It's been a while since we last visited Mission Hills and it was such a nice surprise to find that there are just so many more things to do here now. The place is still beautiful and relaxing and the services remained professional and engaging as before. With a quick ride on the free shuttle bus we got to this new shopping complex, MH Mall. Man, it had everything there. So many dining options, including our favourite, Haidilao hotpot. We walked around the mall and found some interesting places that our kids will definitely enjoy - giant ice rink, bowling, trampoline park, amusement games and even indoor horseback riding. It's crazy. It's just not something you can find in a HK shopping mall. We bought some nice cold drinks and took our friend's recommendation and walked to the nearby ecology park to try out their go-kart. The track was not that big but just as fun and thrilling, even the wife enjoyed it. They also had an indoor skiing slope and ice slides as well as an aquarium, which have all just been opened in the past few years. We can only imagine how tiring we'll get if the kids were here with us. We took a stroll in the greenery that surrounds the entire Mission Hills at dusk. It's just nice to get away from the city and enjoy the sunset and the beauty of nature. It's now so easy to get here from HK with the MTR or high-speed rail. With the young ones being so active most of the time, weekend trips to Mission Hills may just become a regular thing for our household.
Very nice stay. The Hotel is perfect for family with young children. They takes care of children’s needs at every aspect. I would definitely come again.
The room is not clean. There are dead bugs in the bathtub, black mold on the airconditioner, the faucet leaks and the shower shoes are dirty! The tile is cracked in the bathroom.
Nice environment
We extended our stay
Paradise on Earth
This property is amazing! It is like visiting a golf museum! From the moment of arrival to the final check out, the staff attend to every possible detail. Tom Zhang, the concierge is exceptional with regards to his personal knowledge of the Resort! He is very accommodating and provided a personal tour upon my arrival! He should be awarded an award of excellence!
Relaxing in SZ
fantastic hotel. it's on a large campus so it would be nice if they could give you a walking tour or take you around in the golf cart to get you more familiar with the grounds. There is a golf course but I haven't seen it. It would be cool if they could do something to encourage use of it by the folks like me who aren't golfers but would try it out. I'm here in December so the water is too cold but the pool is fantastic; they have 2. There are several spots in the gardens for relaxing. The gym could use a make over but it's adequate. I paid $5 USD for a diet coke in the lounge! Yikes! Staff is nice and they are English speaking. They have a business center, was handy when i needed a printer; had to pay of course but it was useful. Free shuttle bus that can take you to the mall is very convenient!
Spectacular golf course views, pools, golf club and property
very good for family trip. remember to bring swimming hat!
Staff was nice. Shuffle bus service made everything very convenient. Husband and I have a good time there.
Mission Accomplished
Always a good experience
No bath robes, no plastic laundry bags in the room
Mission hills resort shenzen is a wonderful hotel with reasonable prices. They have 12 golf courses in the property and if youre a golfer this place is paradise. The rooms are huge with golf course views. I would like to thank maggie and her team for their hospitality. Would defenitely recommend this hotel
Would not go back.
Had a problem with the shower bracket on the first night and stopped at the front desk to ask them to fix it in the morning as I was not feeling very well. Had a bowl of soup and returned to the room....here is the maintenance man and the concierge in my bathroom at 9pm with the bracket all apart on the shower floor. They tell me he has to get a part and will fix it in the morning....they leave with water and dirty boot prints all over the shower and bathroom floor! The next morning I go down for breakfast around 7:30 and within 20 minutes I had the worst food poisoning I have had in years. Of course at 9am the maintenance man arrives with the concierge and manager to fix a $10 shower bracket! I actually passed out while they were working and was on the bed when the manager woke me up and tells me the maintenance man needs to use the electric drill....I told him no, why not change my room and then decided I had all of my things already unpacked and told him if they had an empty room, get the repair man to go over there and unscrew the bracket to replace mine and the he could spend all day fixing the cheap bracket. Boom, everything was OK and they all left. Unfortunately they left the bathroom like the night before with water and dirty shoe prints all over the shower floor and bathroom floor. Absolutely unacceptable.
Great golf, fantastic, huge, luxurious rooms.
