The hotel is close to the center of Munich. Walking distance to major attractions. Nice restaurants are nearby. Close to train station. Easy to get a taxi. Most importantly the room are clean and quiet.
The only place to stay in Munich!
MOMA was perfect in every way! The staff was kind and enormously helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There is free mineral water any time you want. Also snacks. And self service beer and wine is very reasonably priced—like a half bottle of red wine for 5 Euros. The Ost train station is right at the hotel, so you can easily get anywhere in Munich. You won’t be disappointed!
Only was there one night but was very happy with my hotel choice. The staff was uniformly very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large and the bed was comfortable. There are free drinks in the lobby and first floor lounge area and the neighborhood and numerous restaurants within easy walking distance. I would happily stay again.
Cool boutique hotel by the Ostbahnhof
Beautiful, clean, eco-friendly, great service.
Wonderful boutique hotel with personality and well located
Second stay here. Super convenient and clean rooms. Rooms are albeit on the smaller side, but are ideal for single/couple travellors on business. A 10 minute walk from the down Munich core, a lovely stay in Munich with Ostbahnhof being across the street. Cant ask for anything more.
Close to the train station, very nice refreshment amenities, comfortable room
MOMA 1890 was such a cute hotel! I loved our room, the staff was so helpful and nice, free non alcoholic drinks and snacks, very close to transportation and dining. Would definitely stay again!
Free ice cream due to hot weather
the staff is wonderful and very helpful. Staff is great with directions around the city and for the U and S lines. They welcome you with water, softdrinks and light snacks. I thought this was a very nice touch and made your stay easy and enjoyable. Breakfast was also great the one day we ate there. Thank you, this is my 3rd visit and I hope to return someday.
Loved Moma 1890!
Loved this hotel! It was beautifully designed and decorated; very cosy, elegant and with a quiet ambiance. My only concern is warmth of the room. It was hard to sleep restfully even with the high quality Dyson fan in the rooms.
Wonderful Boutique Property & Wonderful Staff!!!
Great location, very friendly staff and good amenities
Great place. I would come back again.
we have been here before several times, but now we fell price/value is out of whack.
Locality and modernity meet at Munich East
I appreciated this hotel for its location directly across from the Munich East train station (locally Ost Bahnhof), its modernity (best shower I had on my 3-week trip), and complimentary refreshments (I think on 1st floor). Would stay here again.
Great location; friendly helpful staff. Good links to railway and tram services. Fantastic breakfast
Great location from the Ostbahn train station, easy access to all the highlights of Munich. A lidi grocery across the street. The room was comfortable and clean. We were there mid September so no AC wasn’t an issue. We would definitely stay there again.
Amazing location! If you want to explore Munich, there is no better hotel. You are literally steps from the Ostbahnhof so the airport, buses, U-Bahn, and S-Bahn are all easily accessed. Not to mention it is only a short bike/scooter ride to major landmarks. The room was huge and beautifully done. Very clean, quiet, and homey. Would 100% recommend this hotel.
modern, clean, very convenient location , friendly helpful staff,
Good!!!
Good location but no the best. (very easy to take metro from there) Very affordable. Nice & clean.
Amazing staff and the design of the hotel is marvellous.
Top notch
Great hotel. Loved that while it was completely modern, it has a 100-year history as a hotel and that the renovation has preserved elements of it. The hotel is faultless and has a good breakfast. Very competent and super friendly staff.
Very friendly reception and a free snacks counter.
Great hotel but may not be very suitable for the hot summer months. Room has no air-conditioning, only heater and a fan. The weather was hot days and cool nights, so it was just perfect. The neighbourhood is quiet because it was a weekend and a public holiday while I was there but it is conveniently located just opposite Munchen Ost.
Fantastic location and very friendly and helpful reception staff. However room was basic and sparse and shower was tiny. No air condition so it was warm and with windows open the traffic outside was very noisy. Kept us awake at times.
