Great friendly staff. Very accommodating.

Excellent location for the National Library. Less than 10 min walk to underground; centre about 15 min. Attentive staff, clean and comfy room.

Is so dirty and is look so old … don’t look s-o safety and the bathroom is dirty walls too terrible

Good hotel to stay

Very nice hotel, with confortable bed and various breakfast. Central into bucharest. Nice menu card for lunch/dinner and the staff are very kind and helpful.

Wrong check in time

The only issue I had was it showed 1230pm check in on your website where as the hotel staff told me 1500. Checkout was 1130

Staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had a good selection.

The staff makes this place great. It is not far from the Old Town and best of all parking is free and right in front of the hotel.

I booked queen size bed, got a single bed. They did offer me Free minibar to compensate. The bathroom was complicated: issues with soap and shower gel, water was burning hot in both directions. Not an easy stay. But clean hotel

We spent a week in Bucharest and staying at Mercure has been a pleasant experience. Although located in the City center it was very quiet. Large and clean room. Good and rich breakfast and a bar in the lobby where they offer lunch and dinner as well. Great place! As for the staff, everybody smiles. We liked very much and it’s for sure that for our next visit in Bucharest we’ll book our accommodation at Mercure again.

I do not recommend this hotel.

Overall, the hotel isn't horrible, but I would never stay there again. The room didn't feel super clean, but the air conditioner worked well and the bed was semi-comfortable. At check-in one of the three rooms we had reserved was not yet ready and we had to wait a few more hours. They claimed at the desk that check-in was at 3PM (like many hotels we have stayed at) but the email we received from hotels.com said check-in was at 12:30PM. I showed them the email and they thanked me for informing them that the information online was incorrect. Also, the person at the check-in counter told us we could park "anywhere in front of or behind the hotel," but didn't warn us that the parking behind the hotel required payment. The next morning we found out that we had received a parking ticket for 200RON which was a super annoying inconvenience to our family's vacation.

No room service. Standard in 4 star hotels in Central Europe

Live it, it was i and my service dog and we love it! Very nice, safe, clean and great water pressure and hot wather! The staff were very nice and curtanious. I am going to come back!

The cleaning lady was like from another planet. Our check out was at 11.30 and at 9:30 she let herself in our room asking if we want cleaning... also she asked us if we took something from the minibar... at 10:30 she came again asking the same thing. There was a lot of noise, remodeling the building was nowhere in the description. They should not charge 80 $ for such bad condition. The reception was nice.

Under construction

It wasn’t a good stay at this hotel. To start the whole exterior of the building is being renovated and you couldn’t sleep past 8am without banging or drilling outside your window. Second you had to keep your curtains closed or some construction worker might be watching you sleep while they work outside. Third, the rooms weren’t that clean and the shower leaked water all over the floor. The only good thing was that the manager tried his best to please us and apologize about the problems.

One night in Bucharest

Very good hotel, excellent staff, very clean if with the renovation work which was going on, room space is good, breakfast is good, open buffet with different varieties. Free parking provided just in front of the hotel entrance. Room space and furniture was ok. Comfortable bed. Only there was a smell in the room due to the renovation work and recent painting activities, but solved by tinting the window.

Comfortable room, good location, reasonable price

Nice, spacious room with comfortable beds and it was clean. It had a mini bar fridge as well which was useful. Good location for walking around and accessing public transport. Good value for money.

Mercury Excellence

EXCELLENT

The hotel is located 700 meters from Oniri Square. Spacious and clean rooms. The service is courteous and excellent. Good breakfast. And next door is a great restaurant called La Placinta. We really enjoyed the hotel.

Wonderful stuff 10

The shower cabin had a leak. I reported it and staff couldn’t care less. Good location and value for money, but definitely does not live up to the expectations of a four-star hotel.

Good overall. Medium breakfast, on the last day of our stay we had to wait 15 minutes for eggs and bacon. Bed too small. Great location.

The bathroom

Good central location, friendly & helpful staff, my only complaint would be the doors slam shut in the rooms so it gets loud when people are coming & going on the floor your staying on & the carpet in my room could have used a good shampoo, several stains.

