Thank you everyone at ME Madrid for making our stay in Madrid such a pleasure. This was the first part of our month long journey through Spain and everyone at ME Madrid was incredible. Thank you Alvaro, Ricardo and Nicole for all your help!! You are the best!
We loved the generous modern rooms in the characterful old building. Spacious clean and stylish throughout. Good breakfasts. Above all, great staff!
Great
Roof top bar was not open and was hidden. 😩
Brilliant location staff really friendly and informative great hotel all round
I was so pleased with my choice of Hotel. It was outstanding service & the staff went out of way to accommodate me. Hotel is beautiful, clean & smelled great. Location was the perfect area to walk to all major sites, restaurants, galleries.
Brief and pleasant stay
Very helpful and attentive staff. Well situated with onsite secured parking that you do pay for. Rooftop bar was nice!
Excellent stay. Thank you
The only downside was that the balcony rooms overlooking the plaza are quite small.
nice, clean, beautiful location
We had a great experience, the location is really good!! Walking distance to Plaza Mayor, puerta del Sol, Museo Del Prado. Many great dinning options. The rooms are a little bit small.
I was really disappointed with the experience, I had high expectations and were not accomplished
Very nice hotel centrally located. Great staff who were extremely helpful and friendly.
I cannot say enough about the kind staff at this hotel. Especially the woman at the front desk that helped find the right room for my son, who had an accident, and was on crutches. Customer service that cares is RARE and we are so grateful. Additionally, the hotel is perfectly located and has numerous restaurants and shops within steps. Could not recommend more!
Small gem with problems
I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. The hotel has a smell of gases from the sewer lines. I had to run the water in the room to get the smell to go away. The breakfast is way overpriced! $25 per day is way too much.
The staff are very nice and accommodating.
Rooms are very small. Have stayed here on and off from 2004. The front office staff are good. But the lobby is like a train station. Also, the pictures on the wall are tacky. This is a hotel not a beauty parlor or modeling agency. Come on! Back on 2004 they had pictures of matadors and bulls. Very authentic. On Sunday when we checked out, breakfast was supposed to open at 7:30. It was open with literally no service. No body to cook eggs and nobody to get us a cappuccino. Guess everybody is upset with the Real Madrid loss. The bartenders were nice - Diego and Pedro (the bald guys) - that’s what one of them says jokingly. Very customer service oriented.
Great property. Great room, the staff was very responsive, we wanted to hot tub on, they asked what time and what temp...great staff!
Quite outdated rooms, poor card reader as had to change them twice daily, 1st floor rooms very noisy
Not maintained and they try to overcharge
Hotel tried to overcharge us by about $50 and front desk person was a complete liar. Took 2 separate maintenance visits to fix air conditioners. I had to tell them the ac problem was the air vent-the air filter was totally plugged and evidently had not been changed for more than a year.
Room excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Situation perfect. Rooftop views amazing.
6 d in Madrid
Great location. Concierge not always available but helpful when she was . Rooms were spacious and great view of Plaza Ana
Muy bueno muy atento me gusto
Staff were very helpful, food was good and in an excellent location.
Wonderful location! Nice workers.
This is our 3 time staying at the Me Media in Madrid. It’s a very pretty hotel with lovely staff and very comfortable rooms. It’s located very close to many important sightseeing places within walking distance and tons of cafes and restaurants very close by. The building it self is beautiful and offers parking directly underneath the hotel at an extra fee but makes a world of a different if you get there in a car! Highly recommend this hotel.
Our home away from home in Madrid. Great staff property and super fun location.
If you expect a 4star hotel, don’t waste your money here. It’a not the same as the picture. It’s very old, dust and rust are everywhere. There was a mold in AC. I booked for 2 nights and I checked out right after check in even though I loose my money beacause I didn’t want to stay even a night. The staff was willing to change the room but they said the condition of the rooms are all same. There are no point chaning the room. If you want to stay in clean and nice hotel, this is not the place for you.
The hotel staff and location were excellent. Unfortunately, having a room on the 1st floor is problematic if you want to go to sleep at 10:00. The street activity below the window can continue till 3:00 in the morning.
