Super handy for the station.
It was exactly what I was looking for; a 2 min walk from the train station (Gare de Lyon). Nice lobby, room okay, suitable for one night, near many bistros. Plane was delayed next day which gave me time to walk around the Bastille area. If you have to be delayed, let it be in Paris! Very nice staff. Small breakfast bar for cappuccino and charging stations.
Great
Excellent
Hard to find. Make sure to head for the Train Bleu restaurant and exit from there either left or right. Room was quiet despite proximity to station. Breakfast total rip off. Awful in terms of choice and quality for the price. Avoid and go to a cafe instead. Tea bags available in the room to make tea but no milk. Staff helpful but totally bemused by my request for some.
Excellent room and great breakfast.
All good great for Gare Lyon train station 1 minute walk
This is a very nice hotel, quiet with a lovely breakfast. The area isn't the best walking late at night but it is right beside the train station and metro.
Location, clean, perfect! Great breakfast!
Very quick overnight stay. Room pleasant, staff very helpful.
I left four, new Olympic towels on the bed, because they make the bed each nigh but don’t turn it, I thought it was safe spot. Nope😞 the towels were apparently scooped up by the cleaning crew and by the hour we noticed the towels were no longer at the property. The cost of the towels were more than the hotel Stay, I felt they should have offered some kind of .
Ideal location
Ideal location, helpful staff.
Good location not a great hotel
Location is good. Attached to the Gare de Lyon so we were able to arrive on a late train and go straight to the hotel. The staff was not friendly. The sheets were scratchy (I slept on a sweatshirt) and uncomfortable. The view was the top of the roof with a pile of detritus from a construction project. Not very welcoming in any way. Also the night clerk said breakfast was included, the morning clerk said it was not. Won’t plan to go back. There are so many better places in Paris!
Area had numerous homeless people. Check-in process rather slow. Cleaning of room was excellent.
We stayed for three nights. I’ll start with negative. - the airconditioning was not working for two nights. we were told that they turn off the system during colder season. Positive: - The reception clerk Mr. Rafael gave us an electric fan. Thank you. - Reception manager Miss Alice, gave us a compensation by allowing late check out. Thank you. - The following afternoon, both Mr. Rafael and Miss Alice knocked on our room and provided us with a box of cookies, were very apologetic about the inconvenience. These are the kind of staff that Accor should cherish. Thank you.
Hard to find at first due to the facade covered with scaffolding. At first, I thought it was just a bar-cafe than a hotel.
Ok
Convenient
Very convenient for Gsre deyon Station
My trip
Perfect location great staff, so helpful. They had a cute bar and small snacks. Would definitely stay there again. 2 min wake from Gare de Lyon
Wonderful service extremely clean
Very nice hotel right next to Gare du Lyon station. Room was very good. Mine looked out onto the roof of the station, and with the window open I could hear the SNCF chimes and the station announcements. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I really liked this. Generally the hotel was convenient for lots of things, and there was an array of cafes, shops and restaurants nearby. I went for a run along the Coulee Verte - which was a raised railway line now turned into a linear park - which starts very close. Due to the proximity of the station, transport links are excellent.
Staff were most welcoming. Thanks! And will return again.
Nice hotel near Lyon
A good hotel right next to the Gare de Lyon. The room was small, which is typically like all budget hotels in Paris! I liked the fact that the room had a bath tub and arrangement to make tea or coffee. They didn't have any UK plug socket in the room, though they had some very slow and fiddly USB chargers. The reception gave me an adaptor but had to pay a €20 security deposit for it. Not a big deal. But what should it is, it was two apaptors to convert it to UK! So I couldn't use it, as it would fall off the wall socket due to the length and weight.
This spot is so convenient! I had an early-morning train at Gate de Lyon, so this was the perfect spot. Clean, easy check-in, and friendly staff!
Great location
It was a great location next to Gare de Lyon and staff were very helpful n friendly.
Extremely convenient for people traveling from Gare De Lyon.
small rooms. great AC. ideal for one-night stay near Lyon train station.
