Comfortable stay
Very comfortable stay
Usb and power outlets were not working and issue with the water also room was noisy in the morning did not rest well
Perfect base, super comfy
Stayed here for a festival in Tilburg and the hotel provided the perfect base for us to come back to. Extremely comfortable and clean with fantastic amenities. Big bed, coffee machine, fridge and huge waterfall shower. Loved the sauna room in the basement.
Hot room and no elevator working
Got a room on 5th floor and no elevator that worked, the iron was leaking water and the room was super hot when entering. Noise from the street due to party street being close. Breakfast was fine, weird service level with no attention from staff, but basic stuff. Would not stay here again if the elevator is not working and the rooms being cold beforehand.
Friendly and helpful staff, nice size room which was very clean. Definitely recommend, particularly if travelling to see live music at the Poppodium.
Avoid
We didn't get the best welcome to this hotel. We arrived late as we couldn't get parked anywhere near. The hotel failed to tell us the road to the parking was closed. After getting parked Tilberg looked like a warzone, litter and glass everywhere. It turns out we had just missed the largest fair in Europe, which was lucky if that is the carnage they leave behind. Due to the late arrival (just after 11), reception was deserted. It took us a good 10mins before we gained access to the hotel. To be fair, the man on reception was polite, helpful and good with the kids. The room itself was dated, dirty, and had mould around the windows. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly and the linen and mattress were stained. Had we have arrived earlier and staying more than one night we would have asked to have been moved.
Hair dryer almost fried my scalp… iron was not working properly. Hotel surrounded by bars. Not the property’s fault, but just keep in mind.
Brilliant hotel
Immaculate hotel, fresh , contemporary light rooms. Superb comfy beds. Well fitted out shower room with all the quality soaps etc. Staff superb and very polite and attentive. Food was lovely and coffee also available at bar. Would highly recommend staying here.
Good location and nice hotel
Perfect
Very nice central location close to everything. Center of the center. Convienient parking right at the back
There was some mold in the room next to the windows
Nice stay
We were a little early and our room was not ready but we were able to leave our cases to go for a walk. Had a slightly strange shaped room with a long "hall" and a small seating area but it did us ok. More luggage or bigger people might struggle a bit! Bed was comfy but second pillow was missing a case and there was a dead insect on the bed when we arrived. Overall, a good stay, quiet in the room and very close to the venue that we were going to.
Nice location, friendly staff but overpriced
Hotel is clean, great location, friendly front desk staff, but personnel who cleans rooms didnt know how to do beds and how to clean rooms, as they were not done correctly and found them dirty and disordered. Value for money seems to be not equivalent as should be cheaper for quality/rooms/services given and charging for breakfast is a minus, as should be free as other same quality and nearby hotels
Not terrible, but great, I’d not return.
Honestly it was disappointing - we paid for the premium room, and the room didn’t feature many of the amenities, rubbish on the floor from previous guests, door broken & the tv also didn’t work. Felt quite far from premium. Raised issue with front desk in the morning and got greeted with basically a shrug & no solution, came back in the evening and got a slightly better resolution even tho we did need to remind staff of the simple standards
Conveniently located in city center close to everything
Responsiveness was amazing
Between the Mercure and Expedia, half of our reservation was lost. Each blamed the other, but the Mercure was overbooked and had no rooms to resolve the issue. After 1 night we switched to a different hotel.
Modern
The location was perfect for us as we were taking day trips by train from Tilburg to various locations such as Rotterdam, Antwerp, Breda, etc., and the train station is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We will definitely stay at the Mercure when we travel to Tilburg again next year.
Disappointed in the amount wanted for breakfast €25 per person . We stayed in central Amsterdam for two nights prior to this stay and the charge there was only €15 per person , all you could eat hot and cold buffet .
A comfortable central hotel, close to bars & restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the breakfasts. A lovely stay.
Hotel was very easy to find just 10 minute walk from train station. Easily accessible to the centre with all cafe bars shops. Accommodation was clean and good breakfast Would definitely stay here again
Clean hotel, very friendly staff. Noisy inner city night life, sound proofing not up to the task.
short walk from Tilburg station. lots of dining options around the hotel. short walk to the shops.
Excellent property in the heart of Tilburg, which is a lovely town itself. I stayed for an event at the nearby 013 Poppodium. The room was comfortable, with an excellent shower. Facilities were good. The spa with pool is a nice bonus, too.