Lovely small hotel in a very nice location across from the Ostbahnhof. Room was very clean and comfortable and it is good to see that the hotel management is environmentally conscious.
Great hotel with a clean, modern design. It is also located right at the Ostbanhof U stop, which makes getting around the city super easy. The parking garage was located across the street, which was also convenient and secure.
Very helpful and friendly staff. the hotel is modern, comfortable and very clean.
Great value in central Munich
Excellent hotel which is well placed for visiting the many attractions of Munich. Walking distance to the centre and next to the train station for anywhere further. Hotel is in an old building which has been renovated to provide a boutique experience. All rooms are different. Excellent breakfast. Secure parking in underground garage nearby. Highly recommended.
Great stay at a convenient location
Overall I really have only good things to say about this hotel. My 7 year old son and I stayed there for 2 nights at the very end of July. The room was impeccable, the service really very good and people there very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was also way above average and the woman running the breakfast room was extremely nice and really helped to start the day on the right foot. The location of the Hotel is extremely convenient. we came by train and its location right next to the train station made it all a breeze. Subway, fast-track and tram stations are literary right in front. But if you are worried about street noise, fear not. With closed windows, the combination technology and the thick old walls make it very quiet inside. The fact that the hotel is in a historically protected building brings me to the only slight downside. We were there at the peak of a week-long hot spell and the hotel doesn't have air condition. They did provide quiet fans and at night we slept with open windows and it was not bad at all. If you don't travel during the hottest week of the year, I am sure this not an issue what so ever. in summary, it is a great hotel and we would return any day.
Hot and noisy
The hotel has no aircon and faces towards the sun. The room was so hot and noisy as it faces onto the Main Street and with the window open, it was so hard to sleep. We requested a different room and was told that we could go higher but the room was hotter. Needless to say, we didn’t get a good nights sleep.
Adorable place in adorable neighborhood
Great location just outside the Ost station so easy access to anywhere in the city. Also close enough for a walk to city if you want exercise. Beautiful and more quiet neighborhood feel in this part of Munich. Friendly staff. Clean and adorable rooms. My only comment was the room got a bit warm at night but they did have a fan.
Great hotel, excellent location and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Oktoberfest in Munich
The room, service and location were perfect. Easy access to transit, easy walk to all the terrific areas of Munich. Great local restaurants. Only downside is it was a bit loud if window opened since our room was by the Main Street. Still we slept well.
Wonderful!
Really nice hotel with top notch service. Location is great- across the street from Ostbanhof train station. Large rooms and bathroom, lots of complimentary snacks and drinks. *Be careful coming out of the luggage storage room if you have them hold your bags- there is a lip on the inside that can trip you up and send you flying- could cause an injury.)
This is a great location and the service was wonderful. They helped at every turn and made our 8 day visit both comfortable (vacation) and productive (business). You are about 10 minutes from city centre.
spacious quiet room, free soft drinks and snacks!
The room was very spacious and well insulated for noise, so it was very quiet inside. It was decorated to a high spec with a 2 seater sofa, 1 seater sofa, and a small desk area. There's no minibar in the rooms but you can get free soft drinks and snacks (crisps) from reception, and beers are only €1. The only negative is that the room safe is not large enough to fit a laptop, only wallet and passport. There was no bath, only a shower, in my room. Since I did not need to use the safe, or a bath, I had a great stay. I would book again.
Great location
Great location, nice hotel.
Perfect, stylish place to stay!
Lovely staff and good location (very easy to get to airport and around Munich). I loved the wallpaper and design details! It's such a cute boutique hotel with really thoughtful touches like free sparkling water and gummy bears. The daily breakfast is also awesome and a great value as well!
The breakfast was definitely the highlight of the stay. The breakfast room is beautiful and the spread is amazing - even for vegetarians. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Plus, the walk to old town was easy and beautiful.
