Nice restaurant nice bar could stay open till 10 as 9.30 is a bit early. Beach could be maintained better eg sweep the sand and more sunbeds

We loved this hotel. The pools are a huge highlight, as is the spa. Amazing breakfast and walkable to the mall and many shops and restaurants. The rooms are incredible and everything is so clean. Would hugely recommend this hotel.

Maya Perfection! Nothing to fault with this incredible place. The beach location is perfect, staff are friendly and attentive, rooms are modern and of a high standard, grounds are perfectly maintained, oh and that lagoon pool was so dreamy! My wife and I arrived on our wedding anniversary so they upgraded our room to a lagoon suite and left us some sweet treats in our room which was a thoughtful touch. Happy hour at the tree house bar was a great way to spend the afternoon and the buffet breakfast was an incredible spread. There’s no doubt we will be staying at the Maya again!

Great resort, close to beach and walkable to many places.

This was one of the greatest vacations I’ve experienced. Our pool villa was exceptional and our butlers Angga and Pipit were absolutely incredible. We will surely come back!

Very hospitable and accommodating staff at the Maya. Spa was awesome. Plenty of GF and vegetarian options around the area.

Didn’t love the menu

A bit dissapointed after our stay. The check in was average, staff were a bit dismissive. Our room wasn't ready which was fine so we had our welcome drink which was fermented pineapple and was disgusting - rethink you're welcome drink. Got the room on the far end of the pool right next to the restaurant which would have been great if the room had have been sound proofed. Woken at 5am to staff getting ready for breakfast wheeling trolleys in the hallway and even on the pool deck outside the room. The deck was getting some much needed attention with a guy hammering nails outside our room at 6am .. Impossible to sleep. Spa treatment was just terrible. Other than those things, the beds were good, the restaurant meals were lovely, the breakfast was great and the bar area overlooking the beach was nice and made good margs. Would I stay again? Probably not.. I may come and dine here tho.

Maya Sanur was excellent. The only things we had were very very minor issues. Wish there were more dining options as sometimes coming back from a long diving day we didn’t want to go far to eat. The only other minor issue is that sometimes they would forget to put the body lotion, towels or refill the soap bottles, but we would call housekeeping and they would come within minutes. The staff was super kind and friendly and went out of the way to make the stay pleasurable. Would definitely come back

Great for a Four star, Just good for a five star.

Very nice, family-friendly resort right on the beach in Sanur. Location is beautiful, staff is helpful and friendly and it’s a short transfer from the airport. Clean, has room service that I believe is 24 hours and many pools. Overall, I’m not sure it was a five-star hotel experience, falling short on luxury, food, and was more crowded/less exclusive than the pictures made it seem. Had I booked a four star hotel I would have said this was excellent. Since it calls itself a five star, I feel it fell a little short, but still is a great hotel and location that I would have no problem recommending .

Beautiful looking hotel in a great area in sanur . Friendly staff and lovely new and clean rooms . We sadly did not feel that it felt 5 stars and has some improvements to make . - the lagoon pool can only be used by guests in the lagoon rooms and this is not advertised clearly on their website - the Main pool is packed and does not provide rest , it also was so cold that we could not swim in it which we have not had at a hotel before. - the family pool does not get much sun and is freezing cold . - cocktails were very watered down compared to other places . If they had an adults pool and heated it , I would consider returning .

Maya Sanur - we will be back!

We loved staying at the Maya. It is such a beautiful resort. We stayed in a lagoon side room and it was a great location within the resort. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of it. We enjoyed the Tree Bar at night for drinks and live music. My wife and her friend went walking along the boardwalk that runs along the front of the resort from which wonderful photos of the sunrise could be taken. Reception staff were wonderful, as were all staff we encountered during our stay. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel but gluten free options sadly lacking for all meals and non existent for the included afternoon tea …. Menu very restricted and repetitive overall so recommend eating elsewhere

Excellent Hotel to stay in Sunur. Clean - peaceful area of Bali and the hotel is beautiful. Lovely staff, very affordable restaurants and great Happy Hour with live music. Would definitely recommend.

Loved our stay

Hotel was exquisite. Beautiful design, room was comfortable and well presented, it would have been nice if the TV was smart to allow for casting content., although we didn't spend much time in the room. Happy hour and dinner by the pool was a favour of my family with two young girls. They swam and ate until the pool closed at 8pm (it would have been nice of this was open to later). The staff were friendly and helpful. There were bicycles to borrow for a ride along the beach pathway which extended for several kilometres infront all the hotels and residences. The beach was clean but the 'lagoon' wasn't for snorkelling, I would have liked this more if I could snorkel directly from the hotel. But the trip to Nusa Penida was quite quick from the hotel, where snorkeling is better. Many restaurants outside the hotel with Spa and little boutique stores/ gift shops along the way. Overall, a lovely stay at Maya Sanur

Fantastic resort won’t not stay anywhere else

I would love to rate the hotel 6 out of 5 if I could. I had a fall, and I was swarmed by staff immediately. A wheelchair appeared out of nowhere and a nurse came to check what damage was done. I didn't have to wait long for the doctor who gave me stitches. The duty manager was also present, and they sent away for something for me to eat and drink. There was also follow-up from the nurse a couple of days later when she redressed the wound. We have stayed at Maya many times before, and apart from wonderful rooms and amazing staff, this only confirms what exemplary service they provide. This time we had other family members with us, and they absolutely loved the hotel. But all they were blown away by how well I was looked after. It's a given that we can't wait until our next visit. Thank you everyone.

