- This is not a 5 star hotel. This is a solid 4 star hotel. Do not book this if you are expecting any amenities or luxury that are expected by a 5 star, even in comparison to any of the 5 stars in Rio. This is below all of them. Book any of the others, I have visited several. - Terrible check in process, where I was charged significantly extra because I had accidently marked one person instead of two people for a room with a king bed. If you are booking one room, it should not make a difference if there are one person or two people in the room. - The room we checked into had a moth. We switched rooms. The new room had an ant infestation - hotel overall is run down for a 5 star. lacks the services, lacks the amenities. If this was a 4 star, it would be fine (nothing special), but considering the 5 star, you can absolutely do better.

Great and courteous Staff, clean and great place to stay

This property is in a great location. Very walkable and it felt safe. The buffet breakfast included with the room is fabulous. My complaint would be with the room . I choose a standard room because on Expedia it had a 9.8 rating. We were in room 413 and this room was very tiny. It did not even have a closet. I had to phone the front desk and ask for hanger and a rolling rack to hang clothes. There is also a charge of approximately $2.00 dollars to make a cup of coffee in your own room. The linens on the bed were not premium and there were no robes or even a hair dryer. I had to call the front desk. Also there is not even 1 hooking the room anywhere . There is no where to hang a towel to dry..I did let management know that there was mold on the bathroom wall.. they were very apologetic.

Love the location and the service here, with excellent rooms and comfortable beds. I am very picky traveler that is hard to please, but this place truly exceeded our expectations.

My daughter stayed at the Windsor Martinique hotel, partner of the Miramar totally booked. She wasn’t allowed to join us at the pool and to visit us in our room.At the same time , she was allowed to take the breakfast with us .

Enjoyed our stay, the staff are amazing, helpful, proactive and sorted out issues we had with the room. Your in the heart of Copacabana with all the hustle and bustle thats associated it with, yet walking distance from the more chilled out vibes of Ipanema. Breakfast was great, large selection, topped up regulary and the staff are always at hand to help. Rooms need a bit of an update but overall amazing stay and equally amazing experience of Rio!!!

Very convenient to the beach

Staff is unmatched! They make this property amazing; from the front desk (JoAn), to the bellman (Jean and another who works in the evenings… young, short sorry I forgot his name), housekeeping, even the engineer who fixed my safe! I have not one complaint! I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat!

An acceptable 5-star for Brazil

Small hotel but very comfortable. The superior exclusive room was spacious and the bathroom very nice. The room was very comfortable. We did have to ask for a kettle though. The gym was disappointing as it had very little facilities and was outdated. I didnt try the pool area but whilst small it seemed adequate for the area. The breakfast reastaurant had a nice atmosphere with a great view on the avenue but the food selection and quality was disappointing. Overall for the hotel standards in Brazil, it was an acceptable 5-star.

The service was excellent, with the welcome glass of sparkling wine 🥂 housekeeping staff , reception, server all were very friendly. Everyday chocolates in the room and a fresh bottle of water, my room was on the 13th floor had a great view over the Copocabane beach 🏖️ I just loved the room & had a great vacation ❤️❤️

Our flight was leaving at 11:00 pm and they accommodated us to leave the hotel at 7:00 pm For a small fee. Which was great and we don’t have to way 10 hours at the airport We really appreciate it. Thank you!!!

This Miramar by Windsor is in an excellent location, it’s spotlessly clean, the staff are so helpful, the breakfast was fantastic, the pool and pool bar were lovely and the showers in the room were so wonderful. Nice touches like chocolates in the room every day and a fresh bottle of water. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This is the best hotel in Rio. Exceptional service and good facilities for a medium size hotel in a central location by Copacabana beach. Their breakfast buffet and service is the best I have had anywhere. The Alloro restaurant is an excellent Italian restaurant with fine cuisine and fair prices for the quality and service. I stay at this hotel 3 times a year for business and have never been disappointed.

All the staff were so friendly and welcoming! The food at Alloro is phenomenal and the views from the pool are unmatched in Rio.

It has been some years since I stayed at the Miramar hotel. The service and quality.of care is not to be beat. Desk clerks, door men, the lady.at the breakfast check in were uniformly polite and nowledgeable. It reminds me of a hotel in Europe, but the rooms are bigger. A great stay.

Located on Copacabana beach so a great location for access to restaurants, bars, shopping and transportation. The view from the rooftop pool/bar is fabulous. Room was really nice, clean and relatively quiet. Food was wonderful at the rooftop bar and in the restaurant downstairs. Staff spoke excellent English and were helpful with all our needs. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Miramar. The breakfast buffet is incredible, the staff is super nice and helpful. The hotel is on the beach, on a large boulevard lined with hotels, apartment buildings and restaurants. Highly recommended.

I was able to check-in early for a 50% rate after arriving at the hotel at 6.30am. The service was excellent, even letting me borrow an adaptor to charge my phone etc.. Hotel room was very nice, if a little small and with no view. Pool bar was excellent, giving a great view of Copacabana beach.

