Arrived late at night via a €30 taxi ride!! Reception staff were very helpful and gave us a bottle of water to take to the room. Hotel is situated next to a garage forecourt, no shop at the garage and the restaurant attached is also closed. Rooms very poor and dated. Used the sound of the air con to drown iut the music from the venue opposite. Brwakfast was offered at €5 but didnt take up the offer based on what we had seen so far. Used for just one night stay...and at iver £100 i would again.

Photos do not match the rooms. Outdated, cracked walls, beds are very old and can feel the shape where people have been sleeping for years. Fridge barely works and needs a chain to keep closed. Rooster, dogs barking and planes all night.

OK for the last night stay before departure flight

The hotel is quite worn, but clean. Beds reasonably comfortable, water in the shower warm, etc. Do not expect much from breakfast. Located outside the city on a thoroughfare, there's not much places to eat, but we were concerned about parking and proximity to the airport - it is indeed a few minutes drive. Definitely on the plus side - friendly service at the reception.

No water in the hotel in the evening. Poor air conditioning. Beware of restaurant… found aluminum foil in the pasta and not so much as an apology. Wine listed on the menu was not stocked. Substitute lauded as good and local was awful. The receptionist was the only breath if fresh air. Stay away!

Not satisfied

Honestly I expected a better and cleaner room given the price we paid. Including breakfast a 100 euro stay calls for a better service and level of cleanliness.

Stayed because close to airport, however was 2 bus rides to terminal or €22 taxi ride. Air con not effective very little sleep. Also barking dog in adjacent room. Restaurant overpriced. No facilities nearby. ‘Private beach’ is shared with very run down unfriendly butlins type operation across a main road. Good for business travellers with own transport, avoid for vacation or airport

Had a good stay with a nuce cafe next door and gas station for convenience. Near the Catania airport.

Only 10 minutes from airport so convenient for late night flight. Basic but great for overnight stay. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast fine. Pizzeria next door open late and was a good find.

First the positives: clean hotel, friendly staff and excellent dining room (one of the beat seafood meals of our trip to Sicily.) Negatives: 21€ taxi to airport (no shuttle) and a dodgy, dirty neighbourhood (located just past what apears to be a jail.) Probably would have cancelled and stayed in Central Catania, but hotel's cancellation policy prevented that. We had adjoining rooms that were clean and comfortable.

The location is terrible; the room has a weird smell; the restaurant downstairs has different menus for locals and tourists and the food is overpriced.

The staff very friendly, extremely helpful, and the best part about the hotel. I didn’t like that the bathroom window wouldn’t close allowing bugs to fly in, and the flimsy shower curtain clinging to you. Overall was a good stay.

Great view of Mt. Etna. We ended up with two adjoining rooms, which was a little confusing at first, but it was great.

The staff were very attentive to our needs. The restaurant was nice and clean. There was a lot of parking behind the hotel. Very easy access to the private beaches.

Excellent location, right across the road from the beach. You get a pass to the beach for staying at the hotel. Room was small but very clean and the bathroom had been recently updated. Elevator is incredibly small, just enough room for 2 people and 2 bags to cram in. Fuel station right in front of the property, a nice amenity for those who are returning a rental car. Gated parking. We had dinner at the restaurant -- it was excellent.

Breakfast was not very good - bread was stale and hardly anything other than sweets.

Good hotel, next to beach and airport.

Stayed here so we would be close to the airport as we had an early morning flight. Staff was great, good service and friendly. The restaurant was excellent. Close to the sea and beach. Older hotel, but everything we needed for one night. Bed was a little hard and there were some noisy guests but that can be expected. Would stay here again.

Nice beachside hotel near runway

We visited the Hotel Miramare in Catania on the winter season. The area is near beach what is shielded by other resorts so entering the beaches can be troublesome. Also we noticed lot of clubs in the beach area what might indicate rich (noisy) nightlife during the season. There is a gas station and small bakery next to the hotel where you can get late or early snack 24/7. Take off and landing planes will make noise as the hotel is almost at the start of a runway. Even though this is near the airport, you will need to go all the way around through Catania to enter the airport. Hotel breakfast was served from 9am and it was not possible to get it earlier, so consider this if you book this for your early flight.

This was a lovely place to stay. It was near the water and we went for a walk along the beach which was very near.

Hotel was ok for a one night stay after arriving in the evening. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was ok. The taxi fare from the airport was a rip off at 33€. Then 22€ back to the airport to pick up the hire car.

Hotel staff was very welcoming, parking was convenient and the restaurant next door was awesome.

Terrible!

The hotel is very clean however the condition is out of date alike 80s vintage house. Location is quite far from the airport and have to take a taxi in order to get there. Find other places to stay if you wish for comfort.

We needed somewhere to stay overnight and the hotel was clean and functional for its purpose. As we arrived late the hotel appeared in darkness and looked closed so more lighting would be beneficial after normal hours.

funny hotel, sort of close to the airport. the rooms are in terrible condition, but clean and the upkeep is surreal. there were no toilet papers when we checked in, and they asked me to come down and get one. later realizing there were none left in the hotel, the receptionist kindly provided me with one of his own. in sum, cheap rates, really bad rooms, and honestly incapable staff.

