Great place to stay - close to the most popular attractions. So stylish inside. Rooftop bar is like the cherry on top of the cake! Friendly staff and delicious breakfasts. Highly recommend!!!

Mi segunda vez en el hotel, volví porque la primera vez fue sencillamente espectacular y les debo decir que la segunda vez fue igual o hasta mejor. La calidad de su atención al cliente es sobresaliente, todo el hotel está por encima del standard, todo funciona bien. La terraza es la joya, el desayuno bien variado y la vista al río es sin duda su atractivo más fuerte. Solo palabras positivas. Para quienes van en carro el hotel recomienda un parking que está a poca distancia, bien conveniente y no es tan caro, creo que alrededor de 15€ la noche. Great hotel with a fantastic rooftop restaurant

The location is unbeatable, with everything you could want within walking distance. The highlight of our stay was definitely the rooftop restaurant. Breakfast is served there every morning, and it was excellent with a wide variety of delicious options. The rooms are moderate in size but exceptionally clean and environmentally friendly.

poor service

Not good. I had booked for 4 nights, and around 1 week before need to change to 3 nights. The hotel refused to change. Hotels.com tried to persuade them but they refused. I have used this hotel for several years and spent thousands of euros there, but for the sake of €200 or so they have lost a customer. I will never stay again. also the shower door jammed. no help from the hotel. I will never stay here again- there are many better quailty hotels in the area

Staff was more than wonderful.

This is a most excellent small hotel, perfectly situated next to the Miradour. The breakfast rooftop cafe cannot be beat. The staff is very friendly & helpful.

Great property with an incredible location in the middle of everything

The front desk officers were so attentive and helpful with our needs. Small place but nice clean and we really enjoyed the view of the port when we were having our breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Excellent hotel near to everything, of course everything is at the top of a hill so you will get a workout! The staff is so kind and welcoming, it was cleaned daily and the breakfast was a nice, typical European spread. I'll definitely stay at another one of their properties when I go to Porto.

Wonderful views of the city and la good location overall. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. They serve a daily brunch was delicious! We would definitely stay there again.

Basement tomb in a nice hotel.

Overall this is a lovely hotel in a great location. Terrace and breakfast are exceptional, as is service. Room was a real disappointment in that the only natural light came from a 2mx2m air shaft that was three stories deep. Otherwise it was quite nice, but the lack of natural light would have been a deal breaker. I would not have spent ~$275/night on such a room. That information as not presented anywhere.

The river view towards the bridge and the Christ is awesome; breakfast is amazing; rooms are cozy and quiet; 10 min walks to anywhere in the city center. The only defect found was the water leaking floor relates to the bath which gets wet each time the shower is used.

Incredible views of Lisbon and the surrounding water, prime location to get to everywhere, beautiful nearby ampitheater/look out area where great music was played during the day, narrow cobblestone streets and a wonderful experience as well as a great place to stay and relax.

Awesome brunch and location

The staff is extremely helpful. Wifi was strong. Room was great. Brunch is absolutely perfect (hint: you can ask them to fry you an egg if you wish), and location is ideal, walking distance to everything. Only downside was the bed being too hard (and i like my mattress hard), and the windows don’t cover the noise from the street (if your room is facing the street). I still would stay here again though. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hotel, location and service. Only problem is that you may need to use two separate elevators in the property. Uber can’t get to the hotel but gets you very near. Steep inclines to get to the hotel from downtown central area but only when you get back to the hotel. Great breakfast.

Great rooftop area for drink or breakfast. Cosy little rooms in the centre, but still calm for sleeping, great view over the Tejo. Excellent Service at the check-in and beyond. Breakfast extraordinary!!

The hotel was PERFECTLY located in Bairro Alto so there were tons of shopping and restaurants nearby however you do have to walk up a steep-ish hill to get there! Amenities were standard and the room was spacious but could use more lighting however the bathroom was well lit for getting ready.

Friendly staff. Clean. Spacious. Good breakfast. Great neighborhood amidst the hills, alleys and cobblestones. on a quiet street in Santa Catarina yet steps away from all the busier areas and convenient to chiado etc. there is a gathering area steps from the front door overlooking the water where people tend to gather and there is always someone playing live music. Our flight home was cancelled and though the hotel was full they let us leave our bags and even return before our late night rescheduled flight to charge our devices and hang out in their outdoor balcony and have a coffee! Small boutique hotel I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon. Also we had a family room with 2 separate bedrooms each with queen bed; no common lounge in the room but the space was roomy; and one large bathroom with a good shower. The family rooms have a window to a central unusable alley so there is some natural light but no view of the street or water. Cabs can get to the hotel but to take Ubers you must walk 2 delightful blocks in any direction. If you love walking and hills and twists and turns and soaking up the culture of Lisbon then stay here or in a similar neighborhood! Couple cool places for a drink in the sun at end of the day very close by.

The property is well maintained, friendly staff, and the location great. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Hotel is in perfect location stunning views over the old town . Lovely room and staff were so nice and very helpful. Breakfast was really nice with a great choice of food. Close to all places of interest and found the trams 🚊 amazing way to get round the city. Would highly recommend this hotel

My family and I absolutely loved our stay and the staff was so friendly and helpful when it came to things to do, restaurants, calling a cab, finding transportation, etc. Definitely one of the best places I have stayed and the staff was a huge reason for that. Also are accommodations were great too!

Staff were very helpful. Short flat walk to the main street that has Tram 28 running on it.

Great customer service. I would think of this as more of a glorified hostel rather than a hotel. Bed very clean and comfortable, bathroom and some other details were not totally clean. Shower with slow drain. Met our needs but did not feel luxurious :).

Monte Belvedere by Shiadu

This is my second time staying at Monte Belvedere by Shiadu, so it goes without saying, I'm a fan. I wouldn't choose to stay somewhere again if I didn't really enjoy it. It's a beautiful building. I live the area. My room was very nice and even though it wasn't billed as a room with a view, I got a great picture of the bridge at sunset. The restaurant on the roof is delicious and my reservation included breakfast, which was also served on the rood. Gorgeous views. Great staff. I love this hotel.

We loved our stay Monte Belvedere! We opted for the family room and it was spacious yet cozy. Rooms & Property are very clean and well kept. The hotel is very eco friendly. I can’t say enough about the staff, they were amazing, friendly and informative. We had a very early flight going back home and staff arranged for a picnic box to take with us our trip, such a thoughtful and kind gesture! Thanks Liliana & team! It came in handy too on our long flight. The area is very beautiful and centralized, easy access to major sights (those hills though). The property also has very nice a rooftop bar with spectacular views of Lisbon. Will definitely stay at Monte Belvedere again.

The hotel was located in a great spot, close to hip restaurants and shops..easy walking to all. The hotel was clean, staff where really friendly and welcoming, breakfast was yummy and the roof top bar is a must! i highly recommend Monte Belvedere Hotel!

There was very little noise from the street but there was more noise within the building itself, there didn’t seem much sound proofing between floors and the tourists upstairs were noisy.

Sugiro especial atenção com a localização do hotel em área interna de condomínio com restrição de acesso por uber e/ou outros transfers no local o que poderá ter desconforto com movimentação de malas até o hotel. Recomendável verificar o serviço de transfer do próprio hotel ou taxi (este com acesso pleno até o hotel).

disgustingly overpriced, the place was more like a hostel than a hotel, noisy, old rooms, very little shower/toilet. good views from the terrace, friendly staff, apart from that, not worth the € 230 per night
