Average hotel
Service excellent. Happy to help with anything eg jettles and cups in yge room, luggage, directions etc
Loved the sauna and the gym facilties, breakfast was good too
This hotel was very well managed, and staff (Especially Maria) went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable, and there were many breakfast options. The rooftop terrace has a nice pool and bar, and offers a nice view of the Acropolis.
Great staff
It was a great location. The only issue was trying to turn down the heat.
Nice very clean and customer service excellent! Highly recommend
Front desk stars
Hotel is a bit dated, the area a little rough around the edges but redeemed by the reception team who were very good
Location and rooftop restaurant
Breakfast is way too crowded and frankly, not up to snuff for a Melia hotel.
Perfect
Very clean and convenient
Bed was very comfortable but bathroom not very clean. Very noisy at night due to traffic Good location to see Athens
Everything was perfect
Everything was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely room, very comfortable bed and the leisure facilities were amazing. Great meal too in the roof top restaurant
Had a great upgrade. Breakfast buffet was excellent, great options
Clean and modern throughout with a good variety of amenities, helpful staff. Great rooftop area overlooking the city. Convenient location and walkable to the city centre. The VIP offers could've been slightly better - we were offered a free drink voucher, but it was just for soft drinks, so a bit limited.
Pool was awesome with incredible views.
Melia hotel tiene buen servicio y facilidades esta ubicado muy cerca del museo de arqueologia y a 20 minutos a pie del centro de Atenas lo unico que no es muy seguro caminar por la noche en el area.
The hotel looks pretty when you walk in, I wouldn't expect less for a 4 star hotel, however location is not the greatest. What disappointed me the most was the lack of attention to detail. The room we were given was not properly cleaned. Carpets had lots of stains, and the shower had black mold in several areas. That is totally unacceptable for me. Would not recommend this hotel.
The front desk team at Melia were very helpful and kind. And the pool was perfect for a hot day.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff especially on reception. Great location and great facilities. Highly recommended
Very good
5 Stars
Incredible atmosphere, wonderful staff, glorious amenities! 10/10 will be back
On a Sunday there was very little open near this hotel as far as shops. It was ideal for walking to the National Archaeological Museum. The area surrounding the hotel is covered with graffiti and buildings that appeared to be empty.
Great stay
Very courteous and I also received a room upgrade to a suite
The rooftop pool is too small for the amount of guests and it closes at 6 pm to provide space for the restaurant.
Amazing hotel! 5 !
it was a great location and wasn’t too expensive. The facilities were great, clean and very secure. I would highly recommend it.
Nice hotel 15 min walk from main areas!
The hotel was great! It's about 12-15 min walk from the main area and not in the most ideal location, but the pool and amenities make up for it! Especially when you are in Athens during the summer heat. The hotel is nice - we found some mold in the shower but it is what it is. Customer Service was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it
Excellent Staff in front counter and Cafe. Well done and attentive. The area though - is sketchy.
We loved it! Excellent service at reception. Easy check in. Great breakfast and beautiful roof top pool.
Nice hotel, easy access to shopping and Acropolis
Nice property and pool. Easy walk to Acropolis. Room and hallways very clean, staff very friendly
Fantastic location and view from the rooftop pool
Meliá is a great hotel; we will definitely seek out the brand should we find ourselves traveling and in need of a hotel.
Excellent
Usual excellent Meliá service and quality. Great location, 5 minutes walk to metro.
Good hotel just the area is not very nice. Even the best area is near walking distance
Melia Athens Family Stay
Amazing, kind people & caring. They took care of all our needs. We really enjoyed the view!
Great city break hotel
The hotel was really clean, well located for where we wanted to visit and the staff were so helpful.
Comfortable if compact.
Rooms were comfortable but compact. Unfortunately Melia loyalty programme was not recognised (platinum) and room upgrade not provided.
Not best location.
Great rooftop pool & bar. Staff and service was great as well.
They have very good service, starting from the front desk to the house keeping.
Great view
Excellent roof top bar and restaurant with a great view. Nice hotel, good location, service and breakfast
I loved this hotel! I loved having a hotel with a rooftop pool to enjoy jumping into after a long day walking around the sights in Athens in the hot, hot sun!
