When we arrived my Expedia account was under my exs last name and after explaing that to him he said I hope you arent lying to me.It was rude. We got to our room and he said the key card may not work. During our visit we had to have someone let us in our room everytime. Then the flapper on the toilet didnt work so we left the lid off so we could shut it off each time we used it. It was so close to our destination, but, I would drive the extra 20 miles to stay somewhere else.

exactly what we hoped for

Found somebody’s McDonald’s trash stuffed inside the microwave body hair all over the sheets and the pillows were stained yellow and dirty bottle caps scattered across the floor The back door has been broken, so it no longer locks. Anybody can just walk in and apparently the pool has not been working for over 10 years because the manager refuses to fix the water filters

The beds are super comfortable however it’s old and the breakfast options were super limited..

Rooms looked nice. Although garbages weren't emptied and restroom vent needs dusting. Breakfast was well prepared.

130 for the night for the jacuzzi room. Says there is a pool and hottub- but they are not open for use and after reading reviews on google hasnt been for years! There was no sofa bed like advertised. The shower head was not the rain shower head as advertised in listing. Just a regular crusty shower head. Jacuzzi was great the first time. Then there was no hot water in the whole building and they need to "relight the pilot".. water got warm at best. Next morning tried to have another soak- warm water not hot. Breakfast was minimal- hot eggs and sausage but was not yummy. Wont be staying again. Staff was friendly though. Not worth 130 bucks. Maybe 60.

Not what it used to be.

Clean room, for the most part, but broken lamps, a remote that barely worked, etc. The two employees I saw were working hard, but the owners are doing zero upkeep. I’ve stayed here dozens of times over several years and it gets a little worse every visit. There used to be mini fridges and microwaves, but no longer.

I just like it

This motel needs a complete renovation. The bedding is a disgrace, towels are worn and stained and furniture is old and uncomfortable. The lobby is great with nice furniture and a beautiful fireplace.

Lots of things need updated. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Convenient location. Rooms are what you’d expect for the rate.

It is a nice older motel. I thought 1 more blanket on the bed or available would have been nice. The room was cool with heat on. It was clean and inviting on the inside. I would recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly hotel.

Good place with a fair price

Not only was this place dirty, but it also smelled. It also advertised that we had a pool as an amenity but we got there and the pool was closed. After talking to some locals, it was revealed that the pool has been closed for years. The beds are horrible and the mini fridge had what looked like dead bugs in it. It is robbery charging so much for a room that was so gross and not even all amenities that were advertised were actually available.

Door security was not great. Auxiliary entrance open 24/7 for anyone to enter. Some of the amenities not available like pool and (Apparently down for some time an owner reluctant to fix) we had to ask for clean sheets. Gas fireplace didn't work in our room. The place has great potential but requires an owner attention.

Waited at desk for check in. No pool.... its no longer a pool. No coffe in morning. Paid extra to have a pool. Should have stayed down the road.

The front desk clerk was not trained, took 20 min to check me in. The room that was 175.00 was covered in about 200-300 dead flies, all over the bed and counters. Then when they switched my room, it had not been cleaned. Over all very poor hotel. I will not be staying there again. 75 cheaper to stay at the casino.

Old, tired, find another place.

We have been staying here for work for years. The patio room is braced to hold it up, the person at the desk was really sick, the entire hotel is old, tired, lawn was unmowed, pool is closed.

I like the facility. Especially the staff. Ive always been treated well and have stayed here numerous times.

This facility has potential but the maintenance has been neglected. The pool and spa were shut down for maintenance but no one worked on it during the 3 week days we stayed there. The HVAC system (air exchanger) wasn’t working properly and it made the room air very humid. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and hardworking but the front desk staff acted like they would rather be somewhere else. It’s a great location.

Staff was very inattentive. Room was fair. Very poor breakfast options...coffee was delicious 😋.

This place needs new beds and linens to start. The springs in the mattress were sticking out and a very uncomfortable bed. Linens were worn and the fitted sheets fell off as soon as you moved in the bed. The price was reasonable, but the night of sleep was not. There was a large spider in our relative's room and black spots on our pillowcases.

The check in person was no where to be found on check in, then he didn’t ask for id before giving me my room.

