Well kept room with very kind and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent!
The washroom is so tiny. No proper door in washroom. Washroom door can’t be fully opened as the toilet obstructs. I’m a short (5ft) and even for me the sink was really, really low. Water splashes everywhere, when tap is turned on.
Nice accommodations just not crazy about Hanoi
I will be making a formal complaint about this hotel! After a very long and tired day, I was feeling cold and there was limited hot water! I was showering and the water went cold. We called reception who quickly sent someone to look at the issues and they said that this is an ongoing problem and we would have to wait for the water to warm up. This is a joke, I would never have stayed there if I had known this. We stayed there for 2 days (4 of us in 2 rooms) and we all had that problem.
4 star service indeed
Very new room and good location. Definitely a 4 star room and service. But the breakfast is a bit disappointing. Coffee is bad and not many variety of food
hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating, great breakfast fare, very clean hotel.
There is a lack of restaurant for breakfast around the hotel. The safest option is to purchase a room with breakfast.
部屋はいつも綺麗でした。 毎日の掃除もきちんとしていてスタッフも礼儀正しく印象良かったです。ネット接続が部屋の場所によっては少し不安定でした。
Everything was good, cleanness, room comfort, breakfast.
Clean and quiet
A value for money Hotel, located centrally
The toilets are a bit small n the toilet doors don't close properly. Otherwise, an excellent location n a neat and clean hotel with responsive staff
Value for money Hotel in an excellent location
Housekeeping was a little slow in responding to requests. Otherwise, a very good hotel
Fuss free business hotel. Will stay again
For business travellers, Mercure would meet most needs.
Very enjoyable in Hanoi
Long Weekend quiet stay on the middle of bustling Hanoi. Soundproof comfortable rooms, with friendly and helpful staff PLUS COMFORTABLE beds, decent showers.
Everything is great, however I dislike the need to have to go around the room to turn off all the lights individually before sleep.
Come back stay
The stay is good. The elevator is a bit too small n slow. The chair in the room is quite noisy when drag n I can heard similar sound from other rooms.
Wonderful surprises left and right
We chose this hotel because it was very close to the Thai Consulate. The warm reception at check in started us off with smiles and great advice. The restaurant there was excellent for both breakfast and evening meal; their happy hour was truly happy! The night before our departure, the staff gave us a surprise send off snack!
Great Service
You cannot fault the service. Breakfast has a good selection and it was comfortable with good air conditioning. Rooms are comfortable but bathroom is small. Location is ok easy to get to but is 20 minute walk to lake and old quarter.
I liked the location On the hotel : I think it is another building among apartments and other buildings. Room size is OK. Restaurant is pretty small one with mostly Vietnamese food. An average hotel , may be lower 2* catagory
Food very poor
High quality service
High quality service
The staff was very friendly. Good housekeeping. Gave us a bit of late check out which was nice.
The environment of the hotel is a bit noisy because is in the center of the town close to train station. The soundproof of the room need to be upgraded. The shower room need wall rack/tray to put shower items for the convenient of occupant.
Great Choice!
Fantastic hotel with friendly staff and great location!
Great stay, loved this hotel. Clean, tidy and in a great location.
Located in a great location this hotel provided value for money for us.
Centrally located
It was ok.
Mercure in Hanoi
Convenient hotel for all to do in Hanoi
OUr stay was very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave us some great recommendations for eating places around the area. Very well located .
Good hotel in a central location
Good modern hotel, nice and bright room, good central location with friendly and helpful staff.
Just OK but needs lots of improvements.
Breakfast spread was unappetizing. Almost the same every morning.
Good location, super friendly staff, and quiet room. King size bed is actually two twin beds combined, also pillows are too soft.
The price is expensive compared to the room facility and size.
Great service.
Very good hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. I could not hear any noise from the street. Very close to the railway station. The only problem I encountered was with the payment with credit card. My card was almost blocked. I told them that I did not want to enter my PIN code a third time since I was sure that I had entered it correctly. They finally found the problem and the payment worked without entering the PIN code a third time... The breakfast and the mini bar are a little too expensive.
Great stay
Very nice staff esp. Ms. Duong of reception team. Quiet and comfortable stay. Easily accessible.
The Mercure, a gem in Hanoi
The staff at the Mercure made my first trip to Hanoi memorable. Even though I didn't speak Vietnamese, the staff all spoke English well. The complimentary breakfast was a nice way of not having to worry about where to eat in the morning.
Great value in the centre of town.
It's not your typical Mercure standard but it's a great value in Hanoi. Staff is wonderful and very friendly and helpful. It's a better western style hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Probably one of the better sound proofed walls in Vietnam. Not directly in the old town area but uber is so cheap it's worth it to be away from the hustle and bustle.
good stay
returning stay. good hotel. friendly receptionist and bell boy Mr. Hoan has been extremely helpful during my stay. many thanks!
