Perfect night away

We booked a family night away for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Not a lot of hotels cater for 4 in a room as normally a roll out bed is involved. Our room was huge with 2 extremely large luxurious beds and a separate lounge type area. The hotel is finished off to an extremely high standard and luxury is definitely a key factor. We had a fantastic night away and we would definitely return.

Great location! Beautiful hotel...no late night reception though but wasn’t an issue for us

The breakfast was not good. Pancakes were terrible and scrambled eggs tasteless. The room was too warm no not enough fans. The hotel was very dark and disappointing for the price we were charged.

Disappointed

Beautiful hotel but really disappointed with our stay.Bedside lamp in the room did not work and the rooms were so warm we couldn't get the windows open for air. Despite this I woundnt be that fussy about little things so that alone woulnt have personally annoyed me enough to complain. The staff left me shocked at the level of unprofessionalism and for such a luxury boutique hotel I have had a far better experience with staff in the premiere inn. The staff were all lovely but it was almost like it was their first night on the job. When we arrived at reception we were greater by a lovely girl fast check in and friendly service but she did not explain where our room was and we were left to find it ourselves. We were not told about what was happening that evening in the hotel or any other relevant information other that breakfast was at 10Am. When we went for dinner we sat down asked for a drinks menu and ordered a bottle of wine and some food off the pub grub style menu which was basic with budget style food not what we were expecting. After we had our stater another table of people sat down and we overheard the waitress tell them about happy hour. By this time it was nearly over and we were raging we missed out on the drinks deals. The waitress didn't seam to bothered when we asked her about this and when asking the staff anything about the hotel/food/drinks/entertainment nobody knew anything and looked like they had never worked with the public before. So disappointed.