Perfect location. Perfect staff, everyone from receptionist, concierge, porter, and restaurant staff all excellent.
Excelente todo, ubicación privilegiada y muy seguro
Great!
Hotel was in a great location walking distance to everything. Got to check in early for a small fee which was huge and very much appreciated. Room and bathroom both very large. We loved the large balcony and made good use of it. The room was very clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Liked the roof top bar. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent value for price.
The hotel is praised for its prime location, making it convenient for exploring nearby attractions. Guests consistently highlight the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities. Additionally, the staff is noted for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience.
I always come back to this hotel. Love it!!! The hotel has the perfect location, rooms are pretty and comfortable and great staff.
The terrace is great. The ambiance, the views a.d the service.
Excellent property. Highly recommend. Would definitely book again.
A lovely hotel but an awful lot more expensive since the last time we stayed there.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Room was spacious , clean, and bed was super comfy! They gave us a welcome gift of cava which we really enjoyed ! Thank you !
Muy buena atención los cuartos muy bonitos y limpios
Outstanding hotel, we enjoyed ourselves. Cant wait to come back
i really liked it so i would recommend
Excellent location and the staff were very helpful and friendly
This was a beautiful hotel in a great location. Pool area was awesome too. Room was modern and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This property looks and feels tired. Its location is excellent.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They just need a roof top swimming pool.
It is an excellent place close to the main tourist areas in downtown
The best hotel ever in downtown Madrid, I strongly recommended it. Every thing is perfect, clean, location and service, the only downside from my opinion is the breakfast not worth the 25 euros. Thanks
Great location and beautiful property
The room was clean, well maintained, comfortable, and built and designed with high quality.
The property needs better cleaning. We got a very small room and had to open three doors to enter to our room. The service is great, there was a guy called Echavarría that was actually nice and gave us some doggie bags and treats for our dogs (thing that was not done at reception) I called room service to order unseasoned fish and rice for our dogs and was charged €49 for such a simple dish. It was definitely my mistake for not asking the price ahead, I just didn’t know the room service was a total rip off. Great location, just needs some remodeling and removing that horrible rug in the floors.
Beautiful building. Very trendy. Friendly and helpful staff
Great place
Nice surprise
Great stay after a last minute VRBO disaster! Super helpful front desk staff! Location was perfect too
Good location
Service was excellent! We felt safe and pampered by all the staff. The location was great. It was easy to access shopping and beautiful monuments. It was noisy at night due to people walking the streets late at night but after a full day of walking we didn’t find it hard to sleep.
Great location right in el Barrio de las Letras. Easy walk to anywhere in el centro. Would stay here again.
.
Great staff, absurdly overpriced
The service was fantastic and the location was good, but the value was absurd. It felt like a 100 EUR per night hotel and not the 500 EUR they charged. I cannot recommend it
Overpriced for a fairly average hotel
The property is listed on Hotels dot com as having an airport transfer. That almost always means it's free. With this hotel that is not the case. You coordinate with them in advance regarding which level of service you'd like and pay them directly. The hotel then pays the provider. Our driver was great and so was his service; I have no complaints. But they should tell us upfront before we book the room that there's a cost. We made our reservation months in advance, but were given what seems to be a handicap-accessible room. If you're not in need of this kind of room it's a little annoying because there are no shower walls, so it's very difficult to avoid getting water all over the bathroom floor. The hotel location is convenient for walking around town. When Real Madrid is playing it can be noisy. Food was good. Overall it felt quite overpriced given our extensive travel experience.
Great place to stay, very close to everything
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant
We will be back
We have visited Madrid a few time before and also had dinner at the restaurant located in the hotel so this time decided to try the hotel and was not disappointed. We selected a room with a view of the Plaza and was very happy we paid the extra. The staff at reception are really friendly, the hotel style is perfect, room was large and very clean with an amazing view over the plaza. They have a roof top bar which has good vibes but not the best for views due to the high walls but a perfect sun trap. Highly recommend the breakfast and also the restaurant for dinner.