Very conveniently close to the airport of Catania

The hotel is located along the coast, few km from Catania downtown. We chose it because it is very close to the airport and stayed only one night before leaving Sicily. A bus to Catania runs every 20-30 minutes along the main road, therefore it is very easy to reach the city center without having to use the car. We did not exploit it, but the hotel offers the entrance to the beach private facilities. The room was clean and overall comfortable. The breakfast was average. Altogether a positive impression.

Convenient for one night stay when arriving on a late evening flight into Catania. Virtually underneath the flight path and fronting a noisy main road.

Perfect as a near airport hotel

The hotel was perfectly fine for us arriving in on an evening flight and not wanting to travel too far. We went to the bar next door for food but wish we had just eaten at the hotel as the menu looked nicer. The buffet breakfast set us up the next day. Hotel on main road and near airport so bit noisy. Won't rush back there but it served its purpose well.

chose this hotel to get to the airport for a very early flight from Catania...thank goodness....there was a fierce thunderstorm and so glad the hotel arranged for an early taxi (very competent) to get me safely to the airport quickly. Very clean, basic accommodation at a reasonable price. Just a little difficult to find the road that the hotel was on as there are so signs with street name ( but that was typical of Sicily). Hotel should post directions on site.

Hotel.com has the wrong address which defeated the purpose of staying so close to the airport! Streets in Catania are not all named nor found easily if they are.....it is also hard to find people who speak English, so it took us an age to find this hotel. You get what you pay for. The young man on reception was most helpful and friendly. He noticed on our Hotel Confirmation that the address was wrong! Is this a hotel.com or Miramare Hotel error? Given this error the GPS was useless and it was very frustrating and time wasting.

Nice hotel by the airport

I stayed here because I wanted to be on time for my morning flight. The room was comfortable, clean and everything functioned properly. There's a store/cafe/bar next door with snacks. Please note that despite being very close to the airport, there is no direct access to walk to the airport. A car or a flat-rate cab ride is necessary to reach this hotel from the airport.

Non ci sono elementi negativi specifici da rilevare. Struttura senza infamia ne’ lode, comunque valido appoggio nei pressi dell’aeroporto. Il prezzo mi sembra tuttavia lievemente sovradimensionato rispetto al livello della struttura.

La struttura è datata, c'è il minimo indispensabile per trascorrere una notte come abbiamo fatto, si trova a pochi passi dalla pista di decollo dell'aeroporto di Catania con quello che ne consegue. La colazione è molto buona.

Sauber aber für einen 3 Sterne Hotel ziemlich spartanisch eingerichtet. Das Mobiliar ist uralt und die Türe und die Wände lassen alle Geräusche durch. Man hört ziemlich alles. Die Umgebung ist sehr schlecht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln an die Stadt angebunden...aber wenn man nur ans Strand möchte, passt es 😊

Für Junge Mensche, die am Strand bis sechs Uhr früh Party machen wollen ist es ideal. Wenn man allerdings in der Nacht schlafen möchte, dann wird es eher sehr schwer. Wir haben es wegen der Nähe zum Flughafen gewählt, was aber nichts bringt, denn das Taxi muss trotzdem rund herum fahren, daß man wahrscheinlich in der City schneller ist.

Das Personal ist das Highlight an diesem Hotel! Wirklich gut Das Hotel selbst ist nun Mal vor allem eine günstige Absteige. Pro: Das Personal ist top! Flexibler als für diese Preisklasse erwartbar! Sehr günstiger Preis im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels der Stadt Bushaltestelle in der Nähe (Viale Kennedy), die direkt in die Innenstadt führt (Linie D) Con: - dafür, dass das Hotel in der Einflugschneise vom Flughafen liegt, bräuchte man zu Fuß trotzdem über 1h dorthin - keine direkte Bus-Verbindung zum Flughafen (Linie D in die Stadt und dort Umstieg) - es ist laut (Einflugschneise, Disco/Club in der Nachbarschaft, hellhörige Wände)

Buona posizione, si raggiungono facilmente il centro e le zone periferiche di Catania. Malgrado la vicinanza dell'aeroporto possiamo dire che il traffico aereo non disturba più di tanto. Albergo pulito e personale gentile. Da consigliare

Só para dormir rapidamente numa ida para o aeroporto. Hotel velho, mau conservado e pouco limpo. Ainda tínhamos no frigorífico a garrafa de sumo quase acabada dos anteriores hóspedes. A parte boa é que tem estacionamento grátis no local e é perto do aeroporto.

Das Hotel ist optimal, wenn man früh zum Flughafen muss. Sehr nettes Personal.

