The team at Midtown is excellent and always willing to assist you with anything. The property's condition is average. The only issue was the slow or unreliable internet; you had to call the front desk to reset the modem. Power cuts occurred three times a day, but they quickly started the generators. Overall, it's a good place to stay for a couple of days!
Quick response from the manager, for any complain, really appreciate that, very quiet place .
the hotel is clean, but quiet old. staff are really friendly and helpful. location is very convenient
Good location, close to Hamra Street and bars. Nice outdoor area to relax. Good, comfortable rooms.
Good
It was a good experience
Comfortable and clean
The hotel is very quiet and comfortable The service is fast and excellent Breakfast is traditional and repeats itself every day (labneh, cheese, salami, boiled eggs, olives, a piece of thyme pastries, tomatoes, cucumbers, a piece of cupcake)
Dejligt hotel i Hamra, Beirut
Vi boede 5 nætter i 3 dob værelser på dette dejlige hotel. Rolig og tryg beliggenhed og perfekt som udgangspunkt for oplevelser i Beirut. Hotel personalet var alle meget søde og hjælpsomme.
Great service
Staff was very friendly, clean property but elevators carpet need improving and room service for example Toothpaste needs to be inside and also have conditioner and extra towels for body and In one of the rooms. There was only 1 big towel for two people and 1 glass of water. Overall hotel service is very pleasant and welcoming.
Great and very friendly staff!
Friendly staff, Mediocre room
The place is ok, not similar to the pictures on site. However, the staff are friendly.
Nice stay in golden tulip.. nice staff ..
Excellent
O nous avons passé de très bon séjour le personnel est excellent très serviable Seulement le confort de canapé lit n’était pas très bien et le l’ascenseur pas trop propre
The hotel agents were very helpful with good customer service. I would defiantly stay at this hotel again
I really enjoyed my stay. The room is well equipped. The staff is professional. The location of the hotel is perfect! The administration was very helpful and flexible and they were kind enough to help me out with a problem that I had regarding the duration of my reservation. I would like to thank them very much!
Location was great. Construction outside on street.
The hotel is very nice and rooms are clean and good, I would have given 5 stars if only the water was hot , I had to take my shower with a slight warm water. The staff were very kind, helpful and welcoming.
Nice location and nice room. Staff are very friendly. My only complaint is the breakfast can be abit better.
Good location, value and rooms. Poor breakfast cold pool and average public areas
The reception is good and I was upgraded to an Executive Room which was nice. However the shower leaked and the roof top pool was small a bit unloved.
My choice was perfect for this hotel Thanks a lot for the stuff
It was good
The front staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the location is also very good, I checked in at 4.00 am and everything was great, good size room with good wardrobe with free safe. Bathroom offs good size with a nice shower. However the hotel is “dated” it badly needs to be refurbished, the carpet, cushions and curtains were not clean. The most disappointing part is the breakfast. There is a very limited choice of food, the room is depressing, no window, sad atmosphere and most disappointing is the service, I was there for 5 nights and every day there were no cups or cutlery, the crockery was chipped too. Please update the hotel
Staff was very helpful and courteous. Accomodated all our requests with no exceptions. Very nice people
Lovely Lebanon
We enjoyed our trip to Lebanon and the hotel is well located and was comfort, valet parking service is excellent with very reasonable price. The only thing with reasonable price in Lebanon. Hotel is well equipped and comfort.
Recommendable
I can recomend this hotel. Everything was as expected.
Liked the Good location. What was bad are: - Slow Internet - The bathroom needs maintenance. Shower fawcet leeaking and shower door broken.
extremely friendly and helpful staff. convenient shuttle to and from airport at reasonable price. dining options nearby. rooms basic and clean, but bathrooms could be updated perhaps. my room was very pleasant, but another traveller's non-smoking room smelled of smoke from a problem with ventilation system, but the hotel moved her to another room. breakfast is nice. located in hamra district with various restaurants, shops nearby. can walk to corniche in about 15 minutes or so (?) I jogged to corniche, so I am only estimating how long it takes to walk there. enjoyed my stay here very much. amazing reception staff!
The front desk staff were excellent in every way. They were friendly and quick to assist with arranging tours and answering questions. The shower stalls could use refurbishing. The breakfast items could be more varied and kept hotter.