Very welcoming & helpful staff
A good place to stay. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. The place is about 5-10 min taxi ride or 30-min stroll away from the night markets and old quarters (near the lake).
Upgraded to a lovely room. Reception staff very friendly but restaurant staff could have been more attentive close to station but a long walk from food shopping and restaurants
Happy stay
Very satisfied with my stay. Good service.
Nice and comfortable
Stayed only one night but was a welcome rise in standard from earlier 4 star (self rated) hotels in Vietnam. Room was not spacious but was well appointed. Walking distance to and from the old town centre.
Clean and friendly
It was great experience and a lot of fun. Things are generally low prices.
Great Staff!
The staff went out of their way to assist in every way possible. One of them rushed out into the street to help when he saw my partner having difficulty deciphering the local currency whilst paying a taxi fare.
Superb stay
Went to buy quinine. Staff very helpful for everything. Restaurant employees are really really good.
Great price-quality ratio
Great price-quality ratio: A hotel with international standards at local prices. Excellent and reasonably priced breakfast buffet, once again with international standards. Only issues with this hotel: 1. Rooms are furnished with carpets which look dirty and old despite the hotel having a new feel to it on everything else. So carpets need to be changed urgently // 2. Elevators are noisy and can be heard in the rooms which are adjacent to the elevators, all night long.
Very good hotel.
Very pleasant stay except for one moron who blast his horn non- stop at 5am in the morning. Must compliment front desk staff members who are very nice and friendly esp Ms Chi.
Ideally located hotel with high quality service
Just a 10-15 minute walk from the old town and the same distance from the Ho Chi Minh complex, and ideal location for exploring Hanoi. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast is super. A good value for the price!
Good Place to Stay
Very nice place to stay and very central. Close to some good restaurants and many of the sights in Hanoi.
Great value
Guarantee pleasant stay
This isn't a luxury hotel, lobby is not big or gorgeous but I fully enjoyed one week stay. All staffs at receptions, restaurants and house keeping are very kind and friendly, always trying to help you. House keeping was almost perfectly done, might be better than 5 stars hotels. Need 15 - 20 minutes walking to old town, famous noodle(pho) shops or fine dining, but within 5 minutes walking, there sre each one French and Italian restaurants (both a bit pricey), and one big, popular, always crowidied and affordable Vietnamese restaurant is just around the corner. Again this hotel was perfect for me.
Good experience
No options to include breakfast when book
Great room but internet+bfast food are not good
The room and bed are great. The drawbacks are internet is slow and breakfast food is like 2-3 stars hotel. Other than those, it is good.
It's all right - we all make service lapses
Hotel Restaurant staff were polite. Unfortunately the kitchen staff a well as waitresses totally forgot about my lunch order. I think it was more embarrassing for them than it was inconvenient for me. The rooms were clean and pleasant.
Extra Mile by Front Office
Quality Services during my stay in Jan 2015, my colleagues from Australia wanted to go for massage. The staff recommended and the center send a taxi to pick him and wife.Unfortunately, my colleagues did not gave us the Massage Center number and did not answer his tel. Two hours later we asked the Front office Office Ms. Sang who has ended work at lunch time returned back to hotel at 3.00pm to provide the Massage Center contact. I appreciate the extra effort of Ms. Sang, Guest Relation Manager. Overall the hotel is clean and breakfast and drink are good. Will be back because of quality front office staff.
Just right
Pleasant place. Not too many good restaurants in area. The hotel bisto was great. Very sophisticated menu.
Very conveniently located down-town
Excellent value for money if you get the special deals offered by on-line hotel agents ( make sure you pay for a room with breakfast included). This will fill your stomach up for the whole day and you won't need much lunch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The little bar area ( including some convenient outside seats on the patio next to the street) was a comfortable place to unwind after a day's sightseeing. They have a happy hour for house wine and beer ( 2 for 1) which made drinking there really cheap ( cheaper than buying your own from a supermarket) The only negative aspect about the location is that the hotel is near the station and twice during the night /early morning I was awakened briefly by the horns of a departing train. Only disturbed for a couple of minutes or so and soon manged to get off to sleep again. Overall excellent value and I high commend. Oh and a tip....if you are only in Hanoi for 5 days or less suggest you skip the excursions way from Hanoi. Many of these are three hours travelling time each way which really kills off a day. There's plenty to see and do in Hanoi is you like museums and heritage sites Don't miss the water puppets. Splendid entertainment you will never be able to see elsewhere.
I'll stay again!
My second stay at this hotel. I was just as happy as the first time. The best part is the excellent staff!