L'hotel merita un buon voto per quanto riguarda la camera, la reception e il parcheggio riservato. Purtroppo la nostra esperienza è stata rovinata dalla pessima gestione della sala ristorante, in particolare: - il buffet per la colazione non è servito del personale e i clienti toccano tutto( pinze, caraffe, posate) - i clienti davanti a noi si servivano al buffet senza mascherina e nessuno del personale gli ha detto niente, perché anche il cameriere NON indossava la mascherina

Buona scelta rispetto all'esigenza

Per la mia famiglia serviva una sistemazione vicino all'aeroporto perché la mattina dopo partivamo presto e il Miramare si è rivelato una buona scelta. La quadrupla presa, per quanto non proprio nuova, si è rivelata pulita e sufficientemente comoda. Il check-in e il check-out sono stati veloci e cordiali, inoltre ci hanno tenuto aperto il ristorante per la cena anche se siamo arrivati solo alle 21.45

Hotel discreto ,letto da sostituire completamente sfondati da migliorare,tutto l’interno

chambre classique ,salle de bain 4 m carré et surtout petit dejeuner tres decevant ,pain et croissants rassis ainsi que la patisserie. Le café est servi au bar (une seule tasse) quant au jus de fruits, boisson préfabriquée en carafe. Pour mon prochain séjour j'irai ailleurs.

Hôtel très très bruyant. Propreté limite (Serviettes de bain sales), salle de bain vétuste (support à serviettes réparé avec du scotch), pas de navette pour aller à l’aéroport qui se trouve à 8 minutes obligation de prendre un taxi (22€), climatisation inefficace obligé de dormir les fenêtres ouvertes pour avoir de l’air et du coup se faire attaquer toute la nuit par les moustiques. Je ne recommande vraiment pas cet hôtel Cher pour la qualité

Nie wieder!

Das Hotel ist leider aussen wie innen total heruntergekommen, renovationsbedürftig und hässlich. Wir hatten eigentlich ein Zustellbett gebucht, bekamen aber trotzdem nur 3 Betten. Wir waren zu viert... Das Wasser im Lavabo und der Dusche braucht ewig bis es abläuft und auf dem Boden lagen noch Sand und Haare von den Vorgängern. Die ganze Nacht hört man Musik der Discothek nebenan. Wir waren froh, nur eine Nacht gebucht zu haben und dies auch nur, weil wir einen frühen Flug hatten und das Hotel nahe am Flughafen liegt.

Pulita, molto efficiente. Vicina dal centro è a pochi passi dalla spiaggia. Mezzi di trasporto molto comodi e economici, unica pecca non purtroppo della struttura ma in generale sono i taxi molto cari. 25€ aereo porto / hotel Invece il pullman solo 4€ Per il resto la consiglio a tutti!

Gut für Zwischenübernachtung

Für eine Zwischenübernachtung gut geeignet (bei später Ankunft mit Flugzeug), soweit sauber und freundlich. Von der Umgebung her für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht geeignet (naher Flughafen mit Fluglärm) sowie in der Nacht beliebte Tankstelle samt Bar nebenan.

Per una notte di passaggio a Catania. Arrivato molto tardi in hotel. Personale molto cortese. Ampio parcheggio disponibile. Al check out il personale della reception molto preparato.

Gefallen hat mir die Nähe zum Strand. Man muss nur eine Straße überqueren. Leider ist die Straße auch nachts hochfrequentiert, so dass die Geräuschkulisse nachts etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist.

I only stayed one night, location close to airport and the central railway station was great. The woman in reception was very friendly and helpful! Only negative thing was a nightclub (I guess that’s what it was) close by, a little difficult to sleep with loud music. But I understand it’s not the hotel’s fault! :)

Utile e strategica per posizione e con il parcheggio auto a disposizione (che andrebbe migliorato con delle coperture). Lo staff alla reception è stato molto cortese e professionale anche nelle risposte e delucidazione. La colazione andrebbe migliorata un po' in qualità, la quantità ed il rimpiazzo sono stati più che soddisfacenti. Da tecnico direi che sarebbe il caso di dare una mano di colori vivaci alle stanze e di ammodernare i bagni.

Le personnel est agréable et chaleureux comme c'est un hôtel de passage car proche de l'aéroport. alors beaucoup de bruit dans les couloir a n importe quel heure. sinon Ok pour le reste

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, wäre sanierungsbedürftig. Laute Verkehrsstrasse, bellende Hunde am Abend und in der Nacht, Flugverkehr. Mageres Frühstück. Freundliches Personal, Lage wäre ohne den Lärm sehr gut, ausserhalb der Stadt.

Surpresa negativa com custos de táxi entre aeroporto - hotel - aeroporto (distancia ligeiramente superior a 2 Km) : 26 euro + 32 euros. Preços proibitivos. Hotel simples, com decoraçao antiga, banho razoável, staff simpatica, pequeno almoço simples mas bom. Custo do hotel de acordo com os serviços oferecidos.

Il punto forte dell'hotel e' a mio aviso il parcheggio privato gratuito. Bella reception e colazione nella norma. Le camera sono un po' datate, porte scheggiate, bagno non proprio all'altezza di un tre stelle. Consiglio vivamente l'utilizzo di in detersivo piu' profumato perche' entrando nella camera si percepisce un forte odore di disinfettante che non e' per niente gradevole.
