Family of 4, two adults and two teens. Liked the indoor pool. Comfortable room, comfortable beds. Our room rate included in-garage parking at the hotel, which was great. We didn't touch the car during our stay, walked everywhere b/c hotel is in a good walkable location. Bathroom was spacious and super clean, housekeeping and front desk staff friendly and helpful.

We will be back! 10/10!

Metropolitan staff are amazing. Our check-in hostess and bellhop on Wednesday afternoon was extremely welcoming and helpful. The dining service staff from brunch to dinner were attentive and kind to our family. We would definitely stay here again.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel! Although it was only for one night, I enjoyed every moment and would love to return for a longer visit in the future.

Looks old

Our tv didn’t work the first night and I was suggested to move to another room. However, I am disabled and had unpacked my things; making it difficult to pack and unpack again. I was told I couldn’t get a new TV until the next day when my room was empty. We did get a new tv and it worked. I come to the hotel to swim and rest my back watching tv.

Great hotel friendly staff

This is a nice hotel in a great area. Hotel allowed us to leave our car in their parking after checkout while we went fir breakfast. I would definitely book this hotel again.

The customer service was able to accommodate a specific request which improved our stay tremendously!

Great experience. Staff was nice. Rooms were comfortable and nice. Good use of space. Walls were a little thin. You could hear housekeeping in other rooms and voices outside your room but all and all a good time.

I had a great stay at this hotel.The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was great with a separate tub and shower. The best part is that this hotel is within walking distance to the waterfront, many stores as well as Vancouver City Centre station. I was able to take a walk around downtown whenever I wanted, which was a great bonus. The staff were very friendly and housekeeping was amazing. I've never had doors opened for me at hotels so that was really unexpected and kind. Moreover, the staff offered water bottles, which was awesome. I will definitely consider staying here again.

We loved the Metropolitan! The location is super central, the hotel was very clean and the beds were so comfy!!! We ordered room service. It was delivered on time and the food was excellent! We were very happy with our stay!

The hotel room was wonderful but the staff went above and beyond for us they were absolutely wonderful. The hotel is in a prime spot to walk to Gastown and other great areas.

This is a great place due to its location, proximity to many public transit options and great dining. Restaurant staff were very kind and helpful. Swimming pool is small - great for a workout but I was traveling with a rambunctious kid. The hotel sent me an email asking if I had any special requests. I asked for a kettle in the room but none was provided. They also only have paper cups, no mugs.

I have stayed at this location several times over the years an never been disappointed.

The staff are extraordinary: friendly, courteous, helpful. The gym and pool facilities are excellent. The restaurant is very good. The location is awesome. The rooms are clean, spacious but a little dated. In particular the showers could be upgraded in terms of fixtures.

Stay in general had been pretty good. Excellent location, close to skytrain station, bus stop and pacific center, very convenient for shopping, food, walk around. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, washroom is also big with bathtub. Room service and reception had been great too. The only shortcoming is in the room, there was no table for eating or studying, there was only a TV bench which was not that convenient for above mentioned. Hope it can be improved in the future. I certainly will recommend this hotel to other people and I will certainly book this hotel when I come to Vancouver next time.

Accessibility

We love the convenience of the hotel as we like to take the Hullo ferry from Nanaimo. It’s only a few minutes walk up the hill from the harbor.. if we’re going to see a hockey game it’s also walking distance to Rogers Arena. I love having a swim in the lap pool in the morning and then having breakfast with their awesome smashed potatoes. Pacific Centre is right across the street so if you need to do some shopping, it’s super convenient. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful hotel with an amazing restaurant! Situated right across from CF Pacific Centre. I will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

Although I was there for only one night, flew in one day and out the next, the service was absolutely impeccable at the front desk, the room was more than I expected it was very nice and comfortable. I had dinner at the diva, the restaurant in the hotel and the food was very very good, and the service impeccable there as well. The front desk called a taxi for me when I needed it and the taxi arrived within one to two minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel. Plus for shoppers, it is across the street from a great shopping mall.

Great place, great stay, great town.

About as perfect a stay as I've ever had. The building was in a prime location downtown with easy access to mass transit; the staff friendly, and engaging; the room was spacious and I liked the windows; the pool was warm and fun; and Diva produced tasty food (and drinks). Couldn't recommend to others more.

Excellent little hotel, great size bathrooms comfy beds, noce food in the restaurant. Carpark is not intended for trucks. Staff and service unbeatable.

Great location

Wonderful stay

We loved our two days at the hotel. The pool was nice and clean, not too warm but that could have been due to them recently cleaning it. The entire staff was warm and inviting and we loved our server in the restaurant.

Outstanding 4 star hotel. Can’t do better in Vancouver. I used to stay at the rosewood yet in winter they heat it like a sauna and you can’t cool your room (fail for a 5 star hotel) Rooms are very nice, great bed, bathrooms a tad old but nicely kept. Luxury amenities show they are making an effort. Each room has a small balcony so you can open the door if you don’t want to sleep in 85 degrees .. can’t go wrong !!

