This place gives you a true Italian experience. The staff are super friendly and accomodating and we had an amazing stay here! Also, the croissants in the morning are to die for!!!
The staff was so kind and the room so comfortable. I never could figure out how to turn the heat up(my daughter runs very cold) but the room was incredible. The lift only fits two people max and you need to be very fit to walk those stairs. I did it once, ha. It is very close to many sites and restaurants. They stored our luggage on the last day until we were ready to leave.
A very nice hotel with a lot of character in an absolutely perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cozy.
Service was amazing! Valentina was so helpful and knowledgeable. From booking tickets, to best places to go, she helped with everything. So personable, felt like she was a longtime friend. The room is spacious, the shower was delightful, and the balcony’s just topped it off. Will be returning!
I will stay this place again in future
Comfortable and close to everything.
Great location with very friendly staff. This accommodation is about 4-6 rooms, taking up an entire floor of a building. Not a traditional hotel. Front desk is only there until early afternoon. Very friendly, safe, stocked mini fridge with beer and wine. Large bathroom and good balcony. They drop off a croissant each morning, there is an espresso pod machine in the room, but no formal breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay. I think I got a few spider/mosquito bites when I awoke. We left the window open at night for cool air and I saw some cobwebs in the top of the room between the traditional looking rafters.
I had a great time staying at this property. The staff was great at giving us a lay of the land and even marked up a map of all the top attractions. I enjoyed my time here and would stay again.
Location close to Pantheon. Excellent helpful staff on reception. Our room 202 was large but eccentric. Shower had flashing disco lights but water was constantly hot then cold. Some wall plugs stopped working for a few hours then became active. This happened every day! Overall the accommodation was fine for 4 nights!
Great room in a great area, can easily walk to a lot of the major tourist sites, like the pantheon or colosseum, as well as many restaurants and coffee shops. Not very sound proof though so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs! Still highly recommend this place though
Most helpful staff. Valentina and Lorenzo.
A beautifully appointed property with exceptional hosts! Though we knew reception was only open until 1 pm and had clear directions on how to gain entry to the secure building on our own, the gentleman working that day waited for us when our train arrived late by one hour and gave us wonderful touring and restaurant recommendations. Inside the marble tiled room we had access to a free mini bar with a small bottle of prosecco, sodas, beer and water. Every morning to go with our espresso (Nespresso machine with capsules provided) fresh, buttery cornettos arrived at 8 am. Many trattoria, restaurant and shopping options close by. It is also right in the heart of many historic sites to see, easily walkable if no mobility issues, otherwise the old-world charm bricked streets may be difficult. There is a old style very small lift (if more than two bags you may want to go up separately) otherwise a walk up four flights. We usually walked down, and rode up (tired after long touring walks, lol!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our hosts, and highly recommend the Minerva Relais.
Staff was friendly. Property was located at a convenient spot and we were able to walk everywhere easily. Our room was clean and very comfortable!
The staff was very nice and helpful! Located very conveniently to all sights and walking distance was great
Nice and convenient
The staff are wonderful and the location is perfect!
Small little inn type place. Staffing limited from 7:30 am to 1 pm so if any issues you have to call someone. Staff on site very responsive when there. Fresh croissants every morning a plus and a free stocked refrigerator with drinks a nice plus. Had some minor issues with circuit blowing bug quick to correct Very good location just a few steps from Parthenon.
It was mis represented. It was a guest house. Poor area. Poor condition.poor quality of conditions. We left a day after,we were on the phone with Expedia agent for an hour nobody helped us. They took our money and we are going to dispute the charges with our credit card company. You guys have to pay me at least $900 back.
Very nice hotel. Highly recommend it. Location is amazing. Just be prepared if you have large luggage. The small elevator is interesting but it's manageable. The staff was very willing to assist.
Very nice room. Great staff. Easy in and out. It’s Rome!