The best thing of the hotel is the staff, specially the desk , both Carols , Laura and Jelen all are incredible, thanks for everything.
This property is very run down. The rooms were old looking. Hallways are dark and have carpet. It does not smell very nice. I paid 405 euros for a superior room. It was very small and the coffee machine did not work. The staff was very nice but this hotel should not cost so much. Maybe it is the location it is in the center .
Excellent!!!!10
This was an okay hotel. Short walk to the metro. It was in an okay area. Breakfast was good. Staff were okay. Room was adequate. Overall okay.
Everything was awesome except the size of the room, we hardly could walk in there, my legs are full of bruises from all the times I hit myself with the bed. Overall was very clean bathroom was perfect size. The air freshener of the lobby was very strong, every time I’ll go out or in the hotel I had to cover my nose. It was a little too much.
Perfect location for exploring the core of Madrid by foot. Walkable to the museums, Puerto del Sol, and Plaza Mayor. Great flamenco right next door. And fabulous cocktails at Inclan Brutal 2 minutes away.
Great location, but a bit worn
Nice hotel, great location, great breakfast, but it’s a bit tired. For the price, could be freshened up.
👍
Love it, i will stay again
The place is in a great location and a lot of places to eat, with in walking distance to a lot of sceneries.
ME by Melia is a gem in the heart of Madrid. The staff is fabulous. They helped make our stay so memorable. Plaza Santa Ana and vicinity is super cool. Walkable to all of Madrid key sights and areas to visit. If you want quiet at nite do ask for a room higher than 1st floor (that’s 2nd floor in Spain) as Plaza is a happening place late at nite on Fridays and Saturdays.
Superb location in a middle of a walking, lively district. Pleasant and efficient check-in. Roof-top bar has a great view of the town. It is a bit pricy but worth a visit at sunset.
Amazing location. Rooms are very small and underwhelming for the price. odd configuration for the room.
Excellent location, great customer service, they go above and beyond call of duty to provide great service.
The staff are great
in a nice square with plenty of cafes
Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Short walk to major tourist sites. Plaza in front of hotel filled with outdoor cafes.
Great location, lots of restaurants, close to everything
This hotel was everything we needed for our trip to Madrid. It is centrally located, walking distance from all main attractions. The hotel has a beautiful terrace on the rooftop and a restaurant on the first floor with the besf Ibericos in the area. Their staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
This hotel is rated 4 stars, although its a 5 in my book, great vibe, facilities, location, services and staff.
Brilliant hotel and fantastic service
Brilliant hotel with great service in a fantastic central location which made getting around very easy and convenient.
The staff wasn’t very nice. Rooms were small.
Great Hotel, large rooms with great shower. Walking distance to the Grand Via and Plaza Mayor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also parking at hotel for an additional fee but week worth it! Definitely recommend the hotel and will stay there on my next visit to Madrid.
The property was in a great location, and very easy to access everything in central Madrid by foot! The room is very nice, a small courtyard view on a lower floor, however, it was quiet, and that was important. As a 4-star property, we only wished that they provided coffee makers in the guest rooms. Otherwise everything was great!
Friendly staff and great location.
It was great
Everything was great, service lovely. The only issue was there was only one outlet in the entire room.
We stay here frequently and the front desk and concierge staff are the best. The breakfast buffet is varied, well attended and friendly. Walking distance to Atocha, museums, shopping, restaurant's and theaters. Only complaint is that the Plaza Sta Anna is noisy until late daily and trash pickup is early.
Always stay here. Convenient and friendly. The Plaza can be very noisy until very late.
Great Location
Very smelly in the hallways... Thankfully never in the rooms but everytime we got into the hallway the stench was pretty bad...
It's pretty well located
Close to shops and a lot of dining options near the area
Love the Melia Reina Victoria!!!
When I am in Madrid, I’ll only stay here! Best is the location, but the hotel provides impeccable service and a cozy, clean and lovely room. I love this hotel so much, spent 9 nights last year and bought my family this year for 3 nights. There is no better location!
The staff was very helpful in getting me to know how to travel in Spain.
Will come back again and again