I never stayed there I made a reservation for the wrong night. When I tried to change my date with Expedia they said that they could not do it so I tried with the hotel and got the same response Expedia blames the hotel and the hotel blames Expedia
Located in one of the main train stations in Paris, excellent service, the staff were extremely helpful.
Too small rooms.
This hotel is poorly managed
Good accommodation. Very convenient location right next to Gare de Lyon train station. Breakfast had a lot of options.
No ventilation in bathroom
Small utilitarian rooms, clean. Bar and restaurant were closed for renovation. Attached to the train station, so good for an early departure. Uber can’t drop off or pickup here (taxis only).
Excellent location
deal for train travellers.
Comfort and convenience next doo to the station. Ideal for train travellers.
Great for Gare de Lyon
Great for Gare de Lyon Station. Rooms are small but perfectly serviceable. Fine for a night or two
No wah cloths, no bars of soap, no luggage rack, no place to put luggage. Breakfast excellent. Would book a different in future.
Not worth 4 star rating
The room was quite small and old. The shower situation was risky as it was installed in the tub. There was no anti slip mat provided. Not convenient at all.
Super Paris Hotel
Excellent hotel. Adjacent to Gare de Lyon.
great staff.
it was very convenient and good quality price ratio
Room slightly small but comfortable, fashionable, quiet in spite of the train station next door. Perfect for us to catch a train at the Gare de Lyon.
Hotel showing it's age
While the location is good, the room conditions were not 4 star quality. The phone didn't work, housekeeping was rather rude, and although we booked a taxi on departure, the booking was not made.
Moyen
Perfect Location and very clean.
Great location, nice decor, good breakfast. Can hear the underground trains rumbling below on first floor.
Loved the convenience of the location to the TGV train station!
Lovely hotel easy to get to
The hotel is close to one of the main train stations, both metro, regional and high-speed trains. There many varieties for breakfast, the best tasting is their croissant. More selection of coffees/teas/juices and milk/yogurt and cereals. They have assorted cheese, salads, cold cuts, boiled/scrambled eggs, pastries and breads, warmed/cooked food such as sausages/potatoes/veggies/bacons to a name a few. The room is small but 2 medium luggages can be accommodated. The toilets are clean, with basic Toiletries but no slippers. They have free water for 2 and get refilled daily. Though its nearby road and train stations, it was quiet. Heating is enough and you can control to as high temperature if needed (30c) What I dont like is that, you need pay for the storage for your luggage. €8 for large storage (can fit 2 medium size), €4 (can fit 1 small luggage and backpack).
TV Options
No longer has BBC TV channel.
Great stay at Gare de Lyon
Stayed at the hotel for a night to catch a morning train to Basel the next day. Everything was just perfect. Room facilities and amenities were good and new. They even include a free minibar. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Paris, even though not taking speed trains. (Just a little FYI, they don’t keep luggage for free. You need to pay several euros to use their lockers if you don’t have a room yet when you arrive at the property or you have to come back after checkout)
Enjoyed our stay
I like the energy efficiency of the card activated room electricity. Our stay was nice and slept well.
very good location good staff fast elevator and clean rooms
Overall very good, two complaints, the WiFi in the room was so poo
Hotel and outside area under construction & renovation. Service was excellent. Location is excellent for train and metro transportation. Hotel was very secure.
Building works in hotel .zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzxxzzzzzzzxzzzzx ..
Cleane and convenient. They have awesome window which makes perfect picture. No joke.
Very convenient adjacent to the Gare de Lyon train/Metro station - the reason why we chose the property. Lobby area not so good - no toilet facilities - some construction work in progress so perhaps this is being addressed Staff very helpful and courteous
expensive night
They are asking a deposit of 50€ to get the room. If you can't you have to take the breakfast : 20€ very expensive ....
I had a frustrating time checking in so they upgraded my room.
