Our second time and equally satisfied. These condos offer suites with equipped kitchens and a small safe. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed every three days. Walmart is a 3-minute walk away, making it super convenient. ADO buses are right next door to travel anywhere, including the airport. The rooftop is has a pool, chairs, hamacs and a barbecue. Right in PDC, close to lots of restaurants (El Fogon, La Cueva del Pez) and the famous Quinta Avenida. Located 600 m from the beach, in 8 minutes your feet are in the warm sand! At the beach, the Pelicano Inn rents lawn chairs and the food is excellent; if you prefer to simply lay in the sand, walk just a little further to Playa Fundadores. A great experience!

The hotel itself was good, however there were a number of fixtures fittings in the room that needed repair along with no hot water. I stay for five days and none of the staff followed up on my request for repair. Staff had no interest or concern. The hotel itself is quite nice and modern its just the above items that let the hotel down. Good location great rooftop pool!

Great time

Beautiful property tucked away on a quiet area but near all the action on Quinta Avenida. A few minutes walk to the Caribbean Sea. Wonderful staff! Great Security! All the modern amenities. I love it.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel and the cleanliness. Perfect distance to the beach, 5th avenue and bus station for day trips.

This place was very clean, quiet & comfortable. The bed was nice. The location was walkable to 5th Avenue. The only complaint was they do not provide wash clothes so I had to use my hand towel as a wash cloth and then I had to use my bath towel as a hand towel.

Clean and spacious rooms. Beautiful rooftop with pool and small gym. Easy access to supermarket and plenty of restaurants.

Great rooms in a good location

The room was beautiful and spacious with a nice bathroom and even a balcony. Short walk from the main road and the beach. Added plus was that was just around the corner from the bus station so easy to travel to/from the airport or other places in Yucatan.

Nice and quiet place. No issues

Kitchen was well equipped. Location was great, near Walmart, near lots of dining options, close to beaches. Far enough from 5th Ave to be quiet, but close enough to walk to all the action. Staff was helpful. I have absolutely no complaints.

The property was perfect for my stay. It’s well located and well kept.

The unit was nicely set up with good quality utensils and cookware for a simple breakfast or quick meal. Housekeeping is available on a daily basis if needed. The pool and relaxation area on the rooftop was set up nicely and hammocks and sunbeds were nicely maintained.

Perfectly located, easy walking distance to the bus station, shops and walmart. Had everything we needed including a washing machine, toaster and coffee machine. Nice rooftop pool. Generally quiet.

This was good place and I would stay again. Very easy to get to 5th and easy to check in. A safe location. The only thing is that laundry is listed as an amenity but they don’t have any laundry on site. Thankfully there is a place around the corner, Lavandería 24 horas, the address is; Calle 8 norte Mza 051 Num, Manzana y 35 Lote 001, entre avenida 30, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico She had our laundry done the next morning for a good price and helped us out because we were planning to do laundry here. It was nice to have a kitchenette and a fridge to keep drinks cold. But there looked like to be some mold on the bathroom walls but it is super humid there, I wasn’t that concerned. It was pretty clean!

Large suites - comfortable beds - a real bargain for the money

I only stayed in PDC for 2 nights, but I would've enjoyed staying at Meliora longer. My studio had what I needed for cooking, which cuts down on spending at restaurants. I mainly used the balcony to spray on insect repellant or to dry things. My room was very clean, the bed comfy enough. Walmart is right across the block, Soriana is a couple of blocks further. The rooftop pool was nice, though the jacuzzi didn't seem to be working. The hallways and elevator are quite narrow and not air conditioned, so it can get hot fast if you're already hot from outside. The lobby though has a/c, but to reach the elevator/stairs you go back outside. Overall, a good experience.

I love this place! This is my 5th time staying here. Its affordable and close to everything. The rooms are super nice with mini kitchenette. Big screen smart tv and parking! The staff is super friendly! Jennifer at the front desk was really sweet and helpful. Will definitely be going back!

Quiet & Excellent Price

Jennifer was awesome. I kept extending mostly because she made me feel at home and they provided me with a quiet room. Those can be difficult to find in Playa Del Carmen. Can’t beat the location either. Hotel is close to everything and safe⭐️⭐️⭐️

This property was amazing. I wasn’t expecting much after trips to other countries when booking hotels “off strip” but this place is amazing. Good and clean. Walking distance to 5th ave. ADO bus station is right next door. Plenty of food/stores within reach. The staff is very polite and speaks Spanish and English. A/c worked great. Pool area is nice. Only bad thing was the roof above me leaked a little. Literally a few drops. Nothing crazy. I’m assuming it was from the AC

Very new and modern property. Spacious. Quiet. About 10 minutes walk to the beach. 14 minutes walk to ADO tourist station. We booked a room with 1 King bed and 2 queen beds but because of the hurricane this room is not available and we were allocated 2 rooms with one King bed and the balcony is closed for repair, which is not very ideal. Other than that, the condition of the hotel is excellent.