Luxurious, large rooms ideal if traveling with toddlers. There are kids activities on site with plenty to keep them entertained. Large outdoor pool area and nice lounge bar. Only criticism is if you use a pram/stroller, it's not easy to get around inside the hotel facilities as too many stairs and a lack of access, although reception areas etc are all accessible. Shuttle service to local mall which has amazing facilities for toddlers with lots of good restaurants. The mall also has a lot of facilities for kids, bowling, gaming and amazing looking trampling sports facility. The golf shops on site are extensive, played World Cup Course which was nice but green were much slower than expected from a Championship course and it's a very forgiving layout. Disappointed with the standard of hire clubs for this level of resort.
Excellent Hotel would recommend to anyone!
Have stayed here numerous times and always left with a great feeling and wanting to come back! I couldn't find one negative comment to make. Fantastic Resort Hotel and amenities!
Nice hotel, good for family
Hotel room is clean and spacious. it's my second time here, have a lot t to do and eat at the MH mall nearby.
Very Nice Hotel, Exceptionally Helpful Staff
A very nice hotel with fantastic facilities. I received excellent help from all the staff there. Laura, Colin, Alan, & Tom & are the only names I remember, buy everyone working there, were all fantastic. I'm looking forward to getting back there.
Easy access
Quiet hotel in an old town, close to art museum. Easy and convenient shuttle bus to Hong Kong port
if it has a indoor swim pool that could be great.
Spacious room and nice hotel staff
Spacious room and nice hotel staff
The hotel room was super super super huge
Room was very surprisingly huge, with a living area, walk in wardrobe, 2 queen size bed sized bed with a huge bathroom with shower and tub. More than enough for one person, big for two. The whole resort is scenic and nice shuttles between the mission hills mall and mission hills dongguan. Don't play golf but definitely seems like a very popular course, being award winning and all. The resort should look forward to developing more offerings around the area though, for example transport to the main shenzhen city or more food choices and/or shopping.
Piecefullness in the middle of the noise.
It is really beatiful resort. Beatiful area and property. A great place.
Bad WiFi is the only comment that I have which is negative!
Strange place
Very strange experience... Overall it wasn't bad at all, but: no napkins and fruits in the room, no salt for bath (bath is big enough though), cold floor (carpet only around the bed), 3 lamps not working/blinking, cold food ordered from restaurant (delicious, but microwave oven in the room would be very appreciated) - all of these were far beyond our expectations about a hotel rated as a 5 star one. Still it was cheaper than a regular 5 star hotel. Kids summer camp located here is the last thing I'd like to have in my place of relaxing; and generally the place was a bit overcrowded. Doesn't it make sense to double the price and, what is most important, guests' feeling?
Great but bad internet
Good stay nice place but internet was very bad so if you need hi speed this will be an issue
Nice relaxing 3 days trip.
They upgraded us. Feel lucky.
Lovely Retreat in China
I enjoyed my stay at Mission Hills and found almost everything satisfactory. Rooms are clean and many of them have views of the golf course with balconies. My main complaint is room service. The menu is not as diverse as other well known hotel chains. After 10 days in China it is nice to come back after a long day working in factories and have a Western style dinner.
Great hotel excellent service
This is a very comfortable hotel with very friendly staff and excellent facilities if you intend to play golf book your golf package in advance as booking while you are there is very expensive. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Transport arrangements, shuttle and taxi access really needs top be improved at the resort for guests without cars.Otherwise an excellent experience.
Nice and quiet to recuperate for a busy biz trip
Overall, the hotel is clean and nice. No mosquito or unpleasant pests like some resorts. The only problem for us is that we don't play golf. To get in and out of the resort, you need to arrange separate transportation.
NICE GETAWAY FROM THE CITY
Very nice hotel for family with young kids.lot of activities.however Pool Lifegard did not notice that my son was about to drown.should have more seats beside the pool.
One of our favorites!!
This is my 3rd time at this hotel and it never disappoint. Posh rooms, service is superb and my kids love the swimming pool. Last visit was almost two years ago and everything looks so different now. Previously it was just a golf resort but now, there's a new huge shopping mall which just opened. Also a Hard Rock hotel opposite the mall which is still under construction, look forward to visiting again nxt year when it's ready as we had so much fun in the one at Orlando. Hope this one brings us new Rock'n roll experience!