Good location, very convenient
noisy area
The area feels barely safe for tourists - there are military guards circulating the area and the railroad station and many migrants and beggars are trying to talk to you about one thing or another. The hotel was clean the staff was ok but the room was super small with no storage space - Luckily I was only there for only 2 nights as there would be no space for my luggage or clothing -- the bathroom had been updated and there was no issue other than the noise of the street with the constant taxi rivers honking their horn or the police/ambulances interfering in some street activity - not a restful night (ever)
It is excellent to stay for vacation in Paris, France.

Nice hotel
Breakfast was great. The room was small but adequate. A/c was ok. Staff was friendly. Location was convenient for the midnight bus from Vaux de Vicomptte, dropped us off just outside.
Hot nightmare
Air conditioning broke, They could do nothing about it. I asked for late checkout so I could eat before leaving. They agreed but the door card would not work the room to let me in to get luggage. I found a maintenance man to let us in. Then we were trapped in elevator. When we finally made it to the desk for check out the manager refused to offer any assistance or help. I asked him if he would comp our breakfast and he said he could not. The breakfast buffet is 22,00 a person with their conversion rate it was 97.00 for two breakfasts. That was also a crazy price. (I did learn to charge everything in euros after that.)
location is good, room and toilet is clean, kettle is clean, comfortable pillow and bed. staff are friendly
Close to public transport, near convenient shops in train station, but can hear low rumbling of trains in evening, also wasn't happy to be charged for leaving luggage at reception on our check out day
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel. Good for Gare de Lyon
AC in the rooms and on the floors is abysmal. Otherwise it sc as good hotel.
You can just about survive - not worth the money!
This hotel doesn't offer value for money. Either the bed room is too small or bathroom is very small. You can just about turn around in the bathroom without tripping over by knocking over the toilet. Some of the pictures shown on the website do not in anyway do not resemble the rooms available.
The cupboard in the room was not cleaned, it had pair of socks left by previous guest. Location is excellent with friendly staff. Breakfast has a lot of options to choose from, highly recommend to take their breakfast option. There is storage lockers for baggage as opposed to hotel storing luggage, you need to pay for luggage storage something to be aware of.
Pros: location, attentive staff Cons:Kids are not stay free, tiny room, luggage deposit fee
Very convenient hotel. Easy check in. Dry polite staff.
There was a small closet and no dresser in the room. It was hard to fit a week worth of clothes for 2 adults.
If you want to catch a train to Europe this is the place to stay. Walk out the front door to the Gare de Lyon train station. Easy to get the metro into the cbd . Good restaurants to choose from near by. Room is small but for a stop over it was excellent.
The hotel beds were uncomfortable and we got locked in our room one night as the door handle did not turn to unlock the door. Apart from that hotel was amazing
Broken A/C, not worth if travelling through summer
The temperature inside the rooms were insanely hot! Although set at 15C, A/C obviously broken, the temps did not change. We had to open a window just to get some air! We were sweating through two nights! Sadly we didnt look forward to staying even after a ling day of walks. I’ve read through some reviews mentioning this but trusted that they have addressed it by then. But no, it was HOT!
Location brilliant
Great Stay Great Location esp for TGV guests
Worth every Euro. Just across the TGV station and within reach from all monuments in town.
Diappointing
Close to Gare de Lyon which is convenient BUT there is significant noise from the ?underground trains. They start at around 5.30! Doesn't offer four star experience. First room I was offered faced out onto station fast food outlet extraction fans and stank of fat. Second room was offered without fuss and was OK.My husband's room had a "king sized bed" but the two mattresses were not locked together and slid apart in the night. The second room was OK. Facilities in the room and bath room were not even of usual IBIS standard. The shower was over the bath, and difficult to access; there were no grab or safety handles. The bedroom had no where to rest a case. And was only comfortable for one person. There were only cardboard cups and wooden stirrers. Very limited supply of tea / coffee. On the plus side the fridge with free bottled water was a nice touch, though the maid forgot to replenish, and the in-room safe was useful. Breakfast was good though expensive. Staff in breakfast room were attentive.