Very helpful friendly staff. Nice rooms. Very clean. Good breakfast buffet. Shame pool is only available from 10:30 to 6:30; closed at the exact times that one would like to swim.
Great location! Fabulous staff!! Loved the pool!! Food and drinks were delicious!
The staff was extremely helpful and responsive.
My partner and I booked a 10 night stay here, for our first time in Greece. We ended up taking a cab and renting a car. It was approx 30 min from the airport using the toll roads. Free street parking was available right out front, but we opted to use the car park right around the corner (visible from the entrance) for €15/day. Our room was comfortably air conditioned, they allowed us to empty the mini-bar so it could be used for our personal items, and the bed was comfortable. Cleaning was a little rough, and our bottle of conditioner remained empty the whole time even after asking multiple times to have it refilled. The view of the acropolis from the rooftop was nice, and they had a pretty standard drink menu. As others mentioned, it is a three minute walk away from the metro which we found super easy to use. The neighborhood does look a little rough, but I personally never felt unsafe. There are limited dining/shopping available without needing to take the metro, but prices and food were both good for nights we didn’t want to head up to Plaka.
Front desk staff were very helpful and breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend hotel
The room was good but no appliance for tea/coffee. The bath tub was stained so not nice! The area is ok too but not too central . I would go back as the price was reasonable compared to the next door hotel .
I
It is a comfortable hotel with good rooms but no in room appliances for tea/coffee . There is a bath tub but it was stained and bathroom could do with an upgrade ! The location is good. It is a no frills type of hotel
Clean hotel, close to restaurants, quite a busy place, more business travel oriented. Staff was nice. For all the high prices, they didnt include breakfast but outside options are aplenty. Was busy with a tour from switzerland when we visited.
Nice rooms, friendly service, good breakfast. Area a bit rough but not unsafe
Amazing place to stay
Large modern hotel. Large clean rooms, jacuzzi baths. No in-room tea/coffee making facilites. Excellent breakfast buffet. Great roof terrace with pool and bar - though hours only 10.30- 18.30 - and acropolis view. Major tourist attractions walkable in about half an hour.
Very clean and well run hotel.
Great room and amazing jacuzzi shower. Very nice pool area and very friendly and attentive staff. The area is not very nice around but it’s only a 15 mins to the touristy area so it’s no big issue.
Everything inside the hotel was excellent.
Very good hotel
Nice hotel, old designing but well care. Great staff, very good breakfast with horrible coffee in the dining room. Great rest the lobby.
Three nights in Athens. Hotel was well located but the street noise was quite loud - busy street. The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Convenient for metro
I was flying out very early so thay arranged a breakfast box. This box was terrible, it consisted of a stale bread sandwich, an open water bottle with missing water, a brocken juice drink etc.. I had to throw it away on arrival at the airport which is were I opened it.
Room is tight, but the bathroom is huge.
Lovely property with a helpful and welcoming staff.
The facility was nice. The breakfast was fantastic. But the staff was phenomenal.
Great location, just 15 mins easy walk to Plaka and Acropolis. 4 mins from archaeological museum and a main pick up point for day tours. Have stayed here twice now and loved it. Great hotel with friendly staff, roof top pool and Acropolis view.
Great staff. Great centralized location.Amazing rooftop pool with view of the Acropolis.
Comfortable and convenient location in central Athens.
Great hotel, convenient and clean. Sky lounge for dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the Acropolis was sensational.
We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time! The room was nice, the view was spectacular, and the reception was very friendly and helpful! It is a little walk up the hill to get to the town and close to the bus station, shopping and dining. I would definitely stay again!
Staff extremely friendly and helpful
I liked the staff they were very helpful but the times for there services was not great if you planned to do things outside of your stay
The hotel was nice, staff was friendly & helpful. Didn’t like that the pool closed so early. It would have been nice on the hot days to swim but we never used the pool. Bathroom were really nice. A/C is mild, never really kept the room cool on hot summer nights.
Exceeds expectations
My stay was wonderful and the staff was beyond amazing!