The fridge and microwave were appreciated, also liked the balcony
Very good, good value for money hotel in Hamra
Staff was very helpful and knowledgable. Included a substantial breakfast that was very good (coffee was ok). Room was clean, if a little dated. Complimentary tea and coffee was nice to have.
The room was very well designed and equipped, very comfortable bed, very clean overall, and nice bathroom shower (switch among rain shower, back shower and flexible handle) One thing I didn't like is I had to wait for 5+ minute to get the elevator when going back from breakfast (-4 floor) to my room (9th floor)! there are only two elevators and apparently also used by service people ....!! Another thing I was surprised is that there are only 4 TV channels! This didn't bother me though ...
it was a great experience, location was good, staff was friendly, and room was clean
Not a good choice..
Check in was a mess and took about 15 minutes. Room is ok, bed not very confortable. Old dirty towel was still left in the bathroom. Wifi is a desaster... The breakfast is very limited and not worth the price.
Good value for the money. Central location and close to everything in Hamra district
Old place , but a good one , very close to the AUBMC and Hamra Breakfast was not really good but otherwise it’s a decent place with good price
The bathroom, especially the shower, needs renovation. The bathroom is old.
perfect
good one
Nice hotel, friendly staff, good value, the area is nice, we will come again
The room was filthy dirty Shower head and handle rusty there mold on the walls
I really enjoyed the hotel the staff were excellent and very helpful the only problem that there wasn't any public transport to or from Hamra except taxis after 8:00pm , but other than that it was really nice
Comfortable and clean rooms in a good location
Friendly staff in a great location - only a few minutes walk from Hamra shopping and bar area. Room was lovely and clean. The lobby area was also very clean and pleasant, but some of the other areas, including the lifts and the dining area downstairs could do with some TLC. Was warned that wifi would be sporadic but it worked well at all times.
Value for money
A little dated but overall great value for money
Exelent
I stay the service is very good and the hotel close to everything and the resepation help us for everything.
that is my fourth time in this hotel, but unfortunately this time I had a very bad experience with the room, shower falling apart , ac not working , water falling from the cealing , ,
Great place. central location, highly recommended
I re booked for a few days more as I enjoyed very much the location and the attention. Hotel is close to Hamra, walking distance to the Corniche, the souq and city center. Attention from staff is outstanding. Highly recommended
Great place with perfect location in Beirut
Great location with outstanding service, staff at reception are very kind and ready to help at any moment. I enjoyed very much these days, definitely will come back soon.
Good location, good value, nice people but it all looks a bit tired and the lifts are hopeless.
Nice room friendly staff and good location .......
Average Lebanese 4 star hotel
Relatively is worth the price I spent in this hotel.
Excellent location, friendly staff, they make you feel like home.
Very nice hotel in the middle of everything
Very nice hotel the price is just perfect , the staff are really nice , rooms conditions are perfect you can spend your time in the hotel or your room if you don't feel like going out , I really enjoyed it
great breakfast. Weak internet. Great location. friendly staff. Felt secure.
central location accessible to All destinations.
It’s a 3.5 starhotel providing 5 star services ✅✅✅✅👍
Good Friday and Easter Saturday 2018 they renovated room next door and upstairs. Constant drilling. Said they would stop but never did. Had to move hotels
Close to Hamra Street
Very helpful staff. Nothing was a problem. Western breakfast was a little wanting, however, Middle Eastern breakfast was fine. Room was clean.Good experience with hotel shuttle.
Very good and enjoyable stay
I was very pleased with the reception on arrival and until our departure after 5 nights. Most cooperative people and only too willing to help. The only issue I had was that the wi-fi was very slow. I was able to overcome the problem via my iPhone.
November 2017
Good hotel overall. Comfortable and clean room. Great location near shops, restaurants, cafes, banks. Super service. Staff ready to help with everything. The internet WiFi was very slow.
Best staff ever!!
I have been a frequent guest of this Hotel! Staff are so nice and helpful. Considerate and caring Best cappuccino cup ever in the small front yard .. Close to everything and just in city center. Bars and shopping centers around . I simply RECOMMEND!!! 😘😀
November 2017.
Great hotel overall. Good design and construction. Comfortable and clean room. Great location in Hamra. Safe area. Near shops, restaurants, cafes, banks. Super service. Staff ready to help with anything. Large, Flat Screen TV. The free WiFi is slow. Faster paid WiFi is available for a minimum of 30 days.
