Lovely hotel in a nice area.
Friendly atmosphere and lovely surroundings
We loved our stay here. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and welcome. The staff speak many languages and are so friendly. It made checking in so easy. The breakfasts were perfect and the location is ideal. Walking distance to the Métro, Île de la Cité, and the Sorbonne area. And you can enjoy a drink in the lounge in the evening too. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Paris.
Great place, the rooms are small but cosy and clean and it is ideally situated. Very helpful staff.
This hotel is very quaint and perfectly located near great attractions and restaurants. 2 blocks away is a fantastic open air market with very fresh produce and gifts. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff very friendly!
Perfect location and staff was amazing.
Staff was very helpful. Clean, really appreciated the in-room refrigerator, coffee and tea service. Extremely convenient to major sites, the batobus, metro and train stations. We were able to take the train to and from airport directly without switching lines. Great restaurants and eats nearby.
Nice. Small rooms but liked property.
Nice area and friendly staff. Breakfast was great, walkable distance to subway station, a lot of restaurants around. For sure will be back.
All good, except that the rooms are very tiny
Unattended hotel. Nobody in the front desk in the evening and morning. Room so small that if you open the bathroom door you can’t exit the tiny room.
Wonderful place to stay and enjoy Paris… I will come back
Very convenient location. However, the double twin room itself was tiny, stuffy, very dated, and basic.
Overall a very nice hotel. Staff was wonderful. Room was small but but I knew that ahead of time. Good value.
The Perfect Spot
This is an amazing hotel: the bedrooms are great, the staff is super pro and super friendly, the location is probably one of the best in Paris. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Paris for tourism or business!
Perfecty charming hotel
This hotel is charming and is situated in a wonderful location! The staff was very friendly and helpful. While the rooms are quite tiny, they were clean, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious. It is close to many wonderful cafe's, the Metro and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. It was a perfect place for us!
Great location, tiny room
This is my second stay at the hotel and I love the location. Close to RER, Metro and short walk to Notre Dame. This was, however, one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever been in. There was just about room to get around the bed and little room for my suitcase. I can’t see two people staying in this room. WiFi was tricky for me to connect to but was free.
Small rooms but helpful staff, great location, and an even better price.
Unfortunately there was no coffee machine in the room and the rooms we had were tiny. The area is close to Notre Dame, the Seine and Fontaine St Michel, so good location but we were waken up at 6 in the morning by people arguing very loudly and for a long time in the street. I will not return to this hotel, despite the staff being very nice.
excellent choice in paris
the hotel is pretty, the staff is very nice, close to everything, and breakfast is delicious
Good location. Easy to go out to eat, shopping and to some interesting point. Bout the hotel room is small. The hall way is narrow. They don't have the currency exchange service. And at the day when we leaved, we ask them to call a taxies for us to the airport. They charged €7.
The is a boutique hotel. Pleasant and very very small rooms
Not great
Great location very central. Very small rooms, hardly any space to manoeuvre. Tight space so it was hard to even enter the room. Lack of facilities - and the hotel was under renovation so construction everywhere. Breakfast was terrible and definitely not worth it. Staff did not even both to replenish items that were finished.
The room was perfect. Great size and the space is well used. Very efficient. I do not need anything larger.
Excellent location...neat metro and rer. Friendly staff who could speak excellent English. Shampoo and soap etc replenished each day tea making facilities in room. Very good value breakfast.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Great location! Close to restaurants, Metro and Notre-Dame.
High quality of bathroom products. Body lotion however was missing
Everything was good until the last morning when we saw a mouse run through the breakfast room.
Lovely
Staff very helpful, lively but quiet area perfect location situated 50m from the metro. Perfect location for a trip to paris
Fantastic location, right next to Cluny museum. It was raining a lot while we were there and they loaned us an umbrella when we lost ours.
Merci Mercure!
The front desk staff are absolutely amazing! The moment you enter the hotel, they make your check-in easy and seamless! The location is perfect for getting around by metro.