Price was good, it was with walking distance from beach and 5th Ave. The staff is very friendly. The room had a smell of moisture, there was a coffee machine but no coffee. There was also a kitchenette but no soap to wash dishes. The outside area looked a bit sketchy.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. There are a lot of deli’s walking distance so you can buy water or any snacks nearby. Those delis also have atms in case you run out of money. We had excursions on 3 days of our stay so we really weren’t in the hotel on those days but the other days we would go walking on 5th ave or go out to eat. Everything was clean and there was ac if we were hot. Obviously nothing compared to an all inclusive resort but if you are busy doing excursions all day and want to taste the food in the neighborhood then I definitely recommend to stay at a hotel instead of a resort.

Everything was nice

This is not a hotel and other than a roof top pool there are no amenities. It is modern, clean and far enough from 5th ave to avoid some of the noise. Because the building is all concrete and tile it is an echo chamber. Of concern was after complaining about one of the units having wild parties all night nothing was done. We realized that there is no security in the building and there is one person at the desk at a time so they are not in a position to confront a group of drunks.

Clean room. Very good wifi. AC is good. Lots of lights of all kind. The room is equipped with a kitchen. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bus to Cancun airport is one black away.

Amazing stay

Excellent hotel in excellent location. The lobby personnel is very nice, the hotel and the room is very clean with everything you would need. There’s a garage underneath the hotel with elevator access. All equipment seems new and good quality in the room. The hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the 5th ave. The walmart is next door. Similarly the town hall is around the corner with lots of activities at night. I wouldn’t want to stay in a different place in my future visits to Playa. In fact I liked it so much that I extended my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Great staff but we were withou electricity and water form2 days

It’s a great property with more than adequate space but it could be improved by adding a hand wand in the shower and more hooks for hanging towels. Also, a slow cooker rather a microwave would be more helpful in the kitchen. Our last two days were interrupted by power, internet and water outage…just AWEFUL. Toilets could not be flushed and we could not shower for our trip home. I would stay again if a refund was offered and improvements were evident in future reviews. Customers who experience these awful conditions should be offered a free night or two should they return in the future.

Good location for me. Next to Walmart, Bus Station, OXXO, and near El Fogon. Quiet! Sometimes they have concerts in front of the police station a couple blocks away, but not when I was there.

The hotel is well located, which is its strong point. The swimming pool is large but most of the deckchairs are broken and there is no beach umbrella. The first day the door lock was broken, our room remained open for 24 hours, anyone could enter, it was really disturbing. There was dust under the bed and above the wardrobe.

This hotel was ok but has plenty opportunity for improvement it’s clean yes the bed was a bit hard and a/c was cool but it didn’t blow snow however the atrium area is set up beautifully if you’re into scenery and pictures there’s plenty for that ado bus terminal is a block over coco bongo is literally right on same street and near 5th Avenue

We stayed for a month during COVID. Now we come back 3 or 4 times a year. This no fuss apartment style hotel rooms with a kitchen make life simple whilst here. With so many places within walking distance this is a fantastic location. Already booked our next trip back!

No hot water even after mentioning it to front desk

The hotel is in a lovely spot in town, walking distance to everything. The hotel was kept clean and the roof top pool was great. The only issue was our first room had very limited water pressure in the shower and the water was rarely warm. Other guests seemed to have the same issue. The water pipe did also burst in our room at 2:30am and due to the amount of water we were moved to another room. The reception staff was excellent with handling the situation in a timely matter and made sure we were taken care of. I would stay at this hotel again but I would spend the extra money to have a better room. The lower budget room was definitely well used but the upgraded suite was more clean and had water pressure and hot water in the shower. You definitely get what you paid for.

Ok but could be better

Nice quiet hotel, yet only a few minutes from the bars and restaurants. Decent sized room but basic, reasonable value. The roof area was nice but limited sun beds and only 1 not broken. Very little shade.The pool bar is not in use, could have had a fridge and honesty bar with camera instead of having to take your own?

Small boutique hotel with all the basics in the perfect location. The hot tub wasn't working when we visited, but the property was clean and comfortable. The area is very walkable, and there are tons of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. (There are plenty of non-Mexican cuisine options as well). We felt safe. The area has a good mix of residential and commercial properties as well as a local and tourist population. Highly recommend and will be back.

Very clean and modern boutique hotel one block from ADO bus station, one block from the restaurants, quiet, good AC. There is a small kitchenette in the room. A great deal for the low price!