The room had a terrible smell and the window was wide open. I asked the front desk person about it. Without looking at me, he told me the previous guest had a cat they were unaware of. The cat “misbehaved”(my word), hence the horrible smell. Why even put anyone in there?

Nice inside but Need more staff

The outside was very weedy and entrance way filthy, windows etc….but once inside very clean and welcoming. Sign stated short staffed so we assume more important for inside to be clean. But when we first pulled in we were alittle put off. Also pool was closed until further notice I assume because no one to care for it.

The men who worked overnight was wonderful in helping me when my son was sick. They provided new bedding and helped with cleaning up. They are wonderful!!

There was noone at the desk to check us in. Then he gave us the wrong room.

Site did not mention anything about pool being closed. And it has been closed for over 9 months

Did not meet our expectations, unfortunately.

It was a perfectly nice room, but unfortunately, they told us that we had to jiggle the access key because it was tricky to get it to work. We tried and tried to get in and it wouldn't work. I complained and they wouldn’t give us another room, said it was my fault that I chose this room and they were fully booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. Why would you make that room available if guests cannot get inside with their key? Very frustrating! There was nothing to let us know when we were making our reservation that the pool are was not going to be available for us to use. Our alarm clock was broken so it did not wake my husband up at the time he wanted to get up. No good breakfast options for diabetic guests. Biscuits and gravy, whole milk for cereal, no skim milk offered. A lot of little things added up to a disappointing overnight stay.

We got to the hotel with 4 kids at about 1am, after driving 4 hours. Were originally told they didn't have a room for us anymore because of how late it was. Took 20 minutes to check in, when the reservation sheet was in plain view at the front desk. Woke up the next morning to ants all over our stuff, and the beds. Told the front desk about the issue and they said theyd have thir pest control look into it.

Travel stop over.

we checked in early. Room was closed up tight and smelled stale. both T.Vs didn't work. Pool was closed. Poor breakfast.

Dont bring a black light!!

Room smelled of old stale smoke. Not someone recently smoking in there, but years past. Pool and hot tub not working (main reason i booked it). I unfortunately had a black light with me to look for certain UV minerals and made mistake of using it in room (so gross, i could hardly sleep)! Dust on every surface. Breakfast was sparse and what i did try (biscuits and gravy) was not fully cooked. Staff seemed nice enough. Not that its a big deal, but says rainfall shower head..not the case and couldnt push piece down to get running water in tub, always shower head.

Room is in desperate need of an update. Everything is outdated from probably 20 years ago. Sheets, towels, and bed cover all very old. Trash behind the couch and nightstand. Sink faucet only high sprayed out water, making a mess on the countertop. Staff very friendly and nice but this hotel is really really old and tired.

Gross, gross, gross! The room was nasty. The bathroom was nasty - the shower was so dirty I couldn’t take a shower in it! The floor was stained, the “comforters” were stained, even the lampshades were stained! We stripped the “comforter” off and took a close look at the sheets, which seemed ok. The bed was very uncomfortable - squeaky, way, way too springy. Every time my husband moved in the bed - even slightly - the entire thing would bounce to the point of waking me. It smells very musty throughout the entire hotel. There is a sign saying the pool is temporarily closed for maintenance. The clerk told us it’s been out of service for 6 years! Saying it “needs parts” — six years! Never again! Yuck!!

After reading ratings, I think people gave them too hard of a time. The place was clean, the staff was really nice, and they had a nice breakfast. And good coffee. Nothing fancy but nice mom and pop style place. Tv worked great! There was a hair dryer.

Room was adequate. Disappointed that advertised pool has been “closed for years.” Breakfast options were minimal. Parking lot is need of repairs and had very few cars in it but they placed someone right next to our room.

The front desk employee on Saturday March 16, 2024 was extremely helpful and nice. There was an issue with our third party reservation and the young man at the desk was super understanding and accommodating. Great service, clean room and very comfortable bed.

Wash cloths had huge stains on them. Inside of drawers hadn't been cleaned out. Pool area was closed. Update your site to say that. Its the only reason we picked this place

Usually when I stay, it’s clean. This time it was dirty. Sheets were dirty, coffee pot/plate was dirty, AC didn’t work as good, and it was hot in the room.