Only 35 minutes away from Shenzhen City centre
I used to stay in hotels @ downtown Shenzhen, thought it would take a while from airport to here, but 35mins was not bad at all, going straight into the resort after getting off highway, nothing compared to the pain of stucking in downtown Shenzhen traffic. The resort is huge and relaxing. They have my room upgraded to one with golf course view. Didn't get a chance to play their golf course but hit some balls at the driving range. The little restaurant - Patio right next to the driving range is pretty cool for a couple of beers with my buddies. I will for sure take my wife and kids with me next time for a real family vacation.
Great food and facilities
Seems like they are building a huge shopping mall outside the resort. Looks really nice, now my wife and kids know where to go... Heard there will be couple of new restaurants opening as well in the mall. Can't wait.. I know it's a bit distant from city but I guarantee there's no place in Shenzhen impresses you with such great environment. A eco sport park is opened on the other side of the resort, the securities were training patrol dogs in the afternoon, very interesting.
Good for golf but not for food
I'm sure if you like golf this is a good hotel, however if you don't it is very isolated. That would not bother me if the food was any good but it's not.
Dreamworld of luxury away from shenzhen
I felt like some oligarch in a gated dream world .Giant Luxury mansions were all around this hotel that even had a familyworld minimart. If you want to be in total luxury away from the busy Shenzhen and have 100% service this is the place to go.
Great hotel on beautiful golf courses.
Great hotel on beautiful golf courses. Golf is the primary reason to stay with 8 championship courses. Central location to my business visits. They need more and bettter restaraunts and many are being built now just outside the resort, but they won't be done for a while.
We can not stay any more only one night .We payed 12days. Because there is golf resort .So everywhere we eat smell of Agricultural. Orther things very good. Very kindness clean room .etc.
Home away from Home
What higher compliment can someone give than to say that Mission Hills is my home away from home. I travel to China frequently. Each visit has me spending a few days at "MH". It is there that I am greeted so wonderfully by the staff who have become my family, over the years. Granted, this is a 'Chinese Golf Resort and Spa" and guests may not find everyone speaking English to their satisfaction. However, if one speaks slowly and clearly, they will understand and if, for some reason, they do not - they will find someone who will. This is the largest golf resort in the world and what the Chu family and their staff have done is truly remarkable. Yes, it is expensive to play. It is expensive all over China to play golf. Of course, you can buy golf shoes and shirts at a fraction of the cost of those sold in the most extensive pro shop in the world. But this is a place to relax, rest, play golf on some very good courses and, if one chooses, have very nice spa treatments. The rooms are immaculate, large, comfortable, and luxurious. The Chinese food of the highest standard and quality and the Western food in the Mountain Cafe, certainly, more than acceptable. Again, this is a Chinese Private Club and satisfying the membership is of the utmost importance. If we, as foreigners, are patient, tolerant, and polite....Mission Hills will be an experience you will not forget......grw
Excellent service but restaurants so so
Very nice resort hotel w/excellent hotel services, staff are very nice & helpful, except restaurants food are so so. Room is very big & spacious, 4 ft twin beds are comfortable, nice balcony views ~ very impressed but bathing towels seem not that clean. 2 swimming pools are also good.
Business Turned Pleasure
Great place to stay now that it is remodeled. Though its far for some it is the best place to stay for business or golf if you are from the states.
great service
Inside comfortable, but far from everyday life. Golf courses design is great, only greens shpuld be faster.
Beautiful golf resort
I don't golf. I was in the area on business and this is an excellent hotel as a business base as well as for a golfing holiday. The service is good. The service in China is not up to Japanese or Thai standards, but is good nonetheless. The room are specious, new and clean.