Clean hotel in Hanoi
This hotel was a step up from the previous hotel I stayed at (which carried the same star rating). The premises were very modern and clean and the room had all the amenities you'd expect. It is a few blocks further away from the centre of town than I'd have liked.
No frills business hotel
Great service in a small but cosy hotel. Staff were friendly. Will stay again for business.
Good Service
Staffs are helpful and provide good customer service...
comfy beds
It a bit far from the main happening place, a 20 mins walk. B/Fast could be better spread and variety.
standard hotel all average
the room was tiny, the lobby as well. it is more a 3 star hotel than 4
Comfortable stay in the hustle and bustle of hanoI
Being a light sleeper, I had emailed the hotel in advance requesting a quiet room. I was provided a room on a high floor away from the Main Street. The staff at the front desk was helpful and provided information on restaurants close to the hotel which were very reasonably price. Staff spoke good English. There was free wifi In the room. I would stay at this hotel if I was in hanoi again at this price.
Nice clean hotel
Typical Mercure hotel, clean tidy with excellent staff. In a fairly quiet area away from the noise of the old quarter, but taxis are plentiful and cheap. We would stay here again if we return to Hanoi.
Beautiful hotel
I love the design of this hotel. It's very chic and modern. The room was very clean and comfortable, though the bathroom is a bit small and lacks hangers (in my opinions). Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay there. There's not much in the surrounding area except for a few coffee shops.
Comfortable room
Nice room with comfortable bed. Some staff are helpful but some are not as friendly.
close to many hotels and casinos
The hotel was nice and spacious rooms, nice il liked it! will saty again there!
Tiny rooms and super thin walls made my sleep really poor
Overall, I wasn't unhappy, but I wasn't entirely happy with my stay either. I would not stay again because there are better hotels for the same cost. I would only recommend this place if you absolutely prefer a European-style room with chic contemporary decor. There's not much hint of Vietnamese anywhere except for the receptionists wearing ao dai. Otherwise, I think the combination of having to PAY FOR INTERNET each day and the walls being very thin and traffic waking me up every day before dawn will make me go elsewhere. Pros: -good central location in Hanoi -clean, good room service -hot water -delicious breakfast -reception desk spoke good English -free shampoo/conditioner/soap -TV had good variety of channels Cons: -internet was NOT FREE except for in the lobby, which was ridiculous -lobby was small in the first place and not much place to sit except for a seat booth right by the elevator -the rooms were super tiny!!! I only had space to walk on both sides of the bed -the walls were thin and the streets were very noisy--woke me up at 5am in the morning every day -the shower faucet was very tricky to figure out (and I've traveled internationally quite a lot) and the water pressure wasn't very strong -everything in the wet bar was highly priced, moreso than you'd expect even in an American or European 4-star hotel
I would like to compliment staff
I would like to compliment staff from the front office, room service and F&B outlet for being helpful, friendly and prompt response in providing service requested for. They made my stay at Hanoi a memorable one. I wish to single out all the front line service staff from the Front Office Manager, Front Office Service Staff and not forgetting the Bell Hops are fantastic! Please convey my compliments to them for their good service and my wishes that they continue to keep up the good service at Mecure!
Mecure Hanoi La Gare
1) very polite and helpful staff, eager to offer good service and satisfy customers' demands 2) rooms are pleasant and comfortable => what i expected of Mercure brand
Hotel room was nice, with interesting
Hotel room was nice, with interesting colour schemes. Location was acceptable once you know where you are in the city. Internet charge was expensive.
The Hotel is relatively new and
The Hotel is relatively new and its amenities impeccable. I had two wonderful nights of good sleep due to its comfortable bed and sheets. Location is great especially for those travelling to Sapa as the Train Station is just a two minutes walk away. The Bathroom's glass shower is great for a single person or a newly wed but too open for older couple or friends staying together inspite of the roman blinds. I would recommend opaque film should be used instead. Nevertheless, I would definitely return to stay at this great hotel on my yearly trip to Hanoi.
Great hotel, brand new!! Good
Great hotel, brand new!! Good location, close to the old and French quater(walking distance) and reasonably priced.
Thank you
Great stay in Hanoi
Close to the Hanoi station. Handful of good local restaurants are in walking distance. Cozy room and nice breakfast.
Good hotel
立地がよく過ごしやすかった。
Friendly、Kindly
Everything is fine. Front desk is helpful and competent. The ambience there is relaxing and the overall services are good enough for a nice and enjoyable stay.
The staffs are nice, helpful and responsive by serving us proactively when we asked for twin beds and a bag of ice for my friend’s injured leg during our stay. Except the air-conditioner is not cool enough and it is not working at the middle of the night sometimes, i am quite satisfied for the stay.