Service was wonderful. The desk clerks and breakfast person went out of their way to assist. Hotel was attractive and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay
The property was good and the staff were friendly. Great location. What the hotel failed to advise was that there were roadworks being carried out, from 8am, that were outside my room window. If I was aware of this I would not have booked this hotel.
Location was great. The breakfasts were amazing! And the staff was incredibly helpful our entire stay!
Most Staff very helpful, in particular on reception. Hotel very clean and rooms attended to every day. Rooms very compact and there was a lack of shelves- kept a lot of our clothes in the suitcase. Breakfast room smelled damp. Hotel very central for sightseeing and lots of restaurants in the area.
Excellent location near Sorbonne. Front desk was amazing !! Very helpful and friendly Rooms are small as typical in Europe for lower price motels
Hotel is close to St. Michel train station and upon checkin we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel room had recently been upgraded. A fantastic large tv and comfortable room overall. Note - It appears that the hotel is upgrading floor by floor so try to make sure you end up in one of the renovated rooms. Overall the staff were fantastic and the hotel is perfectly located, with a short walk to the latin quarter and major attractions.
Excellent location. Staff consistently helpful....in multiple languages! Rooms are not large. The space is used well. Nespresso machine in the room is welcome. Decent breakfast. Only downside - street noise. A room at the rear of the hotel might be a good idea.
Great for a weekend
Good location with Cluny-Sorbonne metro within 100 metres. Short walk to Latin Quarter, Notre Dame and St Germain area. Rooms a little on the small side but well maintained and clean. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
The location cannot be beat and the staff is very helpful.
Have stayed here many times and we will continue to. At the front desk, Patrick came to our aid when we lost an iPhone at the Lido. He went over and above his desk duties helping us find it. Great place to stay, close to metro, safe area with plenty of restaurants/bistros.
Close to restaurants and centre of town. Room was on the small side.
Not worth the price
First off, staff was awesome. Very friendly and super helpful. Room is very very small. I travel a lot and this is like a small Japanese style room. Small enough that the two robes and slippers they provided took up valuable space. Check in/out was simple and quick. Room wasn’t ready when we tried to check in early and she made sure we had our bags in storage. It wasn’t a big deal because we were aight seeing anyways. Shower in the room is the type that all Americans complain about. Half glass wall so water gets everywhere easily. Still a nice usable bathroom. Windows open to the street we were on 5th floor and that was nice. Although they open inward and you can’t have them open far and the curtains drawn. Room has AC which was also a plus. Rental bikes literally right outside the hotel. A TON of restaurants about a half a block away. Very cool location to go out and eat and enjoy some mellow street buskers. Train station is about 2 blocks away and you can take a train directly to Versailles from there without transferring trains. Notre Dame is about 3 blocks from the hotel as well. All in all, the area is great but there are about 20 other hotels around that are probably better. This is very bare bones.
Great location, friendly reception staff. Bed was comfortable: two single beds pushed together, and housekeeping inconsistent in replenishing room supplies.
Excellent location, great value, be prepared for how small the rooms are!
Central location and great value. Stayed on the 1st floor and faced the street and it was quiet. We didn't have to use the elevator, but it seemed slow. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
This is a fantastic place to stay! Staff so helpful and the place was an amazing location!!
Great hotel, perfect location
Considering we picked the hotel with the "pin in a map" process, we could not have found a better hotel or location. Walking distance to Notre Dame, two minutes walk to a fantastic boho eating area. Top hotel for a top weekend. Staff also were extremely helpful.
Great location
Fantastic location. Very helpful staff. Room size is typical small European size but nice with French balcony. Breakfast was also typical European assortmenr of cheeses, meats, and eggs. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Very Helpful Staff
Rooms and facilities straightforward and as you expect of a chain. Very good service throughout with a lot of organising for 14 people and a lot of help with Taxis etc.
