit Copenhagen.
Was great stay!
Uncomfortable and overpriced hotel.
The hotel has a good central location. The young receptionists/bar attendants were always helpful and polite. But we have never stayed in such an uncomfortable and overpriced room in our many years of travel, and we are 72! Half of the area from our King bed to the bathroom were taken by a piece of useless furniture, frankly-piece of crap! Maybe it was an extra sleeping place for a child, but it was narrow and long, and not one time we bumped our legs on it! And so we had to eat our morning cereal on this bed - we did not need to pay 44 Euros for their breakfast, we did not need a big breakfast! And this overpriced room did not have the minimum amenities, that most hotels we stayed in for half or even 1/4 of the price had. We like to drink a cup of tea a few times a day - but we had to ride the elevator down from our 5th floor to get every time this cup of hot water. It seems for the price of this room they could put at least a small kettle? And at the end they charged around 10 Euros for this water!. How petty and chip! Why to not have a little electric kettle, so people could make their coffee or tea themselves if they want? And no a small bar/refrigerator to keep yogurt, milk, butter, etc.? This room did not even have a closet - just some small open hanger, and absolutely no shelves! It did not have a phone, and our request for a wake up call has been denied! The air-condition did not have a controller, it was running only on one setting. Bad stay overall!
Cozy stay- standard queen
I would have given all 5 stars except for a few things. First the good: friendly front desk staff and adorable room. THe bed was comfy and the breakfast was tasty. I was announced the tv had no channels and when I brought it up with the owner her response was just because they advertised a tv didn't mean they promised channels. I asked if the same could be said about the shower....no water? She asked me to provide photo proof that tv was advertised which was degrading. Even the staff member who came up to help admitted people have issues with this all the time. I also did not like having to connect my personal phone to everything to have access. The day of checkout I was even locked out of my room because the system wasn't working. A regular key card would have alleviated much stress. The mask mandate had recently been lifted and the breakfast hall was packed every morning. The last morning a man was standing over the bacon and eggs and open coughing into all of it. I think there should still be protective measures in place when people are doing that. I usually took my food to my room as there was not a place that I could sit with all the people coughing. Again it was the front desk staff that earned the high ratings.

LOVED IT.