We had a great stay at Moose Lake Lodge. The staff were friendly and the stay was overall comfortable. It’s a little outdated but again, comfortable.

We went to a very small town in Moose Lake to stay at a hotel, because there was a fishing contest close by. We decided to stay at the Moose Lake Lodge because it had a pool and sauna and a hot tub. The Internet said it was up and running. We got there. There was a note on the door saying that the pool and spa were closed until further notice. Talking to the staff. It has been 3 to 5 years. It’s been closed And they are not being forthright with that information on the Internet

Always a nice place to stay for the weekend. Staff are always friendly.

Very reasonable rates. The room was clean and comfortable. My complaints are that there were not enough outlets so that I had to move the clock so I could plug in my C-PAP machine and also the toilet is very low so it was difficult to standup after using it.

Love location, no pool or hit tub. No refrigerator nor microwave. Soap terrible and no glasses.

Its a nice hotel for being in a small city..i would've given it 5 in the facilities category but they advertise having a pool and whirlpool but it hasnt been working for over 2yrs..The whirlpool is a luxury i always look for...

Staff very friendly

The toilet was running and the heater was loud when it came on but overall very satisfied since it was our first visit to Moose Lake. We will be back.

Lobby was clean. Beds not comfy, pool was down, good service, shower pressure not so good. No fridge or microwave in rooms. It was alright stay. 6/10

Front desk Ann was very rude explaining why I needed to sign a credit card slip when I paid online, and the amount was different Went to our room, and it hadn't been cleaned. Didn't apologize, but happened to have another available.

We were not able to check in. The person at the desk would be needed to let you in your room and if you left they would need to let you back in. Did not seem secure so we would not stay!

Staff was great and friendly

Staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. The pool and hot tub were closed since 2019- which was a surprise. Our room on the ground floor was dark and overlooked the McDonalds drive through 30feet away so getting natural light into the room was limited. The bath room fixtures were old. The beds were hard and the bedding was worn.

The motel itself was beautiful. Very friendly staff when I checked in. I had chosen this motel because it was convenient to where I needed to be the next day. One of the requirements I look for in a motel is a swimming pool & continental breakfast. The pool wasn't working. I was told it hadn't been working for quite some time. Their key card system was down as well so we couldn't let ourselves into our room. I was very uncomfortable with the situation.

Disappointing

We had two rooms and arrived at 6:00 pm, only one of the rooms were ready even though they checked us in to both, poor communication between staff. The rooms were very tired to say the least but the prices were comparable to a 5 star. Very minimal options for breakfast. I would not recommend staying at this location.

Nice comfortable beds

Pillows were old. There was a piece of metal on the bed frame sticking out. Staff was not friendly and was out front smoking frequently. Parking lot had horrible potholes. Back door did not lock so anyone could have access to hotel.

Easy access

No pool and a little over priced. I should have requested the jacuzzi room since the pool was out, or they could have offered it since the pool was CLOSED.

Unfortunately, my stay only lasted one hour because by the time we got in the hotel, we realized a few bed bugs on the toilet and wall in the bedroom. I will not use this hotel.

Nice place, clean room. First nite, got in late and the room smelled very strongly of rotten eggs. A very nice desk clerk came and sprayed odo ban and the smell was gone. We ran out of toilet paper and had to use Kleenex. The continental bkfst had no fresh bakery items. We were there for 3 mornings and very early but no bakery goods! Good coffee but no donuts!!!? Cheap-os !!!

The property was clean as well as an exceptional value for the price. Staff were excellent! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

We found bed bugs in our room. Staff were apologetic and helpful with refunding us, but the public should know it’s an issue.

No frills stop, front desk guy was very nice. The room we requested lock was broken, so waa upgraded to a suite with a whirlpool which came in handy since the pool and hot tub were not working.

I want a full refund. Bugs everywhere in the room. Dirty bathroom. Dirty sheets and towels. Pool and spa out of service. Water coming out of whirlpool and shower smelt like straight sewer. Black water came out of our whirlpool.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool and Hot Tub were down and have been for 2 years. We went there to go snowmobiling and the trail, that had been there years earlier was no longer maintained.