Great hotel - fabulous staff.
Weekend break in Munich. Fabulous hotel, where the staff could not have done more. Convenient location, so easy to walk into the centre plus near train and underground making travelling further easy too. If we come back - would definitely stay here again.
Superlative Service Design Hotel highlyrecommended
Reception staff were amazing!!! Fantastic English, went beyond the call in trying to assist and offer restaurant tips/other info (Post office across from road) and regular weather updates at Front Desk - neccessary when so cold! Fantastic breakfasts (as most German hotels) and unusual decorating style adds to interest. Comfy beds and great view into snowy january weather. Room was pretty good size and new bathroom - toilet inside bathroom. Great location with access to trams outside hotel door (not even 10mins into city) and walks near river. Highly recommend this hotel for fantastic service, great location (not in Central area with unsavoury types walking around) but still very accessible. Several local Munich restaurants and beer bars in walking distance.
Located near center of Munchen city. Very good subway&bus access. Very clean and staff are friendly.
Fantastic staff, transport convenience, great room
Another great stay at this lovely hotel. The staff here are fantastic , genuinely interested in making guests comfortable and going the extra mile to provide friendly and responsive service. We stayed in a junior suite which was very spacious and had a separate sitting area. Being just across the road from Munich Ostbahnhof was a bonus, making travel to/from the airport and in/out of the CBD very easy indeed. I'd book again in a blink if I returned to Munich.
Fantastic location, great staff, comfortable rooms
Fantastic location close to many transport options. 30 mins from airport by train, five mins to centre of Munich. Tram also close by. Good dining options within walking distance. Wonderful staff. A really welcoming, comfortable hotel with individual features that work. This hotel seems to place a high value on its quality of service and made our stay extremely pleasant.
This is a superb hotel in a very good position. Being right by the Osthofbahn it is 30 minutes from the airport. The local area has a nice feel, with shops, bars and restaurants aplenty. To get to Munich city centre is 5 minutes by S-bahn or tram (day tickets are cheap and allow travel on trains, trams and buses), or about 25 minutes walk, which takes you past the posh shops area if you have lots of money to spend. it is the little things that make a hotel special. We left an apple and a paperback book on the table, when we got back there was a plate, napkin and knife to eat the apple and a Rosenheim bookmark. Wi-Fi is strong all over the hotel. our rooms was modern yet cosy and warm. Being at the front of the hotel does mean there is occasionally noise from rowdy people at night, in winter it is not a problem with the windows shut, but could be annoying in summer. At reception they have a selection of soft drinks and snacks, and they sell large bottles of beer for only 1euro. Kathrin/Katie, Veronica and Phillip at reception spoke good English and were very helpful, recommending good local restaurants.
Convenient, clean and friendly staff
Very nice hotel. I use it instead of staying near the airport. Airport is only 30mins by train which is outside the door. Rooms is clean & comfortable, staff are friendly and breakfast is fresh
Great Location
Great location with fantastic access to all modes of transport, good restaurants nearby, nearness to ATMs
Gem of a hotel at great location
A spotless, immaculate hotel with arty internal decor and run by very friendly and efficient staff. Housekeeping was not only efficient but also thoughtful. The breakfast was not huge but it had the perfect mix of food and drinks, hot and cold. The breakfast room is managed by only one person but we never had to wait 30 seconds before being greeted and served coffee. The room is spacious and very comfy (though the noise of the traffic gets in if windows are opened). Overall, it's an extremely comfy and pleasant hotel. This was our first visit to Munich and the hotel played a big role in making it a success. The hotel is located right outside the Ost Bahnhof, which is a major transport hub with direct links to the airport, city centre and main line trains to regional cities like Innsbruck. There is a tram stop outside the hotel and no 19 takes you to the historical old city centre of Marienplatz in 10 minutes. Or you can walk to the centre through the lovely Haiderhausen neighbourhood and over the Isar river in about 25 minutes (all day trip buses start from outside the huge Karstadt dept store next to Hauptbahnhof station, which the no 19 tram reaches in 15 minutes). Despite having a such major transport hub there, the hotel is in a quiet leafy neighbourhood, dotted with restaurants, bars, ice cream joints and cafes. The station itself is packed with shops and eateries.