Great location
Check in was a bit messy - had to wait zoned an hour passed room availability time promised. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Easy walk to restaurants and shops
Midtown
Overall it was Ok, but the hotel is old, rooms need renovation. Room cleaning is not good at all, Breakfast needs more variety food. For a 4 star hotel it was disappointing. Hotel is not easy to find as there are two hotels with the same name in the area.
It smells
It smelled bad the a.c. doesn't work. It was a haste for my wife to come to the room they wanted to charge me extra
convenient in the middle of busy Hamra
right where I wanted to be for access to what I was there for
Not up to other Golden Tulips
The staff was very friendly, but on two different nights I tried to order room service and was told the chef was unavailable. Both nights were apparently known to the staff in advance and should have been communicated to the guests. The wifi was downright awful. It was slow slow that I couldn't even ping google.com to see how slow it was. The printed sheet with the instructions does warn you that it might be slow and I took their advice to upgrade to "premium" but that was still unable to stream content 70% of the time. Power to the building would turn off/crash multiple times per day, usually only for a minute but long enough to reset the air conditioning (which wasn't great anyway) and the wifi. One power crash I got trapped in the elevator. One day the power crashed at least once per hour. I heard from a colleague staying at the Crown Plaza the power crashes were common throughout the city. The rooftop pool is small but nice. I didn't discover the gym until the day before I left, there wasn't any information provided on it. The breakfast buffet was basic but ok.
Midtown Hotel & Suites is situated in Al Hamra area and is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops in the heart of Beirut. The hotel itself is a part of the Golden Tulip Hotels. My room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were helpful and the inclusive breakfast was pretty decent. I took a room on the 9th floor with a balcony facing the street. At the time of my visit the hotel was under renovation on some of the floors.
Excellent communication from the staff and very helpful in meeting my needs!
Excellent Friendly Service
Excellent friendly service. Staff spoke very good English and were helpful and attentive. The owner was onsite and was very welcoming and gracious. Shuttle from airport was flawless. The Midtown provided a safe, clean and comfortable stay conveniently located close to AUB and Hamra Street. While there is no restaurant in the hotel there are many within a 1 - 5 minute walk. The included breakfast had good selection. The only very minor issue we encountered - wifi access was problematic one evening. Other than that, everything about our three night stay was positive.
The hotel is placed so close to Hamra street, which is a main shopping street in the city, this is a great point, staff are great, hospitality is great in the hotel. The breakfast is nice also, I enjoyed it.
Nice and close to the market
This is not my first time, it is good overall, breakfast and internet are good. I enjoyed it.
Very nice staf... they upgrade the reservation to a suite.... we enjoyed our stay
3star
location is amazing. very very cold pool on rooftop terrace. only used once. shower tray leaks and floods the bathroom. aircon makes an incredible horid noise after an hour of it being on. had to turn off at night and its baking hot. told the staff they did not even come to check or change rooms. room is nice balcony light dont work. kind of upset about booking this hotel. only good thing was the bed. king size and comfy.
10/10
Absolutely wonderful hotel
Central Hamra location, short walk to sea front
Great hotel and location and staff were really helpful. Fitness room being refurbished but can arrange for use of external gym or fitness room in a nearby hotel (2 min walk).
Good clean hotel for the money!
A good value and clean hotel in the heart of Beirut near American University of Beirut. I had low expectations and therefore I was pleasantly surprised.
Nice stay
Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, breakfast area could be better, big round tables, not very cosy... Convenient location not far from clubing area alhough calm neighborhood
Great stay
Personal touch by owner, very helpful front desk
friendly staff that would make your stay a breeze!
The hotel is almost two steps away from everything you wish to have! Food, Drinks, shopping and even some clubbing! Very nice staff that would make you feel important and at home ;) my experience is very positive overall, the only thing that I had a bit of a hassle with is the Internet connection! I think the hotel needs to bring in a better and more reliable connection! Although the staff and even the chairman (yes! The chairman is on top of things there, believe it or not!) tried their best to solve it in every way possible but I guess that's just a general problem with the Internet in Lebanon!
I stayed for one night in this beautiful hotel, and everything has met our requirement starting from its location to its delicious food and breakfast
Amaizing Hotel
Me and My love stayed there for two nights, and it was a great room with a great service... The parking is too expensive and not included in the booking charges, that the only annoying thing.. Every thing else was just amazing.