I booked the room and it shows the choices for 4 adults to live in a room. However, it was then found that the room is actually only suitable for 2 people. We have no choice but to order another room. If we could know in advance, then we could book two rooms in the very beginning. The hotel should restrict the capacity to two people for a room. Otherwise, it would be very disappointing and impact our mood for the trip.

Our fourth stay at this luxury hotel Comfortable and well appointed rooms We noted renovation to some public areas that added to our experience although our room was in need of some attention (chipped tiles / counter top - stained blind / seating) Too many staff at breakfast led to inefficiencies ( table cleared before we’d finished) but breakfast selection excellent and all staff trying to be as helpful as possible We will avoid staying again when school holidays prevail as family groups with small children spoilt the usual tranquility of our stay

Construction outside the room during the day. Not great for couples, lots of children in every pool including right outside the pool access rooms. Ants in the room, and black flies on the patio due to sandpit. Great for families, not so great for luxury or honeymoon.

We enjoyed our 6 night stay in impressive lagoon room. Breakfast was great with ample variety. Rahayu was informative, very helpful and always greeted us with a smile

A beautiful hotel on Sanur beach. Fantastic rooms. Lovely pools and all the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Great location with restaurants all around within walking distance.

Most of the staff are good. Room’s noisy and not cleaned properly bathroom had sell in it several days. Outdoor chairs very uncomfortable. Pool towels stained some days. Breakfast was hit and miss waited 20 minutes 1 day for scrambled eggs stone cold when they arrived. Asked for late check out told had to move rooms and pay half a day for 3 hours. Been going to Bali twice a year since 1990 first hotel not to help out with late check out. Going back in 5 weeks was looking at Maya sanur and Maya Ubud not now will not stay there again.

This was our second visit to the resort and will be our last. Staff and rooms generally very good, but several problems, 1. very disappointing service trying to do a tour. We asked reception to book us a tour of Uluwatu and including 2 to 3 hotels/bars up there, instead of being booked onto a proper day tour, they had the hotel driver take us, he had very limited English so hard to communicate, he was given a scrap of paper where to take us, the whole day was a waste of time, i.e. the Rock Bar didn't even open till 4 pm each day, we were dropped there at 2 pm 2. Room 314, the bed is falling apart, getting into bed during the night, the bed would creak so badly it woke my partner up every night. 3. on the first Saturday night, one of the nearby hotels had loud music blaring out till 23.00, so couldn't sleep till it stopped 4. the TV options for Australian guests is hopeless, one of the most limited choices for a 5 star hotel I have encountered 5. Every day, guests would stake out all of the pool lounges just after breakfast, although you had to give your room number to get a towel, there is no penalty or attempt to get them returned, so many lounges stayed reserved all day as many guests didn't bother or feel compelled to return them.

Nothing fishy here!

My husband and son went fishing one morning and caught a substantial fish and on a whim brought it back to the hotel to see if they would be willing to cook it for us. They were so gracious and made it such a fun experience. We really appreciated their willingness to be flexible with an unusual request!

This hotel was perfect for a 4 day stay. Yes we wished it were longer! Amazing staff, wonderful food, rooms immaculate and spacious. Loved breakfast, evening drinks and pools. Decor is tasteful and the feeling of staying in a garden was wonderful. Any areas for recommendations? Well not really but maybe some artwork to brighten up the dark covered walkway passage to the breakfast location, and perhaps a pop-up bar at the ‘Family pool’ which was empty with families and kids preferring the main pool contrary to the pool ‘rules / guidelines’. Overall, loved it and would return!

Will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future.

We absolutely loved the property and service at Maya Sanur. We wished we had booked a couple extra nights here because it is such a beautiful place, great food & cocktails on property and every employee is helpful and friendly.

Bali holiday

Everyone at Maya Sanur was so friendly & helpful. If we had a question or needed something they were eager to take care of our request, From Breakfast to the dinner we had on the bech & the couples massages we had, everything was superb!

Outstanding resort that's not too big. Loved the lagoon pool. Had a ground floor room and walked straight out the sliding door into the pool.The housekeeping and maintenance people are doing a fantastic job as this place is spotless everywhere. The breakfast was varied and of excellent quality. Loved the food and drinks at the Tree Bar, and the live music every night. Not many people on the beach and had it all to ourselves. Not surprisingly, all the staff were lovely and eager to assist anyway they could. Highly recommend the Maya. See you next time.

