Great property, and so great for traveling with my pets!

Staff was really nice, hotel is located in the center of Clermont Ferrand, there is no restaurant in the Hotel but there are many dining options and shops close to it. The breakfast buffet was really good with fresh food, fruits, bread etc...

Perfect location and parking in a public car park directly below.. great easy directions to the parking supplied by the hotel. Lovely staff. Great stay!

Nice and clean

The hotel was quite enjoyable and clean. We stayed one night and we would come back again.

Nice sized rooms with a comfortable bed. The shower was a bit wild with no guard for the back where the water was splashing out the side. The gym was quite small, but I was happy to have one.

Best place to stay in Clermont Ferrand. It's located right at the center of the town in Jaude, restaurants, shops are easily accessible by walk.

Sullen slow service

Go to the Car park first, save yourself the stress of going the centre 3 or 5 times. Reception , once we got in was friendly. Decided to eat in the bar, the barman was dreadful, so slow .. it took 15 minutes to get our drinks , only 2 other couples on there, he was sullen and scruffy.. not 4 star service

It's in the very central location close to all attractions

Staff and service were outstanding, parking very convenient and reasonably priced. Room was great except for a heavy perfume smell that took a very long time to dissipate

What you'd expect from a Mercure - excellent cleanliness, staff could not have been more helpful. Located in central Clermont- Ferrand, short walk to old town and cathedral, just across Jaude square. Parking in public carpark under the hotel, access from carpark into hotel. Cost €12 for 24 hours. Breakfast choices outstanding, hot, cold, pastries, crepes, etc. Would return.

The hotel was nice and it is very close to the centre of Clermont-Ferrand. The parking being so close to the hotel was very convenient as well. The only drawback that I would say is that the pillows are very uncomfortable so we did not sleep particularly well.

Great location

The hotel is very well located, next to the shops and restaurants, the parking is very well organised, staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, we enjoyed the coffee machine and complimentary soft drinks. The only problem was with the air conditioning. We stayed in Junior Family Suite and one air conditioning outlet was not enough for the large room, bit too hot at night.

I stay here every time I come to CFE. The best bang for your buck (by a long shot), and close to all major amenities and tram lines. Recommend 10 on 10

Modern business hotel in old Clermont-Ferrand

Location was good, on the Place de Jaude. There were several bistros on the Place, and better restaurants not far. The old part of town, with the cathedral, the basilica, etc. was right nearby. We parked in the Parking Jaude B -- there were several places near the exit of the Parking for the hotel (you do have to walk outside about 10 feet to get to the hotel). The hotel was a modern business hotel. For the most part everything was modern and worked, except when we were there they had a problem with the internet, which they eventually fixed. Breakfast was fine. Front desk personnel were very helpful and spoke very good English.

Central hotel with good facilities

Stayed overnight on way to Spain. Check in was very welcoming, chatting about weather and children playing in fountain etc. Car park is a little difficult to find but once there is very safe and offers easy access to hotel. Room was very good with tea and coffee making facilities. No bathroom extras like shower cap, etc - but I had them anyway. Good breakfast - the lady maitre'd didn't speak English which was a bit surprising as she asked a lot of questions!

Great Hotel right on the main town square

The french in general are very helpful people. The staff at this hotel were great. Parking is public and validated by the staff. It is under the hotel but you need to know where to enter and where to park. Try to find any spot on the street next to hotel and run upstairs to check-in and get directions to the entrance or the parking. It is on the main square easy walking distance to many restaurants. Venture out to all corners of the square and beyond. Try the 1513 restaurant. Don't miss the "pui du domes".

Mercury hotel center of Jude.

The location of this hotel is excellent, rooms are very good kept spacious very clean and comfortable.Stuff of this hotel is very helpful.A nice suggestion would have been to have a restaurant on the side as in Europe on the weekends everything is closed. The same for the parking to have its own on the side instead of going around the parking places in the city.Rather then this nothing to change keep up the good work. I lve to go back some day again to this place. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

It was a very nice clean friendly stuff. Very convenient . Room was great with the city view.very quite comfortable after a long day from activities.

