Very average motel in a rather inconvenient location.

I was in Gisborne to be there for the sunrise on January 1, 2024. The hotel was ok but the price was VERY steep for one night. Of course all is sold out because of January 1 and some annual festival.

Smells a little

It was a very nice and comfortable stay. The showers were really clean. All the facilities including heat pump, kettle, hair dryer, oven, tv, fridge were useful during our stay. It could have been better if there was a seperate drinking water tap and sink for dishes. However, the overall stay was nice and affordable.

Love the spa and the king spa studio was lovely to stay in. Slept great!

We arrived late but the lovely man at reception opened our room, started the heating and even waited for us to arrive and make sure everything was alright. Would love to say more however we arrived late and left early the next day.

Comfortable Stay

Was just what we needed for my husband and i ...Very comforable..Only downfall can hear people arriving and getting in and out of their cars and room doors opening and shutting so not really soundproof

Awesome place,all staff 10 friendly accommodating,i asked what time i could check in as it was well b4 2pm she said now i was awesme great start asked if it was ok for my grandaughter to come over an chill with me her reply of course we all Whanau!!!says it all highly recommend..

The place was clean and bed was comfortable. The owner was great help in suggesting a place to eat, and then how to drive up to the highest point in the city for great city views and a beautiful sunset over the bay.

Overall a very nice place and friendly staff.

I worries about check in late the Staff were awesome!! They went above and beyond to make sure we had easy access to our room. The room was nice a comfortable in a great location just on the edge of town. Nice and quiet we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the staff.

Room was clean, well presented and hotel was only a short drive from town. Staff were easy to commumicate with and accommodating for a late check-in.

Amazing Motel with very friendly staff

Oasis Motel, its management and staff are top class! We stayed for 7 nights and cannot fault our experience. The premise and rooms are fastidiously clean and well presented, the attention to detail was outstanding. We felt the hospitality and were able to totally relax - The awesome pool and spa, fantastic whanau welcome and being a stones throw away from Wainui beach made for a magic week. Big thank you for the best holiday.- we will be back!

Great value for money

We have stayed here on several occasions and highly recommend as great value for money

The motel is clean and comfortable and description accurate and it was mostly quiet. However, the photos do give a better impression than what it actually is. The motel appears to be partly used for emergency housing and so the pool and spa were occupied by children most of the time. Also the table outside our room was used by smokers a lot of the time.

the Oasis was great for the kids with a pool area. It's a little out of town, but easily managed with a vehicle. You are also in a perfect position to head 5 min down the road to the beautiful Wainui Beach. A first we felt a little isolated out of town, but quickly realised it was the perfect spot & felt safe, the rooms were clean & tidy and the kids loved the pool access.

On arrival, I received a very warm and friendly welcome. Dedicated parking outside our unit was very useful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Pool was very tempting, but we hadn't packed our togs.

There was plenty of room for parking and parking was well marked so we knew which was our park. There was just enough space for the 3 of us in the motel to be comfortable. We would have liked to have a kitchen sink though.

Lovely well kept property with good facilities.

Very clean, tidy and specious room. Kids love the swimming pool and hot pool. Highly recommended.

Very nice to stay in

I was incredibly impressed with the standard and the obvious pride the owners have in their motel. Impeccable

Cleaning staff excellent. I was let down by the front desk manager who had a tantrum when I politely asked for fresh towels (during proper office hours) due to me being in the shower when the cleaning staff arrived to service my room, so they skipped me. Her attitude and rude treatment of me ruined my experience (she made me cry). She went out of her way to tell me how inconvenient I was. Hot water also ran out for each day after that incident after only 5 mins of use.

You could smell the clorene when having a shower it was over powering, l got some in my eyes and it stung. you might need to upgrade your furniture a chair had a rip and the couch cushions need replacing

The motel rooms and garden areas are spotless and the hosts so friendly. Strongly recommend.

Location a bit far from city, good parking, room a bit old decor, bathroom okay size. Bed comfy

Clean, comfortable Gisborne stay

Great place to stay, wee bit out of town, north of Gisborne township, but very quiet and comfortable. Beautiful pool area. Very friendly hosts. Lovely drive down the road to beautiful Sponge Bay.

Beautiful room, excellent firm bed, good location, friendly & welcoming staff. Floor in the bathroom can be very slippery after having a shower so must be very careful. Didnt really like having to do dishes in the bathroom coz there's no sink in the kitchen area. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

Friendly staff with Free parking outside the door. Room was spacious and was very clean and nice decor. Bed was also very comfortable. Had a pool which unfortunately we didn’t get to use. Only downside was the Shower don’t like curtains and the water pressure was poor but overall enjoyed our one night stay and would book again when next in Gisborne.

Nice and clean room with a comfy bed and nice batroom and shower, would have loved to have tried the solar heated pool but was too busy, great that they are using sustainable technology such as solar power and solar pool heating

A true Oasis after a Long drive around East Cape

After a long day in the car, we were happy to arrive and be greeted by our hosts. The room was clean and appropriately equipped. The hosts recommended a nice restaurant in the downtown Gisborne area which was about a 5 minute drive.
