Great stay and hospitality
Great stay at the mercure London Bridge. Location was excellent for what we needed (an afternoon tea @the royal exchange and a visit the following day to borough market). Gus on reception was particularly helpful, our first room was too hot (we didn’t realise the window could open - but nonetheless Gus was happy to provide us with an alternative, cooler room.
Great location. Friendly staff
We had a nice stay. The location was great for the plans we had in London (close to Waterloo and Borough Market).

Great first stay at Mercure London Bridge. The bar however did not take cash more just a heads up cause a few times we forgot and had to run back to our room for our credit card. The lobby was beautiful. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. Never ate at the restaurant but that’s because we went exploring early and back late so grabbed food elsewhere. Small rooms but again not there to hangout just sleep, shower and get ready for the day! They have a water filter machine on the floor we stayed so that was convenient for filling our personal water bottles.
Staff, location Room needs updating
Great hotel for a short stay and the area around the hotel is great. If you’re up to walk, you’ll be close to Tate Modern, the Millenium Bridge and other attractions.
Love that it’s a ten minute walk to Borough market and close to the tube. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Good hotel, would stay here again
Nice hotel, reception and bar area is very nice - rooms are a bit dated. Water leak (i think from ice machine) in corridor wasn't great, very soggy carpet! Good location.
I generally enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would book it again. I loved how warm, clean and quiet the room itself was (I could barely hear the neighbors), but the construction site outside my window was disruptive. I tried to work from my room, but found the internet too slow for my needs (graphic design). I found the front desk staff very friendly, but not very knowledgeable. Example: When I asked about alternative options for travel to the airport because the Elizabeth line was not in service on my travel day, I was told to take a Taxi ($$$), when in fact there was a different Underground option (Picadilly Line). When I asked for a recommendation to a spa that offers massage service, I was told "no idea - no one has ever asked me that" - let me Google it.... When I asked if they know what terminal to go to for Lufthansa (at Heathrow), I was directed to Terminal 5 (which was incorrect).
Boss location, handy for Blackfriars, London Bridge and Southwark tube - all in 10 min walk. Just behind the Tate Modern and the Southbank.
Highly recommended
Fabulous location and exceptional service
Perfectly fine.
A perfectly nice stay. Nothing jumped out as being exceptional or awful.
Would recommend
Room was in overall good condition and Hotel was well located. Bed was comfy, linen and towels all clean and room had a variety of amenities including fridge and hairdryer.
Everything was good, breakfast was really convenient with a lot of options to eat
The staff were great; polite and helpful. The bathroom was very nice, but the door needed repainting. The carpet felt cheap and thin, with no underlay. The bed was comfortable but slid around on the carpet with little pressure - maybe add rubber strips to the feet? The black-out curtains were great. Storage was average and the heating could have been better. The sofa was comfy and fitted the large room well. All in all, the room was ok but didn't quite match the price point. I didn't use any amenities so couldn't score.
Great location great staff
The staff were lovely, upgraded me when I arrived for free which was lovely… however the cushion on the bed had stains all over it and the “queen bed” was 2smaller beds pushed together so not usable as a queen. And then I got robbed by someone on a moped just after leaving the property. Not a great experience all in all! I did take photos but as my phone was stole so these are lost.
Staff were friendly and the lobby bar was nicely decorated. The room was quite small and the bathroom quite basic but overall a good stay with no issues.
Neat and tidy hotel, room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast choice was good and fresh.
Friendly staff. Great location and good value. Really enjoyed our stay and will deffo choose this hotel again.
The hotel staff were all super friendly. Water station on our floor was perfect for refilling bottles. The main lobby area has a nice bar and cafe area where you can sit, plug in and get some work done, meet up with others or simply people watch passerby. The rooms are quite small for two people to maneuver. A extra pillow would be nice for each guest. The bathrooms could use some maintenance care. I,e, The ceiling showerhead did not work properly and the shower glass divider was too narrow to prevent water from spraying out so the bottom of the bathroom door is starting to dry rot.
London trip
Hotel was in a good location, ideal for the Shard and surrounding areas
This hotel is really well-located, just a quick walk from the river, from Borough Market, the Tate Modern, etc. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and always happy to answer my questions or give a recommendation. The room wasn’t huge but was big enough for just me, and the bed was really comfortable. Definitely recommend!