It is clean, modern, well equipped, roomy, and well situated. We really liked it. The check out time was 12:00, it made us feel very relaxed ad well.
In the middle of the town so ideal for bars restaurants etc Hotel is clean and well presented Only one criticism the breakfast was not the best but there is a McDonald’s 50m away
Great hotel. Perfect location, train station 5 minutes walking distance, restaurants and shopping a block of distance
Very nice hotel.
One night stay
Nice hotel close to everything.
Best Kept Secret!
What a great stay! We loved this hotel. Perfect location, walking distance to great restaurants. We went to Best Kept Secret festival. Was convenient 10 min walk to bus shuttle for festival. Will stay again. Room was a bit warm even with air conditioning.
Very nice staff, nice facilities (pool, sauna, turkish bath), nice breakfast, only it was Saturday night and super noisy until the early hours. We were situated near a place full of pubs. Of course it is a hotel in the middle of the centre :).
Short stay Tilburg
Amazing hotel, excellent facilities and friendly staff
Great central location, very comfortable, very good breakfast, quiet room at the back, very welcoming. Quirky access to the lift. Will be very happy to use this hotel again,
Tilburg city break
Had a great short stay, hotel is ideally situated for the town, but i does get a bit noisy on a Thursday night (Student night) as they all pile out of the club opposite. Staff were very friendly and professional. It has parking next door which is good for staying in the city. We hired bikes while we were there through the hotel which was easy and fun.
Great location, friendly staff, bed not so good
Nice location near all the restaurants and night life, but quite in the room. Nice reception, quick check-in, easy parking! Unfortunately the matrass was not good anymore, so not so comfortable for sleeping.
Tilburg
My stay in Tilburg was fantastic great hotel great city
Central location to nightlife and easy to get back to.
Good hotel but in a noisy part of town with a number of bars nearby so ask for a room at back of the hotel as bars open late so a few nights there was noise until past 04.00
In the centre of the town, very close to local shops and restaurants, a short walk to the local train station, nice interior decor, staff is friendly and helpful.
Wecoming
Very friendly and helpful staff
Main lift didn't work ok it was undergoing maintenance but it was very inconvenient, my room was on the fifth floor and the 2nd lift only went to the 3rd floor then i had to walk across the length of the 3rd and the go up 2 flights of stairs. For someone with high blood pressure and diabetes type 2 in the extreme summer heat that was difficult. The staff doing the room service didn't always put new soap out or coffee and the card to get access to the room didn't always work so there was a long journey down to the reception whether it was day or night to get it re-activated. best keep the card away from your mobile phone or the magnetic strip will be wiped clean! Hope improvements will be made.
3 star feel, broken lift, but good location
Best part: location in the middle of the centre, still good accessible with car as well as close to train station. Also excellent: breakfast, fresh food nice setting friendly staff. Only one (1) coffee machine for the whole restaurant is ridiculous. Reception staff is the weak point: slow, inaccurate, not focused, long queues as a result, many mistakes, not very client friendly. Even weaker point: only 2 lifts for the whole hotel. One was broken down all week. The other one (very small and overused) broke down on Saturday early morning and was not repaired until Sunday afternoon. Sauna: good facilities, unfriendly staff. Trying to hush clients out well before closing time. Rooms adequate but no safe, no bath robe, no slippers, only 2 towels for 2 persons (an "extra set' had to be asked) and room keycards that kept being deactivated on average 1 -2 times per day! With broken lift and long reception queus this meant loss of good mood and loss of holiday time of 1/2 hour per day. Cleanliness of lobby and front entrance bad. Rest of hotel and rooms fine.
I enjoyed everything. I look forward to staying there again. Thank you.
Great hotel and location
The service was great and the reception staff ever so polite and helpful! We stayed in 2 different rooms and they were both lovely, spacious and very clean. The location is great, right in the city centre something that I loved however our first room was a bit noisy. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice, clean room. Friendly staff.
It was a lovely property, right in the middle of the city.
Clean and modern hotel with good facilities and a nice Spa. Unfortunately, none of the spa facilities (apart for the pool) were open when we visited on Sunday morning (I don't think they open until 1 which was too late for us). They were very good for children with lots of colouring in and toys and games which was a nice surprise. The hotel restaurant was nice and wine bar looked excellent. Overall, good value in a central location. TIP if you are driving, park on the 9th floor of the carpark next door where you can directly access the hotel.