Very convenient location close ro everything, nice staff, clean. Perfect to explore rome
Great
We had a fantastic stay at the Minerva Relais this week. Excellent communication from them throughout. We arrived after the reception had shut but very detailed and perfect instructions sent prior to arrival which made check in seamless. Very friendly staff who gave us all the inside knowledge on the best places to visit outside of the main attractions. The fresh croissants each morning were a welcome bonus. Rooms were clean and perfect for our needs. Would definitely stay again.
Fantastic hospitality!
Valentina made all the difference. She is warm and welcoming and very accommodating. The hotel felt safe and is very close to major attractions. The room was in excellent condition. We would definitely stay there again.
Best staff we ever encountered!
We arrived at the Minerva at around 12:30. We came from the train station in a taxi for about 15 Euros. We got to the door of the Minerva and one of the employees was walking in the door the same time as us, and provided helpful information for us as we went to check in. We got there during check in time, but the coded front door and the coded door on the fourth floor would have made check in easy even if we came after check in hours. When we got upstairs, the woman at the check in desk could not have been more helpful. She was very kind, and gave us great information and a map to help us move around Rome. She told us how our luggage could be held even after check out, and let us know that they would leave croissants for breakfast. They also provided bottled water for free in the room. The room was a very good size, and the bed was comfortable. If you are looking for any negative, it is that the water pressure in the shower was not very strong. That is the only negative I can give you. It is in a great location! I truly recommend staying here. We will definitely stay there again!
The room was great - like a typical hotel room. The property is an apartment building where they operate out of two floors so there are no common areas. I had trouble with the electronics in the room, but I was fine without them. The location is amazing.
It’s a local walk to all the major monuments. Rooms are clean and very cool during the summer heat. They even left croissants on our door every morning. Would definitely stay here again.
This property is centrally located near the Pantheon and excellent restaurants and gelatorias! The staff is super helpful and responsive via email. There is a Michelin Star restaurant across the street and a nice bar next door.
This hotel looked amazing. Staff was great and we were greeted by fresh croissants every morning. Perfect!
Amazing guest house! Our room was beautiful it had a window looking out onto a garden and a walkout terrace on the other side. Insuite coffee machine and croissant for breakfast was a nice touch. Walking distance to most places in old Rome. Hotel had easy checkin and room was available upon our arrival. It was very easy to take the bus from the train station. Bus stop is right around the corner that is a connecting point for most bus routes. They organized a driver to the airport for our departure who came on time. Trip was fabulous!! If I were in Rome again I’d definitely choose this place to stay. There was a leaking issue with the air conditioner, it was very very hot out so no fault of the hotel. They offered us another room to sleep in but we opened the windows and that was sufficient. It was great that they acknowledged our concern and gave us an alternative. I can’t say enough good things about this stay.
This hotel is on the top floors of an old/classic building. Rooms were remodeled with a touch of the old still showing through in a good way. Bedding was comfortable. We were left a small snack and fresh croissants in the morning. Air conditioning was perfect. The elevator/lift is old and only went to the floor under us. This hotel was within walking distance of the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish steps, Piazza Navona and many other sites in Rome. The hotel was able to arrange transportation for us from the airport to the hotel for a reasonable price. The driver was on time and friendly. However, he did not have change for the cash we brought so he got a big tip. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome.
A series of suites on the 4th floor of a building near the Pantheon. My suite was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The building also has a small elevator.
Everything was good
It is close to everything. It is clean and the staff are very nice and helpful. I stayed in 3 different hotels in 3 different cities in Italy but none of them were as good as this hotel as far as communication. I was surprised when I emailed them the first time with a question and they responded right away ( a person answered my email and not an automatic reply). The best thing about this hotel is the location and the staff.
Room was clean, Location was really good.
Long overdue on my review but hopefully this will help sway someone's choice. We absolutely loved it here . Felt like home! Very clean, housekeeping was so sweet and management was so friendly and helpful the buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everything was in walking distance and it was located very close to the police station so we felt even safer. Definitely should stay here if it's your first time in Rome!
The room was at the fourth floor. Decor was tasteful. Bed was comfortable and shower gel was amazingly frangrance. Valentina went above and beyond and made our stay even more special.