Great room but that's about it
The problem with staying at a hotel with 5 stars is that you, of course, expect everything to be up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. Which, Mission Hills sadly isn't. The good things first. The room is huge with an excellent bed. The shower is amazing and the bathtub is big and even fits a tall person. Everything in our room worked, execpt the fridge but that wasn't such a big deal for us. There's a big balcony and everything is very quiet. The aircon works well too. Upon checkout the staff was very helpful even though there was a slight issue with the bill. But that's about it. We booked a shuttle bus from Hong Kong for 140 hkd each, which turned out to be a car and not a bus. Seating 6 people, they crammed 7 people in with the result that we had to sit pretty much on top of each other for one and a half hours. Not worthy of a 5 star hotel. Checkin was troublesome, with the staff's English so poor it was hard to communicate. The staff mistakenly told us that we could go have breakfast when we checked in, during which we were presented with a bill, even though it was included in our room. Obviously they made a mistake which is fine, but the staff and managers handled things in an unpolite and rude manner and kept harrassing us during breakfast. On top of that the breakfast wasn't that great, the breakfast room was freezing cold (people were wearing jackets inside) and there was construction noise going on during the whole thing. Not worthy of a 5 star hotel. The hotel manual said that there would be a pool, which turned out to be closed. It also said there would be a sauna and steam room, which it turned out you had to pay 50 rmb per person to enter. Things from the minibar were grossly overpriced and when we went to one of the hotel's restaurants for dinner we were presented with a charge of 10 rmb for hot water and 12 rmb for the tiniest bowl of peanuts that we didn't even order. I've lived in China for several years and seen all kinds of scams but never have I had to pay for hot water. Again not worthy of a 5 star hotel. Overall we enjoyed the room but we felt stuck in a hotel far away from everything, with hugely inflated prices, staff that couldn't communicate in English and the feeling that you couldn't do anything without paying for it.
Front Desk issues
Frustrating experience with the front desk. I was unsure if I needed 2 nights or 4. The front desk manager bullied (best description) into insisting the hotel was filling up fast and if I booked 2 nights I'd might get kicked out nights 3 and 4. 30 days in China up to that point and I just wanted some stability. It was clearly done to get 4 nights booked as the hotel was empty. Then, price was considerably cheaper on Expedia than booking w/ hotel direct (sorry Expedia- a factory booked the room for me direct - ORIGINALLY) So I opened my laptop and booked w/ Expedia while he watched. Told him the reservation would be coming soon, can I have my room key. He then gave me a room key for a room on the original booking ! Then they asked me to change rooms about an hour later (remember the place is empty- lots of room) Apparently the factory had booked me a better room than basic and through the cluster of the front desk I was sent to this room. All told- a miserable check in experience. My mood that day may have played a role, but I still felt the 4 nights was a bunk call and he could have easily left me in the room that apparently was better than the one I ended up with. In the end I stayed only 2 nights and paid for 4 !. It will be my last time staying here, and I've stayed many nights before. Unfortunate.
Elegance in China
Mission Hills is, perhaps, the best hotel-spa-golf resort, not only in China, but in the world. I was treated royally and in a facility whose rooms were larger than anywhere else, elegant, well-appointed, comfortable and relaxing. The inclusion of the buffet breakfast, in the rate, is a bonus. One can skip lunch after partaking of everything from congee to steak and potatoes. Anyone traveling to the Shenzhen area would be remiss to stay anywhere else.grw
Great Golf, Great Food and Relaxation!
Had a few days of business and a few days of leisure here. Everything was great and 5 Star by USA standards. Multiple courses designed by top PGA golfers. Very hot in the summer but worth the trip. Not much to do outside the resort, but hey I wasn't here to sightsee or shop. Just work and a little playtime. Will return next chance I get!
Enjoy
Sangat ennjoy menginap sabil golf
A very pleasant experience staying here. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again.
Good
Very spacious and well equipped. Breakfast is also good with a wide variety of choices. The resort hotel is suitable for family with kids.
my kids loves this hotel very much, the environment is good and relax.

They really shouldn’t be called a 5-star hotel. The staffs are nice and friendly but the service is not yet up to the international standard. I would have considered staying there again for work if they could improve their in-room service. Apparently all their restaurants shut down early and their in-room service is outside food delivery service, everything comes in plastic bags. Trust me you don’t see this in any 5-star hotel.