Nice and close to the train station "Gare de Lyon"
perfect location for traveler who need to take the early morning train to other cities
The hotel is central and a great base to travel around paris. The room we had with a travel cot for our toddler was a bit cramped. However it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The wifi did not work properly at all, the signal was very weak and kept disconnecting.
Convenient location for the Gare de Lyon. Stayed overnight as we had an early train to Zurich the next morning, so it worked out well as it was right in the station. Clean hotel, friendly staf.
Value, Convenience, Simplicity
The Mercure Gare de Lyon hotel adjoins the TGV station, which makes it ideal as a stop-over for return or onward travel to the south of France. With normal (which in Paris means quite heavy) traffic, it's also just 60 mins by taxi from Paris CDG airport. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed to ask questions or needed support. In addition, there was a remarkably simple and quick check-in and check-out process, seconds rather than minutes (other hotel chains please take note!) The hotel itself is modern and clean, in the public areas and rooms, and although my specific bedroom was on the compact side, it was nevertheless sufficient for my needs and most importantly spotless, fresh, and well equipped (large TV, safe, fridge, plenty of sockets, great lighting combinations, air-conditioning). The hotel doesn't have a restaurant per se for evening meals (though Room Service meals are available), but they do offer a fine buffet breakfast with a wide selection of options. There are many restaurants, of course, within walking distance, as well as some of the key attractions that Paris has to offer. I know that prices can vary, but for what I paid for my stay, I would consider this simply outstanding value for money for any major city you care to mention. I would happily stay again to sample their other rooms.
Worse hotel ever
The worse hotel I’ve ever stood at. I’ve had to switch rooms 3 times. The shower was broken in 2 of them. The air condition was broken in 2 of them. I’ve had two people walk into my room when I had a do not disturb sign on the door. Once when I was in the shower and the second time when I wasn’t in the room. They left stuff with an apology note after I told them I don’t want anyone in my room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
5 Stars
Beautiful Hotel. Perfect Location for getting in and around Paris. Vey safe and secure. Staff were friendly and nice. Beds were extremely comfortable.
Great location for the Gare de Lyon train station
Staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke good English the hotel was very clean as was the bed room which was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and a good selection.
Satisfactory hotel, convenient to station
This hotel is in a good location if you are arriving at Gare de Lyon from another town, however requires 2 metro trains to get to most Paris locations such as Eiffel Tower. 30 minute walk to Notre Dame. The station is very unclean at the side exit & therefore outside the front entrance of the hotel is quite dirty too. The room itself had been recently renovated but the shower design allowed water on to the bench top & towel shelf. The furniture was average & not comfortable, a plastic chair & a stool. The pillows were like bags of air & flattened as soon as you put your head down. Breakfast was basic, prepared food in pots, automatic coffee machine and the plates were not good for eating on, 3 sectioned serving trays.
Excellent location. Right next to the Paris Gare De Lyon train/metro station. Friendly staff. Easy check in. Good breakfast. Automated bag storage available for late departures.
Nice hotel next to Gare de Lyon
Spent a night in transit from St Malo to Milan, and back for 2nd visit. Everything, bar the scrambled egg which was splendid looking but cold, was excellent. Highly recommended
Close proximity to the train. The air conditioner did not work properly and the room was very warm. We were moved to a different room, same situation. Staff was excellent!
Good hotel with access to train and other tourist sites
Great Location
The hotel is perfectly placed. Le-Bus stops right outside from the airport. Train and metro right underneath the hotel itself making traveling to see the sites easy and effortless. We arrived at the hotel around 4pm on a Friday and there was some maintenance work going on, they seemed to be using a lot of power tools in the rooms next to us and corridor. I tried to ask how long it would last, but between a mixture of my broken French and their broken English, I think they thought I was talking about the cleaners.
room’s very basic lacks comfort of a four * hotel
Convenient location if you arrived at Gare de Lyon late or need to leave early the following morning.
Conveniently located near the train station, too bad that the hotel is getting old and windows are not doing a good job canceling surrounding noises.
