The staff were really friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and rooms were spacious. No cons.
Solo traveler
Great location, clean room with a nice bathroom with excellent shower. Comfortable bed. The neighborhood is very quiet at night and there meny Coffee shops and places to eat. Overall, very pleased with this hotel
This hotel was perfectly positioned to be able to walk and explore Bucharest.
Clean modern hotel
Perfect
Great staff. Popescu and everyone very helpful
Nice hotel and in easy reach of the main surrounding streets. Rooms were comfortable and staff were really friendly. Happy to stay here again.
The property is located in a great area. The rooms are ok. But there was no bottles of water in the room. Now every hotel offers a bottle of water. That’s a minus to me.
Great location, convenient to a lot of places to visit and see in the area. Staff always went the extra mile to be helpful. They were very kind and friendly.
Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Bucharest. Excellent breakfast choices.
Fantastic location, wonderful staff who went above and beyond. Breakfast was well worth the value.
Beautiful hotel, with lovely staff. Check in and out was so easy and staff were so polite and Accommodating. Couple little issues which was corrected straight away. Really lovely stay at this hotel. Highly recommend. And so easy to get Ubers from as well. ☺️ Thank you
Standard you'd expect @ Mercure with excellent and attentive staff. Roberto & Popescu been singled out, however extended to the whole Team @ Mercure
Ok hotel, expensive for what you get.
1 night stay. Business trip. Completed online check in, still waited around to check in?! Guy on reception said everything in the minibar is free. Checked out the next morning and they charged me for items in the minibar. Guy on reception was rather rude. Not what you need at 0600.
Nice stay for 1 or 2 days
Very nice hotel, everything was good except the cleaning during the stay itself. The bathroom/tolets was never clean doring my stay... nor did they changed the sheets. I've stayed for 4 nights.. that is unacceptable. For less time I'd argue sheets can only be arranged but toilets must be clean each day.
The hotel is indeed nice and conveniently located. However, I found the staff to be somewhat unhelpful.
for those who book on the expedition, you will see that at the reception they will ask for money for the city tax, but you have already paid it. check please, I do not recommend they have mice, insects, the carpet is very dirty, everything is old
A sweet Boutique Hotel near the city center
This hotel is a lovely, boutique style hotel – with a nice “old world look” but with the comfort of today’s standards. The staff was super friendly, and the English was great! It was also very close to the heart of the city. And easy walk to good restaurants and shops.
Great stay
Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and room. Ideal location
Lovely and friendly staff members. The room was very large and clean. Only issue was the heating was constantly on and the room was very warm despite having the window open for our whole trip. The reception staff had no fans and could offer no ther solution. Hotel is in a good position to explore.
Great staff and comfortable room
Good Location
Staff on reception were helpful and friendly, Very clean, Good location. However Air conditioning did not work correctly, woke up in middle of night to 32 degrees. Fridge did not work.
Hotel organised a night party in the lobby bar with club-loud music on one of the evenings. The place is not designed to sound proof that and you could hear the music and feel the bass in the 3rd floor rooms. Reception knew it’s a problem and they stopped answering phone calls from the rooms about 12am. I went downstairs to ask them if they have any plans to lower the music as it was 1am and they said no plans. It was so bad that a room from 4th floor called the police. They stopped only after police arrived regardless that everyone in the hotel was complaining about it.
Great location. Nice breakfast. Room was clean. The gym was terrible. 3 of 4 machines were out of order, and there were no towels available in the gym. They also didn't make an update to the booking and made an incorrect charge on my credit card.
Great hotel A nice breakfast, nice rooms, neat Hotel
Great hotel A near near Piata Unirii lively the only place we like. Near train station. Great breakfast, neat hotel.
Perfect place to enjoy the day or night life. High class area.
The location is perfect in the middle of every thing in city center
Hotel was okay, carpets a bit worn and grubby and area not the best but fit for purpose
Wonderful!
The front desk staff were unfriendly and not very helpful. The room was extremely small and cramped. There was no refrigerator in the room amd air conditioning did not work
Stayed here twice on our recent trip to Romania. Nothing fancy but a good clean hotel with decent amenities which is all we needed.
group vacation in Bucharest
was really nice there for us
Excellent stay, very clean and staff attentive.
Great
The hotel is near by every where you want. The service was great, the breakfast was tasty, the crow was wanderfal.
Very modern, great rooms, comfortable and a great location. I would recommend this property 100 per cent. Looking forward to coming back.
Excellent service very nice view
Great location. Small rooms even at Privilege level with extremely small and awkwardly designed bathrooms
Nice place overall. It would help if it were clearer that when booking other than via the hotel website one cannot take advantage of free parking on site when staying for a minimum of two nights.
Pros: It was a clean updated room. The hotel was in the middle of city center with walking close to the area. Cons: The parking garage below the hotel, they state if you are a member it is free. We are members but they would not grant the free parking because we did not book through their website. Second we asked for some more coffee packets for our room, they said only 2 per day and we could buy cups of coffee from the bar downstairs... really? Too much to offer us a few more 5 cent coffee packets? The hot water in the bathroom is sporadic, it goes hot then warm continually while showering.