Amazing service
Amazing service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent spa facilities. Housekeeping was perfect. Definitely want to come back
Friendly staff ............central location......near train station
I can honestly say that it was the best hotel stay ever, and it wasn’t just the stay, I am going to go out on a limb and say that being their was an experience. Some of the nicest, friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Not just the hotel industry, but any customer service driven industry.
Upmarket hotel near O13.
Good sized room. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent hotel in the heart of Tilburg. Very friendly staff, clean and warm rooms, plenty of hot water.
.Handy for train station Plenty of bars nearby. Very spacious room. Good shower
Bathroom has glass doors with a large gap so the people can hear everything you we’re doing in it. Bar music downstairs leads to very loud bass in rooms. Download a rain app. Rooms are nice otherwise.
Lovely hotel , but no sound proofing to outside so very very noisy til 4am every night , even the light road use is heard , such a shame , just bang bang bang all night from the club opposite...
Nice City Centre hotel
Very pleasant hotel with interesting room layout. Very comfortable and easy access from the 9th floor of car park (which has 2 Tesla chargers and lots of other EV chargers too)
Ideal location
Excellent hotel located in the middle of streets full of dining and drinking places.
We have stayed here before. Always good service. In the center of the city, close by shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and recently renovated. Parking garage reached through the hotel. Very good breakfast. We definitely come back.
In the centre of everything. Great location for shopping, drinking, eating, you name it. The receptionists were all fantastic lovely ladies.
Good location
Good place for food and shopping. The hotel is nice, clean and good environment.
Good Find!
Staff were helpful. The business centre was not working, but staff were willing to print any items needed. Wifi was good. Room was clean, though it bordered on a busy square with a active church bells so it was a bit loud and bright throughout the evening. The drapes blocked most of the light but the sound made it tough for one of us to sleep (not the other though - so if you’re a heavier sleeper you’ll have no trouble). Overall a good stay, would stay again.
great located recommended hotel
the hotel workers was very nice and friendly, the location is great in the city center, not far from the train station and close to the shop restaurants and music venue.they also have a spa and a free pool in the morning which unfortunately i wasn't able to go to.
Perfect
All good, location perfect , everything perfect, will be returning next time we go to efteling
Very good hotel with first class service.
A very good hotel. Excellent service throughout our stay. Walking distance from Tilburg Railway Station and on the edge of the shopping centre. Great choice of restaurants on the doorstep. Would definitely stay there again.
Short visit to see family in Tilburg
Family visit so didn’t really fully use the hotels facilities. Breakfast was good as was the bar for a late night drink.
Mercure hotel right in the heart of the city
Beautiful hotel just been done up right in the middle of the city lots of bars restaurant near the train station easy access to Belgium and Amsterdam
An upgrade, but...
I got upgraded to an offsite appartment, in a building behind the hotel. It was big and decent, but internet was non existant, and the balcony door leeked cold air in December. But overall i love this hotel abd stayed in it nearly 10 times thus far
Perfect stay
Everyone was very friendly and professional, and the location was close to restaurants, shops, and other entertainment venues. I enjoyed my stay very much!
Would stay here again.
Conveniently located hotel for town centre
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is conveniently situated in the centre of Tilburg. However, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the room, particularly as it was a "privilege" room, not a standard room. The floor in the bathroom was dirty and there were big stains on the carpet throughout the room. The room was quiet which was a plus point, as the staff had asked me if I wanted a quiet room, being a Saturday night. I have stayed in the Hotel twice before and not had any issues with cleanliness. I felt I needed to wear the slippers everywhere, and also there was only one sheet below me (i.e. no mattress cover) and I did not feel comfortable sleeping with an open mattress. I actually did take some photos of the room, but would feel mean uploading them!
Convenient for facilities
Hotel good, friendly and helpful staff. Very good restaurant/bar downstairs. First 2 nights we were in Room 314. Unfortunately a noisy nightclub (Phillips - we think the name it was called) was opposite and after 2 almost sleepless nights because of loud music, we asked to move to a quieter room. The staff were obliging and we were happier until the last night, Monday 16th October, when someone somewhere was moving/dragging furniture around ( approx 11 pm). After we complained to the manager he investigated and ended it. Other than that we had a good 5 nights at Hotel Mercure.
I was in Tilburg one night to see a concert. I picked a hotel that was close to the venue. Am I ever so glad that the Mercure Hotel was perfect!! After being in Amsterdam in a very small room the room I had in the Mercure Hotel was very spacious!! And a big bathroom!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful especially after having to deal with others like me that descended on Tilburg for that concert. :-) And the breakfast the next morning was very good and helped me start off a day of traveling.