Warm Welcome
Great deal in a perfect location near the waterfront and American Univ. But mostly the excellent staff and gracious owner made me feel right at home. I would definitely stay there again.
I enjoyed it overall, the staff was friendly the furniture and facilities were good and new and the place of the hotel is excellent and quiet. Strongly recommended!! I absolutely liked the friendly and homey environment of the hotel.
Nice hotel in Hamra
I was here for 6 days. The best thing about the hotel is its personnel. They are friendly and kind. Also, cleanliness was perfect.
Average
Nice hotel . A/C not working properly Late cleaning of the room til mid day small room
Stayed for 1 night.
Clean and cheap place to stay for 1 night. Nice hotel next to Hamra area. Great staff.
Friendly Staff, Terrible Bathroom
The front desk staff is friendly. The hotel is clean. The neighborhood isn't the best along Hamra Street. My only complaint, and it is serious if I were to spend more than one night, is the bathroom. The vanity was cracked, the finishing touches extremely rough and of low quality and the shower incredibly small. I'm an average sized man (5'11" x 180 lbs) but I kept bumping against the shower door and glass. It's barely 26"x26" on the inside although a much larger shower could easily fit in the bathroom. I stayed on the 8th floor and they probably have better single rooms available for their special customers but the front desk didn't offer and I didn't ask. And I shouldn't have to! The bathroom made the whole experience somehow unpleasant. I give the Midtown 4 stars because the staff is friendly and the rate is decent enough for Beirut. But for more than an overnight stay, the bathroom takes all the fun out of it.
Good
only 4 days, very reasonable price, and close to Hamra and Beirut centre.
It was amazing, room was clean, cozy, the breakfast was good and the staff was more than freindly and helpful, def. going back next year
Nice
Nothing wrong with this hotel at all, everything met my expectations
nice hotel
nice hotel
A Pleasant Stay in the Heart of Beirut
Mid Town Hotel and Suites is one of the most comfortable four-star hotels I have visited. The building is a modern one and the rooms have been refurbished and decorated with an excellent taste. Window curtains and the paint match creating a cozy environment. I was even upgraded and given an executive suites which was impressive and highly luxurious. The staff is very friendly and courteous especially Abed and Fahed. Breakfast was typically oriental and very tasty. Room is very clean and there was enough towels and toiletries.
Above average amenities -- EXCEPTIONAL staff.
The amenities offered by this hotel is roughly comparable to a DoubleTree or a Kimpton in the United States. The rooftop pool, although small, is greatly appreciated given the Beirut climate. No on-site restaurant (aside from a really nice breakfast buffet in the morning), but the hotel is located in a part of town where there are many options within walking distance for meals. The best feature, however, is the friendly and attentive staff, who provide a level of service right up there with the best of the five star hotels. Note to any Americans who might be visiting: American credit cards often do not work in Lebanon. Bring cash.
Pretty good hotel, clean and moderately well appointed. Good location for everything in the Hamra neighborhood. Staff was polite and helpful. Not a top-tier hotel but a good choice on a moderate budget.
Satisfactory
Air conditioning was very weak, Lifts are small and for 12 floors 2 lifts only and we had to wait for a long time to get one, Breakfast hall is very small and we had to wait sometimes more than 10 minutes to find a table.
Comfortable stay
A clean comfortable hotel with very good staff.
it is a good hotel located in El Hamra near to market, exam testing centers, resturants.
Hidden gem of a hotel: exceptional staff, service
I stayed two days, with constant business meetings in my suite in the hotel. The greatest asset to the hotel are the staff. There was not a problem that they couldn't solve, efficiently and smilingly. Just for the staff, I would go back again! Can't praise them enough. The breakfast buffet would benefit from providing more choices, e.g., omelets "on order," and better coffee. The internet system is archaic, with passcodes that work in your room, but in my case, I upgraded my room and putting in a new code was impossible. I solved it by using my computer in the lobby, which worked fine and was only slightly inconvenient. Still, I give the hotel five out of five. And I will definitely go back.
IT was a nice experience the hotel is clean and modern and the staff were very friendly

Breakfast and gym should be included, but they asked me to go to another hotel to have my breakfast and using the gym!