Loved this hotel. Great rooms, amazing breakfast. Staff nice and helpful. Super clean. Only one small drawback, a bit of a walk (or short cab) to the key sites. If you are ok with not being right in plaka or monastravaki, then a GREAT hotel.
Great convenient location. Roof top pool gym and spa all awesome. Staff super helpful. Highly recommend it as a stay in Athens
The staff was very helpful and the food at the hotel was great
We stayed for one night! The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly!
We really loved the hotel, staff were great, very clean and updated common areas and rooms. The rooftop pool and bar were awesome. Its is close to the restaurant areas and shopping short walks. very happy with stay!!!
Ive stayed here before & Id stay here again. I enjoy staying at this hotel. Also a central location.
Everything
Nice
The stay was ok. The room was a bit on the smaller side but nicely decorated. I had various problems with the ac, it didn’t cool enough. The breakfast honestly was not good compared to other Melia hotels I’ve stayed. The real problem here was when I ordered some room service food. When the staff member came to deliver the food, I paid her 30 euros (22 for the food and service, 8 tip) and at the end of my stay I was told I had never payed nothing at all and that I owed them. I assured them that I did pay and in fact payed extra for tip and we left it at that. 2 days later I received a email saying that they spoke to the staff member who turns out to be a supervisor and said we never gave any cash. It is embarrassing that that’s the management of that Melia location and for that reason was very disappointed with my stay. If you want you and your family to be called liars and thieves by unreliable and suspicious staff then the Athens Melia is the place to be for you!
The hotel was perfect except for the street noise the hard bed and the pillows were like rocks. The place around the hotel looks very dirty (the walls full of graffitis, people without home all around the streets)
Great location View and restaurant
Spectacular sea views. Great accommodations & staff. Short 10-ish minute walk from a quaint village with several great shops & restaurants and a short ride to the major cities for more shopping and dining options.
The staff was very helpful. The hotel was great.
The property is well maintained but in a relatively unsafe area, particularly at night when the place abounds in drug addicts and prostitutes. We were walking back to the hotel at night and felt very uncomfortable. Also, the streets are littered with trash and not well-lit.
Great customer service!!
Loved the 24/7 customer service!!
Was expecting a partial view of the acropolis, instead had no view. Their response was no rooms were available.
Nice hotel, some staff could be better
Hotel itself was lovely and the female members of staff were great. The same cannot be saod for the male members of bar and restaurant staff who were too busy on their phones to serve and kept forgetting orders etc which ruined our meals. Fortunately the food supervisor and receptionist was great when we told them about this and couldnt be more appologetic
Nice place, area is ok location is great.
Family room is excellent
Overall very good experience, if in Athens again we will reconsider this hotel for our next stay with the kids.
Room was good. Service was good. On arrival we were told there was no outside space open. This was the reason we booked the hotel. They opened the outside space on the day we were leaving so we finally saw the acropolis from the rooftop. They did apologise and offer a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit.
Nice
Birthday celebrations in Athens
The hotel was lovely with friendly front desk staff. Check in was quick and the spa was a bonus (free). We got upgraded to the superior room on arrival. The room didn't have a great view but it was quiet with comfortable beds, jacuzzi bath and a mini bar. They do a lovely. well stocked buffet breakfast which was enjoyable. I booked a massage and 2 facials for my daughters 20th Birthday (4th). Over £200 euros which was quite expensive but, as it was for my daughter, I didn't mind splashing out on the treat. What I didn't like was being hustled to pay £212 more for the treatments they used on you. I politely decline of course. Make sure you tell the therapists before your treatments that you don't want any further services. It can become awkward when you've had a lovely relaxing time only for this to be asked of you. My therapists name was Popi. The roof top bar and pool wasn't opened due to it not being in season but I'd stay here again during the warm seasons so I can experience the pool:)
Melia Athens
Hotel situated at a Nice quiet area of Athens, friendly staff but walls a bit thin.

El agua para tomar te la venden y es muy cara, cuesta 6 veses mas que afuera del Hotel en mi opinion deberian por lo menos cobrar el boble o triple el precio de fuera del hotel y no 6 veses