Perfect Location
If you want to stay in the centre of the City of Paris this hotel is ideal for you. It is located a block away from the Cluny Museum (a personal favourite of mine that is undergoing a facelift so check for its opening times). It is a block away from the Boulevard Saint Michel and the Boulevard Saint Germain. Many of the great site of Paris are in easy walking distance of the hotel and the metro station is about a block away. The staff are courteous, helpful and friendly and most speak English which is a boon for Anglophones. I have stayed here on three occasions and have never been disappointed.
Small hotel, tiny room, poor wifi.
Good location but not 4 Star
Good location. Not really a 4 Star but the location is what is good. Small rooms, no tub or view but quite. Updated bathroom.
Super convenient location, friendly staff!
Let's get this out of the way first: if you're used to American hotel rooms, then you may be in for a shock: the room was quite small and so was the shower in the bathroom. But they're clean and the beds are very comfortable, plus there's a kettle for tea and the like. The location really can't be beat, with two Metro stations (Cluny La Sorbonne and St Michel) within easy walking distance and it's just a stone's throw from Notre Dame and the Cluny Medieval Museum (do yourself a favor and take a morning to check out the amazing 500 year old Lady and the Unicorn tapestries!) The staff was very accommodating (hi Amy!), there were fresh baked goods at the reception desk each night, and you can arrange a cab to the airport starting at 35 euros flat rate. I already recommended this hotel to a friend, and I hope he takes advantage of it!
Hotel great location
Clean hotel , small room, great location, 3 people of the staff super nice.
Wonderful , short stay in Paris!
Lovely, small hotel in a wonderful location! Would stay there again in a second!
Situated most conveniently - very helful staff -
In excellent neighborhood - convient to walking and transportation and staff exceedingly accommodatring
Great place - clean, super close to Notre Dame, the Pantheon, etc. Good restaurants and cafes very near by. Only complaint was added on room tax of 2.50 euro per person per night (we were out of cash) - usually that's noted on the site before booking. This wasn't; fairly certain we paid the tax twice.
Nice hotel
This is a very clean cute little hotel. 5 min walk from Notre Dame. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. I only hade two incidents that took a star away. There was one night that I came back at 1:00 am and the door was locked. I kept on pressing the botton and nobody was showing up to open the door. I was getting a bit nervous until somebody Finally showed up. The other one was that I had to asked for toilet paper twice when I had zero paper when they went to clean the room. I was told I needed to asked for this, which is fine but I was never informed of this when I checked in. other than that the hotel is nice and the location is perfect.
Nice vicinity to Notre Dame
Although small rooms, the location, staff friendliness and overall atmosphere was welcoming and accommodating. If you need large space, this hotel is not for you as storage for multiple suitcases is difficult.
Great hotel- wonderful breakfast!
Great location, wonderful staff. Did not get shampoo and blow dry her a little weird But breakfast way better than expected!
Great location, ok service
Location was perfect, central and easy access to the metro. The room was small but expected, it was clean, bed was comfy and sufficient for a good nights rest. The service was good for the most part except the one gentlemen we dealt with. After a 10 hour tour of the city we came back to our room for a quick change for dinner only to find a pool of urine on the side of the toilet, it stunk up the whole room and we had to open the windows. We went downstairs to talk to the concierge and the gentlemen was completely dismissive and rude. The mess was eventually cleaned up but the cleaner left dirty footprints all over the floor and carpet. It was pretty gross...
Boutique Hotel in the Paris Latin Wuarter
This hotel was very nicely positioned - close to the Metro, very close to good restaurants and shopping. The staff was wonderful!!! Sophie and Amy could not have more wonderful and patient. The room was very small for two people and no drawer space at all. If I were to return and I would, I would choose a larger room. Breakfast was good - nothing special. It had all that we needed and they were even accommodating with what they called an express breakfast for late risers as we were one of our days there. Everything was impeccably clean.
