We had a chance to stay in the Colombia Cabin and it was so beautiful! The cabin was so simple and cozy and the mountain views were gorgeous. We can't wait to stay again!

Breakfast was a work of art! Blueberry French toast, sausage links and home made blueberry yogurt! The host was so welcoming and our room was very clean with plenty of extra fresh fluffy towels in the bathroom. Nice and quiet but easy access to the highway. Recommend!

Amazing cabin stay! Beautiful area and convenient to parks and dining options.

The friendly greeting by the host, view and delicious breakfast were the toppers on a lovely room.

The only issue was the amount of mosquitoes in the area at the time we were visiting, which is not under the control of the lodge. Otherwise excellent facilities, and wonderful hosts. Due to an error on the expedia site, we were told that breakfast was provided when in fact this is not a service they provide, but they felt bad and provided us with freshly baked, warm, delicious strawberry scones that more than made up for the error.

Hidden gem

Loved this hidden gem spot so much! Beautiful cabins, nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable beds. Peaceful and quiet location, friendly owners and staff. Enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful mountain view.

Beautiful view of the mountain. Quiet. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and had their own walk out to the main floor terrace with chairs. Breakfast was very good. Only thing is that we did not know the power went out at night so was a little caught off guard with that. Overall very happy with our experience and would come back again.

We only stayed one night in the Columbia Cabin and we loved it and would love to come back again and would book for more than one night. Cabin was stocked well and very comfortable for our family of 4. The property is very private and easy to find driving from Golden. Soft linens and towels. Wished we had time to enjoy the fire pit but enjoyed the BBQ on our front deck, amazing views!

10/10!!! As you roll up the driveway, you're greeted with an enclosure of mature trees and a stunning log home. The log home and accommodations on the property overlook the breathtaking backdrop of Moberly Mountain. The log home is spectacular, and the property provides peace and relaxation. The hot tub, robes and bonfire pit are excellent for guests. Lucille's hospitality blew away my husband and me during our stay. Lucille is by far the BEST host we have ever had. She makes you feel at home and even helped book tickets for our excursion. The cherry on top was the waffle board Lucille made us in the morning! We will never forget our incredible stay at Moberly Lodge.

We loved the log cabin style of this property set in the beautiful wilderness! It was only 7 min from the town of Golden so super easy to get there. Lucille was a wonderful hostess and made us a fabulous breakfast! It was so nice to have breakfast included. We had a great sleep on comfortable beds. A really cozy and beautiful property.

nice, clean lodge, adequate room size, cozy room but no television, friendly and nice staff.

We booked the Kicking Horse Cabin for our vacation at Moberly Lodge for three days. The hosts Lucelle and family were excellent taking care of us. They keep the property immaculate and the hot tub was a nice touch. We especially loved how close the lodge is to the attractions in Golden. Will definitely recommend the place to anyone planning to visit Golden.

We stayed in one of the cute little cabins. Perfect for our family of four. We were on a ski weekend so had lots of gear...nice to be able to spread out and have a small kitchen. Very comfy beds!

Best place to stay close to the National Parks

The stay in Moberly Lodge was hands-down the best we could have arranged for our trip to Canada. The lodge itself is gorgeous - the massive logs and the homely, warm fittings and furniture gives the place an amazingly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and the terrasse was great even in bad, rainy weather. The jacuzzi helps to relax after a long day of hiking. But the best of the place are the owners themselves, Lucile makes the best breakfast I have ever enjoyed on any of my travels and the looked well after my coeliac girlfriend. Even when leaving too early for breakfast, she would make us little breakfast bags for the way. Homemade muffins, tarts, pancakes... it was delicious. We have stayed for 6 nights and thought it might be risky to stay this long at just one place, but we know better now and if we knew before, we would have stayed much longer. There is still so much we want to do in the three surrounding national parks, that I am sure, we will come back! Well done guys, we loved it!

The log cabins have a feeling of really being close to nature. We loved the hospitality of the owners. There were lots of places to leisurely hike in and around the props!!

The Moberly is a beautiful log construction , very clean, quite and comfortable with an amazing mountain view . Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Excellent fresh breakfast. I would like to stay here again.

Amazing place

I would rate this place an 11 if I could. Superb staff and facilities. I didn’t want to leave. Breakfast was an amazing spread. They also have some later in the day snacks available for purchase and a small guest fridge.