Very friendly staff. In general, great value. Walkable to everywhere. Good restaurants close by. Parking lot is a little small for standard SUV but outside parking is available if you’re willing to pay 10 pesos per hour. It has some mosquitos but I guess it’s expected in this area.

We had roaches and parking garage is very hard to get in to.

It was a great experience staying here. It is in the middle of the downtown but has parking. Staffs were very friendly and welcoming. It was clean and well maintained. Loved the huge windows and patio.

Only issue was hot tub not heated, but otherwise had a perfect stay over the five nights we were here. Everything you need is within walking distance. ADO bus stations, restaurants, grocery stores and most importantly the BEACH! Staff was friendly and helpful, and room was cleaned everyday. Highly recommend.

Our overall experience was very good. The rooms are spacious and nicely equipped. The kitchenette was much larger than we expected and we made very good use of it. The rooftop terrace exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the size and style of the safe. A 5 to housekeeping!

I stayed one night and staffs were really friendly. The room is spacious with everything you need. There are some minor things that should considered. a bit low water pressure and low water temperature at shower.

Pros- clean, helpful staff, well equipped ,location a short distance away from the crowded areas, near Walmart. Cafe and corner store near by. Cons- no internet for 11/2 day , on 3rd floor water pressure was weak, no restaurant or dispensing machine on site. It’s more like a 3 stars Airbnb( with individual owners)

Clean, great to walk everywhere, and roof top pool (since beach is really small). Only issues were that the bed was very firm and water pressure in the shower was low.

Front desk personel unhelpful and uncaring from the start. Just extremely poor attitude. Houskeeping did nothing. no fresh towels a tiny piece of used soap. No coffee. I was happy to leave. The Hell brothers couldn't drag me back.

Great Value!

Overall great value! Location is great, a few blocks away from the main Quinta Avenida. Lots of markets, food, coffee shops around. Very safe and walkable area. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Very reasonably priced, would recommend!

The hotel is great. A short 4 minute walk to 5th Avenue or the beach. Walmart and the Ado bus station are a couple of blocks away. I found the bast thing about this hotel was the great staff members at the front desk. To Daniel, Dania, Bianca and Armando, thank you again for all the great service and useful information.

The hotel was extremely loud with someone coughing down the hallway and a dog barking non-stop for more than 24 hours. I also found a gecko on the side of my bed under the sheet. I notified the front desk (male working) and specifically asked if he could bring a container with him to catch it. Instead of doing that he decided to try to grab it with his bare hands. The gecko escaped underneath the bed. He said “they’re harmless and nothing I can do”. I told him he shouldn’t have let it run under the bed. I said we now need to move the bed unless he “wants to give me another room for the night” and he simply said “we’re all full tonight”. I pulled the massive, heavy king size bed out from the wall and he didn’t even offer to help. Instead he said he had to get back to the desk even though it had been less than 2 minutes (and he could have called another staff person to help instead). Sure enough, the gecko was found under the bed as soon as I pulled the bed out from the wall. I got a small plate and glass cup to try to catch it (again he should have brought a container or even water bottle with him, as originally suggested) and instead I accidentally killed it. Further, the room was very messy and in bad shape - damaged furniture, the toilet paper holder didn’t even sit straight so I couldn’t use it, the water was freezing at all hours the light switch was broken, the fridge wouldn’t stay closed, the towels had huge holes in them, and sheets had tears and holes and stains

Very nice hotel, clean and cheap walkable distance to 5th Avenue, its really equipped with appliances and dinnerware.

The room had dust and sand on the floor, and the shower water wasn't flowing properly. Additionally, there was no water from 11 AM, despite the 12 PM check-out time. The inadequate soundproofing made it a bit noisy. However, the front desk staff were remarkably friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed the hotel. The location is great. Easy walk to playa and attractions. The only thing we didn't like is there is no hot water. The water isn't totally cold but it's luke warm at best. Also there us no cable television for local information. Just a smart tv with zero free channels. Jacuzzi tub on roof and pool. Jacuzzi doesn't work,no hot water and no jets. Pool needs cleaning. But the room was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay

This is a wonderful hidden gem. The hotel is clean, modern and close to everything downtown. The only con is the property is hard to find since there is no signage out front. It took us 35 minutes to find the entrance and maps took us to the back of the property.

El hotel en general está bien pero hay algunos detalles que tienen que mejorar, en el shower sale muy poquita agua y no siempre sale agua caliente, las toallas están extremadamente viejas, no ofrecen ni una botellita de agua en el cuarto, no ponen acondicionador para el cabello y el jacuzzi en el rooftop no sirve.

The meliora is in a great location, clean, safe and the staff are the best. Meliora is and has been my favorite place to stay when I travel to Playa del Carmen (4 times a year) and I highly recommend it!