Nice tiny hotel seconds away from the Latin Quarts
The hotel is in a great location. Close to the Latin Quarters, Norte Dame, metro, and all kinds of shops and boutiques. The rooms are tiny, the hallways too. Two large suite cases, and two people and there's no room to pass each other. But I guess this is the French way! Room was clean, bed made each day, no complaints there.
Great location
Within walking distance of Notre Dame, Pantheon, Cluny Museum. Nice cafes near by the hotel.
Nice hotel close to historical part of Paris.
Great stay except fire alarm went off three times in two days. Staff were great, it was an inconvenience.
Great staff, location and price
Exceptional service (Ladies) the front desk during the day. Night time service (Gentlemen) leaves much to be desired with less than mediocre staff. Rooms are small but adequate and clean. Considering the cost of the hotel, a great find.
Well worth it
First class . Service from the hotel staff. Very helpful . On directions. Around Paris . We'll worth a visit
Comfortable Clean and reasonably Cheap
The title really says it all. Our second visit to this hotel and I would say that if you wish to stay in this area of Paris then this hotel is ideal. We did not choose to have breakfast at 16 euros as in the café/bars within yards of the hotel the choices are great and less than 10 euros.
Great location. Basic amenities.
Hotel was in a great location near multiple metro lines. Area wasn't too loud and it was nice walking by the Notre Dame Cathedral back to the hotel. Room service was inconsistent throughout the week we stayed on replenishing various amenities for the so called "privilege" room. Nespresso in the room was convenient. TV and mini fridge were pretty old and doesn't meet the mark for modern.
Girly weekend in the Latin Quarter
Lovely hotel in a really good location. Five minutes walk to Notre Dame, Pantheon, Latin Quarter, but still nice quiet, safe area. Hotel was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel felt a bit cramped at times - squeeze getting in and out of lift and sometimes couldn't get the lift as cleaning staff were using it to move equipment around. This was the only negative and would definitely stay here again.
Fab location
This is a small hotel with even smaller rooms, but does exactly what it needs to when exploring Paris. The location is excellent-walking distance from many attractions and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want a clean and tidy place to stay in a central location this hotel works. If you're looking for a luxury spacious room to spend your time in, it may not be the one for you.
Nice hotel. Only the rooms were freshly painted and the smell wont go away. The location is superb. Hand a pleasant stay though.
Good location near Latin Quarter
Friendly reception staff on arrival... at other times too busy on the phone to even acknowledge people waiting. This is not a 4 star hotel. Paper cups and mean supplies of tea and coffee. Plastic glasses in the bathroom. We asked for proper mugs and they were given to us but the maid did not replace them. Extremely small room for the price, had to negotiate a passage between the bed and the wall mounted TV. Very dark room with little natural light and a view on to a wall...
Cosy and convenient
Great location & very friendly & helpful staff. Room was very small but comfortable.
Convenient, take an upper room away from st
The first night (Saturday) the street noise was so loud, it felt like we were in the middle of a road. Second floor facing street. The staff were nice. Not like the Mercure in London, which is why it was booked. Towels were thin. Shower curtain did not fit the shower. Breakfast area and service were above average.
great for the price
Pretty good location. 10 min walk to Île de la Cité. I was here for business and the quality was quite good for the price in Dec. 2016. Nice bathroom in the room I had. Breakfast was ok.
Nice, small hotel, located nicely in the city.
Rooms are small. Showers are small. Corridors are narrow. €15 city tax charge you must pay before you leave. Rooms are nicely decorated. Tea facility in the room is paper cups and a shot of milk. you can open room window fully and look out like you're on a balcony (not recommended for children). Friendly helpful staff. Approx 1 hour walk to Eiffel Tower.
