I loved how clean the beds were. Also very comfortable but not the queens that were advertised. They are double beds. The room was pretty clean but the carpet and cloth bench had stains. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was very basic.

Clean and friendly staff

This property was great.. I just needed a place to stop in our traveling, but it felt like more; personable staff; easy check-in; great and comfortable room; and a nice breakfast to start the day. Thanks so much for how you all added to our stay in our traveling.

It was amazing and the staff were extraordinary. My elderly disabled mother decided to stay at the hotel one day of our trip and she could not get her dog out. She asked the front desk and they took him out and checked on her. Will stay here every time i find myself in Columbus.

The reviews on this properly was excellent I would not go as far as to say that; but it is very well kept up and clean. It is all the building.

The staff were very rude. Carpet smelled mildewed.

Great Room & Price for Overnight Stay

We stayed in a room with accommodations for disabled/wheel chair guests, we did not request this type room. While the room was clean, it was slightly uncomfortable for us because there was no sink vanity in the bathroom (no where to place our toiletries) and the shower head was low. Aside from this, the room was clean, the hotel in general was clean and welcoming, and for an overnight stay, the price was perfect.

The previous reviews on line for this hotel were right on. Room very clean; great service; great buffet breakfast available every morning. All staff very personable and helpful especially Crystal. It’s about 15-20 minutes to Fort Moore. Price also very reasonable. I would definitely stay here if ever in Columbus Georgia again.

Just a one-night stay, but it was a good one. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I would stay again if in the area.

The staff was EXCELLENT! Recommended places to eat and see in the area. Had an issue with my room and they quickly switched me to another. Very supportive of my family and the Military. Will definitely stay at this location again.

I requested Hypoallergenic bedding and still received non hypoallergenic pillows. Bathroom floor needs replacement due to appearance of water damage. The room has an odor. Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well and ended my trip with a headache.

We went for our youngest son’s 5th birthday. We had originally planned to go to Savannah but had to pivot our plans due to a hurricane hitting the coast and I let the staff know that he was a bit upset about having to cancel his beach trip so suddenly. The staff went above and beyond to make his birthday trip absolutely amazing! Not only did EVERY SINGLE staff member we saw wish him a happy birthday multiple times, they also decorated our room before check in, got him a cake and a gift, and (to make it even more special) they showed up at our door and sang him happy birthday! It is truly a trip we will never forget. Thank you all so much for taking this trip above and beyond for him. Y’all are awesome!

The area of the hotel is safe. The property could be better. The hotel has been refurbished but kept up well. I wouldn't say it's a 4 star more like a 3 -1/2

I loved the way they had the public areas decorated for the fall season. The breakfast had a variety of choices which you could eat onsite or take if you were on the go.

Everything was good like always. Clean, nice staff and comfortable.

Visiting Family

We used to Live in Columbus we stayed there once before when visiting family. It was a good experience then and even better this time. The staff is so friendly the rooms spotless. Breakfast was good. Loved the pancakes and bagels. It was an overall great experience

My stay was very nice. The front desk representatives were professional and oh so helpful. The room was clean and I never had to ask for towels or anything else. I felt safe and very comfortable

Toilet ran all night but other than that it was a quiet stay. Also very clean. Carpets were shampooed that day so carpet was wet which made it humid in the room.

I resent the fact I need to be charged $100 above the room charge, even though I know I'm getting a credit back. I can't believe in the bathroom, there was zero space to place my incidentals. These two items will not let me book another stay at Microtel.

The rooms were nice and clean. The check-in staff was awesome. The guy working nights was also accommodating. The lady working Saturday for check out was rude, bossy, and disrespectful to the cleaning staff in front of me. As a customer, I felt uncomfortable for both the cleaning lady and me. Uncalled for.

Other than it not being cool enough, it was a good stay.

My recent stay at Microtel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the front desk staff, who were not only professional but also incredibly accommodating throughout my visit. The General Manager, Herman went above and beyond with his duties as a Manager during our stay and I would stay again, just because of his level of professionalism and how he made us feel special and welcomed as guests. The cleanliness of the hotel exceeded our expectations; the rooms are cute, modern and clean. The amenities provided were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast was perfect for what we needed and offered a variety of options, more than most complimentary breakfasts. My daughter loved making her pancakes and eating their breakfast sandwiches. The location of the hotel is convenient, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. Despite its central location, the rooms were quiet and provided a peaceful environment for relaxation. And, they are pet friendly!! They have a cute little board with photos of fur-babies that have stayed here in the lobby. So cute! Overall, I would highly recommend Microtel to anyone looking for a fantastic hotel experience. Whether for business or leisure, you can expect excellent service, cleanliness, and amenities that make for a truly memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to the area!

Breakfast was good

There was no real closet space,but despite that I still enjoyed my stay.

Walls are paper thin and people next door kept slamming their door at 1 am. Then I heard them peeing, then showering, then talking. Had to shove towels under both hall door and connecting room door to muffle the noise. Toilet in my room kept running which added to the xtra noise. Staff was very friendly and room was cheap. But if a good nights sleep is important to you, maybe spend the extra money

Check out was not til 1130 as I asked for a late check out n they cleaned our room n we were not allowed to come back before 10 am unacceptable.. we needed to change for our flight home.

My Recent Stay

Everything was great! Couldn’t have asked for anything else. The whole place was immaculate and housekeeping and staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Very comfortable and couldn’t have asked for anything else except for maybe a coffeemaker with a caraffe, but that’s not a big deal. I really enjoyed my stay and will return in the future.

The guest over our room was jumping, stomping, making noise all night. Called front desk they called their room and it didn’t help nor stop..

Basic

The hotel was basic. It was clean, renovated with bright welcoming colors. The area has high humidity so the rooms were musty. The breakfast could use a step up sugary cereals, oatmeal, prepackaged danish and muffins and a pancake machine. Overall it was a fine stay for price when your on business. I just needed a place to sleep and shower.

Not very many options for breakfast so we had to buy breakfast outside of the hotel, but, everything was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was very clean.

Everything was great, with the exception of the breakfast. Not much there. And there aren't any breakfast restaurants near the hotel. If you want to eat, you'll have to drive. It would be great if they had a real hot breakfast in this hotel.

I stayed in numerous motels in the past 5 days. This is definitely the best one I stayed in.

The hallway of the hotel, and our room had a very bad smell. The room we were placed in had an ac unit on which all the buttons except for the on/off switch were broken off so we had to guess which ones turned the ac up and down. We never could figure out how to turn off the fan. I asked the desk clerk if we could switch rooms but he said we could not because we had booked with a third-party (Expedia). Overall the room felt not clean. (There was a stan on the seat of the window bench which made us not want to sit there.) I was pretty disappointed.

Second stay in 5 years, still great!