Brand new and friendly

I stayed at this hotel as a rescue mission since the mayor of Bucharest left us without hot water for a few days. Needless to say, the hotel has its own heating plant so that was a plus. The hotel is brand new, and it shows in the fixtures and furnishings which are modern, clean and functional. The room was spacious enough and the 8th floor view very nice. Pleasant friendly staff and a very good restaurant completed the picture. I had my special requests (extras) fulfilled in reasonable time. Location is perfect one bus stop from central Unirii square.

Proerrty was good! Would have liked more clear directions

It was reasonably close to the centre of Bucharest if you walk the right direction. It would have been nice if the staff had told us about the Hop on Hop off bus.

I like the whole experience!! But the problem is that they were facing a problem with the AC and it was so hot

The room temperature is too hot because the room location and air conditioning but there is no other room for us. So we have to stay like that. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Clean, modern and basic, but a bit out of town

2 night stay March 19. Minimalist hotel with small bar & snacks, and a breakfast room. Starbucks just outside. About 15 min walk to the palace and 20 walk to old town. Fine for the office bit not one I'd choose if I was there as a tourist. Rooms had coffee & tea facilities, broken air con, small mini bar, and were modern and clean. Noisy at night due to some other guests but apart from that it was fine and guy on reception was helpful getting taxis etc. Cheap, ok, but not if you're there for the sights

Not so good,the room was very noisy , didn't have mirror in the room, carpet was dirty, I book the room for 3 days no linen changed, not very impressed

Amazing place for short gateaway

Great hotel in a good location with walking distance from Unirii, Old City etc. The room was great, new and comfy.

Weekend in Bucharest

The room was spotless, modern styled hotel

The hotel is within a few minutes walk of the Old Town area and Unirii Square. The University and Parliament districts are about 20 minutes walk. The hotel itslf is quite modern with nice friendly staff who were very helpful. They arranged for a car to pick me up from the airport and rang a taxi for me when I needed to return to hotel. During my whole stay they were very helpful.

I accidently booked 2 double rooms and when we arrived on friday 4th may at 5pm the employee at reception who wore multicolored neck collar greeted us and was so friendly amd helped me get both rooms changed to twin beds so i am so so thankful to him

I would stay again at this hotel because it was very well located, clean, large rooms and the staff was very helpful. Consti who works at the front desk provided me with an excelent and safe car service to Constanta as well. Choose here for you stay in Bucharest. Good price for an excelent hotel.

Old and new Bucharest

Located near Piata unirii in downtown Bucharest, walking distance from many attractions.

Very bad experience.

Checked in at 22:30 pm but we changed room for more than 30 minutes: -1st room - bad smell in the room & window can not be open. -they changed our room - but the second one was not cleaned. -they changed our room again - the third one was partially cleaned (toilet paper in the toilet, black hair on lavour and on towels) and minibar not complete, bad smell where you wash your hands, not a place to out the shampoo in the shower area, missing slippers (they bringed only one pair after we called reception), room was not ready for 2 people they have been on our door on aprox 23:30 for the second towel and schampoo. Very expensive prices in the minibar (redbull 25 lei and recomended price written on bottle was 5 lei) Only 1 elevator working (be 10 min early on rush hours) A lot of dissapointments from a Mercure Hotel, a new one (was opened in 2017) As a plus the furniture new and stilish

Mercure Unirii 2 night stay

The hotel is perfectly suitable for a short break. My room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. I have no complaints and thought it very good value for money. The check-in process is very efficient and service fine if nothing special. The location is approximately 10 minutes walk from Unirii Square where the 783 airport bus drops off and picks up for the return journey. The old town tourist area is directly north of the square. I would recommend this hotel.

Plenty of unfinished chores in the rooms. Not up to mercure standards. Staff upon check in completely indefferent. On check out, the lady was the most friendly and hospital. Strange. Much better options in bucharest for similar prices, with more to offer !

I had nearly a week long stay at Mercure with everything exceeding my expectations! The staff always greeting you with a friendly smile and very helpful with pointing you in the right direction on places to visit. The food at the restaurant is some of the top I had eaten while being in Bucharest. I definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a overall amazing experience and convinently located hotel. I will be back!

New hotel in the city centre

New hotels gets you a very good confort feeling.

Would not book this Hotel again.

The hotel is not in good conditions, very shabby, the BED IS EXTREMELY BAD - mattress has seen better days. The shower needs an extreme make over. The room had a powerful humidity smell. The blankets need an immediate change. In general will never book this hotel ever again.