Decided to stay at Maya Sanur for the first time as we wanted to stay somewhere less crowded than the usual Bali haunts. It was a great decision - Maya Sanur offers many activities for guests to do such as yoga, picnics, afternoon tea and more. We really got more than we expected :) The staff were all very friendly and are professional in their interactions with all the guests. Do try out the Tree Bar - all the programmes are really great and my favourite was the Pop Ballad night. Rooms are very modern and clean. It was also very spacious, which gives off a real luxurious feeling. One thing to note though, the long pool that you see in the photos is actually a private pool meant for those in the pool suite. The actual public pool is rather small but still enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Sanur area if you want to enjoy a chill trip - my entire family felt rejuvenated. Thank you, Maya Sanur!

Great location. Right on a wonderful beach and boardwalk. Walking distance to some great restaurants. Great happy hour on site. Best massage my wife and I have had on this trip. Linda and Eka were amazing. Can’t say enough good things about them. Eka even came in on her day off! And Padmini in the restaurant was great too. She always looked after everything we asked.

This was an amazing choice. Great location on a wonderful beach board walk but you hardly wanted to leave the resort it was so nice. Friendliest people we have ever encountered traveling the world

Just perfect

My daughter and I loved our stay at Maya Sanur. It was right on the beach with a great cafe and great service. We stayed on level 4 in the Nest suite with a great view. They also have a great Garden area on the roof.

The Maya is a beautiful resort right on the ocean. The rooms were spacious, beds are comfy and bathrooms are gorgeous. The good was good, though we did experience better dining at different establishments outside of the property. The pool was crowded and finding spots was a little challenging at times. There were a lot of kids at the main pool each day we were there but we were able to find spots on sun beds on the beach.

This was a great hotel, right on the beach front but within walking distance to some great shops! Breakfast and lunch was lovely Very relaxing by the pool which was also lovely Staff very friendly and helpful

Beautiful resort on the most Centre location in Sanur! Room was amazing , stunning swimming pool by the beach,! staff were very friendly and helpful! Reallly enjoyed our stay! Would come back to stay again ! The only annoying experience was the water Yoga in the pool at the peak of afternoon, so disturb guest’s peace， it was so long and only 4 people joined the yoga, but disturbed much more guests enjoyment around the pool( even thought it was good intention of the resort to give the free course )! But overall this resort is very well managed !

Staff were awesome especially Rani, Padmini and Ayu who couldn’t do enough for you. Always greeted you with a smile and readily accommodated any request. Cooking class was excellent and conducted with you actually cooking and then being served in a beautiful location overlooking the beach with starched white tablecloth table dressed with flowers. Absolutely amazing! Yoga sessions were a perfect start to my day. Tree bar happy hour cocktails overlooking the beach were a highlight of our visit. Location was excellent on the water. Best place to stay in Sanur based on the fact that this was out fourth visit to Sanur.

Decent room, bad service

While the room was nice and the included breakfast was okay, the service was disappointing. I had difficulty setting up my trip to Nusa Penida. They don’t have machines for you to do your own laundry so I did their regular service. At the end of the day, my laundry still hadn’t been returned so I called. Eventually they came and delivered it in a basket and asked me to pay a large sum of money (even for USD) on the spot. The following day, I found my laundry had been ruined, including two new brand name shirts that were expensive. There were bleach spots all over everything. I called and someone came down to “inspect” my claim. They acknowledged the problem but said they couldn’t do anything and had someone else come and inspect it. That person said they will have the manager look into it. The day I was leaving (two and a half days later) I brought it up and I told the manager I should be compensated. He wanted to talk during checkout. Well, him and another man basically bullied me in the lobby and wanted to inspect my clothing (in front of other guests) and acknowledged the spots. I had a taxi waiting. I gave into their low amount (not even the amount I paid for laundry service) and it wouldn’t be paid back until they could do some accounting on their end. After that I had to use a social app to get at least the full amount for the laundry service back. Eventually, I was compensated for this amount, but I should have been treated better and compensated for more than that.

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. At the end of resort, we can access beach. Evening music near bar was fantastic. It felt like a private beach, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. We enjoyed couple spa. Daily kids activities by kid club were fantastic. My family has enjoyed a lot. Thank you Maya Sanur Team.

Fabulous Hotel in a great location. Love to come back again

This hotel fronts the beautiful Sanur beach, yet the hotel entrance is in midtown Sanur, so you have the best of both worlds. It's so convenient for walking, jogging or cycling along the purpose built beach path or for going shopping and out to nearby restaurants. It's very close to the Sanur Supermarket. Food was great and prices very reasonable and great to have evening happy hours. Go the Lagoon room - amazing!

Yep, all the reviews are correct- this is an amazing hotel. Even in these uncertain COVID 19 times, the Maya in Sanur was everything that one could want in a hotel. Wonderful staff, amazing rooms and such a beautiful outlook. Loved every minute.