Lovely hotel across from the Ostbahnhoff Would have appreciated air conditioning
Clean, bright rooms and a great breakfast buffet
We loved our stay at Design Hotel Stadt Rosenheim. The front desk service was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has a very reasonably priced honor bar in the lobby, and our room was bright and immaculately clean with comfortable down duvet bedding. The breakfast buffet spread was excellent and really set us up for our days of walking around Munich!
Renovated Rooms Excellent
This is not a luxury hotel, but I was so happy with the excellent service and my very recently renovated room that I extended my stay from one night to four. I felt very cosy there, and really apreciated reception cheerfully making multiple phone calls to help me resolve this problem or that, and promptly bringing me an extra blanket when requested. I can't speak regarding the rooms awaiting renovation. The hotel is priced just slightly above a major national budget chain, but its superior location, comfort and room size make it a far better choice.
Business Trip
Very comfortable well run hotel for a business trip.
Really nice hotel . Expensive
NIce hotel , expensive. Had to pay 20 euros more per night when i requested a quiet one. Rooms facing the main street are noisy. Breakfast is 11 euros for not much variety.Room was really nice and spacious.
Style
This hotel has a lot of spirit. The neigborhood is not the cleaniest and the sound proofing also isn't the best. But neighter of it is also horrible. The rooms are pretty basic in terms lf equipment. But I stayed there twice and will definitelly stay again, always a very nice experience. There is something to this hotel that is hard to describe. Film vs megalixels like :) On "paper" there is better hotels in Munich. But the overall experience - this hotel is really nice.
Boutique hotel located 30min from airport by train
This boutique hotel has modern decor conveniently located next door to the subway with a direct line to the airport by train. It is a 30 min walk to Marienplatz but a short subway ride. The rooms are a good size with great layout and nice decor. Our room didn't have any English channels but my daughter's room had additional channels along with the English speaking channels. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They have a wonderful breakfast offered from 6:30am- 10am. We found it noisy even on the 4th floor with the windows closed.
Price per value, it was expensive. Staff was helpful.
Funky boutique hotel, hip convenient location
Hotel location: not in the centre but we chose that on purpose. It was in the hip area of Haidhausen just outside the centre. The metro is right outside the hotel as you walk out the door and you can take virtually any line with 3 stops to the centre. There were a lot of very cool restaurants around the area. Hotel room: Great room. Super large with funky decor. Had a big comfortable sitting area with cool couches. Huge bathroom with good facilities. They don't have a fridge in the room to save energy however they have a great guest fridge downstairs in the reception where all the basic drinks and nibbles are free and the beers and alcoholic drinks were around 1 euro. Great concept. And if you need to put something of your own in the fridge they accommodate that for you in their own staff fridge. Hotel staff: really efficient and friendly. Very helpful if you ask them for help and information. Wifi: this was free, really fast, really convenient. Breakfast: we did not take the hote breakfast. We opted for the bakery style breakfast which for 2 people is under 10 euro. Lots of great quality bakeries in the underground metro area right outside the hotel. You can sit in or takeaway. If you want the hotel breakfast it is around 11 euros per person. Overall impression: loved the hotel, loved the location, loved our stay. Highly recommend it.
Unique hotel close to transportation
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Stadt Rosenheim. The decor is interesting and they've done a great job bringing new life to an old building. The room (comfort double room) was a bit small, but well designed. However, our room was directly across from Ost Bahnhof - the windows looked out onto it. Because it was pretty hot and there is no air conditioning in the room, we usually had to open the windows to sleep at night, which meant TONS of noise! The room was almost silent with the windows closed, but that wasn't really an option. If you're going in the cooler weather and don't need to open windows, it would be fine. It was convenient to be steps from so many transportation lines, but not worth the noise.