One night stay

Upon arrival, staff were helpful in getting my car into the adjacent parking garage. When checking in we were told that we would get a room with a good view of the city square. We were allocated a room with a view on the backyard. At breakfast, I found very little appealing to eat. There were no Croissants!! In France!!?? Shocking. They apologised afterwards when the hotel sent me a questionaire, but the horse had bolted. It wasn't a bad stay for one night. The room was comfortable and the staff tried to be helpful. Yes, I'll stay here again.

Nice hotel

Relatively new hotel right on Place Jaude. Parking available directly under the hotel for a slightly preferential rate and other parking available very close by. Good place to stay for walking around the centreville. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and asked about restaurants open that night as it is a very quiet town on Sundays. They had a list already printed up of nearby restaurants open on Sundays. As it is a newer hotel the facilities are very nice. Can't go wrong staying here.

Well appointed, but rather anonymous!

Our stay at Mercure was easy and comfortable. We had difficulty finding it but we should gotten specific directions prior to our visit. The hot water and coffee was a treat after days in hotels that did not offer it.

My French getaway !

This was a perfect two day getaway from the trappings of Paris and experience a little cosmopolitan town called Clermont Ferrand. The Mercure is only 15 minutes from the airport and is conveniently located near shopping. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very affordable.

Wonderful hotel in the centre of town

We were genuinely not expecting a great deal having previously stayed in a Novotel in Montpellier for similar money and being incredibly disappointed. However, the staff and the hotel in general are first rate. The breakfast was wonderful and the room outstanding. We are a family with 2 young teenagers so we struggle to find rooms that are large enough and we don't want two separate hotel rooms. (Why hotel chains don't get this I never really understand). This hotel was perfect however, one very large room with well placed walls to give enough separation. The location puts you right in the centre of town with a secure underground car park just a few seconds walk away. I really can't say anything bad about this hotel experience. The only point I would raise is that they could provide a little more information upfront about how to access the car park. We had to ring the hotel from the car as the directions took us to the hotel but the car park is accessed from a different street.

Good central location

Near the centre of things in CF. Beside the tram line, right on the Jaude Square which has plenty of cafes, shops etc. Short walk to the CF cathedral. Good buffet breakfast if you're fuelling up for a day of activities, but a bit pricey if you only want coffee and toast. Staff were very forgiving of me practising my French on them, but of course reception, bar and restaurant staff all spoked English. I knocked a point off because of some of the little things e.g. only providing paper cups to make coffee in the rooms. Many of the people attending the same conference stayed there as well, and I think the general sentiment was that it was a good place to stay. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

New facility right across the street from Place du Jaude. Staff are very accommodating and speak excellent English. Room had a great view of city and quiet.

One night in Clermont-Ferrand

We were travelling back from Oleron to Geneva, and decided to stop in Clermont-Ferrand. Mercure hotel is very well situated in the center. We had a junior suite family room with a very nice view on the place and the cathedral. Service was good.

This was just a one night stop over on the way to Cannes. It was one of the best hotels I have stayed in in France and will now book for my return trip. Brilliant location and so clean and tidy. Staff were really friendly too. Love it!

Mercure Jaude access

While the Mercure hotel itself is great with attentive staff and excellent rooms, its access is weird and difficult. By car, the address doesn't guide you to the parking entrance. Once the parking is found, the transit of baggage -as well as of guests- is very inconvenient. You have to take 2 elevators and you have to go outside for the transit between these two elevations. Bizarre.

Pristine modern high rise hotel in old town center

This is a modern high rise hotel in the center of Clermont Ferrand. Parking was close by in a city garage. Very large modern room with beautiful bathroom, exquisite lighting and view. Very quiet when we were there- the whole city was. Breakfast was the best of our two week road trip, except no hot milk for coffee. Easy walk to shops and restaurants on the square. Easy drive to the amazing Puy de Dome.

Great value & confort for money.

We found reception staff very friendly & helpful. It was later in the day when we arrived, we were not familiar with the restaurants around the area so the staff offered to make us a meal to make us comfortable till the morning. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We found the room very comfortable and nicely designed plus the room had a window that opened for fresh air.

