It's a veru good option if you're staying in Labuan Bajo. Clean. Food was ok, not the best but still can find something to eat. Spa is good and therapists are great.

Hotel is very good. Food was ok. Spa very good. The call for prayer was anoying and long but nothing the hotel can do about it. I don't see other religions imposing things like this to everyone in the city, should not be permitted in places where multiple religios are practiced. Smoke smell around the hotel, something was getting burned. Overall a good experience.

The rooms were nice and light, spacious, and airy. The hotel was nice and modern although there were a few areas where you could see already that there will be wear and tear. The infinity pool was very nice and great view of the harbour at sunset. There isn’t much to do in Labuan bajo itself but the hotel is well located for the airport / town / port / food night market. This was a good one night stop after arriving in Labuan Bajo and before departing on a Komodo cruise the next day.

Not a 5 star

Key didn’t work for first three hours. Was not moved to a new room despite requests. No offer to upgrade for stay for the inconvenience. Pool and gym hours are frustrating. The Hill View is TERRIBLE. The call to prayer at 4am will wake you up.

The hotel had an excellent view of the harbor and was well maintained. The location was convenient for shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and communicated well. The only complaint I have is the noise from the boats in the harbor and the staff cleaning carts can be heard early in the morning.

The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. If the bed is good, I'm usually good! The view is amazing!

Good hotel

Good hotel, clean and well located. Need to finish the set up for drinks at the bar and restaurant.

Overall I have had better services in 3 and 4 star hotels in Indonesia. Therefore the price you pay is much overrated comparing for what you get. Even for taking a towel to beach you must pay 50000 rupiah. I could understand if you pay a deposit and you lose the towel you must pay. No you must rent it. Also with check in something went wrong and I had to wait for 2 hours administration time. Without even offering a drink for waiting. I hope the new starting manager (who I personally spoke) can get it to 5 star. The view from the hotel is great, but for me it takes much more to get a 5 star treatment when you pay so much money, espescially in Indonesia. Next time we will take other hotel.

The nearby Mosque had an extremely loud and frequent prayer recording. We ate at the rooftop bar. Food was so-so and the wine was terribly expensive for not very good wines. The waiter spilled wine on our table and did not clean it up. Had to move to a different table.

Beautiful hotel, food and views where amazing, only thing i would recommend is to change the doors or something because is very easy to hear what is going on in the hallway so it can be a little bit noisy

Great but ...

I must say we were expecting our stay to be quieter than it was. Perhaps if we had a seaview instead of a hill view it may have been quieter. The door onto our small balcony didn't close properly so it let some noise in. The Mosque is almost opposite, it's very loud and distorted. The Navy offices are opposite where they they stop the traffic and whistle officers in and out. Flag raising at 8am and lowering at 6pm is accompanied by loud announcements and stopped traffic. Motor bikes whizz past all night. The hotel is very comfortable, clean, well appointed and a good design. The staff are excellent. It's a great sunset vantage point with stunning views over the bay and marina. The wifi seems quite reliable. Tea and coffee are provided free, but we had to pay Rp50 000 for milk! Convenient location to bars, restaurants, a pharmacy and convenience shop. Would we stay again? Probably not as we don't think it's value for money.

Very unimpressed. Not 5 star at all. Food was tasteless. Only one chair for my balcony. Pool was fine except only 6 loungers and no shaded area. Little English spoken. Nil in my mini bar fridge. Gym ok but only one bench! For coffee and tea, sanka and Lipton. Quite simply, no way is this worth the money spent. Don't waste your money. I found harbour hotel nearby for $45 instead of $200 much more satisfactory and better, friendlier customer service.

There was an odor in the bathroom on arrival. We called them and they promptly found the problem and repaired it

Not good

Excellent location, right at the heart of Labuan Bajo town, very convenient for shopping, foods, and all kind of activities. It was the hotel where Asean Summit 2023 took place Gorgeous, luxurious, nature friendly and classy. Highly recommended.

Has a lot of potential

Friendly staff, incredible breakfast, but baffling hotel design. This is obviously billed as a flagship property for the region (and I believe sponsored by the govt) but so many things don’t work - the pool that looks amazing in the pictures is placed in difficult to access place with only 4 loungers for the ENTIRE PROPERTY! There is a huge and stunning outdoor roof deck next to it but - NO SHADE! Restaurant on roof feels like more of a side of the road rest area when it has potential to be an awesome beach bar / restaurant. It could easily be transported into a really groovy outdoor lounge / pool space but falls short as it is now. Same with the vibe on the bar above the pool - no atmosphere and no air on even when sweltering out. Views are incredible, of course. Our room also periodically smelled strongly of sulphur, there was only one balcony chair, and the mini fridge was not operating correctly - I think there was no back vent in the cabinet so it was incredibly hot around the fridge - corner of door was hot to touch - and the inside never got that cold. Would be nice to see less single use items too.