Awesome Hotel
This has been one of awesome stays in any hotels ever. The Hotel is a wholesome German hotel with excellent staff, service, helpfulness and location. I stayed at Charmeroom which was spacious and very very functional. The whole Hotel has a touch of design, recently renovated, and justifies the prefix in its name completely. In terms of value for money, it tops the list of many european hotel I have stayed in. The free soft drinks, snack service in the lobby is out of the ordinary and great. The staff goes out of the way to meet your needs. I can not fault this hotel in any which way and special mention goes to front desk girls Reneta and Katie, as also to Heidi and Christina in the breakfast room. My compliments to General Manger Mr Wolfgang for running such efficient and great hotel with wonderful staff. Actually I walked in the hotel having lost my Passport in train between Cologne and Munich stressed and hassled. We were warmly welcomed by Reneta at the front desk and she provided all the help required and put us at complete ease. We ended up extending our stay of three days by another two days and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you once again.
A real jewel in Munich! Thank you.
I chose the hotel based on reviews and all I can say is thank you to the excellent recommendations. The staff are extremely welcoming and the hotel has its own style, unlike the standard big chains which all look the same. It's perfectly located across from the station. Very good restaurants in the area and easy to walk into the heart of Munich.
First impression was not accurate
Not much to look at on the outside, but quite ok inside. Friendly reception. Efficient check-in. Very small lift. Nice clean room with virtually no amenities (much like an overnight room at an airport hotel). Interesting neighborhood. Extremely convenient to the Munich East train station. Reasonable breakfast. WiFi ok, but not much speed. Overall a reasonable value for money. Would stay again for one or two night trip.
Convenient to travel around Munich
Located near subway & train station. Very nice neighborhood and cosy restaurants around the hotel.
Design Hotel Stadt Rosenheim
Room was nice but nothing like photos. No air conditioning but thankfully it was cool (mid-May) during our visit and opening the windows was sufficient. However, the radiator in the bathroom was on and could not be completely turned off. The hotel breakfast was not worth the 10€. Very continental - minimalist in fact. Best part is that the hotel is directly on top of the Ostbanhof subway stop - very convenient to get around - if you don't get lost down in the subway (very confusing).
Hotel very close to the Ostbahnhof train station
The room was very spacious with high ceiling. It included two wash sinks in the main bedroom as well as a large bathroom. The hotel is an old one with large rooms and whilst our room was clean enough it was in need of a makeover. The walls and ceiling were covered in heavy embossed patterned wallpaper. The bathroom was clean but had a huge mottled glass window without blind or curtain. The room had one single bed and two other singles which were pushed together to make a large double. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep since the room was quiet.
Excellent all round
I booked this hotel because it was near the ostbahnhof and I was flying out the next day, plus it was on sale. Great location, just near the station, very nice inside as it's just been redone. My room was a little small but very clean and the bed was perfect. I'd noticed a lot of hotels in Germany had thin curtains and as a result was waking up early thanks to light coming in but my room was very dark and I slept the best I had for my whole trip. I liked how the rooms didn't have fridges to save on electricity. Instead, there's free water, soft drinks etc in the lobby and if you want a alcohol it's the same price as at a supermarket. Great idea, and great place.
Great location next to the train station
I was only there for a one night stopover before flying out of Munich. This place can't be beat for location if all you need is to be close to the trains. Still, it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I didn't get a chance to explore the area, so I can't really comment on the neighborhood. It certainly seemed nicer than staying near the Central Station. I would choose this hotel again.
great location. Close to trains , buses and subway
The reception staff was amazingly helpful. Very patient and pleasant
Great place
Really nice hotel, fantastic access to the station across the road, staff were friendly and rooms were big and clean. It's about 8 mins by train to the Marienplatz where there are shops, restaurants, local sights etc, so we didn't have an issue catching the train when needed. There was not much to see locally near the hotel. Recommended for a stay in Munich.