We could not have enjoyed our stay more! Valentina was amazing! From greeting us at check in and our room being ready early after a very long day of travel to realizing all the small details of the Minerva Relais. The room was lovely, the bathroom was huge. Security was outstanding. The location was fantastic! The minibar was so appreciated. And warm croissants in the morning? Come on! Could we be more spoiled? We will certainly return and wish our stay would have been longer! Thank you for an amazing stay!
Great stay
The location is excellent and the service is great. Pantheon is right next to it. The hotel is within a residential complex (top floor). Although the room I stayed is small, I am ok with it as there were only two of us and we only came back to sleep. The room is clean. Please note that the front desk is from 8am to 2pm. Overall good experience.
Very nice small property. Attentive staff. Nice perks in the room. Very quiet for a very busy location.
Perfect location. Walkable distance to many good places. Customer service was excellent.
Very easy check in and great location. Lovely staff. Valentina especially helpful in arranging taxi from airport and helping me with a lost phone issue!!
Like a little flat rather than a hotel Nice & cool Friendly staff Easy walking distance to historic Rome
Nice property and secure. Our room was clean and had a nice shower. They provided a croissant every morning. We were able to get around easily. Close to the Pantheon, everything else was walkable. Great places to eat close and even a supermarket.
Our accommodation at Minerva Relais was perfect for our family of three. There was plenty of space and the bathroom was huge compared to other hotels I've booked before. Every morning, we were left with croissants on our door and Valentina was always very helpful with suggestions on how to go about our day. The front desk is only open from 8-11am which did not bother us at all. The place is very quiet and there is a balcony from our room, and we loved hanging in there and people watch. Every day our room was cleaned, and we were given 2 bottles of water daily as well. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely book again!
Excellent hotel !
My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised about the nice accommodations that Hotel Minerva offered. Everything was clean and we could not ask for a better location. Walking distance from most historical cites; this hotel is just great for the price we paid. The personal are really helpful and courteous. We would definitely go back to this hotel.
Beautiful room. Valentina was wonderful and was so very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there very much and would stay there again if we come back to Rome.
Lovely Hotel, Plugged Up Drain
The room was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. Loved that they had four pillows on the bed. Croissants each morning delivered was a nice touch. Told the front desk the morning after we checked in that the drain in the shower was plugged up. They didn't fix it. The last morning we were there I needed to wash my hair. As I was about to rinse the conditioner out of my hair, I realized the shower was actually leaking out into the bathroom, and there was a lot of water in the bathroom. I had to get out with conditioner in my hair...put lots of towels on the floor...wait for the shower to drain some, and then get quickly back in to rinse off. Then I had to blow dry my hair in the bedroom so I didn't get electracuted! When we checked out, we told the front desk. As they came in to look, I got the feeling they thought we had done something wrong....even though we had previously told them. Drains don't get that plugged up that fast...it's probably been like that for awhile. I feel bad...Other than that, the hotel was lovely. Great location...quick lift...etc
Close to everything
Would give 6 stars if possible. Couldn’t be better! perfect location and cosy super comfortable room.
Clean, great location, walkable to many main areas, unique property!
Lovely room. Friendly staff. Great location. Loved having fresh croissants hung from our door handle every morning. Lots of steps but there is a lift. Wish it was sign posted better but once i was shown it there was no problem.
Amazing Stay
Amazing location, amazing staff and a beautiful room. We had a great stay at this hotel. We walked to everything in Rome from our hotel.
The property is very convenience ubicación the lady Valentina in the hotel help us to much
Fantastic location!! Right near the Pantheon but tucked away so it felt like a secret. I loved the nice touches, such as the croissant they leave for you each morning. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean however the walls are paper thin and I could hear the people in the room next door- almost clearly enough to make out what was being said on a phone call. Also because the room I had (4th floor) opened onto reception, during the night I could hear anyone coming in/out the main front door which is heavy & slams. Once I wore earplugs I slept fine but I mention it because I’ve never had to do that before, I usually sleep really soundly.