Very nice hotel and room . The heating system was very noisy so I had to keep it off but a part from that it was all perfect. The rooms are clean and welcoming
Everything was great! No complains!
Not a bad place but less than great experience. My fault as I left a package of new clothing in the room when I checked out, when I went back two days later to inquire housekeeping of course knew nothing. So less than honest staff. Rooms are very small . Great location.
Great location and comfortable
I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a short walk to the old town. Breakfast wasn't great but it is nice to have the option.
Good service by all staff members. The rooms are very quiet, especially the ones situated further away from the street.
excellent location, very clean
Great price to value ratio, very clean room, helpful and cheerful staff, perfect location
Good location, tasty breakfast, clean rooms. Need to pay extra for parking
Absolutely loved how clean and how friendly everyone was at the hotel. The terrace was wonderful also
Despite the government’s decision on closing down many businesses We had a great time The hotel staff was very helpful, friendly Hotel was comfortable ,clean and overall in good condition well located 20 minutes walk to old town Would definitely recommend it and stay here again
Bad marketing, bad management.
Concerned to not say frustrated because a property like Mercure from the Accor group isn’t able to give a bottle of water to a guest. But it is able to offer free envelopes of coffee and tea without water to prepare, funny isn’t? Terrible marketing if they are trying to make guests to pay 3 or 4 euros for water from the minibar. Internet also not working properly at least on room 215; misinformation on city taxes during the check in (I wasn’t informed about it, just on my check out). I did stay for three nights at Radisson Blu Bucharest last week and this city tax was inexistent there (just two blocks from Mercure). And still had a wrong information on the cost of the transfer from the hotel to the airport. I must say they were almost all trainees during my checking in but a senior member was there. Later when I tried to talk to the manager nobody was “available”. Overall, a bad stay and won’t return to this hotel when back to Bucharest in few months. Bad management at least.
good hotel
The location of the hotel we had, we came back the second time, a good breakfast (no wow)
Good value for money , room was a good size on the 6th floor with a balcony. It was clean and modern with everything we needed. Breakfast was good.
Came again, you can’t find a more convenient location and value for what you pay
Everything It was so beautiful. And comfortable staying I'll come back for sure
Good conference hotel.
Ideal location, excellent breakfast, excellent staff in restaurant / bar. Unfortunate that the type of room we booked- 2 singles- was not available
Comfortable stay
Room is spacious and clean. Bedroom slippers provided. Would be good if they provide shower cap. Also, there's no socket outlets near the beds. Breakfast is the same everyday and lack of variety. Dinner menu is limited. Good location, easily walked out to piata romania metro station or the city tour bus stop. Currency exchange just close by.
I dealt with Irina at the front desk quite a bit and she was awesome! Very polite, excellent English and great sense of humor. I believe her supervisor is Alexandrai, and she was great, too. Only knock I have on the Mercure is there was a party there every night and that kept my group from being to congregate at the hotel at the end of the day. Otherwise, all good.
Good overall. Nice hotel and plesent staff. Bedrooms of a good size. Good location. Just breakfast a bit below standard . Small selection and no yogurts and limited cereals. Ok if you just wanted bread and cooked breakfast. Coffee machine very slow
Perfectly aqequate, just the little things let it down. Nothing that wouldn't make me never want to stay there again, but if I had the choice I'd pay a bit more and go to one of the better chains nearby.
Convenient location in city. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was very friendly. Hope to stay here again in the future.
Great location, very nice rooms, and all the equipment in the room worked well.
Location was good and bed comfortable. The room was too hot though, couldn’t get it cool enough to sleep comfortably and no iron in room.
The hotel was located perfectly in the centre of the city. Check in and checking out was very smooth due to the excellent staff working there. The staff always had a smile and made us feel very welcomed. The hotel was very clean and had all modern facilities. A++
It was one of best hotel's i have been to for a long time
central apt.
perfect hotel. central,spacious,comfortable,great staff
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, the staff were very helpful, breakfast was very good with many options and the rooms were clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Very good hotel
Very good hotel, clean, quiet, comfortable and customer-friendly. Like it should be in a hotel. Situated close to the center but not in crowded area. Convenient transportation (bus 783 from the airport stops 5 minutes by walk from the hotel). Some shops and restaurants are close to the hotel. Highly recommended.
Very good stay with value for money
Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and room was very clean + nice. Highly recommended. Breakfast was OK and staff in the morning very friendly but I believe there are nicer breakfast spots nearby with possibly better coffee (machines do not always excel in taste :)
Great hotel
Great central location, amazing comfortable rooms.