Almost all was exactly the way it should be: comfortable bed, hot water with strong water flow, nice breakfast, prime location. Only minus was the Internet connection which got frequently disconnected, and required login each time

We had a fantastic 4 days. My first time visiting Clermont. The French people were so friendly. They could not have beem more helpful and that goes for ALL of the staff on the hotel.

IT HAS IT ALL

WE WERE TRAVELLING NORTH FROM CANNES AND GOOGLING WHERE WE WERE GOING TO STAY FOR THE NIGHT. WE DECIDED ON THE MERCURE. IT WAS AN EXCELLENT LOCATION RIGHT ON THE CORNER OF PLACE JUADE (CANT REMEMBER SPELLING). WE CHECKED IN, THE STAFF WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WE PARKED OUR CAR UNDERNEATH THE HOTEL. THE ROOM WAS EXCELLENT, IT HAD EVERYTHING YOU WOULD EXPECT IN A FIVE STAR HOTEL AND THIS IS A FOUR. FABULOUS DECOR AND THE PUBLIC SPACES WERE EXCELLENT TOO.

One of the best Mwercure's!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Mercure, Clermont Ferrand where we stayed for three nights. It was clean, had very attentive staff and was bang slap in the middle of town. It doesn't have a car park and the nearby public car parks are not cheap so you need to add EURO 10,00 per night to the cost of your stay. Although there is no restaurant at the hotel, there are plenty in easy walking distance.

A wonderful hotel stay

The hotel is very clean; spotless really. It is very new. I loved the way it handled turning lights on/off in the hall to save energy. The rooms was also spotless and very comfortable. It was easy to park across the street under the mall.

Good Location & Attentive Staff

Clemont-Ferrand was new to me. I found the location of being 5-10 minutes walk to the old city (i.e. cathedral, shops, and restaurants) and close to a large commercial center to be tremendous. The staff and cleanliness of the hotel were also excellent. Overall very pleasing and welcome for my fours days of stay.

Wish I could have stayed longer!

What I loved about this hotel: the location, the service, the breakfast, the bed, the furnishings and appointments, and energy- and water-saving features. What I did not love: I'll think about it and let you know! Really, for the price, an absolute gem. And, even though it's located on a fairly noisy square, I opted to keep the windows open, rather than use the A/C, just because I could! No kidding--totally loved it!

Great location and a nice, new hotel

If you're using GPS, search by address (not hotel name) or you'll never find it. The old Mercure is now another hotel; your destination is a few twists away. There is public parking under the hotel building. The reception is one floor above ground, and once you get there the staff is terrific and helpful. The design is quite modern and well thought out, from motion sensors in the halls to excellent sound proofing (most valuable if your room faces the transit line and Place Jaude, where things can get a bit noisy late at night.) Beds and linens are excellent, as is the bathroom/shower.

A FANTASTIC HOTEL RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF CLERMONT FERRAND. FROM CHECK IN TO DEPARTURE THE EXPERIENCE WAS MORE THAN I WAS EXPECTING FROM A HOTEL AT THIS PRICE POINT IN A CENTRAL TOWN LOCATION. THE STAFF WENT OUT OF THERE WAY TO MAKE THE STAY AS EASY AS POSSIBLE, RECOMMENDING LOCAL RESTAURANTS FOR US AS WELL AS TALKING THROUGH THE LOCAL ATTRACTIONS. AS A VERY NEW BUILD THE HOTEL FELT VERY CLEAN AND FRESH WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED AND A MUCH MORE PREMIUM FEEL THAN I WAS EXPECTING WOULD CERTAINLY USE AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dersom man skulle ha rom med dusj og ikke badekar måtte man ha rom mot byen. Det var svært mye bråk, både på kveld natt fra utelivet og på morgenen med feiebiler, søppelbiler og trikken som passerer utenfor. Antar at rom på baksiden av hotellet er vesentlig stillere. Hyggelig personale og fin beliggenhet sånn ellers.