Beautiful room with spacious, clean bathroom. Lovely staff. Very helpful, friendly and efficient. Valentina is wonderful!
Property is in a great location. Staff were very helpful.
Very pleasant stay in a convenient location with very helpful and friendly staff. It’s a guest house so it is not the same as a hotel, but the rooms were great, the quirks were endearing, and the staff were fun.
Great central location. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were fantastic and extremely helpful and friendly. Even had a lift!
Great place to stay!
Was great! We had a really good time and Nicola the host during our stay was super friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the reception is on the 4th Floor so its a bit of a walk up the stairs if you do not like small elevators.
Good location to everything we wanted to see. Room was charming, AC was just adequate in the 36 degree C days. Comfortable and spacious in the room. We enjoyed our stay.
The place was so nice but highly recommend getting a taxi to the hotel because walking may only be a mile but a lot of the walk is uphill. The staff is super friendly and the location is extremely convenient to see all the sights!
This is an excellent property but it's a little quirky, not a traditional hotel. The front office is on the fourth floor and the elevator is tiny. The room itself is very nice, super clean, the wifi is excellent. The location is walkable to lots of attractions and dining. I would highly recommend this property.
Our stay at Minerva Realis was wonderful. Valentina was very communicative to our needs, including airport transportation and again to our cruise ship. The room was clean, well appointed, and the AC worked great. The hotel is very close to the Trevi Fountain and the Parthenon. Lots of restaurants and shopping are available in this area. Although the description says there is not one, there is a safe in the room. The whole building felt very secure with exterior and interior locking doors. Every morning there was amazing croissants delivered to our room! Highly recommend. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Staff are extremely friendly and responsive.
Great find!
Fantastic location & very quiet for center of Rome. Large comfortable room & very friendly, welcoming service (but only till 1 pm). Fresh croissants left outside the door each morning another nice touch.
Very nice and confortable room, Valentina helped us a lot. It is close to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum.
Noisy. You can hear the conversations in the next rooms and lobby. Elevator doesn’t work. No one in the reception desk which is located outside the room
Rome 2.0
We started our month long stay in Italy at the Minerva Relais. Our luggage did not arrive for four days and the staff was AMAZING! Alessandro and Valentina were understanding and so helpful. The location was perfect. There was no outside street noise but we could hear between the rooms. That was our only concern. Thank you and we would consider staying there again.
The hotel staff was so kind and helpful! Great location, most of Rome’s “must sees” were in walking distance as were so many delicious restaurants.
Valentina was lovely, very helpful and went out of her way to help us with an unusual request. The staff was very responsive and was able to accommodate all of our requests. It's an interesting hybrid between and airbnb and hotel, but still a great option in Rome that's reasonably priced but very clean. The rooms are nice and large, linens and towels very clean.
Before we even arrived, our experience with Minerva Relais was above average, as they arranged our transportation from the airport directly to the hotel, so easy! Upon arrival, Valentina welcomed us and was an absolute treasure. Valentina supplied us with maps to all the pertinent must see attractions, was knowledgeable about everything we asked, and just gave a feeling of home, even when we were on the other side of the world. Cannot recommend this place enough, you won’t be disappointed.
Lovely cosy room, very quiet despite its central location, very friendly reception (Valentina).
Amazing stay at The Minerva Relais. Great location walking distance to all the tourist places. Gorgeous room huge comfy bed beautiful view over the roof tops of Rome. Staff so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great value near the Pantheon
Friendly and knowledgeable staff - Valentina was marvellous! Excellent location, literally one minute walk to the Pantheon. Would book it again in a heartbeat!
We loved our stay at Minerva Relais! The staff were very helpful with any and all our needs. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Rome!
Great location!
I had a wonderful stay here. Alessandro arranged transportation for me and when I got there I was welcomed to a beautiful clean room. It was very spacious and clean. The hotel is so close to all the main attractions. I walked to the pantheon dozens of times and felt safe at night because of the police station that is nearby. The doors are a little tricky to figure out, but Alessandro is so helpful with everything that you need. Breakfast was delicious and they made fresh coffee for you. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a memorable stay!
