Excellent location. Nice ambiance and spacious. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the stay and pool. It’s very close to place from where water sports begin. 2-3 min walkable to tram station and 6 min walk to surfers paradise beach location. Property should have kept sufficient toiletries which was missing. But altogether, a decent place to stay and if we plan to come back, we can surely choose this dwelling again.

Well maintained and clean property close to transport options

Loved the location however the property itself is old and tired. The dishwasher and dryer didn’t work for the entirety of our stay. You have to hire pool towels for a fee which was unexpected. We stayed 4 days and the rooms were not serviced or towels changed, you’re expected to wash the towels provided which again I expected more for the price paid. There is a nice kids pool however it’s not heated. The views from the property is beautiful and the location is great for shopping and restaurants.

Whole in the wall, toilet seat was loose, glass dish was broken in the kitchen draw. Air conditioning remote was not working. Carpark was an issue which was resolved next day and I need to arrange a carpark for a night. Less than an average what was shown in the advertisement pictures. Will not stay again in this property.

My stay at Moorings on Cavill Apartments

Had a nice time. The apartment had everything one would want for a comfortable stay. The pool area was nice. The view from the balcony was excellent!! Only thing was that there were cigarette butts on the balcony left over from the previous guests. Other than that all was good.

Prime spot

Perfect location, could do with a renovation. Beds are not comfy and they’re two single beds put together.Washing machine was terrible. It has made all clothes black and constantly stops. Would stay here again in future just minor things could do tweeking.

Had a fabulous stay. Apartment was massive, and surprisingly modern. Walls a bit thin (could hear neighbouring resident watching TV and bird life, sirens etc) but overall no problems. views of the river stunning. Spent time in pool most days. Easy walk to supermarket and tram. Nice to be just a stroll from the action.

The apartment was very spacious, one of the largest we have stayed in, in Surfers. Its an easy walk to the main areas. Had all the facilities we required and the pool and spa were great.

The Accomodation position itself, was awesome. Pleather Lounge was shedding everywhere, filth between the lounge cushions. Dining chairs were unsafe and legs were loose. Fans are hard to control, controllers are dodgy. Everything else was ok. Close enough to walk to many venues.

Such great location, we got a great apartment which had some obvious work in progress is to be expected from time to time. needing your own cleaning products a little inconvenient for short stays but supermarket is nearby.

Delightful in every way

Nice place to stay, everything is with walking distance - beach, shopping centers, pubs, restaurants, a few attractions . Staff is very friendly and helpful. Just a little bit noisy as its situated at the main street of Surfers Paradise.

Couldn’t fault the location, everything you needed was close by, ie groceries, shopping, restaurants and other attractions. The unit was good nice view, also a pool area with BBQ facilities. The down side was the check in, had to ring off site for someone to get the keys, the room wasn’t very sound proof, you could hear people out side which sounded like they were next to the window, even with the windows closed.

This property was in a great location and was an easy walk to everything, the view from the apartment was stunning as we looked straight over the river and it was great to see all the activity on the water especially in the weekend. The biggest downfall was the property needed redecorating and maintenance and was not very clean inside which was a shame because it's such a lovely spot!

Great place for family

We are a return visitor; walking to the shops, restaurants, and Surfer Paradise Beach is very convenient. The staff was accommodating and accommodating. The room are clean and spacious

The apartment was spacious and had a fantastc view over the river,handy location and away from the crowds.The building is older but well kept and the pool area is superb !! The bathroom was tited but the rest of the apartment was clean and freash. Reception was very friendly with a warm homely feel.would definatly stay again.

The property is right on the river with stunning views all around.All choices of transport with buses & ferries on the doorstep. Within a short walk trams supermarkets & the beach all convenient. The staff were very friendly & helpful making for a great holiday. We know where to stay next time on Surfers.

An excellent location with great views of the river and very good afternoon sun. All the amenities were in the apartment and met our needs. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The only minor draw back was the somewhat dated drapes.

The apartment itself is good and spacious and well appointed. The location although convenient; it is super noisy. The unit did not seem to have proper sound proofed windows. And there were gaps in between the sliding doors to balcony.as the property is on main road with constant traffic noise. Also there is a park around building with a toilet block which attracts all the rowdy and trouble making drunk ppl at nights. I had to resort to ear pugs to be able to have a good night sleep. Also our bedrooms didnt have blockout curtains only roller blinds with decent gaps between the panel which let the light in the morning. Definitely do not recommend this place to ppl who are sensitive to noise .

Amazing stay

Amazingly friendly staff. I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom and it was extremely comfortable. A few minor repairs needed, but only minor and advised it was getting done the following week. Only issue I found was the roller blinds let in too much light in the mornings (maybe curtains over the top).

Really nice place to stay at

The apartment i stayed in was spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's central to everything. Only thing that could change is the curtains in the bedroom don't reach all the way across without a gap on the sides. I would definitely come back! Thank you 😁

Location is great however their is a night club around the corner and on the week end the ferals are let out at 3 am and congregate in the strèet out side and as drunks do shout and carry on for about an hour not good if you are a light sleeper.