Modern and well located hotel for london trip
Hotel was lovely and well positioned, very close to london Bridge. The hotel was nicely decorated and modern. Our room was small and next to the lifts but you couldnt hear anything in the rooms. So much so that we didnt realise there was a building site behind until we opened the window so the rooms are very well sound proofed. The room has air con too. Only downside was that i know i left my glasses in the room, they fell off the tiny bedside tables but the team have been unable to locate them for me.
Brillian Hotel in the City of London. Walking distance to Borough Market, Tower of London and St.Pauls. Lots of restaurants around the area. Also 5-6 minutes walk to Southwark and London Bridge tube station! Will highly recommend to anyone wants a weekend get away in the big Smoke!
Amazing hotel, clean & comfortable
Amazing hotel, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, relaxed and friendly staff, excellent food. The room was huge and very clean and comfortable, bathroom spotlessly clean. An excellent stay, would highly recommend.
Lovely clean & good sized room, very comfortable stay, great breakfast too.
Great hotel. Great staff
Loved the hotel and Staff. Ana was so kind and went well above and beyond.
Nice convenient location.
Great location. Staff was friendly and attentive
I love this hotel and try to stay here if I’m in London. Highly recommended
Was treated very well from booking in and going home.Food was excellent and staff service good
I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure London Bridge. The bed was so comfortable that it was sometimes challenging to get out and explore 😎. The room was a very good size, it was clean and nice amenities. It is within walking distance to the tube to easily get around the city. A special thanks to Marie for being a friendly, hospitable and gracious host helping to address any questions I had. Keep up the great work along with the rest of the reception team.
For a 4 star hotel no amenities
Both coffee machines werent working in the morning for a time
Noce hotel in Good Location
Nice hotel, friendly service in a good location. Many coffee shops, restaurants, and near market.
Amazing stay..couldn’t fault anything in the room. Perfect
Nice place and affordable
My son and I stayed at the Mercure hotel for four days in January. It is located at a convenient spot that is pretty close to the underground metro stations and also the Borough market. Breakfast is decent but nothing impressive. Room service was fine and fast and delicious chicken and check out was a breeze, friendly staff overall clean hotel.
The Hotel were great and very helpful an the hotel was great nice clean, well decorated, more than enough for one night. Our issue was the Marco Pierre Whites and the bar staff. We ate there because of the time and myself being Diabetic needed to eat. The bar staff had no personality were quite miserable as though they did not want to be there, we ordered around 7:15 and had to wait 30mins for a drink and ro get our starters. The mains came out and i had ordered onion rings extra, which came out burnt. But i was not impressed with the food, i expected better. The chips seemed as though they were frozen, as did the onion rings, My wife had a glass that was dirty and her Lasagne again seemed to have gone through a microwave because when of how hot it was and by the time she had finished the bottom of the dish was atill hot. Although we had to chase food and drinks because we felt the service was poor, we had to return the onion rings at no point did any member of staff, offer an apology, also we were only offered one menu when it became apparent that there was an Al le carte menu NEVER eating there again.
Repeat guest
I really like this hotel it's small in a great location. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable people that can get you to your destinations in the easiest wsy. Location is an easy to any place that you want to see (main sites), great area for coffee, restaurants, anf the Tate Modern museum is across the street bus line is right out front, there's very little to dislike about this hotel and its location. Would become a repeat offender easily.
Perfect Stay
My daughter and I were staying at the hotel as it was her hen do on the Saturday. The stay was great. I have stayed before so the hotel was my first thought of where to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was brilliant, loads of choice and reasonably priced. And when we returned on the Saturday night there was a nice surprise of a slice of cheesecake on a plate that said congratulations and 2 flutes with a small bottle of prosecco. Really nice thought.
Excellent location , close to the Globe Theatre and Borough Market
Underwhelming
We had a family room for 4 people, you would think 2 pillows each would be provided but no. Prior to arrival, my phone request for some room decoration for my teenage daughters birthday was met with enthusiasm on the phone. Alas no decoration was made on arrival. Breakfast... We were asked to wait 10 minutes when we came to the breakfast lounge. After waiting and being seated, there was subsequently not enough breakfast items to construct a breakfast from the buffet. We were left standing with other guests, plates in hands, with no apology or explanation. Items then came sporadically but hardly plentiful.