I would not recommend this hotel, the bathroom was to say the least dangerous. No shower mat and a slippy bath surface, no soap, it was small and no room to actually sit on the toilet seat as it was too close to the bath and the bath screen was fixed, I kept banging my head as I tried to sit down, it would have been better to have moved the toilet seat to be facing out the way rather than into the bath, if you are over 5ft, don't go, bearing in mind this was a four star hotel, I would give it only two stars. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the location great, the bed was comfortable and the room decoration was fresh, no drawers units in the room, which was annoying. The air conditioning unit gurgled all night like listening to water running, again annoying.
Cozy and Convenient
It was great.
Great location and friendly staff
I enjoyed the hotel immensely. All of the staff were friendly and spoke English. The facilities were very nice and I especially liked the lounge area in the lobby.
Comfortable and well located hotel
I've been to Paris many times but was taking my mom on her first (highly anticipated) trip. The room was small, which you expect in Paris, so not an issue for us, but because of layout the door only opened half-way before banging up against an angled wall. Not an issue for us but someone with really big luggage might struggleif they got that specific room. Great location, really easy transport links to Gare du Nord, barely a five minute walk to Notre Dame, lots of little street markets, but not too noisy or chaotic either. Great shower pressure and the water was instantly hot every time!! I would stay again just for location.
Nice hotel close to Notre Dame and Latin Quarter
The hotel was good - bed comfortable, close to great restaurants and sights. We were woken up by street noise several times during the night, but c'est le vie. The staff was excellent - very welcoming and helpful. Great English.
Beautiful little hotel right in the centre of Pari
Wonderful friendly staff, very positive experience in Paris! Will definitely stay again
City break
Lovely hotel - excellently located for all the main sights in Paris. I would stay here gain.
Good location very small umcomfortable rooms
Good location, extremeñy small bath and room, very clean, nice people at reception and very poor service from housekeeping
Wonderful Staff!
Thanks to the Mercure staff for being so wonderful and accommodating during my stay! Special thanks to Simon who responded "no problem" to every request. As a woman traveling alone I felt like I had the right support, guidance and recommendations. Thanks for a great vacation!
Great location and reasonable price
Simone was very helpful
Stay July 2016
I was rather disappointed with my room. The room was smaller than expected and the shower also extremely mediocre. I had no hairdryer which would be expected at the rate that was paid. I found the hotel very expensive for what was offered. The hotel staff however are fabulous and very helpful.
great location
location is key, otherwise it is just another average hotel in Paris. we are used to small rooms, but thus was by far the smallest bathroom we have seen in over 8 years in Paris.
Clean sufficient great location
Great location close to Notre Dame, Cluny Museum, Luxembourg gardens and German de Pres area. Had everything you need but worlds smallest room.
Tres bien
I chose this hotel because of the location but was rewarded with excellent staff service (especially from Patrick.). The staff spoke English and were very helpful with local restaurant choices and were always a pleasure to talk with. Patrick managed to fix a minor maintenance issue in our room on a Sunday. A major feat in France !!
great location great staff!
Fantastic experience for our stay and my Birthday! Great staff very kind and helpful especially Stefan!
Nice hotel in the Quartier Latin.
From the hotel, you are on a short walk to the subway station and the train station. It is very convenient and easy to visit all the attractions in Paris.
near Notre Dame
Cute little hotel near the Notre Dame Cathedral and bus tours, literary section of Paris with many bookstores. Close to many restaurants and sights
Good area in Paris
Nice very clean hotel rooms rather small. Would recommend to friends and family.
Good location, bedrooms small but comfy and clean.
We had a great weekend. Wouldn't recommend the breakfast, cafes nearby. Too expensive Staff were very helpful, rooms very clean, nice to have a fridge and safe. Comfy beds, room small but not in it a lot. Great location, lots of lovely restaurants around. More like 3 star! Need mugs in room and not paper cups, towels too small and better quality toilet paper needed!
What size is less than small?
Lovely staff, and a nice little hotel in a good central position. The room was laughably small, it was hilarious that once our bags inside we had trouble navigating our way around the bed or to the bathroom. Still slept well and can complain about a good nights sleep.
Excellent location