Comfortable hotel
Friendly hotel staff, comfortable and spacious room and convenient location. At this price could have done with a mini fridge/kettle in the room - although there were complimentary soft drinks available in reception. Secure underground parking available at extra cost. Overall pretty satisfied with the stay.
It was in a very nice upscale neighborhood.
The staff was great, and fluent in English. Many nice restaurants close by. Just a 15 - 20 minute walk to Marienplatz & old town. I was very pleased.
Lovely clean hotel
I stay at this hotel regularly as its a short walk from my office in Munich. Its a nice hotel which isn't over priced and very clean. The staff are friendly. There rally could do with a clock in the room though which i point out every time I stay!
Excellent
It was a great location in a nice part of Munich. Rooms were spacious. Nice to be able to have a free cold drink and snacks. Would have liked the option of booking the breakfast in advance through Hotels.com
Close to the Bahn and easy commute to sights
Excellent staff.
Convenient city centre location hotel
Recommend for a short trip. Clean small hotel and staff is friendly and no complains
Proximity to train station was great!
We arrived in Munich by train from Venice, tired and hungry, only to find our hotel was directly across the street from the Ostbanhof train station. Couldn't have been more convenient for us. The front desk recommendation for a good, homestyle German meal was excellent as well. The only suggestion would be a few more electrical outlets in sink areas for convenience.
Convenient hotel for exploring the city
I chose to stay here for two nights on a business trip to Munich. I needed to get in and out of the city centre easily, to have a fast and reliable internet connection in the room, and a good night's sleep.
Easy airport connection, avoid tourist crowd
The hotel is very convenient to the Munich Ost train station. One of the underground entrances to the train station pops up right in front of the hotel making it easy to get to/from train station with bags, etc. The trip to airport is also shorter than in the city center. I particularly enjoyed that I didn't feel like I was in a tourist center. Several nice restaurants, boulevards, and squares within easy walking distance just had locals hanging out unlike the mobs of tourists closer to the main train station. Had a nice walk to the parks along the river as well as easy trip on S-bahn or tram into downtown. There are a couple of grocery stores nearby as well to pick up drinks/snacks.
Friendly service, but no AC!
Clean room, complimentary water, comfortable beds and pleasant design. However, like many hotels in the city, no air conditioning. Even with temperatures reaching 85F, we had a pleasant stay.
Lovely hotel. All transport close.
Very friendly staff. Restaurants close by. Lovely walk to town centre or underground 2 steps from front door
Good hotel.. middle of the city
Great staff .. excellent service esp all the front desk ppl. Superb
Great Hotel
Smart choice for good price and great quality. The staff were very helpful and kind. I have enjoyed my stay in this hotel. AI cannot find anything major to complain about.
single room disappointing
I would noz go again there for a single room. Especialy when ist faces the street. Its Noisy and has the charme of a prison cell. I hve been there befire in a double room facing the back of the building which was realy nice!
Munich Winner
Great location and price and easy internet included. I would definitely stay here again. It's so close to all major transit and the local neighborhood is great. If I could live in Munich, I would live in this neighborhood.
great location
easy to get connected
Good, simple room in a clean hotel
The windows in the room were tiny and high up. It would have been nice to have a view of the city, but it is just as good to have a reason to get out of the hotel and go explore, right? I would have liked a mini-fridge in the room, but the lack wasn't a big problem. Breakfast offered lots of good coffee, but was relatively sparse for 10 euros.
