Great find. Amazing breakfast. Would def stay again

Amazing place with friendly and amazing staff. Truly incredible setting.

We stayed in the tree house it was lovely! It is quiet, breakfast is fantastic and Janice is the sweetest! Really loved it! There is an area where you can bbq and cooked of you don't feel like going out! The location is further from Williamsted hustle, closer to Westpunt & al. Perfect for us! If you are looking for a peaceful haven, this is it! Be prepared for mosquitoes... my hubby was fine but they adored me!

Mondi Lodge is a gem for the adventurous and eco-conscious who want to explore all that Curacao has to offer. The gated property is beautiful, offering the opportunity to eat breakfast or take a swim surrounded by colorful landscaping frequented by hummingbirds. The staff are incredibly thoughtful and helpful. We stayed in the treehouse -- an amazing two-story villa with all the amenities needed and a relaxed vibe. The property is centrally located, allowing for access to all parts of the island. I highly recommend Mondi Lodge for your next stay in Curacao!

Great stay, very friendly!

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay at Mondi Lodge for 4 nights during our recent trip top Curacao. We loved the jungle vibe of the lodge, and the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to base out of if you have a rental car to explore the island, and the breakfast was excellent as well! The kids loved playing in the pool and painting their handprints on the wall, we would definitely recommend Mondi Lodge to other travelers!

We loved all the animals at Mondi! The landscaping was also very nice. All the people that work at Mondi were super nice! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet nonresort type of stay.

Overall stay was amazing. The Mondi team were so welcoming and provided everything we needed. Definitely more rustic feeling but that was part of the fun.

Incredible getaway!

Mondi lodge was everything my husband and I expected, and more. We stayed for a weekend for our anniversary celebration. All staff were incredibly welcoming and gave great suggestions for places to visit, eat and explore. The breakfast each morning was fresh and yummy! They are very accommodating if you have any food preferences. (Always try the daily special!) WiFi worked good, plenty of parking. It's a 10-15min drive to the city. We didn't find this inconvenient at all. It was nice to relax outside of the hustle and bustle. Can't wait to spend another weekend here. Thank you again to all of the incredible staff for making our trip so amazing :)

We just returned from an amazing vacation in Curacao. The visit would not have been the same without the stay at the Mondi Lodge. Danita and her staff are so welcoming. The property is completely different then a traditional hotel feel and we loved it. It felt like home. Although, I don’t have an outdoor shower at home. Might have to get one, but not sure that will work for the cold winters in NY. Being a family of animal lovers, we enjoyed the dogs. Atsu was a family favorite and lounged with us later in the evening by the pool. The breakfast was always delicious...wish I had that banana pancake recipe. Yum. They accommodated my daughters food allergy and made gluten free delicious options as well. Which can be a challenge! Barbel was so thoughtful and made our children’s birthdays that they celebrated while on vacation extra special with a card, gift, and a special breakfast dessert. She also had great suggestions for sightseeing and dinner options. Thanks again for the experience. ❤️The Sears Family- Bob, Angela, Morgan & Brady

Noisy, full of bugs

If you like being kept up all night by roosters, screeching peacocks, mosquitoes, and having donkeys ten feet from your room, this is the place for you.

We settled on staying at the Mondi Lodge after reading all the positive reviews and hoping for a more personal experience...and we got just that! All of the staff were super helpful and friendly and I don't think our visit to Curacao would've been as great without them there. Breakfast was AMAZING every morning and they all took the time to go through our itinerary for the day and give us some recommendations and what to do and where to eat. Danita even took us to some snorkeling spots and hung out with us on one of her days off, which we really appreciated, and she also gifted us a bottle of champagne upon hearing about my graduation. The individual cabanas/huts made it feel very exclusive and private. We loved the dogs, cats, and all the other animals on the property, they are super sweet and friendly. Overall, staying at the Mondi Lodge was an absolutely fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this place to others. *I would highly recommend renting a car to get around, but for the sake of your wallet do not I repeat DO NOT get the rental insurance offered by Expedia. At the time it seemed like a deal and I didn't want to risk the car rental company charging us like crazy once we got there, but it's a rip off. The insurance states that it is "valid," and it technically is, but you'd better have an additional $800 for a deposit to use it! And the car rental's insurance ended up being same price!*

Not your typical chain hotel

Family run establishment a little off the beaten path but well worth it. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and is perfect to just sleep, have breakfast and spend your day doing activities and the beach. The AC is cold, the coffee is strong, the bathroom is clean and the bed is a little on the firm side. Definitely rent a car if you're staying here, we visited for a wedding and it proved invaluable. 2 minute drive from the beach, 20 minutes from the airport and 30 from the downtown area. The Perfect Blend!