nice but not 5 star

very nice luxury hotel in Labuan Bajo. much nicer than other local options on the main road. definitely get a sea view room it is worth the extra $10-20 USD per night. pros: very beautiful common areas for sunset, very grand lobby, rooms are clean and kind of modern. bath has rainfall shower. infinity pool has beautiful view of bay. location is great for easy and quick access to restaurants, coffee shops and convenient very nice luxury hotel in Labuan Bajo. much nicer than other local options on the main road. cons: 5 star label is not quite accurate. feels more like 4 star. service was so so. staff are not that quick to respond to requests. during our previous stay (we stayed there twice in 1 week before and after cruise), the elevator was not working for 3 days.

Eventhou there was a couple hiccups when we arrived, but the staff took care of the problem pretty fast. The room was decent, the only problem with the room was at the beginning when we went inside the room, there was unpleasant smell, I think because they didn't use this room for quiet sometimes, but they took care of it. And the 2nd hiccups was the blackout. The whole island was having problem with the electricity and the Hotel didn't prepare for that, so we had a blackout almost 2 hours. As a 5 stars hotel, they need to prepare for this kind of problem. But overall we had a pleasant time staying here. The view from the hotel was breathtaking. The staff was amazing, especially the front desk. Thanks to the Assistant Manager Mr. Ricky Reynaldi for his prompt action taking care our room if we have problem and maintaining our airport transport back and forth smoothly. Thank you for Mr. Eki, Mr. Nando and Mr. Anggit for patiently listening to my complaint and took care the stuff. Will definitely come back and recommend the hotel to family and friends. Thank you again.

Loud boats and lights that don’t turn off.

Nice room and new building but there are some things that made this location somewhere I would avoid in the future. One being the noise from the local boats. It would wake us up with them being so loud. The second would be the light that couldn’t turn off in the room near the closets. The hotel had to come in and physically remove the LED strip to then have a dark room. I did stay in much cheaper places that offer a better stay than this.

The cleanliness of the room and the deliciousness of the food were amazing. The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. Many of the staff had great hospitality, but FAISAI in particular had great hospitality.

Good to stay

Its really enjoyed staying here. The location is nearby the port of labuan bajo and central of the city. All staff are very friendly, and kind. Our room is faced city side and little bit tiny but inside the room is tidy always. I want to use Meruorah hotel near future.

Not a five star hotel

I chose this hotel because it’s so close to the harbor and my kid could get 10 more minutes sleep on the day for our speed boat trip. But the prayer at 4:00 am was rather loud, I respect the culture but … then actually my kid had a lot less sleep! And then 6:00am, crazy loud music was playing across the street (we were on the hill side). I left the fruit from breakfast box in the fridge and at night, papaya was molded! Breakfast on 6th floor was not organized. I ordered a latte and need to go get my coffee at the bar or it will never be my turn! Finally, I dialed to the front desk, and no one ever pick up!

We loved our stay at Meruorah. This is by far the best option if you want to stay near the harbour. Very convenient before or after your boattrip to Komodo etc. You could even start your trip next to the hotel! As easy as that! Try to book the seaview rooms, those are stunning.. i tried rooms on both sides… for sure the ones with seaview were the best. I slept with the doors open and closed. Even though I am a light sleeper… did not hear noices from outside, wich keep me awake… at all. The other day I slept with the terrace doors open… that day, I only hear noices around 6 AM, for me personally, no big deal! About the room with a hillview, which was quiet near to the mosque… with the terrace doors completely shut… I did not hear the early morning prayers at all!! Conclussion: rooms are soundproof! Everything on walkable distance… many restaurants/eateries/fish market… you name it… Staff very friendly and willing to make your stay as comfy as pissible… Breakfast was goid, enough choices, both for western as local food! Once again view stunning and could not better!! Will book this hotel again, when in LBJ and can highly recommend it!

Sea view, central location but far from being a 5 star hotel. Small room. Cheap furniture. Chairs but no table on the balcony.

Localización está bien para coger un barco, pero el servicio es servicial pero poco profesional. Pocas opciones para comer ya que solo hay un restaurante para desayuno y cena, muy básico para cenar.

Noisy

Nice, relatively new hotel, amazing view, and close to the harbour. They advertise that they can help with booking tours.. but they just gave numbers for tour operators, who never got back to me…. Biggest downside, is the promenade infront of the hotel, that seems to be the ‘hangout’ spot for the young locals, singing and partying most nights… even on the top floor, with the doors closed, it was difficult to fall asleep :/