Basic hotel
Disappointed with the design and comfort of the room. The beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. The showe had no place to put items like soap and shampoo except on the floor. Every flat surface of s occupied by hotel literature meaning one is constantly shuffling by papers around to make room.
Tilburg
Good hotel in a good location. Not too happy with one member off staff at the check in desk and then on the phone while people were waiting. Rest of the stay was delightful.
City Hotel
Excellent city centre location, but there was a constant loud humming noise all night from the hotel, possibly the air con or heating system.
Hotel was good in every way other than the fact we were opposite the cleaners store/equipment room so we were awoken each day early with the sound of cleaners outside our room.
Ok
The hotel is ok but nothing spectacular. We were in a privilege room but it was very small!! The bathroom was alright but not great and once all our stuff was in the room there was very little space to move. The light switch was broken and we could not turn the light off and thought we would have to sleep all night with the light on until eventually we managed to turn it off. We did get 5 free drinks from the mini bar with our class of room which was nice. It's in the town centre but you have to pay for parking and the car park is not the easiest. It was ok for 1 night's stay but I would not want to stay longer than that
Top spot
Lobby newly developed and looking good.
Nice but a little bit inconvenient
It was nice but inconvenient that we couldn't check in early and it was under renovation so was a little bit confuse as where was what.
It was a hotel in the middle of the city
The first morning of my stay, there was a lot of building going on right outside the window. It started about 8 am. The rest of the week was not so bad because the work was in different places. Nothing was said about the work before arriving at the hotel. The bars were open all night and the noise was dreadful. I had to buy some ear plugs.
Nice hotel in the middle of the action.
We needed a place for one night and chose the Mercure Hotel. We were pleased with the hotel even though they had some renovations being done.
Very nice and clean hotel in a convenient location
I stayed twice in this hotel during business trips. It's located in a very good location, just in the city center. A variety of nice bars and restaurants can be found nearby.
Nice hotel in the very center of Tilburg
Nice hotel in the center of Tilburg. Plenty of restaurants as you get out. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, room furniture is OK (a bit 80-es style). Loved their breakfast, which has many extras not normally found in standard buffet breakfasts - smoked salmon, variety of integral/whole grain breads, avocado, several types of smoothies, etc. Did not try their spa, will do it next time.
Lovely hotel and place but the church bells kept waking me up.
Functional but nothing special
I was surprised to discover that all of the gym facilities and pool etc charged for access when this is not mentioned in the description. The pool/spa is also nude so not everyone's cup of tea. The room was clean and the bathroom facilities were excellent however there was no space between the end of the bed and the counter top so you have to keep squeezing round a corner. It was also pretty cold in the room and you can hear everything from room to room.
Great central Tilburg hotel
Stayed for two nights attending a concert at 013 venue in Tilburg. Great central location a minutes walk from the venue and ten minutes walk from Tilburg Central Station. Staff very welcoming and room very comfortable and clean. Would recommend for Tilburg.
Top location and very comfortable
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff, amazing breakfast and great facilities.
Perfect central hotel
Great location, modern rooms, spa. Rich breakfast
nice basic hotel
fine hotel, not great for food, clean and friendly
The hotel is centrally located, modern and clean. the room design, however, is awkward and uncomfortable.
Tilbury rocking on
Well if the hotel is good enough for top Dutch rock band Within Temptation to stay at its OK with me. The hotel is about 10 min from the station , right in the heart of the city. A warm welcome and easy check in to a the room large with a nice walk in shower did what I needed. They have an on site leisure centre but a word of warning for us brits - Tuesday was no swimwear day in pool or sauna . If your going to a concert at the 013 it's about 5 mins walk
Well situated hotel
Great hotel, friendly staff, conveniently situated in the town centre.
The front desk needs some training.
Good, clean hotel in Tilburg.
Our stay was for only one evening. The hotel was clean and comfortable and adequate for our needs. It is a bit far to walk from the train station if you have luggage.
very central
short night stay
Mercure Hotel Tilburg Centrum | Hotel in Tilburg | Travala.com
just okay.
It is centrally located, but is worn out and there is a lot of noise from the street and the AC system is worn out. I managed to have 3 rooms in 14 days and 3 stars would have been more than enough for this hotel.