Only one minor comment--the water bottle, used to request/suggest use of your filtered water system had droplets of water in it....this is a breeding ground for germs and a turn off. Perhaps you want to swap out dry bottles form slightly wet ones? Very minor and didn't effect me as I always carry my own water bottles
Our shower completely flooded our room. We could hardly move as the room was so small. The air conditioning didn’t work & the noise kept us up all light!
9 minute walk to Southwark tube station. Easy access to downtown. For a non heritage building, the elevator is tiny… max 3 persons, creating a log jam in mornings. Bed was far too soft for me with terrible pillows. The room was fine with plenty of hot water in the bath!
London hotel standout Mercure London Bridge
Exceptional hotel, exceptional staff, fabulous location, food was good, its not a big hotel which is nice, there is a comfortable lounge area to sit and I did some work there as the lighting was better than in the room. The staff are stand outs, everyone of them went out of their way to help people. I could not fault this hotel.
Very convenient location.
Great place to stay
Anniversary few days in London, the reception staff were fantastic. The room was clean and very comfortable. We had nice, quiet room and slept well. Location is excellent.
Great location, nice bed, but poor air conditioning led to poor overall experience during sunny summer days.
Staff service was excellent . Very good breakfast
We liked the convienient location, facilities within hotel were very good. Decor was lovely. Atmosphere quite calm and tranquil.
Hotel staff very friendly but room was not worth the money paid
Mercure London Bridge is a nice and quiet hotel that is a short walk from the London Eye, Borough Market, The Shard, Big Ben, etc. The hotel is also close to multiple train stops. Olenka made sure our checkin experience extremely pleasant and welcoming. We appreciate her help and thank her for her warm personality. We would definitely stay here again if we wanted to be in this area. Watch my YouTube channel, Morgancita, for a room tour.
Cheers, Mercure London Bridge! We were kindly received by Esther at the front desk and found the room just as they promised with an extra set of twin beds for the kiddos. Pretty centrally located between London Bridge and the London Eye. We felt safe there and used it as a great jumping off point for our first ever London sight seeing trip.
Breakfast was not that great at all, but overall we had a good experience there.
Great hotel.
The hotel is in a great position, only 15 min. walk from London Bridge tube station. Shops and restaurants are nearby. The river can be reached in 5 mins. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Everywhere is very clean. Our room was well serviced. Breakfast was very good, hot food well cooked. Plenty of choice. We would highly recommend this hotel .
My family and I recently visited London and stayed at this hotel and fell in LOVE. The staff, decor, restaurant etc…everything was on point and I look forward to staying here again one day.
The hotel was perfect for our stay. It was conveniently located but just enough out of the busiest areas. Staff was always courteous and helpful. Plenty of great dining options within walking distance.
Very happy with our experience.
Everything we could ask for... Great location to stay to visit multiple Royal attractions! Love London!
Was pleasantly surprised by this property, having stayed at a few Mercure hotels over the years I was not expecting much, but this one was fabulous great bar and restaurant plus rooms have been updated with really good quality bathrooms. Happily stay here again
Nice property, staff was all friendly and took care of all our needs
Great property, excellent staff, great bar. The only thing that I can complain about is the thermostat in the room. I could not figure it out and the instructions were written very poorly. Next stay, I’d ask them for a lesson on how to make it work. Other than that, it’s a gorgeous place and I’d definitely stay again.
Staff marvellous
Staff were professional and helpful.
Great hotel with friendly and knowledgeable staff!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff and great breakfast buffet. We stayed in a Privilege Queen room with a sofa bed which was large considering this is Europe. The one thing I wasn’t crazy about was the cleanliness of the room. The carpet was not the cleanest, the pillows had stains on them and the mattress was old and sunken in on one side. It was so hard to fall and stay asleep on that bed. Maybe our room was an older one but they really need to check the quality of their bedding. It’s saving grace is the plentiful and fresh breakfast buffet…Definitely a good start to your day.
I loved my stay at the Mercure London Bridge . Great service, great bar, and the restaurant was awesome. I would recommend making reservations early because it was booked every night we tried to dine . You can still order from The restaurant and sit at the bar. The lounging area was super nice.