Hotel was fine, personally would get a bit more near strada lipscani for the bars next time and also the showers weren't great, apart from that was perfectly fine. Staff were brilliant and very helpful especially the manager.

Great hotel!

First night we stayed, we froze. The top sheet was a funny size and we weren't warm enough. The next morning we realized there was a duvet in the closet. Next time we stayed there at the end of our tour, the room was very hot. Couldn't get the room cool.

Good hotel but needs some upgrade

The front desk and restaurant staff were amazing. The room was excellent and clean and nicely decorated. The availability of many free parking spaces was also positive. I didn't like it and this hotel, downgraded to at least 3 stars, really misses the 4 star rating from the data below, at least for me. The lobby is non-existent... there are only 6 to 8 seats to sit on poor quality furniture. It is the same with the restaurant which also has poor quality and poor menu. It does not have a gym. The breakfast room is reminiscent of a university breakfast room, so plain and poorly designed. The corridors of each floor around the elevator are reminiscent of popular apartment buildings. The bottom line is that I only liked the room and not the common areas. I didn't feel like I was in a 4 star hotel but in an apartment building.

Fantastiskt prisvärt och har allt för att känna dig hemma. Inte konstigt att jag återkommer på samma hotell, trots att har bot på alla andra hotell i gamla stan.

Ideal um Bukarest zu erkunden. Frühstück konnten wir beim Check in günstiger dazubuchen. Das Frühstück hat uns geschmeckt.

Deludente esperienza

Ho prenotato al mercure pensando di ricevere condizioni migliori. Selezione coppia con bambino di 11 anni e ricevo una stanza con un letto matrimoniale da 160. Vista l'ora nn mi adava di tornare alla reception. Mi domando se cosi funziona se riservi attraverso hotels.com oppure alla reception di un 4 stelle hanno messo un incompetente. Delusione maggiore la colazione. Nn prenotetela. A pochi metri c'è uno starbucks.

Rent og fint hotellrom med en behagelig lenestol man kunne slappe av i etter å gått rundt hele dagen.Lett å komme dit fra flyplassen (buss 783 fra flyplassen til Piata Uniril 1, derfra tar man buss 104 eller 123 to stopp - hotellet ligger 100 meter opp i veien på andre siden av busstoppet) - ellers tar det ca 10 min å gå fra siste bussstopp). Hyggelig folk i resepsjonen. Gangavstand fra både gamlebyen og Presidentpallasset. Ikke særlig å gjøre rundt hotellet, men da var det også mindre støy (men hører bilene fra avenyen som går til presidentpalasset - ikke plagsomt). Vil absolutt bo her igjen da det var enkelt å komme seg rundt i byen herfra

Our stay was nice, but the room ac was very loud. Each time it went on, it woke me up during the night.

Hotel was clean and the room was good. İt was good for its price and15-20 dk to city centre by walk. But we didn't like the hotel's neighbourhood. we couldn't feel safe because of the people in surrounding area. Oda gayet temiz ve düzgündü herhangi bir sorun yaşamadık otelle ancak çift olarak gittiğimiz halde etraftan çok tedirgin olduk. aslında merkeze yürüme mesafesinde olmasına rağmen havanın karardığı oldukça erken saatlerde bile taksi yada uber kullanmadan gelip gidemedik çünkü etraftaki evsiz ve sarhoş insanlar oldukça tedirgin ediciydi otelin içine yada taksiye kadar bize eşlik edenler oldu bu durum bizi biraz gerdi.

Accor hotels are never a mistake !

A very good hotel with all the comforts, not exactly downtown, but not so far either. Very kind staff. The breakfast could be a bit more varied but maybe is it because the hotel is not back full yet

Hôtel moderne trop récent, les parements sur les façades ne sont pas terminés, et les travaux commencent à 9h du matin. Les murs des chambres n'isolent pas assez, surtout du local technique. Sinon, l'hôtel et assez proche du centre-ville où l'on peut aller à pied

Ottima base per la visita del centro città

Situazione in posizione leggermente defilata rispetto al centro storico, in posizione tranquilla, l'hotel dista 10 minuti a piedi dalla fermata della metropolitana di Piata Unirii. Lo standard rispetta pienamente quello della catena in Europa, ma in questo caso va sottolineato l'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, visti i prezzi medi in capitale per gli hotes con standard europei. Servizio cortese da parte del personale di reception.