Mondi Lodge, a perfect blend on nature and paradise! Outstanding staff, who will prepare the best breakfast you will ever have. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the amazing staff at Mondi Lodge makes it a meal you do not want to miss. Being able to sit down and have a fresh meal to start the day, and a delightful conversation to help you plan your day. Comfort that is incredibly hard to match. Waking up is a challenge but the smell of some delicious fresh toast would surly do the trick. My girlfriend and I stayed for a few days but everything was outstanding, we really felt at home. Danita will surly make you feel as if you're staying at a family remember, by even lending you a phone and making herself available 24/7. Her and her amazing team are one of the best! I would highly recommend staying here, I truly believe it is the best place in Curacao! Pros: In a convenient location. Amazing Staff and Breakfast Eco Friendly Comfort beyond imagine Cons: Will not really cons, but if you are not a dog person or animal person in general, this is not the place for you. Mondi Lodge gives you a great feeling of nature and paradise, which includes animals roaming around. Just a heads up there is no microwave, if that is something you are looking for, but there is a kitchen area, and an amazing pool!

Wonderful, unique & well-maintained

This was a great choice, close to one of the island's best (and free) beaches, Kokomo and close enough to downtown Punda to be able to enjoy restaurants and the like there. Great staff, no bug issues at all, beautiful pool, delicious breakfasts, relaxing pool and spacious rooms with a lot of amenities. The maps.me free app, which doesn't require an Internet connection to let you know where you are and in what direction you are headed is a big plus, if driving. And one needs a car, if you stay here -- which you should!

Fantastic bungalows right in the middle of Curacao

Mondi Lodge was the perfect spot to stay with my wife during our honeymoon. We had our own private cabana that was perfect in every way, the staff at Mondi Lodge was FANTASTIC and helped us plan each day (as well as spoiled us with some champagne upon our arrival!), and the location was perfect for exploring every day. We loved it and can't wait to go back!

Off the path of common tourist embarkation lies...

A hidden gem, an oasis, that is the Mondi Lodge. With two wonderful hosts who prepare a fantastic breakfast each morning, your journey starts off on the right foot in Curacao. Easily navigate from here to all the best beaches or find comfort in the shade of your private palapa. A hammock, mini fridge (cold storage), travel cooler and other amenities are offered for your convenience. The Mondi is like coming home, if you feel at home with nature, animals and loving energies. There is a peaceful spirit here that will certainly nurture the weary, embrace the travel-hungry and fortify the explorer.

A truly unique and unusual paradise! Everything about this place was special from the setting to the amazing breakfasts to the wonderful warm hosts!

Privacy and personal attention in private cottages

Just a wonderful place to stay if you're looking to have your own private little cottage. The owners (Danita and Jairo) are just wonderful. They are very approachable, real, people that were very helpful in planning our activities. Once they get to know you and your interests, they aren't afraid to suggest changes to your original plans to make sure you have the best time possible. Their suggestions were spot on, too! The place itself was very quiet, clean, and beautiful. The breakfasts were fantastic. Danita is a wonderful cook her breakfast specials were great. They were happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements. We were able to relax by the pool by ourselves, and also used the onsite BBQ to have inexpensive meals (there is a nearby grocery store). Just a wonderful place and we would definitely return if we went back to the island.

Mondi fun!

Danita and Jairo as well as their family run Mondi and are just great people. They are the staff. Great breakfasts. Personal service was great. They even helped me with a minor transportation emergency so they will go out of their way. The only thing you must be aware of is roosters. Yes, roosters near the property and even far but I heard about 4 of them within earshot. Very loud and sometimes they will go at it all night while other nights they will wake you around 5 a.m. each night. Outside of that issue only, it was perfect.

Beautiful, peaceful, friendly getaway

I spent a weekend there during a business trip to Curacao and other countries in the region. The owners, Danita and Jairo were wonderful hosts who treated me like family. The lodge is small, with about 4 double rooms spread out in separate huts all new and tastefully furnished, set in beautiful grounds, teaming with exotic local wildlife, including hummingbirds and iguanas. The location is ideal in my opinion, very quiet and peaceful but close enough to the nightlife of Wilemstad and the beaches near Blue Bay. Curacao is small and the roads are decent so every part of the island is accessible within an hour or so. There is no restaurant in the lodge yet, though they plan to open one, however they do serve an excellent freshly prepared breakfast and there are plenty of good restaurants within a short drive away. They also have a barbecue in case you want to do your own cooking. Overall, I loved my stay here and cannot recommend the place highly enough. I will certainly return there on the next occasion I visit Curacao.