This is my 5th time to London, and first time at this hotel. We loved the lobby bar, the staff was great, and i would recommend due to location.
Welcoming, clean, funky surroundings, great food
Good location, nice facility, breakfast was okay but the same thing day after day. Drinks at the bar are quite expensive.
Lovely property, great location, friendly staff and VERY comfortable beds!
The checkin pieces was quick & smooth. There was however a smell by & in the main elevator. The room was clean & comfortable. Housekeeping did however forget to take out the trash one day. The towels are large & great. The in-room espresso maker was an added bonus. I do wish that the windows opened more than they did. It’s proximity to food & stores is pretty good. There was one girl in the restaurant on steak night (Monday) I think, she was a bit & inattentive. We sat at our table for almost 15 minutes before we could even order drinks. Then we felt a bit rushed during the meal. We ordered a ton of food from drinks, appetizers to dinners. We ended up just returning to the restaurant for breakfast & not for dinner. The restaurant employees could be a bit more personable. I didn’t like the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. When you take a shower you take another one from the condensation that accumulates on the ceiling. And the little cup in the shower drain clogs really easily. There was a housekeeping employee who apparently doesn’t know how to operate the elevator because everyday we’d press the button to go down from 6 & this guy would ride all of the way up to 6 with a cart & tell us that we have to ride the other elevator & I’d tell him “nope”. (Learn how to operate the buttons & be polite). Even though this place had its quirks, we did enjoy our stay. I may however have to pass on this place next time if it hasn’t improved.
Poor plumbing and dirty carpets
The experience at this hotel was fantastic. The staff was helpful and friendly. It would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of staying in central London.
Helpful Staff
Staff were very helpful and let us check in early, as we arrived earlier than anticipated.
🤗
I loved the staff, Marie was very professional and she was attentive to all my needs, although the food was good, the menu was great, but some of the things they offered were not what it have been, such as the spaghetti carbonara, and the herb bread, didn't have a Italian flair at all, but the pizza was good as well as the wings, a very nice atmosphere, and when I return, I'll stay again, my room was small , but it served it's purpose, no worries at all, the shower was GREAT 😃,
Location is great.
The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful
The hearing was set to 23.5 in the room and was too hot!!
No water pressure. Shower drain was poor. Flooded after a few seconds. Poor bar and coffee servive. Very slow in house restaurant.
Die Lage ist wirklich super und allgemein ein super Hotel mit sehr netten und aufmerksamen Personal. Würde persönlich immer wieder in London in dieses Hotel.
Great hotel, good location
Small but very clean and warm room with very comfy bed! The hotel is in a good location for South Bank and City of London. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
Over looked a Building Site! No Milk in the room and no shower gel in the bottle!
Lovely stay and a shout out to Esther, who gave brilliant customer service x
Our stay at this lovely hotel was absolutely incredible. The staff were such kind and empathetic people. The food was so good too! I love that they serve with heart. Definitely recommend!
Very pleasant stay
Check in was easy and friendly. The room was clean and ample room. Quiet too. Didn’t book breakfast. Decided to have breakfast so paid on day. It was very nice plenty of choice.
Overnight in London
Stayed over for one night on my way to Paris. Spacious, comfortable and quiet room where I had a great night sleep. Will return again
Ok
Nice hotel basic roof little bit battered in places but ok just for a overnight stay Staff were all friendly and i can definitely recommend the cocktail happy hour they were awesome 👌
Staff were great. Very impressed with breakfast having a separate area for gluten free including a separate toaster; not seen that before anywhere
Mercure was good.
Great location. Wonderful staff. Super clean. We wish there was bottled water in the room and a great coffee maker.
Beautiful modern hotel. Such warm staff. Lovely place, will definitely stay again.
Check in was late, but they gave us complimentary drinks... the room was nice but the shower gel was empty and when we asked for more they said they didnt have any, also the toilet seat was cracked. They did apologize and give us complimentary breakfast which was nice. The staff was very friendly and apologetic.
The room was in a convenient location for sight-seeing around London and worked well for our family of four. We liked the interesting decor in the lobby and thought the breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were also very helpful.

£40 to park your car is too much
Hotel is in a good location for the Tate modern I was very disappointed to be charged £40 to park my car for the night. I think this is extortionate when you’ve paid £205 for your room.