This was not a hotel, it is a cross between a B&B and a hotel. The rooms were terribly small. Reception is open from 7AM to -1PM; otherwise you are practically on your own. The rooms need maintenance too; light bulbs burned out, sink not draining, etc. You will need to schlep your luggage to your room on the 4th floor. The is an extremely small elevator that works if all the doors associated with it I all the floors are closed. The service is fine, though not stellar. I would NOT stay there again.
The hotel was very walkable to all the things you want to see without being in the center of it. The staff was extremely helpful and also organized a taxi for us to the airport. This is my second stay with them!
The rooms are lovely, the location perfect, the staff wonderful. The problem ia complicated access to hotel rooms, which are in a residential building. Not suitable for elderly or disabled people.
Room in Roma
Rome is amazing and always love being near the Pantheon. Our room was typical for the area. Staff was great.
Fabulous location! Great service and wonderful room…everything we needed!
Location wise this place this great. We got the superior room but it was way tinier than the pictures. We could barely walk inside without feeling cramped. Check in was also very misleading. It states 8am, but we weren’t able to check in until 12pm. We only booked this place because of the early check in. Very misleading and disappointing as we got into Rome at 7AM with 0 hours of sleep. The service is outstanding though. Very helpful staff and informative. Only reason I’d come back is because of location.
Great service to compensate issues w/ room
We had booked a Superior Double Room, but there was nothing “superior” about the room that we were assigned. It was absolutely tiny and nothing like any of the pictures online. There was just one very small window which looked out into the staircase (not even to the outside). It was a very disappointing room. Thankfully(?) there was also a horrible sewage smell in the room. To the hotel’s credit, there was a note saying they had a plumbing issue they could not fix and would move us to their other property, pay for the taxi to get there, and offered free breakfast. It was far from ideal since the other property was much further from the Pantheon (our entire reason for booking the Minerva) and it was already very late and we were exhausted, but at least we didn’t have to sleep in an awful smelling room. The room at the other property was large, comfortable, and very nice. I would never book the Superior Double Room at the Minerva again, but I may book at their other Relais property.
The staff were amazing, so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We arrived after the reception was closed for the day but the email instructions we got were super easy to follow and we had no issues. The breakfast was delicious and they made us cappuccinos each morning. I would highly recommend a stay here
Great location
Cute Little Gem
Great customer service, everything was clean and it looks just like the pictures. It's a boutique hotel and I definitely passed by it because its hidden. Appreciated the early check in.
Great staff very accommodating Camilla is a very pleasant girl
Motel standard not a hotel.
The hotel receptionist were great. But man the hotel should have called as motel not hotel. This place was very dirty. There was thick dust everywhere, the carpet looked like it has never been shampooed for years. It was nasty. Oh! Those stairs, do not stay at this hotel if you can bad back cause you need to climb those stairs with your luggage to get to your room. The sewage system was horrible. Only good thing I can think of was the location was convenient and shuttle was reasonably priced.
The room was really nice and comfortable, the people very accommodating and friendly. There is nothing I dislike.
Great experience! Loved it!
A wonderful boutique hotel while visiting Rome. Great location walkable to Pantheon. Trevi and more! Plenty of great restaurants close by, too. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered was fantastic. The staff is both helpful and extremely knowledgeable about Rome. The Minerva Relais hotel is a real gem!
Tiniest room! Not a hotel ! No lobby .. A/C not working Camilla was very helpful
Very dated. It reminded me of a youth hostel.
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Hotel is a boutique concept, in an excellent location. The decor was very beautiful and it was such a comfortable room.
Minerva Relais is a lovely small hotel just 2 minutes (walking) from the Pantheon—a perfect location. They offer a delicious breakfast each morning for a very reasonable additional fee. The service was outstanding and Valentina is a most attentive manager. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Rome!
Breakfast was very good, location near Pantheon was convenient to many sights, comfortable fourth floor room. Elevator not always reliable.

Loved this location. Perfect locale between the Colosseum and the Vatican. Great condition and care by staff.