Great value & location

Superior service from front desk check in to room service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. For the price, excellent value. Please be aware, "sea view" room is slightly misleading depending on floor. Will not see much of the ocean as you look out the window on a lower level. These rooms are facing another building and do not have balconies. The best views are from the pool, one of the best features. Small, but nice. Pool drink and food service readily available. The restaurant on site is very good too!!

Hotel is located across the Copacabana beach and also provides towels, chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Breakfast was excellent, broad choice, friendly and responsive staff. Swimming pool is on the top floor with beautiful view of Copacabana beach and also Sugarloaf mountain.

Great overall staff from the front security and front desk. Visitors will always feel safe staying at this hotel 24 hours a day and they are always available with your needs. Housekeeping was spot on with daily services. Kept the room very clean. This hotel is highly recommended for anyone visiting Copacabana. I thought this hotel was fantastic and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel is close to the beach, bus and metro stations and the infinity pool is to die for with the views of Copacabana beach and sugar loaf mountain. My only complaints would be the lack of equipment choice in the gym and the lack of beds by the pool, otherwise no complaints and certainly a great choice of hotel.

Staff was excellent. We had an early flight and it was raining, to my surprise our room was available for early check-in. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff at front desk were excellent with assisting us on activities we wanted to partake in. The house keeping were excellent with keep up of my room and went above and beyond to provide a great service. The restaurant staff were very accommodating of us while we wanted to try new dishes and recommendations. Overall this hotel and its staff were amazing, and i would definitely stay here again as well as recommend to others.

Small hotel, It felt quite pokey and confined. They employ a massive amount of staff in the lobby area. it is clean and tidy and the staff are attentive. The pool area is nice, the pool is clean However, it's definitely not a 5 star hotel.. its a decent hotel,... maybe 5 star by Brazilian standards, I dont know. but not 5 star by worldwide standards.

It was just fine. Service was good, but the hotel in general feels like a 4 stars. We are a couple that stayed in all the 5 stars in RJ previously and we can certainly say the the hotel had nothing special to be recommended by us. Staff was mostly very pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay at the Miramar. The staff was courteous and attentive, addressing all of our requests. However, I do have one concern: the pricing of the mini bar felt excessive. I've never been charged for coffee in a hotel room before, especially not $5 per Nespresso pod!

Great hotel right on Copacabana beach. Get a room with a sea view for beautiful views every morning. Nice rooftop pool where you can eat, drink, chill and swim with views of the beach. I didn't opt for breakfast. Aye in the Italian restaurant for lunch which was also very good. Overall a great stay.

Overall good experience but there were a few hiccups. I was spoiled by my stay at other hotels in Brazil in that I got used to having large smart TVs with Netflix capability. My room here didn’t have that. I found the room service options to be very limited and not especially tasty. I was disappointed that my first day there the maids forgot to clean my room, even after I’d returned from an eight hour day out. With that said, it’s Rio so for most folks watching TV and eating in the hotel room isn’t a big deal. I will commend their breakfast service though, very nice food, good service, and a great view of the beach (especially sunrise).

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The breakfast, the sauna, the pool... easy access to the beach....the staff...the locals...you name it, it was all amazing!!! We simply were not ready to go home!!

This Hotel is right at Copacabana Beach, at my favourite strip. The staff speak English, are friendly. The hotel is considered 5 star- which may beat misleading compared to European standards, but it's comfortable, and clean. The puzzling thing I observed is the inconsistency in housekeeping: the way the clean i different every time, what gets refilled is different (bathroom stuff),wether there will be a complimentary bottle of water or not etc. I have stayed many times int his hotel, often for long stretches at a time, often with several bookings consecutively as travel plan kept changing and I would need to add extra days. So technically each of those are different bookings (as sometimes different rooms). As an Expedia VIP you could be eligible for room upgrades and complimentary drink. Sometimes it was offered, other times not. There would be a nice fruit plate delivered to the room , most of the times, twice not. part of coming back to the same place is for the sake of knowing what to expect when you are traveling and away from home and like a it this feeling of "home". Too bad this part is not to be counted on.

Hotel is beautiful, and we had an amazing ocean view. We could see Copacabana from end to end, as well as Sugarloaf mountain. The rooftop pool was a great place for drinks, and the (somewhat small) infinity pool provided great heat relief. Excellent customer service everywhere in the hotel!

Customer service was fantastic. We could check in early and check out slightly later to accommodate our late flight. Everyone from the reception staff, catering, and beach team to the cleaning staff were so kind and helpful. The service from every person at Miramar stood out to us over other hotels we have visited. The only downside I’d say is that the pool is relatively small, and the rooftop is generally too crowded to enjoy, but you can clearly see the size and area restrictions in the photos before booking/visiting.

The hotel is great. The restaurant serves good quality Italian food and the view from the rooftop is amazing. The bed was not that comfortable, certainly the hotel can invest more on beds