Great stay. Only complaints was the pool was too cold to thoroughly enjoy and the queen beds more like doubles. But we enjoyed it, super convenient location and friendly and accommodating staff.

Nice property, crazy prices due to Taylor Swift.

It was old but not in a charming way. Tiny shower, TV would only work for a few minutes at a time, tiny gym area. Staff was great tho and the restaurant in the lobby was good

The beds were so comfy and the staff was so nice

Nice bright lobby and clean hotel room. Shower was very tiny but the bath tub was lovely. Coffee mugs were missing from our rooms which made morning coffee interesting but certainly not a dealbreaker.

1 night get away

Had a great stay! Beds / bedding super comfy. Spacious bathroom -separate bath tub and shower -clean.

Dom at check in at the Met set the tone for an incredible stay. He was warm, engaging and explained everything we needed to know for our stay. We also loved our experience at Diva. The food was amazing and the service seamless. One of the best lattes we had in the city. Not to be missed.

Hotel was amazing. Clean. Great views. Quiet even though its in the middle of the city. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again.

I received a letter welcoming me several days before my arrival. They provided general information about the hotel and surrounding area and asked my arrival time. The hotel was able to provide a room upon my arrival before usual check in time. We appreciated that very much. The water and coffee provided in the lobby was very good

Mavan and the desk staff are top notch! I was traveling by myself in another country and I called the hotel from the airport to see if it was safe for me to ride the train downtown. They gave me the instructions on how to do so and I rode the train by myself, at night. The walk from the train station to the hotel is about 1 to 2 minutes and it was very safe. My check-in was wonderful and Mavan was really attentive to my needs. I also appreciated the doorman as I came in and out over the next few days, and he made me feel so special because he always rushed to make sure I was taken care of. It was a fantastic day, and a great location, right across the street from the underground mall, five minute walk from the waterfront, five minute walk to other parts of downtown and I will definitely stay here again!

Lovely staff friendly service

Love the location, walk to arenas and waterfront, 2 blocks to Robson street. The room is roomy and neat, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff are kind and courteous.

I liked someone met us outside right away to help with parking. Staff were friendly, and helpful with whatever we needed. Really enjoyed our stay!

Crispy bedding

Our room was clean and the bed sheets were nice and crispy. The staff are very kind and nice. I thought the price to park in their underground garage was a little steep in price. All in all place looked like it had been remodeled over the last few years which was a big plus.

This hotel is fine but dated so if you enjoyed the 80's then this is the place for you.

The staff there was super helpful and friendly. The train station is a couple blocks away. It made it easy to walk to the hotel. The cruise ship terminal is about a half mile away so we just walked down with our luggage. Would stay there again. They accommodated is with an early check in which was wonderful!

Hotel was in a great location, easy to get to by subway. Check in staff was very friendly and helpful, check in was quick and easy. Room was good size and comfortable.

This is a really great hotel but it is not easy to get to some of the restaurants and places to see without getting a cab.

This was a very convenient location.

Excellent hotel - perfect end to a holiday spent mostly in BC/Alberta mountain areas. Lovely pool, sauna, steam facilities and very well connected for city metro straight to vancouver airport.

Walkable & attractions close via Uber. Summer season there’s free shuttle to/ from Capilano Suspension Bridge which is really nice.

A problem occurred as I was leaving the underground parking, and lost a light on my vehicle. They have hesitated in communicating with me and that right there is an issue.

Our home away from home! Whenever we visit family in Vancouver, we always can rely on the Metropolitan Hotel to give us a home base to meet. Eat, swim, shop across the street at the mall or on Robson St. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfy and the little conveniences like upscale hair products and lotion are so thoughtful!

Great slot to stay in the heart of downtown

Location is excellent

The hotel had limited facilities and was not value for money. Also, it was not environmentally sustainable, for example, the coffee making facilities used polythene wrapped paper cups, a coffee maker which used single use plastics, and plastic wrapped coffee sachets. It would be much better to supply a kettle, coffee bags and ceramic cups. Plus it would be nice if more than 1 teabag was supplied

Metropolitan Hotel Stay

Firstly, i appreciated the professionalism of the hotel staff. I had a minor hiccup that was addressed the next morning of my stay. Within several hours, my situation was resolved and exceeded my expectations! As my first trip to Canada, I didn't quite know what to expect traveling out of my comfort zone. The Metropolitan Hotel of Vancouver is a must!

What a great hotel! Staff was courteous and super nice. Lobby and restaurant was very classy. Rooms were upscale, clean and fresh. Views were fantastic.

We felt the room was very nice and comfortable. Loved the balcony.

The hotel was perfect for our quick trip to Vancouver.close to a number of restaurants and activities. Plus easy to walk to BC place for concert. Would stay there again.