Very nice hotel and room. Staff was nice and helpful. Also, location is perfect, close to everything but not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas.
just ok
ok
Very clean, nice staff very friendly, great location
Nice staff location is not that good. Breakfast was less than expected
there was an ac problem in the hotel the room was very hot when I say that to the reception they told me to open the window
The hotel is in great location close to Old town, theaters and great pubs and restaurants. The only thing is that is getting a little outdated.
Nice hotel, would stay again
Nice hotel, good value, would stay again
Very nice place. Clean. New. Nice staff. Courteous.
מקום נקי מרכזי ביותר ליד קזינו למי שאוהב שירות מעולה!!!
I like the food. The room was clean and ok. The stuff is not so nice. They need to smile more.
Good hotel but the breakfast was very mediocre. Poor choice and invariably hot food was cold. Rooms were first class. Well equipped, clean and very comfortable.
Poor service
My friends and I each individually booked double rooms to stay in as we arrived at 4am and wanted a reliable and luxurious place to stay. When we arrived 2 of my friends checked in separately ahead of me and when it was my turn I was told “sorry but that was the last room”. We had booked and paid in full at least a month in advance and now I was being told that due to a “glitch in the system” I would have to share a room with another guest (!?!?) or I could go to another hotel. It was 4am and neither of those options made me feel safe. The staff member was non apologetic and rude, saying those were my options. I ended up staying in my friends room and we said we would be back in the morning to sort things out. The next morning we were told by 2 different staff that there was no system glitch BUT then they said that they had no record of any of us booking rooms for the second night and they were fully booked. My friends and I were leaving for a tour and were incredibly stressed by the level of incompetence. We each had to call the hotel during our tour to ensure we had a room for that night. They ended up upgrading us that night to make amends and offered a partial refund that has not appeared yet. Overall the service was severely lacking and they seemed to have no idea how to deal with customers. A very stressful stay
Loved the design of the hotel- comfortablly modern and streamlined. The location of the hotel is great — lovely tree lined residential dotted with nice cafe and restaurants around. 2 nice supermarkets are within 5-minute walking distance. The best Romanian Souvenir shop My Romanian Store is also a 5-minut away. Because I was robbed in the Bucharest OldTown. The hotel actually send up a lovely sandwich and water to help me spend a very difficult 1st night — I am forever grateful. I will definitely come back to stay in the Mercure Bucharest City Center again
Very nice hotel in good location
It was very nice, clean just what you expect, typical Mercury. Had a good stay for a week.Excellent location.
I could not sleep at night because of the beds. The cover was very small and the air conditioner was either to much or to hot. Could not adjust to the right temperature. The sheets at night were very small and only one. The bed was very small for a room with 2 beds.
perferct location, fast and efficient service, friendly and helpful staff
Good hotel!
A good hotel. Nice clean, spacious room. A walkable area with good transport (metro, buses). Helpful staff who booked a trip around the Parliament for me.
Good location
First few nights the bar was shut after sightseeing all day would have been nice to have a drink before bed
Clean but noisy hotel with rude staff
We booked 3 rooms. 2 out of the 3 rooms had bathtubs and both were clogged after the first use. All 3 rooms were located above the party room, which is also the breakfast room, so it was loud/annoying/irritating most of the evening and my husband could not sleep. We had to call reception 3 times and they promised to tell the DJ to lower the music, but nothing changed. Also we could hear a door slamming all night. The staff was rude and condescending…3 times they followed and asked us for our room numbers in the breakfast area as if we were stealing food from the breakfast area. The female receptionist kept rolling her eyes everything I asked her a question. I would not recommend staying at this place if you want a good night's sleep. Breakfast was good with lots of options and the rooms are clean but still I would not recommend this hotel.
Terrible Experience
Will never stay here again, appalling service, air conditioning broken, asked for ironing board, it never came, key card had to be replaced five times in three days due to faults, phone in room did not work so had to go down six floors anytime I needed to speak to the staff, view from my room was of two building sites...need I go on, by a mile the worst experience I have had of a hotel stay for many years,
I FEEL like u foolished ME I made a resarvtion with breakfest payed extra money and the no breakfest on the resarvtion. And y e shower the water was really low
Relaxing oasis
From the moment we walked in until we left everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, clean, and new. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the location is just perfect in the middle of Piata Amzei and Athénée with so many lovely cafes and restaurants a stones throw away. You are in the heart of the city but off the main streets so it is quiet. I booked a room for my father to stay here after we left and would stay here a million times again. Job well done Hotel a Mercure City Center Bucharest.
great hotel in a great niborhood
very good and comfortable hotel. we had a great time
Great hotel , great location
We stayed for three nights at the privilege room. a very nice and comfortable hotel , the rooms are pretty big and new.
Stayed for 7 days. It I was pleasant with no issues
Modern no-nonsense hotel in city center
Efficient reception staff, OK breakfast, excellent city center location, modern room, good WiFi.
Typical accommodation, not something special
Overall was just a typical stay, couldn’t say that it was something special. Staff was helpful. Hotel is located close to some walking distance bars & restaurant and to some currency exchange spots.
Good hotel