Great place in the mountains. This property is a bed and breakfast type, but the bathroom is in every room. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. If you expect privacy, this place might not be for you, since outside of the room all other tenants wandering around. The deck is shared so at some point in the morning we couldn't open the window shade to see sunrise in bed due to the fact that people were having breakfast right outside the room.

Was a beautiful location.. Very quiet. We enjoyed the view of the mountains.

Accommodating staff, great looking lodge, well kept property

My husband and I loved the property. It was far enough out of Golden to be quiet and serene. Our room (I think most) had its own outside entrance to the wrap around porch which was special. We used the large hot tub and our host provided me an outstanding gluten free breakfast including home made scones. She was knowledgeable about celiac disease. The lodge is beautifully made with logs from the area.

Superb, relaxing ski/hiking lodge in quiet area

Superb “get away from it all” ski and hiking lodge & cabins. Excellent breakfast and dinner bites served thoughtfully and quickly with natural, quality ingredients - especially breakfast which is freshly cooked each day including fresh, home cooked bread daily. Property is about 15 mins outside Golden off the beaten track but easily accessible to/from highway 1. Rooms very comfortable and well appointed in a personal, homely type environment. Lots of games and jigsaws to entertain and there is a deck around most of the lodge. There are separate cabins in the grounds too. Husband and wife team provide very hospitable, relaxed approach making even a short stay (2 nights for us) very enjoyable.

Perfect little place. Cabin was amazing, great attention to details. We ordered the breakfast and it was fantastic. Great fire place and table outside. My only complaint is for myself... should have stayed a week.

Pure hospitality

This Lodge was fabulous, not only was the property great but the owners are outstanding. Their hospitality and willingness to accommodate our requests were what made it the perfect place to stay

Lucille and Jonathon are the lovely couple who run the lodge. The photos are beautiful but do not do it enough justice. The experience of being in the great room, with the high ceilings, beautiful log construction, by the fireplace, reading a good book is warming and cozy and just delightful. My room was upstairs (The only room upstairs) which had a nice view of the mountains and the full moon while I was there! Lucille‘s breakfast is wonderful; homemade granola bars, yogurt with fresh fruit, pancakes, and there’s always coffee and tea available. They were very helpful with suggestions on wildlife photography tours and other ideas for my stay. I lost one of my earrings while I was there down between the crack of their front deck. Jonathon was so sweet and shoveled away the snow, unscrewed the wood lattice work on the front of the deck and crawled under there to get my earring! It was very sentimental to me and they wanted to make sure that I got it back and I super appreciated that. They are both so kind and easy-going and sweet and make this feel like home during your stay and you will love it. It was snowing as I was checking out and I came out to my car to find Jonathan brushing off the snow for me. Now I’m sure they don’t do this for every customer but I do see that where they can be great hosts and make your stay special they will. It’s also a great centralized location between Glacier National Park and Yoho/Banff. I highly recommend Moberly lodge.

Just fabulous!

Super-quiet location within easy driving distance of Golden and lies between Yoho and Glacier national parks. The online photos of the lodge are a true reflection of the property; it is beautiful! Very homely and comfortable. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Lucille is a fantastic baker - every morning we were treated to freshly baked goodies for breakfast. Jonathan gave us some very useful tips for hikes around the area to avoid the crowds and tourist traps. Very good value for money. If we return to this area we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Great stay everything we needed. Homely, with mountain views. A great way to spend a couple of days in the Rockies.

Gingerbread cottage in the woods!

Quietly out of the way just a little off the beaten track is this little gem. We were lucky enough to book a way in advance & stayed in one of the separate lodges. Felt like I was in a fairy tale only the witch was nowhere to be seen! Great facilities & so cosy. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Nice hotel close to the mountains.

Very nice and quiet lodge in a great location. Only downsides are the kitchen not being well equipped and beds not very comfortable.

A perfect stay. The Moberly is a wonderful find. Tucked away 10 minutes from Golden, this B&B has everything you could want for a perfect stay. The accommodations are beautiful, breakfasts a delicious assortment of homemade and healthy items. The staff go out of their way to welcome you and personally see to all your needs.

Lovely log-cabin style building. No TV in the rooms. 10 km from town so evening meals a chore.