Over the top service
Amazing idea with snacks and drinks in lobby - why haven't more hotels done the same?! Staff very helpful. rooms very clean, comfortable. Surrounding neighbourhood nice. Close to town by transport but walking is nice too, if you like longer walks
comfortable, friendly, good area
The pictures on the website didn't resemble my room, however, it was a very comfortable bed and clean. The Bathroom tiles were something fresh out the 70's but still not dated. I stay in a lot of hotels for my work and it beats some of them hands down! I would definitely stay at Stadt Rosenheim again and would recommend it to anyone as it's a 20minute walk to the inner city of Munich and by the Munich East Station which is fantastic for the airport. All reception staff were extremely polite and nothing was too much bother. There's a little counter in reception with chilled drinks instead of Minibars in the room - all non-alcoholic drinks are free...now you don't find that very often (in fact it was a first for me!)
Good location
Good location but no air conditioning for summer is a bit tough especially this year, 2013.
Good location forum Munich visit
Very nice modern hotel. Grocery store across street. Coffe shop next door. 3 stops from Marienplatz & main city sites. Noisy street below but that's Munich!
Convenient location
Quality hotel in a great location - easy access to the train station which can take you anywhere in Munich.
Best in Munich: this hotel has a soul.
My work is of an International nature, so I stay in a lot of hotels. This hotel is a rarity and truly stands out. It has a soul, the staff genuinely care for their guests: in a world of beige and bland, the spirit of this hotel sings out in rainbow colours. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough so give it 22 out of 10!
Great small hotel
Easy to get around Munich from here. Very clean and comfortable. Good buffet breakfast.
1 day layover in Munich = the place to stay
this was my wife and I's first time to Munich and couldn't have been happier. For the price, location was great, right accross from the subway station and only a 15-20 to the heart of Munich. we only stayed 1 night due to a busy itinerary, but were overall very please with price, location, and confort of thie hotel. It was nice to stay in a hotel a little outside of the busy area, and still have the transit system at our fingertips if we wanted to get anywhere in the city. Great place!!!
Great for a weekend break - good location.
I stayed here for 5 nights with my husband (Thurs- Mon). This hotel is in a great location for transport links - right opposite Ostbahnhof. The staff were all very friendly and looked after us very well. No minibar in the room but instead they offer free water, soft drinks, fruit & snacks (anything alcoholic is extra of course) plus a complimentary sherry in the evening - all available in an easily accessible area near reception. A bottle of sparkling water is in your room every day too. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but we went over to Rischart bakery in the station instead - which sounds a bit weird but the food there was lovely, especially all the cakes there on Sunday! Nice décor. No complaints at all. I would happily return and probably will
Almost perfect
Great stay. Condition/maintenance only 4 because the elevator just happened to go out during our stay. Stairs were manageable and they did offer to carry luggage down (and up for new arrivals!) The back/side neighborhood is very cute - just not a central neighborhood. One of the subway entrances is literally right outside the front door! So it is very convenient in that sense. And we had a great dinner at a very "local" gastropub type place a few blocks away. But for walking, it is a bit of a hike to get to the main touristy spots. A nice walk in good weather but not in bad. I can't remember what we paid but i don't think it was unreasonable. And i loved the free carbonated water every day! Large room, comfortable bed, great water pressure and hot water in shower and a pretty nice sized bathroom to boot, especially for europe.
Hotel Stadt Rosenheim
The hotel is on a good location for trains to central Munich. Also various restaurants within walking distance.
Good hotel, well kept but NOT in the city center.
it says its in historic center, its not. its 5 min away with U-Bahn. its not close to maria kirche. its in a nice area, but facing a dull square close to ost railway station. hotel is very nice inside, great breakfast, clean and crisp, but obviously a smaller size hotel with less lounge area, smaller front desk etc. good, if you know its NOT in the centre of Munich, which you are led to believe from the description of it
MOMA1890 Boutique Hotel | Hotel in Munich | Travala.com
Wonderful staff! Spacious rooms with modern conveniences. Breakfast was terrific and beautifully presented. If we visit Munich again we will definitely stay here.