Wonderful location close to transport restaurants beach shopping

It was very safe. The area is handy for the shops and there are gorgeous beaches nearby. Public transport is only about a 10 minute walk away. The apartment was light, airy and comfortable. There was a fully functioning laundry room and the kitchen was fitted out with fridge freezer and microwave. The swimming pool was warm and pleasant to sit by. I’ thoroughly recommend this property and will tell everyone in the UK about it and I took some business cards to give them if they are planning to visit that area.

Great views from the balcony overlooking the water. Aparment is larger than the newer builds on the GC but is showing its age in certain areas. Its the 3rd time we have stopped here...mainly for the canal views and nice pool area.Reception staff are very friendly.

Just spent a week here and loved everything, close to Cavill Avenue Main Strip, short walk to everything, great location, property was well presented and reception staff very helpful

Great location and great service

Nice stay! They were really nice to give me an upgraded room. I enjoyed the tv options, had a lot of cable channels and movies to watch. Loved that the pool was heated because many places don’t do that. The room definitely needed some upgrades. There was a cupboard falling off and a lot of the handles in the kitchen were pretty dirty and crusty. I would say the shower was a bit outdated too and the entire shower head stand fell off the wall on to me while I was taking a shower. Still had a nice stay tho!

There's better elsewhere

Wouldn't recommend this place. None of the windows or doors shut properly so you get all the noise coming in. The furniture has seen better days. The sofa had all dirt down the side of the cushions. Overall for the money I paid I would expect better.

Awesome place for family travel

Very spacious, it has everything you need as a family. The views was awesome.

Comfortable stay, great for family with 3 kids. Very clean apartment. Beds were comfortable except sofa bed. Had problem with appliances breaking down but staff were very good to address issues. Close to shopping, dining and entertainment.

Great condition for an older unit, fantastic outlook, freindly staff

The unit had beautiful views on water , the outdoor poor was heated and the spa was perfect temperature. It’s a minute walk to everything. Will definitely stay there again .

If you like water views and a location in central Gold Coast then this is for you. Otherwise negatives were: broken shower head, patio and front door handle, extra squeezy dim and dark basement parking, one towel per person, take away your own garbage, dirty floors, noise from parties in the park AND a rock hard bed. (it was better sleeping on the couch) No we will not be staying here again.

Friendly staff beautiful rooms great location

Good location for families. Heated pool was a bonus. Quick drive to theme parks. Good spot on the river for fishing. Would recommend & stay again for the price.

Size of apartment was spacious and location was very central. A little noisy on the weekend , windows dont seem to be noise proof. My only suggestion would be to provide more comfy pillows.

The property is old and in need of repairs and a deep clean. Such as shame as its wonderfully positioned. The pool and grounds are beautiful but once inside ur apartment things are bad. Also when arriving we never got any sort of check in info- like a map of the facilities or after hours contacts ect not even the room service menu. It wld also be handy if there was an information packet in the apartment on how to work the appliances.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The pool area and pool was beautiful - our fave part of the stay. Our apartment was spacious and clean but could have done with a paint and a deep clean. For what we paid, I would say it was good value.

Staff were great and very accommodating. Great location. The beds (mattresses) need some updating, and the previous people left some food in the pantry which wasn't cleaned out.

Really good location. We also had everything we need except toiletries. However I think it wasn't communicated clearly when we booked that the room would only be made up once a week instead of daily.

We stayed in a delux 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment is advertised as recently redecorated but this is not the case. The apartment does not appear to have been renovated since construction, except perhaps the kitchen but certainly not in recent times. There was mold on the inside and outside window sills, the blanket on the bed was visibly dirty (I had to request a replacement), the curtains were filthy, 4 glasses only for use over 7 days, plates dirty. The location and view is great but unfortunately this does not make up for the other issues. I would not stay here again.

It was in the best location and our apartment overlooked the water it was stunning. We had a fantastic time.

great location, easy access and safe environment

The thing we liked best about the unit we had for our stay at Moorings On Cavil was the actual layout . My wife and I were both completely comfortable in the one bedroom unit. The location was perfect and the reception ladies were exceptional , each query was attended to immediately. We were on the second floor facing The Gold Coast highway but the road noise was minimal . We would not hesitate to stay there again .

Nice apartment -really good view. Ladies at reception when checking in were rude didn’t hVe correct information unhelpful and racist - I will never stay there again because of the welcome I received - shameful.

As a couple we did not go into the pool, but the pool and the facilities of Sauna & Bar- B-Q area were excellent. The managers Steve & Tammy were very friendly and helpful.

ideal place close to all,river walk,great position

I damaged my car trying to fit into the really tiny car space they gave me. Also there was a part of the wall breaking away from the building in the kitchen so sone maintaence is needed.

The property is in a good location & close to shops and the trams. Unfortunately our apartment was on the highway side so there was a lot of traffic noise.

Its an okay apartment. it wasnt that clean maybe because its old but for me not that clean. the view from our unit is pretty nice. Theres a heated swimming pool, spa and sauna which i really love. the receptionists are nice. good communication.

Had everything one could ask for, without blowing the budget. River views were great. Kitchen had everything you needed. Washer and dryer was a nice bonus. There were ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom but only a single AC unit in the living room. It takes a bit of time but the cooling does reach the bedroom. Close to Woolworths, Cavill Ave and light rail. Highly recommended.

The hotel is comfortable and great value for money. We have stayed there on several occasions and will do so again. The units are spacious and very well equiped. The reception area is helpful and of anything is wrong they are straight on to it.
